Absolutely terrible support from the pharmacy assistant. I called three times and left messages requesting a call back. No response and no apology for non responsiveness. I explained that my doctor has been trying (also 3 times) to speak with them and needed some additional information about my usage. My doctor says they are about to give up on this. I called and when I got through, the pharmacy assistant said that I am wrong and this is not possible and that i need to have my doctor call again. At no time did they offer to call my doctor. I have been running around in circles with this pharmacy for a week now and have not received my medication. I am pulling all of my prescriptions out of this pharmacy. The pharmacy assistant said GOOD. You go do that!!! Wow.. Very unprofessional and not customer driven at all. The pharmacy is terrible. I am most likely going to move my prescriptions to Walmart. Here is an example of the stellar customer service. I am always prescribed pain meds every 30 days. Oxyconton- It is never in stock and when I questioned why I was told it is backorder how ever it almost always is available the next day. If it is truly backorder rather than out of stock why is available the next day? This is only one of a myriad of issues I have with this pharmacy. Pharmacists were very nice. Bathroom for customers was very dirty. Really gross. I try to avoid going but could not hold it til I got home. Really wished bathrooms would be kept disinfected and cleaned. Too much trash outside. No trash cans in sight so I couldn't even pick it up myself and throw it out. read more

If you want people with compassion who care about your well-being, don't go here. A lot the techs are nice. And for the past year and a half I've been going there for medication I have honestly not had issues. But a lot of these staff are overworked, miserable, and do not look kindly or with compassion on people with mental illness- or even basic understanding of the conditions in which they are dishing out medication for. If you hate your job, go find something you're passionate about and do it. Don't put vulnerable people's lives at risk for a paycheck. Also would like to give a special shoutout to their pharmacy manager, Michael Degrosse who told me having side effects from medication withdrawals are inexcusable and to not use terms like "gaslighting", and wouldn't let me get a word in or try to descalate the situation. Again, get your medication somewhere else, seriously, this pharmacy and the way the higher ups act there and respond to crisis could put your life at serious risk if you are unstable. I don't think they understand the weight that their job holds and that it truly could be life or death. This place will leave you hopeless, defeated, and questioning life. read more

This pharmacy is ridiculous. I had a prescription put in, it said it was ready and I had until 9/15 to pick it up. I get there today (9/8) to pick it up along with another medication that I needed. They said they didn't have the medication, I said it said on the app it was supposed to be there until 9/15. The lady goes okay, and puts it in. I wait for about 10 minutes and hear the pharmacist go "WE DON'T HAVE THAT!" and then the poor lady who I am assuming is the pharmacy tech says across the store "Sorry sir, we don't have that". I literally had it put in on Thursday and got a note saying it was ready. I go to get my 2nd prescription, and the pharmacy tech is just standing there. He goes "Put your name into the tablet to start your prescription pick up". I go "Can't you just take my name and birthday and go get it?" He says "Nope, gotta put it in the tablet" Then the tablet isn't working, then it is, then it is sending me through questions. Then once I am done, he isn't around. Finally, he helps me by getting my stuff. Absolutely useless, all of them from the pharmacist down to the pharmacy staff. Unfortunately, with all the Walgreens going out of business, these clowns are going to be the only option. read more

Usually people that work there are nice. Minute clinic is so disorganized. I signed up for an appointment. Arrived for said appointment, only to be told they were closed and BECAUSE I signed up online ahead of time, they couldn't give me the vaccines I needed. So I came back the next day. Part of my visit was a TB test. Which takes 48 hours to process. That's fine. However they weren't open that day. They casually said "oh you can do it in North Andover instead." Mind you, I NEEDED the results for this for my work. So I drove an hour from my work to North Andover, and now have been waiting for my appointment for half an hour. What an absolute disaster. read more

Two great things about this place. 1) it has a driveway that is on Macy St and one on the other side of the parking lot that goes to Main St. 2) If you use the pharmacy, it has a drive thru. As for the rest of the place, I refuse to go in there. I used to go in and get all sorts of things that you'd get from a place like this. They carry all the typical stuff you expect from a CVS. It was usually clean, well stocked and convenient. They have quite a business and the parking lot is a busy area with folks who don't drive like customers will be walking around to and from. I no longer use this CVS because of the customers and how their employees (didn't) handle my last experience there. I was screamed at and verbally threatened repeatedly by an unhinged woman who was upset and was yelling at the pharmacy staff. I stepped behind her to get past her and she freaked out. I was going from point A to B. She began yelling at me and continued to yell at me even though I was now aisles away from her. She was cussing and threatening despite there being kids around. I was so upset that I was visibly shaking and didn't get all of my stuff because I was just trying to get out of the store and safely in my car. I went so far as to tell the cashier that if I had to come back in because she was in the parking lot waiting, I'd be seeking shelter inside and they'd need to call the police. I've never experienced anything like this in my life. She was well dressed and was very rude to the pharmacy staff. If she had been yelling threats at them, I think they'd have handled it differently. But instead they just ignored her threats and allowed her to walk around yelling at me from various places in the store. If I was not the one being yelled at I would have still been shocked, appalled and upset enough to prematurely leave. If you're okay with this type of behavior from customers, by all means go shop at this place. It's your standard store with unhelpful staff and unhinged customers. read more

