Hubby and I used this location for our COVID vaccines. Our first appointment was a breeze - literally in and out within 15mins. However, our second appointment was a bit chaotic. We arrived a few mins before our appointment and noticed a long line spiraling throughout the store. At that point we decided to stand in line - so glad we did. One hour later we finally reached the front only to be asked if we had checked-in prior to arrival. Many folks in line did not receive the automated text, which was odd since I got an alert for the first appointment. Anyhow, after providing our names and DOB, we were set. The gentleman administrating the shots was overwhelmed. He was literally prepping, filling syringes and jotting down vaccine info on the CDC cards for each person. Not once did I see anyone from pharmacy offer him assistance to help speed things up and clear out the long line. I do agree with prior reviews - steer clear if you can. Otherwise, expect a mediocre experience. read more

1. I was not alerted when my time sensitive prescription was filled 2. It was clear in their voicemail follow up call they did not listen to my initial voicemail which lead to confusion (on their end) 3. I called to follow up on a prescription refill. The lady who answered rushed through the call, interrupted me and then hung up on mid question 4. Still needing an answer to my question, I called again to which she continued her rude rushed behavior. I did a wellness check & asked if she was ok and then she proceeded to rant about how busy it is and the calling every five minutes isn't helping. She did not introduce herself both times so I do not know this woman's name but lady chill. All jobs are stressful and, if you are incapable of handling that stress, I strongly suggest you change careers. Customers wouldn't need to call as often if you were prepared with correct information and utilized the SMS function. read more

I thought that this CVS pharmacy was getting better. There was a gentleman pharmacist that was very knowledgeable and personable. I have not seen him for a while and tonight's experience left me speechless. I was in the pharmacy refilling a prescription which I was told would take three days to refill - not due to availability, but due to them being backed up? I was OK with this since it wasn't an emergency, I still had some left. However, a man came in carrying a young child that appeared to be sick. It was just past 6 and the pharmacy was closing at 7. The pharmacist refused to fill the prescription despite the fact a winter storm watch was in effect for the following day and likely he would not be able to pick it up. A pharmacy tech suggested he go to Lakeway which stays open later but the pharmacist yelled at her saying not to send anyone else to Lakeway. When a winter storm warning is issued for the weekend, and a person needs a prescription, this pharmacy should be making every effort to fill it. They should be filling up until the time they close and redirecting others to pharmacies that are open later. These are extenuating circumstances. People can't be driving all over town looking for a 24 hour pharmacy so they can get the medication they need. Furthermore, this pharmacist (young red-head with long hair) was not helpful in the least when I asked her if she could suggest an OTC med that might help my husband's severe congestion. She said he will just need to wait it out. Then pointed to an aisle where there were some ear products and said he could try something in that aisle. No mentions of products, no attempt to come out from behind the counter and show me, and very obvious she was not interested in the least with helping. Why can't this place keep a decent pharmacist for very long. A very cold seeming bunch. And by the way - when it says they close at 1:30 for lunch - they really close at 1:25 for lunch. I don't know how they go about hiring the people to work in the pharmacy, but they couldn't choose a more customer service challenged bunch. Tonight I stopped in the drive up to get my prescription for some meds my doctor had called in. I arrived at 6:45, and someone came to the window at 6:50. The other med I needed in addition to those that had been called in, was a sudafed medication. I asked the pharmacy tech at the window for that as well, since it is a medication that is kept behind the pharmacy. She refused and said I had to come into the store - my license and signature was not good enough. I do wonder what they do for mobility challenged people or people that are so ill they shouldn't be inside? I looked at the clock at this point and noticed there was 5 minutes left before closing - asked her if I parked and came in to get the sudafed would they still be open for me, or would they close early. She shrugged and said "we may be closed" and slammed the window. So they refuse to give me my other medication and say I have to come in, but then they won't guarantee that if I make the effort to park and come in (while sick) that they will keep the pharmacy open for me. I parked and raced in to get my med - just as they were closing the metal grates - had I been one minute later they would have closed on me - despite knowing I had just left the drive-up and was headed in. What a bunch of prima donnas. They are in the medical field. They should have some level of responsibility and compassion. read more

Humera, who was working the pharmacy drive thru was flat out disrespectful, rolling her eyes and being short. She told me "drive around again there's a car behind you" after my prescription had been "filled" As I pulled up to the window the second time, she says "come inside the window is closed" and slammed it shut before she even finished. I wait in line for a 3rd time inside and she refused to ring up my laundry detergent with my medicine and said I needed to go to the front for that. After arguing with me for several minutes she rung up my items and threw the bag at me. Needless to say she is a delight! read more

