Review is for the pharmacy pickup & drop. I have been getting my prescriptions here for roughly 6-8 years. The service used to be good, however, over the last few years it has been declining. Lines are short, however, cashiers are slower moving that average causing an average wait time of around 5-8 minutes per customer ahead of you. Even waiting as many as 30 minutes with only 3 people ahead of you. Staff seem unhappy to be working here; hardly ever smiling or friendly. Wait time for prescription to be filled can take up to 5 hours for medication for antibiotics for painful ailments. read more

Pretty nice CVS. Friendly people but the only problem are for pictures to print out photo. Indeed, if you want to make ID pictures you should avoid this place. They don't even know how to do. Well, no one as a manager is available to come help, so how can it get better ? Also to print, some computers don't work. read more

I Love this CVS from the cashiers too the pharmacist! All the pharmacy employees have been very kind and compassionate. I went in one time to get a loan of my medication bc I didn't have another refill and couldn't see my doctor right away so I thought I was going to be out of my meds for a week but they gave me enough just to get by until I saw my doctor. And when you take an antidepressant you definitely should not miss any days bc after a couple days it starts too effect you negatively. So thank you CVS I appreciate you! read more

Worse experience ever!!!! Last Thursday I ran into this store to grab some band aids. There were 2 people in front of me one paying the other in line. The cashier, young guy, kept trying to have a conversation with the guy and you could tell the guy was just trying to get what he needed and leave. Finally the guy left and again cashier kept wanting to have a conversation with the guy. Even asking personal questions about where do you live? Why don't you have a CVS card? The guy just wanted to pay and leave which after a good 5 minutes he managed to do. Now it was my turn. Didn't greet, didn't ask me any question. Maybe because I'm Hispanic and didn't look like I belonged in the area? I don't know but wait it gets better. He rings me up and swipe my card and he declined my transaction. He apologized and asked me to swipe again this time instead of hitting the corrected key he put that I gave him $10 cash. So I said to him " I didn't pay you cash"!!!! His reply "oh". So then I take out a $20 bill, which mind you I had just pulled out of the ATM Less than 15 minutes ago and this IDIOT!!! Yes idiot!!!! Had the audacity to ask me if it was real? Really?!!!!! What nerve?!!! I was so upset I went off on him. I had him call his store manager and when she was walking up he was like motioning to her with his head like " she's a problem". OMG needless to say how upset I was. I raised my voice telling her what an idiot the guy was. Well there was a man, by the way he was white, I really hate being racial but I honestly think I was discriminated on, and he had the nerve to tell the manager that I wasn't patient. The folks working in the drugstore portion are way chilt out. Just super low-key kicked back. And helpful AF. Just what I look for in a CVS. The pharmacy side leaves much to be desired, however. Wicked slow. I realize prescriptions take time to fill, but this pharmacy seems like they're filming a reality show where they see how long an average customer will wait patiently before losing their mind. Buyer Beware !! I tried purchasing Claritin D on 5/9/2020 from the Anaheim Hills Store #9774 on Weir Canyon. I gave the pharmacist my drivers license. She scanned my drivers license, but the CVS computer said there their system was down.She tried again several times but could not get authorization from the CVS computer. I asked for her manger . I also asked for the CVS store manager.The pharmacist and the store manager refused to sell me the Claritin D.The store manger was not helpful and acted like he did not care at all. A very poor attitude for the store manager. I went to Rite Aid to to try to purchase the Claritin D. I gave Rite Aid my drivers license and they scanned it. The Rite Aid computer said that I just purchased Claritin D from another pharmacy ( CVS). I was now effectively blocked from purchasing Claritin D because of CVS's computer problems. So my son tried to purchase Claritin D for me from a 2nd Anaheim Hills CVS store(#9760). He gave the pharmacist his drivers license, but the CVS computer said "system down" !!.I spoke to CVS Pharmacist Kathy Nyguen and she called CVS headquarters to ask for help. She never called me back with a solution.Today 5/11/2020 I am speaking to Mila at the Anaheim Hills pharmacy for a solution. I tried for 1 hour today to send CVS an email, but the CVS email system does not work either.I then tried calling the CVS customer service phone line 800-746-7287 and it did not work either. I have now spent over 2 hours trying to purchase Claritin - D for my allergies and I still can not buy it. The worst problem is CVS has now blocked me from buying Claritin - D for the next 2 weeks because of their screwed up computer.The CVS pharmacy department and thier customer service and their store manager sucks !! read more

I have been doing business with CVS Pharmacy in Anaheim Hills for over 10 years and have never had an issue or problem with this business. The pharmacy is great and I've never had to wait more than a few minutes to get prescriptions. At the busiest time, I think the longest line was 5 people. I've read the reviews and most of them are negative ones from the pharmacy section. I've never gotten my prescription in this location but the staff working in the store is great. Every time I go, the guys working the register are friendly, quick and never have a frown. The ladies that work there in particular Kathy and Maria are the sweetest. I go more than I should since it's near me, and I always end up purchasing more than I should, but hey it's CVS, a smaller less crowded version of my lovely friend Target. read more

