I've been going to Cutters for about 15 years now and know the menu and prices better than most places. The food is very reasonably priced and they have a great beer selection for Belleville. If I were to label this bar, I would say it's a neighborhood bar with lots of regulars. the really dont like military, especially when in uniform. (even on a special community day) I know from personal experience on that one. Go to Applebee's or Smokey Bones instead where there is not so much tention on military ( especially when they are in uniform and living so close to a huge base) read more

Nothing on the menu is outstanding but it's all solid and there is a healthy array of choices (within the pub food variety). The draw here is the price - you might think you have slipped back in time when you see how affordable everything is. I didn't want to cause a scene since my friend had offered to pay for lunch, but the hamburger I ordered was salty, and the inside raw. Also, as it is a bar and grill I was surprised to see a family with several small children under school age sit down right by our table. Neither the waitress or management did anything when the baby screamed for 10-15 minutes and the children made a ruckus. The mother let the 3 year old run around and jump off the stage and climb on the railings with no regards to the safety of her child. When I turned around to see why the parents allowed the children to be disruptive with no regards to other diners, I could not help but notice the mother clearly had ill fitting jeans as her entire backside (plumber's crack) was exposed for public viewing. I rate this entire meal a one for food quality and and a one for atmosphere. I expect such a scene at local fast food establishments that cater to small children with safe playground equipment, not at beer joint. read more

This place would get five stars but two things hold back that final star. First, the cook staff get backed up easily which can lead to a long wait ( in our case close to an hour for two baskets of fries and Boneless wings). Expect a longer delay on Thursday wing night and the wings run out before 7 usually. The second was an incident just this evening. We arrived at seven pm, an hour before the 21 and up rule kicks in. I am VERY pregnant and we brought our 14 month old. Immediately upon entering we were basically hounded on about needing to see I.D. I responded with being that I do not drive this far in my pregnancy and this being a spontaneous outtting to satisfy my cravings, I do not have one with me. Before completing my sentence the older man shrugged at me and rolled his eyes. I turned the stroller to leave and tell my hubby we needed to find a new family friendly place to go and then the older man jumped up and covered his butt saying we could still stay I.D. isn't necessary for another hour, he just fell into the groove of asking , and that he should've figured I wouldn't be drinking due to having a child with me..... I am very understanding usually but you do not just fall into a groove of asking for I.D. and then shrugging and rolling your eyes very rudely at a family. My cravings got the best of me so we ordered, waited well over an hour for Luke warm pizza and fries. This experience really put me off to cutters, which is sad because I just discovered it and fell in love! I will be back no doubt before my due date and hopefully it makes up for this disaster of an evening. We shall see. UPDATE: after finishing this meal I will never be back. After the rude welcome we seated ourselves in the empty back bar room with another family who had been hassled. We had gotten our food for maybe ten minutes when a little waitress told the other family who just got their food that children were bot allowed ( even though there was no sign in this deserted area) . They explained they had literally just begun to eat and waitress just walked off. Five minutes later an older blonde came back and told us all children have to go now. Absolutely rude! We packed up food and left. The other family was also upset which is completely understandable. Sad that rude people with no sense of business can ruin such a decent place to eat. read more

Cutter's recently opened a pizza buffet called Best Pizza Buffet in the Green Mount Commons shopping center next to Hibbets Sports. I went on a Friday night, the price including drink was $9.33 not bad price but the selection of pizza was a joke, 6 pizzas and they were all some combo of pepperoni and sausage and 1 ham and sausage. The pizzas were very bland and had the appearance and taste of frozen pizza. If your looking for Cutter's pizza at this place you will not find it. I will not go back to Best Pizza Buffet. The place itself was very clean and staff was friendly but if your expecting to try various styles of pizza this place doesn't cut it. I have never written a review before but I felt compelled to, the pizza was that bad. Oh, and they have a salad bar with packaged lettuce and ranch in a squeeze bottle, throw some processed shredded bright orange cheese food in for good measure. the people here are rude. the bartenders don't know what they're doing. the manager is constantly yelling at her employees. no wonder this place has such a high turnover rate. at least the beer and food is cheap so it's not too much of a loss that the service is absolutely terrible. terrible staff. terrible management. there are so many other places to go that have better service for the same price of food and drinks. don't waste your time at this dump. maybe the bartenders should stop flirting with the same old married men that come in there everyday long enough to get repeat business! the dance floor is so small, even when they have bands you can't do much because the bands family and friends get that area. read more
