I am very disappointed in the silverware I received. I only used them for two times and they are chipping. The color is coming off of them and they are tarnishing. I did not put these in the dishwasher. I washed them my hand and dry them and I have silverware without The black areas on them. I would like a refund. They said this was a lifetime warranty. I do not have a dishwasher or have damaged it.It came that way chiped and discolored. Have not use thwm yet, NOT EVEN ONE TIME. The want my to buy more and they take off 50% on the new items. Terrible quality!! Terrible packaging!! Did not even come in a box!! Took them out of the packaging and they felt like plastic silverware. Also ordered these 3 weeks before Christmas and was told I would receive them before.... they arrived in the middle of January. I immediately started a refund which they wanted to give me a discount on my next order refund me 50% of the cost to keep them. I had no use for these garbage utensils so I settled for the $50 restocking fee and shipped them back. I would not recommend anyone to purchase anything from the cutlery collection. read more

I ordered wooden utensils as a Christmas gift on December 10th. They projected delivery the week of December 17 -24. The item was listed as "in-stock". I have found this to be misleading. The order originated in China, not the United States. The tracking they use is not helpful. The order has been "in transit " for two weeks. I inquired about canceling the order and was told that their policy doesn't allow in transit orders to be canceled and they couldn't tell me when the order will arrive. i will not be ordering from this company again. read more

I ordered a silicone cooking utensil set for my daughter for Christmas. Placed the order around December 10. It never showed up for Christmas. I was patient for about a month, tracked it, said it was delivered etc, I contacted the company and they said it was delivered. That was a lie. A month later I asked for my money back as i bought her a dofferent set on Amazon delivered i two days. Woman at Cutlery Collection then admitted it was never delivered and that they had it back at the facility. They refused to give my money back and said it was out for delivery. First off, I want to say that this shop has been around in Willow Bend Mall for many years. It says something about any retail shop that can stay in business for over 20 years. Second, the shop owner really tries to impress people with his involvement in the knife community. He's got a nice selection of custom knives. Unfortunately, his inventory is WAY over priced. Here's a classic example of a knife I purchased from him. This knife from https://www.knivesplus.com/hallmarktrapperhm-100tx.html is considerably cheaper than the $22.50 I paid for mine from Cutlery Collection. Perhaps the rent at Willow Bend or the marketplace there is the cause, but you can probably find any knife he has cheaper either online or at a large retailer like Academy Sports and Outdoors. He seems very knowledgeable and this expertise has value, but he has an attitude sometimes, which can make the shopping experience poor. He seemingly doesn't really want to service his customers the way someone interested in growing their business would. I think he has the shop to support his hobby and to put him in good stead with custom knife makers. I've only ever bought this one knife from him and I'll probably not buy any others. I did attend the customer knife show he sponsored and it was excellent, although I couldn't really afford many of the knives there. My recommendation is to stop in and look over his knives and then check online pricing before you buy. I wished I would have before purchasing the little trapper folding knife I purchased. read more

I came here on a Saturday around 1pm to get 5 knifes sharpened. The guy was extremely nice and told me it would take about an hour since he had another person's order ahead of mine. I did a little bit of shopping and came back in an hour and they were finished. It came out to $11 which was really cheap. He charges 40 cents per inch which is pretty cheap. I dropped off 3 pairs of seamstress' scissors for sharpening, 2 vintage pair, and one new, and they were all sharpened beautifully and all cut fabric like buttah, even my pinking shears! they were done in a couple of hours and the fee was very affordable. can not be more satisfied! on a side note, I would not recommend calling the store. Karl at Cutlery Collection has been in the business for 20 years now and has been running his store in the Shops at Willow Bend since it opened. In Brief: Karl's rates are reasonable ($4 / knife approx), his work quick (45 minutes for 6 kitchen knives) and his work is top notch. We had not had our Henckels sharpened since we purchased them in 2001 so I feared the worse. They were kept in their knife block and were never abused but I had somehow got it in my mind that if not sharpened regularly that they would be ruined. Karl dispelled these rumors and after sharpening our knives took time to remind us how to use the sharpening steal. Overall it was a great experience - I cannot recommend him enough. read more

Even fixed a nasty chip out of the tip of my best shun knife without significantly altering the silhouette of the blade, so AWESOME. I called twice yesterday and today (during business hours) and left two voicemails asking for a return call. I wanted my two blade broad heads (essentially a small knife at the end of an arrow) and two regular knives until I can learn to do it myself, and an archery store referred them as someone who could help. No return call. So I drove there. Not only would he not do it, which I don't understand, but would respect it if he were polite, he was extremely rude! He was sitting there texting and told me he didn't have time to return my call at any pout during the last two days. Then he made fun of me for not knowing how how to do it myself. These guys make the cut... Took some knives here for sharpening and two hours later they were ready. Upon returning home they were tested on a tomato, and we were able to cut some really thin slices. Very sharp, great job, thank you. They have some collectible knives and some mother of pearl knife sets too. This store sells knives of all sorts: hunting, cooking, pocket, decorative - in addition to scissors. The owner will also hone/sharpen your knives BY HAND! I dropped off a 10" chef's, 8" santoku, and 4" paring knife. They did really professional work for under $10. Highly recommend these people for dull knives! They also carry straight and double-edged razors as well as some shaving kits. Took in 7 kitchen knives (6 of which were a wedding gift 39 years ago!) and they were sharpened by the following morning - possibly better than new, but can't remember that far back! Plus one had a broken point which was 'fixed' and looks great again. Highly recommend, much more reasonable than the $100-$200+ electric knife sharpeners offered by retailers now. Easy access within the Willow Bend Mall. Excellent prices. I took in two dozen dull knives and got them back as sharp as razor blades. Don't do it yourself with stones or electric sharpeners. Even though I'm only 17, the owner showed me great respect and acted as if I was going to buy anything in the store and was very respectful towards me. He even did a great job on sharpening a Bowie Knife that had been dull for the past 5 years! Also I wanted to buy a small axe for chopping wood (don't ask why LOL) and it was priced at $65 and at the time I only had $45 and I told him if he brought the price down to 45 I would buy it and what do you know, he did! Today, I went to purchase a sword at the Cutlery Shop. The owner, Karl, apparently did not think I was serious enough to warrant showing me any piece except for a reported Damascus steel viking sword for $4,000. I was looking for an English longsword or similar piece for my collection, but since Karl was too busy sharpening a knife to even look up and just grunted some inaudible words, I decided to find something on line.
