Whoever runs this pharmacy needs a check-in from corporate. The other reviews are correct. This is the worst run pharmacy you will ever experience. Ridiculous wait times in line or god forbid you have to call them. And when they do pick up, good luck in trying to understand what they are saying. Or try the drive-thru where they barely make eye contact and tell you can't hear you while you are staring at them. I hate having to leave a review like this as there's no doubt good people at CVS otherwise, but this is an unacceptable experience. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. The service here is inept and rude. I've given them multiple chances thinking this is just a fluke, but after many screw-ups, I'm going to another pharmacy. This weekend was the last straw. I went to fill my regular prescription and was charged 3 times the normal amount. I pointed this out to them and they said my insurance card was expired, and to call my insurance on Monday to get it settled. They did not give me my prescription but still charged me for it. I had to call my insurance company, and they had to call CVS to get this sorted out. (My insurance was fine, it was just an adjustment in the pharmacy code that the pharmacist was too inept to catch). Then CVS claimed that I had the prescription and needed to have my doctor renew it. I am still working on getting this settled with them. But does anyone have a recommendation for a good pharmacy in the Dana Point/Laguna Niguel area? read more

This is about the cosmetics section of the store, not the pharmacy. Sam, the consultant in that department, is wonderful. She works with you to find the right colors for your skin and is very knowledgeable about various products. She goes out of her way to make sure you are getting the right products. I highly recommend visiting her if you aren't up to visiting mall stores like Sephora and Ulta. Top notch service! read more

I'm not sure who the manager of the cvs is but their superiors should know the level of customer service that I get each and every time I've walked in there. From the pharmacy techs when I was trying to fill my mothers emergency prescription (from out of town) to stopping in and getting school supplies. the pharmacy at this CVS location has to be the worst I've ever experienced. I've filled (or tried to fill) prescriptions on at least 9-10 occasions and almost every time there is either a mistake, an unwarranted delay, or only one person working when there is a huge line inside and at the drive through. They seem to do a lot of business here, they need to hire more people and get their act together. Horrible service. read more

I take about 10 medications. The store Pharmacist, Candice and primary pharmacy tech, Donna, are always friendly and I am always greeted by first name (not sure if that's a good thing or not). It makes me feel kind of like Norm from Cheers. Donna always remembers to put the non-safety caps on for me and makes sure my prescriptions are ready as soon as she sees me in line. The store is usually well stocked and clean. The regular check out line could be a little more efficient and quick. Being near the beach, they usually have a good selection of beach stuff. Overall a pretty good experience every time. read more

As suspected, the corporate CVS office came to the rescue. I received a call yesterday from the store manager, Denise, who said she was given permission from the corporate office to reimburse me for the inactivated gift cards that I purchased. While I was pleased that the corporate office had enough sense to make that smart business decision, I am still disappointed that it took over six weeks to resolve my issue when I attempted to resolve it with the store manager in the first place. Now, I have to drive 55 miles from where I work in Torrance to where the store is located in Dana Point...what a pain! But I'll be glad to have this resolved and behind me. Thanks to CVS corporate for your service recovery. Maybe you should train your local store managers on how to provide better customer service. read more

The worst hours and drive through is always broken!!!!! And it's so slow! Never takes less then 20 min and that's after everything is ready. The people who work here aren't nice and have a miserable energy about them. read more

DO NOT get covid tested at this location. My results still aren't back 10 days later, I've called multiple times to no avail. My results keep getting "escalated" for rapid return on results and nothing happens. read more

The only reason this is a 4 instead of a 3 is because the customer service here is great. Upon walking in I'm usually greeted by whomever is at the front register. Many times I've been walking through the aisles trying to find something and the manager will ask if I need help, a few minutes later another employee might ask as well. Susan in the pharmacy is a staple, she's been there for years and calls me by first name on the rare occasion that I pick up a prescription, because of this I've looked at her nametag and finally memorized her name! The cons are that this CVS is pricey, I assume because it's on PCH and I live in a high demographic, also this area is touristy during the summer months. You're better off going to Ralphs, and sometimes even Gelsons, for a fair price on things like Dog food, contact lense solution, cough medicine, or alcohol. This is the only drugstore I goto and it's because of it's location, but most of all, the friendly customer service. read more

Do not go to this pharmacy. CVS corporate needs to review everything from the pharmacy personnel to their dispensing practices. I was told, "we won't make any promises.. we are very busy so check back with us in a couple days. "Couple days" is not appropriate when waiting for a prescription. read more

Worst CVS I have ever utilized. Unfortunately This particular location is close to my home and I have to use it. The pharmacy department is awful. Constantly waiting constantly standing in line. Prescription bags all over the floors and no one to put them away. The store it self is just as awful. Undermanned. Long lines At check out. Wine and alcohol department never stocked. Refrigerators never stocked. Customers have been told that they had to lay off people And that is the reason why they have gotten even worse than their usual performance.. Management needs to get in here and fix this place. I may just drive the eightMiles over to Rite Aid. read more

If there was a pharmacy within walking distance I would switch, this pharmacy has a mix of good and bad employees, people at the front are good, friendly funny and professional, some of the one that work in the back especially one of the pharmacy aides are rude, treat certain people special , and think they are funny but are not. It's not funny to keep saying "15 large loud "as you can to every customer, no one wants the people behind how much you are paying for medicine!! Great pharmacy drive though and usually good service. Can have some problems but drive though is so convenient.

