Picked up a cute pillow in the bargain section at the front. Picked up all the food items I needed. Couldn't find everything (like you know those Pillsbury refrigerated biscuits and cookies? vanished or I just could NOT find them). Now, I will say that the time that I went it was not crowded BUT it was stocking time and the stocking staff was NOT friendly. I mean, they're busy, of course, but usually they at least say SOMETHING when you need to get past them. Nope, not this time. Barely budged out of anyone's way either. They were in the zone I guess. I had purchased other sponge holders at different Daiso stores, so... I was hopeful. This Daiso was located at Westfield Southcenter... a super huge mall with free parking and a clean environment! I went to the kitchen gadgets area and found white sponge holders with red Hello Kitty bows... perfect! It was just $2.25 plus tax! The woman at the self-checkout counter was very friendly and offered to help me. She scanned my items efficiently and cheerfully! I'll probably be back!

I looked for some Japanese cleaning tools and supplies and found an okay selection. I also looked for some stickers but their sticker endcap (not even an aisle) was lacking. So, it was worth it to visit to see what this Daiso had to offer, but I am not sure if I'd come back.

So yes, staff was a bit overly chatty about the dire conditions but who can blame them? This location really needs an overhaul to create safer conditions for everyone. In terms of stock, yes, it's fun to shop here, and they have good sales - if you be sure to check the expiration date! We enjoyed, for instance, getting some topnotch bagels for 99 cents.

When I tried to return it, the staff member, Marcel, accused me of breaking it myself, despite my explanation that it was already defective. She even questioned why I hadn't returned it earlier, as if I would return a perfectly working item. This entire experience was unprofessional. Marcel's handling of the return process was poor, and I wish she had better training in customer service. Otherwise, she would probably be better suited in the back room organizing clothes, as she is simply not competent in serving customers. I'm sharing this with my 115 million Google readers to warn them. Because of this, I will not be returning to this store. Additionally, this woman took the defective plier and did not give me my refund. I was also not provided a new return transaction receipt showing the item was processed back into inventory. I was only given my original receipt, so I am unsure whether the return was properly completed in the system, even though the product was taken back. She just gave me the old receipt back and no money was given. Usually, after a refund the cashier would give a new receipt along with the old and the money for the refund. It's about $7.00, so I guess she can keep it, but I will not be returning. This was honestly one of the worst customer service experiences I have had at a Ross location. What made the situation worse was the attitude and lack of professionalism during the interaction. Instead of trying to resolve the issue calmly or assist a paying customer, I felt like I was being blamed and dismissed over a low-cost defective item. Customers should not feel uncomfortable or accused when returning a broken product that clearly failed after normal use. I understand store policies exist, but there is also a proper way to speak to customers. A simple explanation, professionalism, and basic courtesy would have made a big difference. The way this situation was handled reflects poorly on the store's management and customer service standards. The worst service I ever had from this Filipino (Asian) woman.

Located near here is the Tukwila Pond park and adjacent natural reserve designed to recreate the wetlands that were lose when these malls, parking lots, and warehouses all went in and displaced nature. Turned out that water needed somewhere to go, and city planners chose this area. You will find easy access from transit here as well, and it is a short distance on bicycle from the Green River Trail, making this a high traffic shopping area for any shopper.
