Jason came out to look at our freezer drawer that was not closing properly but would still shut and create a seal. He diagnosed it down to one of the rails holding the drawer in place. He said the part would take 10 days to arrive and was on his way out when I noticed the drawer was not closing at all and was much worse than before he "diagnosed" it. Had I not noticed, the food in our freezer would have likely gone bad over the next 24 hours. Before Jason left, I brought the issue to his attention and he immediately got defensive, sarcastic, combative, and condescending. I was clear that I wasn't asking for a miracle, I just wanted the door to be in the same condition as before he took it apart (not worse). He wasn't having it and eventually left. In the interest of getting the part faster (the rail that Jason said needed to be replaced) - we asked Jason for the part number and told him we were going to order it ourselves, which we did. When the part came in, we opted to go with a different service team, Appliance Care and Repair, who were fantastic. The problem now was, however, the part that Jason told us to order was the wrong part altogether. It was the wrong rail. Appliance Care and Repair had the right part within days and our freezer issue was resolved. When I called the parts store to inquire about returning the part Jason told us to order, I was told it was going cost a 25% restocking fee, which was about $14. I contacted Jason, explained the entire situation, and asked if he was interesting in reimbursing us for the restocking fee (seeing that he charged us a $99 diagnostic fee to basically break our freezer more than it already was and then give us the wrong part number). True to form, he accused me of harassing him and didn't oblige. It's no surprise that other reviews here share my sentiment. I'd recommend looking elsewhere for your appliance needs. *update* When I arrived at the parts store to return the part, they informed me that whoever I spoke to on the phone was incorrect and there was actually no restocking fee; so all was well there. It's nice to see Jason's professionalism in the matter below as he suggests I need money ($14) and recommends me for counseling. read more

My full fridge/freezer died unexpectedly. He came out the next day. The part was ten days out . He helped me find a similar fridge for a great price delivered same day. He goes above and beyond. He is honest, ethical, and knows appliances. Do your self a favor and call him first!!! read more

Jason Cutler came to my home to replace a part in my dishwasher and repair my dryer that quit heating. Dishwasher is great. The dryer is not so great. I agreed to having the entire heating element with thermostat replaced. That was completed, and Jason tested to see that it heated. This was done by turning dryer on, running it very briefly, then feeling for heat. It produced heat. I used it later to dry clothing. Turned it on and it ran for approximately 2 minutes then shut off. There was heat inside. I tried all the other drying choices and discovered it worked on timed settings but not sensor. A thermostat is a sensor. I assumed a faulty thermostat in the new unit. When I called Jason he offered to come put my old thermostat into the new unit. I agreed, but I decided I paid for new, I want new. I called Jason back to tell him. He proceeded to speak very rudely and tell me he isn't going to put a new one in without being paid. He then tells me he was going to put my old one in to prove to me that it's not the thermostat. He eventually explains there is another sensor that controls that function. Then I understood. All Jason Cutler needed to do was explain there is another sensor that controls this function the first time I called. He did not need to "teach me a lesson" that I was wrong and speak to me rudely. I did understand that there is another sensor once I was told about it. So sad that a little positive customer service is not practiced at Cutler's Appliance. read more

I called and Jason answered the phone. That doesn't happen with most guys. He got me on the schedule straight away. Took a look at fixing my washer and dryer... both had issues. At the end of the service call... he recommended that I replace them instead of spending the money of repairing them. He doesn't sell appliances... so he was turning down the work. Completely honest... helped me make the best decision, even if that decision didn't benefit him. He could have gotten $200 - $300 out of me, but he did the right thing. Jason talks a good talk, a lot actually, but needs to read up on washing machines. I DEFINITELY DO NOT recommend this repairman at all. Here's why. Recently we paid him to service our Samsung front loading washer. It was not draining and gave the error code 5E. His conclusion was that it was a faulty pump and he replaced it, charged us a couple hundred bucks and left. After he left, it worked for 1 cycle and then again failed to drain. We had him return and after he blew out the hose he once again concluded it was fixed and he left. (He wanted to charge us for this visit but my wife said no.) Again after 1 cycle it failed to drain - exactly as before. At this point we definitely couldn't afford to keep paying Jason to come out and scratch his head. Would you? We now were forced to find someone who actually COULD fix the machine. So a different serviceman from a different company diagnosed the problem within a few short minutes. Unlike Jason he quickly realized and proved that a part from a check flow valve in the drain line had broken loose and was floating in the drain line. Because the rubber part was flat and disc shaped it would flip around inside the hose when water flowed by it and so would intermittently obstruct the drain. This explains perfectly why the pump was unable to push water through the line and why Jason could occasionally open the line just long enough to charge us money and leave. This cause for the obstruction never occurred to Jason. It never did. Not only that, but he declined to refund any of the money we paid him nor pay us what we had to pay someone else to fix what we had already paid him to do. He even said that unfortunately he couldn't repay us because we went to someone else (instead of calling him for a THIRD visit). Now seriously would you call him a third time? read more

He came out to repair a fridge that stop pumping out cold air. Was personable and very knowledgeable. Went through other appliances to mention general maintenance tips that should be performed to help with proper function and prolong their life. Will always call when anything stops working. Beware. Jason does not show up as he says he will. I contacted him on Wednesday June 8th, 2022 to see if he works on stoves. I have a rental where the stove was not working. I sent pictures, model number and the address by text. He said he would be out on that Friday 6/10/2022 after 2pm. I notified my tenant. On Friday just before 6pm I received a text from my tenant wanting to know if the guy was still coming to fix the stove since he has been waiting. I contacted Jason by text and he said I had given him a different address after speaking to him by text and he does not service Scottsdale. I looked back at my texts with him and saw that was not true. He was given the exact address and city by text. There was no notification from him at all saying he wasn't going to show up as agreed and his response to me was "use someone else" and " good luck using someone else for future repairs". I have all the texts as proof. Very unethical business and now my tenant has been without a stove for 4 days when I could have been looking for someone else. A courteous call or text saying he had made a mistake would have been more understandable. read more

Jason came to our condo in Tempe to fix our leaking refrigerator. Jason came by on the same day we called; he was working within a mile of us. We had smelled burning each time my mom ran her dryer. We had it for 9 years, so I thought maybe parts were getting old since it's used on the regular until the summer arrives. Jason opened up the entire front and back of the unit and quickly learned that lint was the culprit, again 9 years of lint. He showed me the heating plate cover that sits front and sidelong the unit. That plate cover gets bright red hot when run on high heat and there was lint all around it! He informed me this problem is a leading cause of house fires. To be clear, my mom cleans out the lint trap with each load, she's a laundry queen who keeps things clean. So it was a huge surprise to learn that although you clean the lint trap/screen, lint still goes everywhere. I'll add pics to show you. Jason recommended 3 years between cleaning. He was in and out inside of 40 minutes. I don't know why I was worried it would be a hassle, it was easy to reach him, easy to meet him, he cleaned up all debris; and he educated us on our washer / dryer as far as proper care. I will definitely be calling him back, and sharing his info with all my family & friends. Great service, and on time. My wine cooler was making loud noises at start-up, Jason came out to check it. Diagnosed a broken compressor, called distributors and manufacture to check on a new compressor. Unfortunately, they are no longer available. Unfortunately for me it required a part that couldn't be picked up until Monday but it was installed that evening!