I cannot live without my life/saving medication. I showed up this week only to find out my medication was out back on the shelf. I was given a 2 hour time frame to come back. There was a 20 minute line after I came back in 2 hours, and when I finally got to the front they told me it would be another hour. I got in line the next day at 1:22, as the drive through closes at 1:30 for lunch. By the time I got to the window, it was 1:29 and the cvs employee was rolling down a metal screen without acknowledging that I had been waiting for this moment to get my life -saving medication for 2 days now. My 3rd time showing up, in the midst of working full time and taking care of young children. I've worked in customer service for 20 years. I have managed employees, owned businesses and worked with people my entire adult life. There is absolutely no excuse for this. read more

Don't go to this pharmacy, they are dangerous! They give wrong doses of medication, they have also given me less pills than was prescribed to me. Every time I pick up a prescription for my 90 year old grandmother I have to sit and count all her meds and check to make sure pills are correct because they always screw it up. I'm surprised someone hasn't been hurt or killed. Shameful. read more

I think I'm going to scratch this CVS location off my list. They have started a new practice of having the cashier YELL at every single person who comes in the store "HELLO! LET ME KNOW IF I CAN HELP YOU!!!" I feel bad for the poor cashiers who must have a sore throat by the end of the day, but I also feel bad for the customers. It's really startling to be screamed at when you walk through the door into a store. And it's really annoying to be at the check out and have to listen to the person right in front of you screaming at someone 20 ft away. If CVS wants to have greeters welcome people to the store, they should hire a greeter to stand at the door and greet people in a normal tone of voice. They should not insist that employees scream at customers. read more

I recently visited the Minute Clinic at CVS in Amesbury. I sat and watched a technician unpack a UPS shipment for 35 minutes. The sign said she was on her lunch break. At 2:00 pm she went back in the clinic and started calling patients. I was called at 2:25. She told me there was only room for one person in her office. My husband started to leave, but as he did she told me she didn't do shingles shots. She said I'd have to go to the pharmacy. We both left having had a bad experience. I hope that anyone reading this, finds a friendlier, more professional health care facility . This place is not a good choice. read more

The pharmacy at this CVS in Amesbury is terrible. In the 2 months that we switched out prescriptions we have had numerous mistakes. The pharmacy did not see an increase in the dose and short us a weeks worth of pills, forgot to call and change a prescription from another CVS to there's and would not fill the prescription and it was for a diabetic, kind of important, prescriptions are never ready when they say. Highly recommend using a different pharmacy in Amesbury. read more

Very poor customer service. Person Great s you at the pharmacy should not have a gold thing hanging out of their nose. This is a place of business you're not hanging out with your friends two places you should not see this is in a restaurant and a healthcare facility. My order was supposed to be ready at 11 AM it was 1:15 PM order still not done was told pharmacist is looking over order would be ready in 10 minutes. Next to a told me I would be the next prescription ready this one on for 20 minutes again I was told that the next 40 minutes later again. just another minute at 45 minutes I drop what I was doing and left order is still not done will try again to pick it up tomorrow. This is a very busy location which is understandable. However, the people who work there are incompetent. I was there for an hour for something that should have taken no more than 10 minutes. This has to be the worst CVS around!! After being a loyal customer for many years to the CVS brand, I have taken my prescriptions and now I'm with Rite Aid. Pharmacy. CVS has the worst technicians, extremely rude to the customers, lack personality and just all-around miserable. They have lost my prescriptions so many times I finally had enough and said I am not doing this anymore. Extremely rude cashiers, they don't want to do their jobs, and they are lazy!!!. I know I am not alone I have witnessed bad behavior with other customers when I have stood in line waiting from my own prescriptions to be filled and have witnessed bad attitude mean-spirited rude pharmacy techs. I have had this discussion with other people while I stood there waiting. It's one thing to be busy, and I can understand when sometimes people are overwhelmed, but this is every time I go in there. Many other customers I have talked to have experienced the same identical kind of bad service. I thought it was just me and the beginning, but soon found out I was not alone .There is no need for this kind of behavior, I won't put up with it!! especially if I'm paying them!! they have lost a loyal customer for good I will never go back there again!! not even for a toothpick!! Customer service directly across the street at the Rite Aid Pharmacy is a thousand times better they are not overwhelmed and they generally have wonderful dispositions and have thought about the people they are hiring a little bit more then CVS has. Sometimes I think that CVS will just hire anybody to fill the spot and not think about the people they are putting behind the register. I've always filled scripts at CVS. Never had an issue until today. This morning, 1/5/15 at 8:50am, the pharmacist (Rita O.? I believe was her name) and the tech (Krisyn or some K name, younger girl with dyed bright red hair) were beyond rude to me. There was a slight misunderstanding bc my doctor wrote script wrong. They acted like I was trying to get extra medication or something and were so so so rude about it. I've never written a review before but today I called their supervisor, CVS headquarters, and now I'm writing on here because it was that bad. Overall nasty attitude, eye rolling, rude comments, etc. disgusting! I remained very very polite but just felt like I wanted to cry. I have used the CVS in Amesbury for 10+ years and NEVER had a problem! I find the pharmacists to be very knowledgeable and helpful. There have been a couple of occasions when the prescription was missing critical information and they either called the doctor's office for clarification, or in once instance recently (the prescription was missing important dosage info)when it was after office hours and the the dentist office was closed, offered me suggestions for something I could do for pain until the morning when the office was open etc. As for the rest of the staff in the pharmacy and the store in general, they have been pleasant, polite, and very helpful whether it was helping me find something or helping me with the photo machine etc. I would recommend this store to anyone! I appreciate them and the way I am treated when I use the store for whatever I need. read more