Unfortunately when trying to get my last prescription refilled for antibiotics, the store is not able to run the prescription through my insurance and it was very costly. I was disappointed. I spent a great deal of time trying to get the prescription authorized coming to no avail. The prescription was actually much cheaper down the street at walgreens. Hopefully coming next time, I won't have this issue and I will be able to revise my review. read more

The pharmacy is run quite inefficiently, to put it nicely. We asked the doctor who sent over the rx for my 9 year old, if it was sent as a liquid because getting her to take a pill is an unwanted experience. He said he sent over as a chewable or a liquid. My husband tried calling CVS to make sure they had received it (since enough reasonable time passed since the doc put in the order and we hadn't received a text update) and to make sure the rx was indeed a chewable/liquid. No answer and we gave up after 20 min on hold deciding just to go in. Waiting in line wasn't too long, however, I would have gladly waited longer to make sure everything was sorted correctly. Just like in times past, the phone was ringing nonstop with no one answering (me thinking of the people on the phone anxiously waiting just like we were). When I got to the register, I had 2 additional items I wanted to purchase (Tylenol and Motrin) and I was met not with a hello but with a "you're gonna have to pay for those upfront". Geez ok, that's fine as I see she's probably just trying to help get to the other customers as fast as possible. Gave my phone number to look up since the doc had called me and assumed they had put it under that. I had another rx under my name and had to reiterate to Humera several times I did not want that medication, rather just the medication for my daughter. She was clearly frustrated and asked for information (DOB) and name probably 10 times. She kept cutting me off when I was trying to explain it could also be under my husband's name. This is all while the phone kept ringing and there were 3 calls on hold. The audible notification system they have says how many people are in the phone queue. Another rep finally answered the phone and Humera became upset and asked the pharmacist 3 times why they were answering the phone. So after finally finding my daughter's rx, she said it was under my husband's name. I was like, ya know, we tried calling too but you weren't answering the phone so we could have avoided this back and forth issue. She begrudgingly gave me the rx and didn't ask if I had any questions for the pharmacist. Honestly I was so pissed off at this lady I just wanted to leave Oh and the best part! It's not a chewable or a liquid so now I have to cut up these giant pills an adult would have a hard time swallowing for my 9 year old and I am hoping for the best that we can actually finish the round of antibiotics. Humera, you clearly don't like working there, maybe you should look elsewhere for a career. Oh and answering the phone might save you time in the long run read more

This location's pharmacy is in desperate need of leadership and additional staffing ... even getting thru on the phone is a crapshoot let alone getting a prescription filled in any sort of a timely manner. I'll give them a bit of benefit of the doubt insofar as the location is the single most convenient pharmacy to the Hiway 71 corridor west of the Hill Country Galleria and the growth of rooftops along that corridor is BOOMING! However, this poor level of service by an overwhelmed staff has persisted for over a year ... management is not serving their customers well. read more

I cannot get ahold of ANYONE as they keep hanging up after the 15 minutes or so I've sat on hold on the telephone waiting to get my prescription transferred out of this location since it is on hold. Because of your horrendous service and lack of Care, patients are in pain longer than need be because you can't ANSWER THE PHONE to transfer a prescription-a simple request that, in 2020, should be completely digital anyways. It's one thing to ignore the public: we get it, healthcare is a business -lives and care don't really matter to your corporation. But you can't even assist your FELLOW EMPLOYEES? This is single-handedly the worst pharmacy I've ever been to. The pharmacists are condescending and clearly egotistical. The pharm techs are rude. They told me they couldn't fill an rx of mine that wasn't covered by insurance because it would have cost $300, yet filled another one of mine not covered by insurance that was $1700. How does that make any sense?? Do yourself a favor and go far, far away from here unless you like being talked down to, inconsistency, and waiting 40+ minutes in line for your Rx every single time. read more