The pharmacy is shockingly bad. Whether it is the software or the staff, take my recommendation and get your prescriptions somewhere else. On multiple occasions they won't stop giving the old dosage of a drug, claim that no prescription exists for the new dosage (despite the new dosage being filled previously), and claim that prescriptions have been filled and picked up despite that not being the case. I don't know what the best place to fill a prescription is but do not use CVS if you can avoid it. read more

I normally wouldn't rate a pharmacy so high, but I had a great experience here the other day. I had spent half of the night in the ER with my husband. He has a kidney stone which was causing him GREAT pain! I brought the prescription into the CVS off Weir Canyon and explained how urgent it was that I get the pain medication for my husband quickly. The pharmacist put my prescription ahead of the ones that were in front of me as they were not as urgent. I appreciated her understanding of the situation and her professional demeanor. She was kind and friendly. A HUGE improvement over the CVS I used to go to off if Bristol. You always had to wait hours there, regardless of urgency. I will be getting all of my prescriptions at this location from now on! read more

I got here 7 minutes before they close as the lady told me after waiting about 4 minutes before she would look at me to drop off my prescription. Then she said I will be with you in a minute, then said do you need this tonight we close in 5 minutes. Then I Said Yes AND She Said OK We Will "TRY" to get it ready tonight. Then I said try? So after a hard days work I went in to pick up my prescription and I was told that they faxed the prescription over twice to the doctor and haven't received an authorization. Well enough...but my question was how come the patient (me) wasn't notified. I was told that they have an automated system but due to lack of resources, they were not able to call me and tell me to call my doctor. New to the area, and looking for a pharmacy to continue getting my scripts from. Another pharmacy - I won't mention since it will seem like I am BASHING CVS later - charged me $22.00 for one, and $55.00 for the other (CASH Prices). I wanted a nationwide pharmacy and called this location to check on pricing. I spoke to MARK, the Pharmacist at 9 am on April 25th 2014. I thanked him for taking the call and proceeded to give him my scripts for a price check. Well, the price for the $22.00 one was over $240.00, and the price for the $55.00 one was over $100.00. So, it looks like my scripts will stay at the other location for now, but it's what Mark said when I asked said: "Wow, that sure is expensive, did you know that XX Pharmacy carries it for $22 and $55? His response, "I didn't know that, and frankly I don't care." OK, his opinion, no problem.....except this: Do you want to buy your medication from a pharmacy, with this kind of pharmacist - responsible for you getting the right meds? My meds are keeping me alive, and the wrong one, incorrect dosage, could kill me; if a pharmacist doesn't "care". Do you want someone that could care less about you, and what you get from your doctor - who, by the way - also makes mistakes, which is why you need to work together in a team to keep you healthy. I called CVS and told them what he said, and three hours later they had a regional person call me back and tell me what a valued employee for over 8 years that he was, and people bring him cookies and thank him, etc. With his attitude, if I were Mark, I would check the cookies - someone, some day, won't be happy with his "I don't care" attitude, and spike them. I will NEVER go to that CVS, and I told them that. THE most important thing CVS provides is through their pharmacist, and when one of them tells me that he "doesn't care" about another pharmacy's price, I have to wonder what else he doesn't care about. This is not, and never has been, a support for another pharmacy - which is why I did NOT list their name. It's about a pharmacist who has a BAD attitude, and I don't think a lot of people want to take a chance with their life and your attitude, I know I don't. I've shopped here quite a lot over the years since I live so close. The employees have ranged from really friendly to cold, but efficient. My first bad experience happened recently when I went in to try and get a money order (I had just missed closing time at the post office). I approached a cashier who was standing under a sign that clearly stated they sold money orders. I asked to buy one and she told me that they do not sell money orders. When I pointed out the sign to her she told me that everything on the sign, which also listed other services such as money grams, was handled over the phone only. She then pointed me to a red phone that I guess was used just for that purpose. She didn't offer to show me what to do or anything besides looking at me like I was a moron thinking they sold money orders. Usually I'd forgive one bad experience, but it ticked me off that they would have a sign about one of their services and have an employee deny they have that service while comically standing under the sign. Add to that, the fact that apparently the only way to take advantage of this service is to use a red phone that you may or may not know how to use. read more

Always a problem filling my prescription. I've been going there for about 2 years for the same prescription. They have given me the wrong number of pills than prescribed. Last time I refilled over the phone, very convenient. They delayed for a week and a half till I was out of my medication. When I went to pick it up they told me it was filled at another CVS. The CVS Pharmacy at the Weir Canyon Rd Anaheim Hills location is truly a wonderful, kind/caring, and compassionate pharmacy in comparison to ALL the other CVS pharmacies that I've been to. I've been to so many CVS pharmacy locations all over Orange County, and this is the ONLY one that has gone out of their way and has ACTUALLY been helpful. I brought the pharmacist a prescription that I got from Minute Clinic, and the prescription didn't work for some reason and the pharmacist went out of her way and called them that night, again the next morning, and then again later on that afternoon to correct what was going on so she could give me my prescription. I've NEVER had a pharmacist do that for me, and I was surprised that the pharmacist went out of her way to make 3 phone calls all in one day so she could get my prescription to me immediately. This is the best customer service I've ever received, and I will definitely be coming back to this pharmacy again and again. Even if I end up moving to the other side of Orange County then I will travel to Anaheim Hills just so I can talk to the pharmacists here. That's how great the service was here in comparison to the other CVS pharmacy locations. read more
