If you want to grill this is the place to go. We were visiting the area for work and cutting edge was recommended. They did not disappoint! Amazing meats (the 2" cut premium rib eyes were STELLAR) but the star of the show were the hand made sausages! Biggest selection I have ever seen and the owner makes them all herself. The hickory smoked brats were insane.. do not leave without her recommendations.... can't wait to visit next year. A Sturgis must!!!

Just cooked our ribeyes... freaking awesome. This was just the choice grade and a little pricey, but I still wholeheartedly recommend.

One of the best filet's I have ever purchased. Service was very friendly, contrary to other posts I have seen. Good burger too!

This market is actually the only market in the area, as the next one was 12+ miles away. Anyways, you can find Timmons Market next door to The Goodwill with plenty of parking available in the lot. My husband and I were pleasantly surprised with how big this market was, as we thought it was going to be a small market. There is quite a large selection of produce, meat, baked goods, etc. And the prices were relatively pretty cheap, especially compared to Safeway (which was 12+ miles away). We ended up purchasing chicken to cook for our dog (as that is part of her normal diet, along with her dry dog food and also vegetables and sometimes steam rice. Yes, we do cook for our dog because she deserves the best. We also made chicken for ourselves too), along with vegetables and some fruits (for ourselves and you know for our dog too). The aisles were clean and it was pretty easy to find things. The layout was similar to any other market. Service was friendly each time we shopped here. Overall, this was a nice market and would shop here regularly if I lived in this area.

After being inundated with burgers, I felt like something a little lighter/healthier was in order. AMBIANCE - just off the main strip of downtown Rapid City you'll find this cafe. Cafe is spacious and clean, and is connected to a brewery where, if you're inclined to do so, they will bring your food over to you while you sit there. The Brewery has board games you can play at your table and a variety of pinball machines. SERVICE - service was....ok. I was asking the guy about one of the toppings on the sandwich and he looked at me like I was an alien. Maybe it was his first day? Not sure. He was nice, but not as knowledgeable as you might like for someone working the register. MENU - they had a pretty good mix of sandwiches (hot and cold), and also had a few sides. I also saw they had some homemade lemonades and such, which I was tempted to try, but did not end up trying instead. FOOD - my wife and mother got the badlands sandwich which had roasted sirloin mushrooms, swiss and and side of horeradish mayo. My mom and I both did the rapid city which kind of seemed like a philly cheesesteak sandwich (grilled beef, onions, peppers, jalapenos, smoked gouda with a lime cilantro), while my kids rocked the pastrami. The sandwiches were a pretty good size (at almost $20 a piece, they better be). My kids thought the pastrami was good and after days of burgers, it was a nice change up. My wife liked her sandwich, which was mostly carried by the horseradish mayo. My mom and I thought our sandwiches were just...ok. The meat needed salt, and the lime cilantro was not very flavorful. I ended up stealing some of my wife's horseradish mayo which helped, but just a bit. OVERALL - good not great. Wish the meat was a little more flavorful and the food came out a bit quicker (there was only one order ahead of us and it took a good 20-30 minutes to get our food). Not sure I'd come back. After placing our order, it took 45 minutes to get our food, which seemed excessive for sandwiches, so it seems they're understaffed. Someone working at the connected bar actually tried to clear our napkins/silverware before our food even arrived! Thankfully, the food was good, save for way too much mayo, which was easily remedied. The standout item was actually the sticky bun, which we ate the next morning- one of the best I've ever had! All the drinks also look amazing- we tried some kind of berry lemonade that was exceptional. It was also my husband's first time trying bison, and it was thinly sliced to perfection. It appears that they have an excellent variety of breads. I'd recommend going here if you're not too hungry and have time to wait. And definitely get the baked goods!

Customer service is poor. Never a smile or "how are you", pretty much just what do you want. I only chose this place because KC meats down the street was closed and I didn't have time to drive to piedmont. When I picked up the meat, was where things went bad to worse. 1. Burger was not labeled by weight (now this is kind of my fault too since I didn't specify .5 lb or 1 lb.) but there are clearly different size packaging with no extra info. 2. Meats were labeled roast, steak or filet, oh and one package that says tenderloin. I have no idea what cuts of meat are why except the tenderloin. My backstrap is somewhere in there and not labeled. 3. Meat was wrapped in freezer paper...no big deal right? Well that's all it was wrapped in...no plastic wrap underneath. I already have frost and partial freezer burn on the meat and it's been one week since it got it back from them. Overall don't do business with this company. It is worth the drive to piedmont for the same price you get much better results.

You might say we were a captive audience. We were led through a long foyer with incredibly filthy, worn carpeting to an attractive banquet room with much newer carpeting. The tables were nicely set and the servers were friendly and attentive. Good dinner rolls and tiny but delicious house Italian salads awaited us. A simple charcuterie plate intended to be shared barely make it halfway around our table and was not replenished. We were offered wine or beer (included) and given a choice of 3 entrees. The Missus and I ordered the honey pepper salmon. The entrées tasted okay, except that everything arrived lukewarm and the portions were stingy. Dunno where the cheesecake came from, but good ole Sara Lee tastes better.

This is hearing damage level, folks! Service was awful. I ordered a margarita rocks, NO SALT. She brought it WITH salt. When I (finally) flagged her down she acted irked and argued that I ordered WITH salt. (Ummm no - but I will give her benefit of doubt because maybe she didn't hear me because it was so loud) They use germ laden self-pay ziosks because hey! Tip minimum of 20% for poor service quality and naturally we were charged for food we didn't order - two people and a $180 bill? No way. I ordered a $15.99 meal and so did my dinner companion and we each had just one drink and no extras. Once again, it took time to get any server to notice and resolve issue - no apology, just annoyance. I think they're annoyed because it's a SCAM and if you pay more without catching the error they get a bigger tip- funny they brought us the right meals then tried to charge us for Dallas ribeye and a large filet dinner and multiple drinks IN ADDITION to my $15.99 sirloin meal and his single pork chop meals. And you charge extra for butter for a sweet potato - talk about nickel and diming dining. Ugh! The FOOD was good and that is the only reason this review gets 2 stars instead of one. My medium rare sirloin steak was perfect - better than you should expect from a chain steakhouse - and my dinner companion liked his chop. Sides and side salads were generous and fresh. Still, I likely won't be back without noise cancelling earbuds and more patience though. I remain incensed with ziosks in general but even more so when I feel intentionally SCAMMED. (In this case, I think the manager should have apologized instead of continuing to chat up the hostess at the hostess stand, but hey! That's me. I'm just the customer after all... Be forewarned - they will probably be rude and overcharge you because I think it's SOP. Check your bill before you do part of their service job and pay by ziosk.
