However since their staff is busy doing what they do best - making drugs, they don't really provide all of the other bells and whistles of customer service that you find with the big corporate pharmacies like Walgreens or CVS. My doctor directed me to have my prescription filled here. She didn't send it in electronically, but instead wrote the ingredients on a prescription paper. She suggested I call them first to make sure they had the ingredients before going. I did, but there was some confusion on whether they had the ingredients because of the way I was pronouncing the ingredients and/or my phone was cutting out. Thankfully they had an email address, so I sent them a picture and they replied right away that they could make the medication immediately. I drove to the facility. The woman at the front seemed to be working multiple tasks and wasn't privy to the conversation I had previously on the phone, so we had to go through everything again. Once everything checked out, I had a small wait in the lobby before they came out with a paper white bag with my medicine inside. There were no instructions or "scare sheets" included, so I just had to go by what my doctor discussed in my appointment. In the end, I got a 60 day supply for $150 which seemed quite expensive. I took one, and an hour later, I was so sick. My blood pressure skyrocketed and I ended up with one of the worst headaches I had ever had. I thought I was going to have to go to the ER, but I managed to wait it out. By the next morning, my blood pressure had dropped to a normal range and the excruciating pain in my head subsided. I had an unfortunate experience here and with this overly potent medication. Had I used one of the corporate pharmacies, I would have had a consult with a pharmacist, had a detailed sheet explaining the medication and expected side effects as well as best practices for taking it. In the future, I will ask for this to ensure a layer of protection.

Winco was new to me and while not related to WinDixie it has a range of basic and affordable house brands as well as name brands. with a good produce section. I'm not sure about the meet dept but it looked clean, well organized and stocked. I was there for bread and eggs and left with two heavy and tightly packed bags of food for under $50. I won't be hitting the HEB at dawn/ 7AM anymore to beat the crowds, I'll do Winco once a month when I wake up early at 4AM and can get there from Plano with zero traffic and red lights. They have better prices on a lot of things than Walmart and certainly than Kroger. If your grocery bill is exploding the last year or two try shopping here at least once a month. Best part was the checker said they are an employee owned company which is a huge plus to me over over these chains that are gouging people over profits on food and staples while not giving any benefits because they mostly staff with part timers. Also, you may very well be absolutely floored with all the things you can get from Costco- this also includes services and even trips! The staff here is friendly and helpful as well. Even the gentleman who signed me up for my membership was nearly giddy talking about how much he loves working for them and has been with the company since the 1980's. One of the things I am most impressed about with Costco is the sheer amount of products and services they offer. Just a few of WOW moments are : Did you know they offer vaccinations through their pharmacy? They have a program where you can get an assessment of what vaccinations are recommended for travel abroad. Before we went to Africa we had it all done through the Costco pharmacy and we were able to get our shots and malaria pills. Another WOW moment is the sheer joy is discovery in the product assortment. Have you been on Southwest Airlines and had those yummy Stellar Snacks Maui Monk Pretzel Braids? Well, they sell those here in bulk and it's a great value! I've also bought plants here among other things- you'll never know what you will find! Now, navigating the massive store can get a little anxiety inducing, so to keep the stress to a minimum, I go at 10am on weekdays only. Only once did I got to Costco on the weekend. It was with my Father-in-law in California and I would say it was overwhelming with so many people around, but taking the time of day into consideration works for me, and to be honest, I'm sure most people are fine with it. Overall Costco is an easy 5 stars for their all-around great value, service and breadth of product. It's quite mindblowing!

When budget didn't have the promised car when I arrived at the rental location, its "help" was to say "we don't own the rental car company" ...yes, but Costco does PROMISE to deliver the booked reservation at the promised time and rate as a membership benefit. By the way the dedicated Budget line at cosco travel also equally denies any responsibility. Customers that don't get promised reservations are left stranded, losing valuable time and money. Promising and not delivering is not just bad customer relations, it's a deceptive trade practice under Texas and most other state laws. Costco, this isn't a benefit, it's an injury.
