I've been to a few nail salons before, but my nail artist, Jo, really stood out. She took her time shaping my nails and paid close attention to detail. I requested gel extensions with multiple designs, and the total came out to $118. Considering the level of detail and the time she spent, almost 2.5 hours, I definitely think it was worth it. The process was a bit long (my back was definitely feeling it by the end), but I'm so happy with how my nails turned out, perfect for graduation! I don't think it's necessary, because all the other times the regular gel is great. The pedicure is fine too. I'm a simple girl I don't do anything crazy with designs lately but they do good work. I've been consistently coming to Friendly Nails for the last few years. I usually call first thing…read morein the morning to check their availability for the same day & if it's too busy I'll ask to book an appointment for the next day or future date. All of the nail techs are great! I request for Cici when I want to do cat-eye or more simple gel manicures. If I want more artsy designs, I'll usually request for Ella or Karen. Gel manis are still $45, with full cat-eye adding an additional $15. Hand drawn art design nails may add between $4-6 per nail, depending on the design; while if you're okay with stickers, it may be $2-3/each. More intricate nail designs will require more time & cost more depending on what it is -- so I would inform them if this is something you want to do so they can allot the right amount of time for your booking. I typically spend about 1.5-2 hours to get my nails done (including removing the previous months' nails, nail trimming, shaping, cuticles, etc.) As stated before: Easy parking in the First St. structure behind the shop. Restroom available in the back of the store & always clean. They also do have bottled water, if needed.

I was originally quoted $80 for a Gel-X set, but once I arrived I was told there would be an additional $10 charge just to remove my existing Gel-X. From there, nearly every option came with another surcharge. Glitter was an additional charge, and placing the glitter at the base of the nail instead of the tip increased the price even further. The pricing structure felt confusing and constantly changing, making it difficult to know what the final cost would be. After hearing the additional charges, I decided against getting a new set and paid $45 for a manicure after the Gel-X removal. For $45, I expected my natural nails to leave looking polished and professionally finished. Instead, I left with: * Jagged, uneven nail edges that were not properly filed * Visible product residue still left on multiple nails * Uneven nail surfaces * Dry, unfinished cuticles * Nails that looked incomplete rather than professionally manicured I took photos immediately after leaving because I couldn't believe this was the finished result. The service itself was also disappointing. My technician, Annie, repeatedly stopped working on my nails to answer phone calls and attend to other matters. The appointment felt interrupted and rushed instead of relaxing. A manicure should feel calm and focused. This did not. The salon also raised concerns for me. The supply/storage area visible to customers was cluttered and disorganized, and I observed nail files being reused, which made me question the sanitation standards. Even checkout was frustrating. I wanted to leave a tip for the technician who performed my pedicure because she did a nice job, but the payment process made it difficult to direct the gratuity to the correct person. The biggest disappointment is that none of these issues should exist regardless of the price. Whether a manicure costs $25 or $45, customers should leave with nails that are smoothly filed, free of leftover product, and professionally finished. Those are basic expectations--not luxury extras. I left feeling disappointed, overcharged, and with nails that I could have filed more carefully at home myself. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I cannot recommend this salon.

It wasn't too bad, so I didn't think much of it. Unfortunately, when I came in today, I was cut again, but this time it was much worse. My finger is now swollen and hurts. I've also noticed that the filing and buffing can be pretty rough. Considering my set cost $85, I would expect a little more care and attention during the appointment. I'm including a photo of how my finger was cut for reference. I honestly wish I didn't have to leave this review because I do enjoy coming here, but I hope this feedback helps bring attention to these issues so they can be improved.

