Afterwards she switched with the male and he started working on my nails. He did a terrible job at painting them white. I could see through into the acrylic. Never did he ask me if I was okay with the nails a once he was done. All he said was $45 and if it was cash or card. I left in a hurry because my son had an appointment. I called after and the male answered the phone. I explained to him what the issue was and his words were "paint over them so you won't see through " I told him can't you fix you did the work. We called at 11:30 am to ask if we could get couples mani/pedis at noon. They said 12:30 & quoted $40 for normal color. They even called at 12:20 to make sure that we knew the address. The technicians were very friendly, and the woman who did my nails was named Julie. The shop was clean and bright and well ventilated. They have all their colors in gel and normal polish options. The gel mani cost only $16 more. The massage chairs are comfortable, and the speed of service was perfect. I did not feel rushed to leave, but I also didn't feel bored or ignored at any time. The BEST part of the experience is entertainment. Normally, a nail salon will have on news, sports, or a foreign language channel, which are all ok. But Venus Salon played magic... YouTube of AGT best magicians... just the magic part and then next magician. It was fun to watch and the least stressful TV possible. Definitely will return! read more

My boyfriend got a plain manicure and when I called prior to showing up they said it was $18 but charged him $29. They cut 3 of his fingers. We unfortunately will not be going back. I've finally found a nail salon that does amazing work! I'm very picky and rarely go to any salons because the technicians always cut my skin and don't paint my nails well. I am usually fixing it when I go back home. But thank goodness I stumbled upon Venus Salon!!! Matthew did French tip acrylics with a nice rhinestone design for me. He was very meticulous and took his time. I have no complaints at all. I would recommend asking for him or his wife if you want gel (she did my friend's and it turned out great!) This salon has been recently remodeled and is super spacious with lots of massage chairs. It was easy to make a reservation for me and 3 of my girlfriends. They were even able to accommodate for a walk in from our group who decided last minute to come. I will definitely come back on a regular basis. 10/10 highly recommend!!! read more

What a shame. I have already written a great review for Julie. She must have gotten very comfortable with all the good reviews because the last time I went, my "gel" nails started lifting in 2 days. Couldn't get in there that week to get them fixed and KNEW something was wrong anyway. Sure enough, my friend's manicurist took care of my hands. It took over 2 hrs for her to get the junk off my nails. She said she did not know what these were but they were NOT gel nails. Got a new set, which have been perfect for 2 weeks. BTW? Stopped by Venus on my way home. Told Julie what my NEW manicurist had said about my nails. Asked for my money back. Julie's face made it clear that she knew what had happened and that she was at fault. But no refunds because I didn't come in within the first few days. Told me I should have come in to see HER to get them fixed. The logic in that was terrific. Said she "couldn't" give me a refund because of policy. I loved this set that I got so much that I came back here to get it again, but this time Matthew did my nails. When Julie did this set the last time she was efficient and detailed, so I recommend you reserve her, she is amazing. I was not even going to update my rating and let things go but I had a terrible experience today when I had to come back into the shop for the FOURTH time (not including the visit where the full set was done) since Matthew could not put the rhinestones on my nails properly. For context, I had gotten my nails done on a Monday and today is Saturday. Granted I was a walk in, but he rushed throughout the whole process, each nail is a different shape and color and it's incredibly obvious that he was rushing when you look at my nails. The rhinestones (which were an extra $5 for two of them) REPEATEDLY fell off on both of my hands, and every time I came back in I was polite about the situation even though I grew more frustrated with each visit. I understand that he was probably frustrated too, most likely seeing me as reckless in doing things to cause them to fall off, but I never had this issue when Julie did my nails prior. Those stones were STUCK on there for over a month until I got my set filled without any issues. So the fourth time I went in, they were pretty busy and Matthew looked at me and screamed "WHAT DO YOU WANT?" I was immediately taken aback at the blatant disrespect, and he made Julie come and fix my nail since he was busy. She told me they'd have to charge me if it fell off again, and I asked her "Why is it my fault if it is not put on properly?" She replied that I need to wash my hands more carefully. What??? I have been getting gel acrylics for over 6 years now AND HAVE NEVER HAD THIS ISSUE THESE ARE MEANT TO LAST THROUGH THE APOCALYPSE. Matthew then yelled something (I'm not sure if it was at me or at Julie) but the hostility in his voice was unbelievable. Do you think that I want to keep coming back too? Each time I watched him put on the stone he used nail glue to stick it on then made me cure it, then put the thinnest layer of top coat on. I thought "let me just trust the professional even though I remember Julie using GEL to cure it and make it stick" but now it's my fault for misapplication?? If i'm paying ~$60 for this simple of a set, I expect it to be well done and to not be screamed at. Julie used gel again to put the rhinestone on and reassured me it would not come off again. Go to Julie she's the only reason I'm not giving them one star!!!! read more