Went into this CVS again and noticed that a soda bottle that was underneath a chair in the pharmacy waiting area was still there. I had noticed it there on my previous visit a few days ago. There was also a lot of trash in the floor all around the store. Corporate office needs to do something here, this store is going downhill fast. I do have to add that there are several employees there who are friendly and try to be helpful...but they don't work here for long if things don't improve. Just like many of the other reviews for this location, things have really gone down hill. The pharmacy closes earlier than other CVS locations in the area and it is kind of an unknown as to what the hours are for the day. Sometimes the drive up window randomly closes - not good if you are dealing with Covid patients picking up prescriptions and getting tested - now they come into the pharmacy? But what particularly annoyed me was this is my typical pharmacy and I went for my flu shot and vaccine. I mistakenly made it for the CVS on Bee Cave near the Mopac which is a good distance away. I asked if I could just reschedule for this location once I got there and found out the mistake. I was brushed off and told it would double bill the insurance if I rescheduled? That makes no sense because without the shot being administered the insurance shouldn't be billed. I have had prescriptions transferred before - same difference. I also asked the other day if they could contact the doc for a refill, something they usually do automatically. They acted like this was an issue. I just feel like this pharmacy doesn't want to be bothered. They are apparently way understaffed, but one wonders why this location is so much worse than others? Every time we go in there is a new person working in pharmacy and as some have pointed out, less than congenial. Too bad since we like the location and used to get good service here. This is a great location for a pharmacy - CVS needs to get this one up to its regular standards. read more

Then I went in at the time that it specified my items would be ready the guy looked at me like I was crazy for coming in when mice prescription should've been ready. I've brought elderly patients here three times to pick up prescriptions at the drive thru window. The first time that it took 43 min I thought it was the patient's fault that they didn't have her phoned in prescription in a bag waiting for pickup. But it certainly wasn't her fault that it took the one person working the pharmacy so long to process her insurance and credit card that we had five vehicles lined up behind us. The second patient didn't go much better although I had him confirm that the prescription was ready. It wasn't. And we were 4th in the drive thru line..about 30 minutes wait. Today I brought a third patient and also made myself a flu shot appt for 30 min after our arrival. I sat in the drivethru the full 30 min, was third in line when we arrived, then went around and parked and went into the store. No-one was at the flu appt window (despite my having an appt) and I waited there 10 min. This I started calling to see if there was anyone working the pharmacy as I couldn't see anyone. No response. Walked part way over to the dispensing window still calling and was told that the person would help me after she finished helping someone else at that window. Not sure what the purpose of an appt time is if no-one is available to staff. I am having everyone I help during Covid change their prescriptions to other pharmacies. read more

I sat here and waited 3 times and they said "sorry, we need another 30 minutes" after 30 minutes was up "we need 30 more minutes". Don't waste your time here. I've tried to remain loyal to this pharmacy for several years, but I have to give up. Seems like there is always some kind of issue. Today, they informed me that the system was down and had been since that morning. I believe it, but then I shouldn't have received a text at 12:05 pm saying my prescriptions were ready. Somebody had to hit the "ready" button on that order, knowing I wouldn't actually be able to pick it up. Or maybe they were gambling that the system would be back up by the time I got there. It wasn't. So I had to transfer it to another pharmacy and wait around for an hour. If this had been a one-off, fine, but there's a reason this pharmacy has so many bad reviews. There is one woman there in particular who just doesn't seem to care at all. She almost seems to enjoy serving up the bad news. Weird. Time to move on. Today I went to the store to pick up some facial cleanser. The Neutrogena cleanser I have been buying for YEARS is priced at $8.79 at this CVS! $8.79....I can buy the EXACT same size, brand, etc from HEB two miles down the road for $4.97. That is $3.82 less than at CVS. I just don't understand this pricing? In a competitive marketplace how is this even right? Shame on you CVS! It's no wonder how CVS manages to pay their CEOs more than 1,000 times their median employees. Disgraceful. They do not answer the phone, and the cashier I had today (an older woman) was downright rude. I don't know why anyone would come here when Target is right around the corner. While attempting to get an appointment to have a COVID booster shot the pharmacist started yelling at me that I should go see my doctor. He had asked me a question which I did not understand. Gripe: CVS in Bee Cave. Needs new Pharmacy staff and apparently a manger, because it's a mess! Called in daughters prescription almost two weeks ago, got a text saying it was ready, went to go get it, four people a ahead of me in line waiting, all angry. Waited patiently 15-20 minutes, finally my turn. I'm then told it will be another 20 min. I said, "are you sure, they texted saying it's ready"? She says "um yeh, we are still trying to fill prescriptions from before Halloween!" Is this normal??? Some people actually take daily prescriptions. Daughter needs it so I wait, shop, wait, go back to pharmacy. Hear the employees laughing and talking about angry elderly lady. She sees me and says, "I tried to text you,"I said, "who me??? She said, "we don't even have her medication here so you will need to get it somewhere else" Attempted to speak to a manager who said they "were working on making changes, but didn't actual help me, the customer feel better or apologize at all....sometimes life just feels like the Twilight Zone. Lucky they caught me on a day when I was too tired to cause a big scene. I'm still angry, so now I'm wasting more time typing. Take your prescriptions elsewhere. I will not return to this location. read more