There was only once where the specialist was a little hesitant due to the stones needed for the design. But I appreciate the honesty and the quick alternatives they offered and it came out even better. my winning factor is when they are taking off old polishing or prepping the nail THEY ARE SUPER SOFT. My old nail girl would cut me and here at crystal nails they are very meticulous and careful, I cannot emphasize how careful they are with filing. I came to this location because my original salon was busy. Thanks to yelp, I found this location and decided to give it a try. The employees do not speak English very well, but they are very accommodating by using Google translate and answer every question I have. Every single experience I've had with Crystal Nails has been amazing. I came in on a whim one day when I needed to get a gel mani/pedi. I've always gotten regular gel nails, but Kiki and Annie really turned me into a lover of Japanese gel nails. They last wayyy longer, have never chipped, and last until you simply want a new color. While the Japanese nail gels are slightly more expensive they have also lasted much longer, making it well worth the slight splurge. read more

There was no wait when I arrived on a Sunday afternoon, even though the other employees were helping others. Kiki did my nails personally, which was nice. Bonus which is she speaks English. The set up is super cute and cozy, definitely not like a regular nail shop, it gives girl vibes lol I went for a regular pedicure for $30 as I'm not the biggest fan of gel for $55. My pedicure was so nice and they seem to use new tools, from what I saw. I would love to come back and get gel x nails here, they had so many different options to choose from! Friendly nail techs and snacks are left near you if you want.

They speak an assortment of English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, w Mandarin probably being their main language. They have some good gel colors to choose from; i got a cat eye. Not so much for regular non-gel polishes. I ended up getting my first gel pedicure due to the lack of regular polish color choices. Loved my mani and pedi ($20 extra for my very THOROUGH extra callus scrub). While I didn't get any fun designs, this would be the place to go to for that.

I really try very hard to find the good in any business until they demonstrate the epitome of "bad…read moreservice." 1. I called and asked for full set gel nails and manicure. 2. Grateful they were available on a Sunday (mind you I'm traveling and decided to wait till this trip for these fine services...my self-care for a rough last few months helpinghomeless youth and young adults.) 3. My manicure was a portable footsoaker and I only soaked in between taking my feet out for service. I had to use a small stool to place my feet upon. (I was too embarrassed to take a photo!) I had to ask for a second pillow because it was hard on my, just massaged back from Alibaba Foot Spa &Massage. One young lady was "doing" my feet while thr second one worked on my nails.(‍ use your mind to visualize how awkward that was and how I was sitting. 4. The young lady that was working on my feet did a great job, I must say as far as cleaning up my toes with filing and cutting, etc. 5. The young lady that was working on my fingers, I'm not sure what and how the communication went wrong. We struggled with understanding gel polish for my nails and regular polish for my toes. It also didn't help that she could not understand English very well. I wasn't bothered until she lost all communication about my nails. I was waiting for her to pull out nails, as I asked when called. However when I ask where were the nails to apply with the gel polish, I was told that they would cost $75 contrary to the $50 charge originally given. I told her nevermind and that I would go elsewhere for my nails; and will only finish up my feet. We're not counting the time wasted for no nails at this at this point. 6. At the checkout, I pull out my credit card to pay for the "limited services" and was told the charge was $50 ($30 for feet and $20 for cleaning my nail cuticles. But no gel or nails! 7. Lastly, a third young lady informed that they only take cash, Zelle, or Venmo! Mind you when I called and arrived, it was never told to me the form of payments. Probably because when I arrived, the young ladies seemed a bit discombobulated and I pray it wasn't because of my skin!! The service received was NOT close to being fair! And to think that I used Google to find them and they had a 4.6 review and was 3 minutes from my wonderful Massage...remember I was in need of Self-care! I missed one review from Layla 3 years ago, "If you aren't of Asian descent don't come here!" This is troubling if you are in the nail industry and can only do "one" race. Let that be known on the front end and not after unspeakable service and charges!

She was nice although she must've asked me if I wanted to get my eyebrows done - WHICH I had just gotten done perfectly somewhere else ( but I understand the upsell...) - 10 times . She did cause light injury and bleeding to two nails due to sanding too close to edge. It hurt and stung like heck. Anyway, Ill just leave a picture of my fugly nails and let that speak for itself.
