How can a "convenience store" NOT have bags. I had just purchased multiple items and when I asked for a bag I was told in a very dismissive manner that they do not have bags. How can that be. I did not even know this was a Circle K gas station until I filled up my tank for $35. I really don't enjoy getting gas in my car but it's a necessity so I just went for it today before it got dark at 7:15 PM. This place has terrible quality, gas and the pump wasn't working. Well my experience with circle k has always been a whatever experience but tonight was something else. I was checking out and Corey was checking my ID and read my last name and decided it would be a good idea to talk about my sister. Apparently they went to middle school together and he a had a huge crush on her and decided to spark up a conversation about it. He decided to talk about her and in an explicit manner that really rubbed me the wrong way. I know it's odd that someone would be upset about this but come on man, that's my family and why would it be a part of your job that you decide to bring something touchy about a customers past. I just went to this location to buy a few things. The man at the desk was rude to me the entire time I was in the store. Any questions i asked were answered in a sarcastic and angry tone. I felt like he was mad that he was having to do work. When I got home I saw that I purchased something that I didn't want so I sent my girl back to the store to return the product. She came back home upset and shook because the guy berated her the entire time she was there. I called the store to ask to speak to a manager He told me no and hung up on me. This place can get a bit hectic in the morning due to people getting their fix sniff sniff. Sorry I meant sip sip & by fix I mean caffeine... Anyways Robert is always very nice during the AM shift & the lady in the afternoon is a delight also! Everyone else are dicks & never greet me. I have continuously had problems with the older African American lady who works here. The first few times I came in after I moved here about a year ago, she was very nice and I enjoyed interacting with her. I don't know what happened, but the past few months she has been a nightmare. I've had several awful visits here because of her. I'm not going to describe them all, but here are the worst two... I came in to turn in some scratchers I had won money on, and to get cigarettes and a beverage. I handed her the scratchers and told her I would like to use the $20 I won, to buy more scratchers. I also let her know I wanted the cigarettes, and that I would use my card to pay for those and the drink. She scanned the scratchers, got $20 worth of new scratchers, and scanned the cigarettes and drink. She told me the total was something like $28. (I forget the exact amount she said) I reminded her that I wanted to use the winning scratcher money to pay for the new scratchers. She insisted that she had already given me the money, which she absolutely had not. We argued about it for a few minutes, and it got a little heated. At one point I asked her if she was calling me a liar, and she said yes, and also accused me of being a thief. Then she looked down on the counter between herself and the register out of my line of view, and said "Oh wait, here it is." And handed me the $20. No apology from her for accusing me of stealing. She even tried to talk her way out of it, making it seem like the whole thing was somehow my fault. Another time I came in and the place was empty, besides her. She was dancing around and lip syncing to an Adelle song that was playing over the speakers in the store. I got a drink out of one of the coolers and went to the counter to pay for that and the two packs of cigarettes I also needed. She slowly danced her way to the register and continued to passionately lip sync as I asked her for the two packs of cigarettes. She never said a word to me, never acknowledged me, I wasn't even sure if she was hearing what I was saying. I also had winning scratchers to turn in *sigh. She grabbed cigarettes as I was noticing a line forming behind me. I handed her the scratchers and she went to the scanner to scan them. She took her sweet time scanning the scratchers, as she was focusing 99% of her energy on her lip syncing and dancing performance. It LITERALLY took her almost 10 minutes to scan like 5 scratchers. By this time the 6 or 7 people in line behind me were getting super mad. Apparently one of my scratchers wouldn't scan, and instead of letting me know verbally, she kept lip syncing and took the extra time to dance across the counter space, grab paper and a pen, wrote a note that said "Does not scan", stapled it to the scratcher, walked it over to me, handed it to me, still lip syncing and dancing the whole time, then danced back over to the scanner to finish the other scratchers. I was getting crazy anxiety because of how upset the people in line behind me were getting. One lady in line even yelled "COME ON, WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?!" The clerk ignored her and continued with her performance. She finally came back over to me with the scratcher money, which I had originally wanted to buy new scratchers with, but forget that, this whole interaction had already been going on for about 4 songs (approx. 15 minutes.) So I just took the money and paid for my other items, which took forever for her to ring up. At this point, another employee appeared at the second register. I grabbed my stuff and left. All the other customers were livid at this point, the clerk was STILL dancing and lip syncing to the songs, ignoring customers, and being 100% non verbal. I got to my car and noticed that she had only given me one of the two packs of cigarettes I had asked for. But there was NO WAY I was going back in there. Instead, I just ended up driving to the gas station on the next corner. I have had many other bad experiences with this woman in the past few months, and a few of my friends have had similar problems with her as well. I really really hope a manager reads this review and does something about her behavior. This Circle K is the most convenient place for me to go, but I find myself driving further and paying more, for my purchases, just to avoid interacting with this woman. I'm not a big "Yelper", I actually only use Yelp when I have great experiences, to write reviews about places that are awesome. I didn't write bad reviews, until now, because I don't believe anyone can judge a place or its employees properly from one experience. But this lady is just too much and I'm honestly offended by her behavior. 3 stars, because all of the other employees at this location are nice and helpful. If the rude woman I've been talking about was the only employee that worked there, I'd be giving zero stars. read more

Carol at the front desk is kinda bad at her job people...I know she might clean and do the back part of the job but number 1 customer service is not a priority to this lady, which is the BIGGEST part of her job! I think the management really at this point, need to step in and get her transferred out...if they feel like that is worth it (it's not), or they let her go. I have been a customer at that store for 10+ years and have never met a worker for that particular job worse than this lady. Always has a line...yep...very confrontational if you don't agree with what she has to say..unrelated work appropriate conversations. The whole reason I took the time to do this is because I sent a homeless man into get whatever food he wanted and I would pay for it, and this woman.. Comes over takes all the hot dogs in the case and puts them in a bag and proceeds to though them away. Not only did I yell at her...I signed up to yelp to tell all of u please stand up against people like this not only is it bad for business but it's bad for humanity!