The CVS itself is nice and the staff are friendly enough but the Pharmacy staff is terrible. Its always miserable dealing with them and I've never had a pharmacy more reluctant to do their job. THE WORST PHARMACY ON THE COAST.. ITHINK IT'S A TRAINING GROUND FOR BAD SERVICE. So this is the third time I have waited in line for 45 minutes for a Prescriptions, supposed to be on auto refill, and they weren't ready.!!!! not ones that I can miss. They said an hour and two hours later it still wasn't ready. The staff with the exception of ONE Pharmacy Technician has been horrible for years. its just convenient to my house. The store is fine and has a good variety of items when you need to pick up something in a hurry. I can't say the same about the pharmacy, though. The service is very slow and the staff is disinterested at best. I would give four stars to the store itself. Love the self checkout and someone always comes over quickly if I have a problem. do not go to cvs for covid testing. you will die before you can access your results. they are supposed to send you a text or an email to give you your results. while you have a fever, chills, headache, fatigue, pain, etc. they send you some stupid app you are supposed to sign up for that does not work. therefore , you cannot get your results. when you call all their numbers you go in circles and go nowhere and do not get your test results. in addition to being ill you get to be horribly frustrated to to their stupid my chart thing which keeps coming up not valid. i cannot get my results after many tries. why they make it so f*****g complicated to say yes or no, i do not know. go elsewhere not cvs. bad service. results should be easy, not a bunch of paperwork you have to go through. i still do not know whether i have covid or not and no one to talk to. minute clinc closed, no one to ask questions from. worthless company. read more

I never write reviews (especially negative ones), but I had such a negative experience, I felt compelled to share. I recently had a prescription called in, and went in the next day to pick it up. The woman at the pharmacy could not have been ruder. Instead of trying to be helpful and saying they do not have it, she was hostile and accusatory that it wasn't called in. So I called back my doctor, confirming it was called into the correct pharmacy, and went back the next day. The same woman served me, and she was just as rude as the first time. I tried to ask if there were other avenues to find the prescription, and she was not remotely helpful. Her tone was almost yelling at me. It was extremely bizarre. I'll definitely never be returning here. read more

So I use this pharmacy because it's close to my house and also bc my old Target pharmacy (who rocked) was bought out by CVS so no point in driving further. I don't often fill prescriptions but the few times I have my experiences were not that great, today being one of them. I had a rx called in at about 9am this morning (it is 6pm now and my rx is not ready). I called CVS on my way home from work to see if it was filled. After waiting 14 minutes and listening to their god awful hold music I was told my rx was "in process" and would take about 20 min. Ok cool, I'm 10 min away and can walk around store or whatever. Well, I had to wait 20 min just to even get to ask if my rx was ready (I had only 2 people in front of me). Then the CVS pharm. tech said it's still "in process" after going to check for another 5-10min. She comes back and says it won't be ready for 20 more minutes because there are 4 people ahead of me for refills. Wtf is the 1 pharmacist there filling multiple peoples meds at the same time. How was it 20 min then 30 minutes later, it's still amother 20 min. I called for a reason so i didnt have to wait around. I wish they would have just told me it would be an hour or more so i could go home or something. The pharmacy tech apologized a million times and I know it isn't her fault so that's why I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1. Just very frustrating. read more

CVS does not honor its agreement with Cigna to provide flu shots. The answer CVS gives is that Cigna requires the insured to go to a doctor to get a flu shot. That's beyond ridiculous. Can we make it any more difficult? Maybe CVS has a hidden agenda to sell flu related products. Cigna should drop CVS from their program. read more

I will never choose this CVS again. Three times is a charm and they've struck out. They have zero understanding of "five to ten minutes". What that means for the uninitiated is forty to sixty. If time is something you enjoy wasting this is the place for you. I would be fine with an honest answer to the question "When will it be ready?" If the answer is "forty minutes to an hour" so be it. I went into this CVS while on a road trip to get allergy medicine because I forgot to take it. I had to take the paper from the shelf to the pharmacy to get it. The woman at the pharmacy told me that she couldn't sell it to me because the ID scanner was down. I asked her why she couldn't just check my ID for my age and she just said she couldn't. I ended up having to walk out of the store with a different allergy medicine that doesn't really work for me and is a 24 hour instead of the 12 hour ones they sell at the pharmacy. I don't understand why it's so difficult to do simple math to see if I'm over 18. I believe that CVS in general should fix that protocol if it is a store-wide thing, and if not, this lady should be fired for being unhelpful in my time of need during an allergy attack. If it helps, she was a middle eastern woman but I didn't see her name but she was in the pharmacy, just incase you wanted to know who to avoid if looking for customer service. Zero stars would be a better review because I am dying from terrible allergies as I write this review. read more

Amazing to me that pharmacists actually have an extensive education but yet lack the ability to have any compassion and customer service when it comes to the people they serve. I went into this pharmacy today as I usually do because it's right across the street from my home. They made me wait 20 min for a RX that was called in by my doctor 20 min prior to that. I had my sick kids with me as well as feeling horrible myself. Then they only gave me 3 out of the 4 prescriptions and sent me on my way. My mistake of not realizing that I was missing one because I wasn't feeling my best. When I called when I got home to find out where the other one was, they had the nerve to tell me it was almost ready. Unbelievable how stupid people can be. Now I will be loading my sick children back into the car to go back to stand in line because they always have one and deal with these stupid people once more. read more
