Terrible customer service yesterday night 2/28/22 by lady and man pharmacist while trying to pick up medication for my mom. Provided information needed and even told them both I was here to pick up one medication that my mom said she received a text it was ready. Then lady goes onto needing the name because it isn't in her system?? As I call my mom to confirm the name the lady has me pull back around so she can help car behind me which is understandable but she failed to tell me once it's 8pm there system locks them out so therefore I pulled back around for no reason bc when I got to the window the lady brings over the male he's telling me now there's nothing he can do until tomorrow and it's frustrating because I would've just stayed at the window while I got the name of medication, I still had minutes before 8pm after she had me pull back around. I left with no medication and very sloppy service and time wasted. If you don't like your job or cant provide good service and act like you do like it then you find something else, customers aren't an inconvenience when trying to get medication. I told my mom to change her pharmacy to a different cvs and think about this review before sending in your prescriptions here people.. read more

The pharmacy at this location is as incompetent as Ive ever seen. The last straw for us was last week when it took them two weeks to finally get my prescription filled. A prescription that has been with them for five years. The back and forth between my doctor and this CVS was an excercise in futility on the their part as I was in communication with my doctor throughout the process. It was recommended to me by my doctor to switch to Walgreens because they consistantly had problems with CVS. The arrogance displayed by the pharmacists, particularly Mr. Muang during this time was very disheartening to say the least. Customer service is definitely not high on their priority list. Its a shame because we live in Fish Canyon and this is a very convenient location. But after years of futility it is time to move on. read more

Most of the departments at this location do a good solid 4 star job there are some issues that the local management needs to address. I can usually find over the counter items on the shelf. The shelves are usually well stocked and neat and clearly labeled. Even at crazy busy times like Valentines and graduation the gift cards are neat. The cashiers are always friendly and fast. Where this location needs attention is the pharmacy. I have had more than a few little issues with them. Today I was part of a trifecta of customers who had issues. I was picking up a refill prescription. I gave the pharmacy cashier my insurance card and about 5 minutes she comes back and tells me it was cancelled. Hmmm... I am still paying my medical through work. Well, I have to have these antibiotics prior to dental work tomorrow, so I pay and work it out later. It isn't too late so I call Aetna member services and explain what happened. According to their computer, my number has not been accessed in a few months. The lady at Aetna says, "...since you are still close, let me speak to them.". Back inside the store I wait behind a gentleman whose meds were supposed to be ready yesterday. The clerk can't find his prescription even though the computer says it is ready. Now she is going to refund my money but can not because she does not have an authorization key. She has to wait until a pharmacist is available. While waiting for a pharmacist she decides to help the woman behind me. Good idea. The only problem -- can't find her prescription. Now there are three people in limbo! Finally a pharmacist comes over and I can get my refund based on my insurance and I leave. The other two customers may still be there. My time spent just waiting to get the refund was 38 minutes. read more

I've been coming here since the beginning, after demolishing the bowling alley and it was Sav-ons. The service is horrible, the employees walking around never ask if you need help or anything. They will follow you around and assume you are there to steal if you are a teenager or look like a hoodlum. I think management is to blame. The staff is minimal because they don't want to pay because supposedly there are a number of hours distributed amongst the employees. As a former employee of this location, this place is horrible. I only come here for the convenience because it's down the street and I'm usually in a rush. read more

I've been shopping there since 2010. Recently I had three increasingly unpleasant and embarrassing encounters with overzealous loss prevention personnel "it's nothing personal, Sir, it's the store policy, Sir". Basically, they must inspect your backpack on your way out. The search of mine revealed half-eaten lunch (hence the embarrassment :-) and a laptop. I suggest you take your business elsewhere. i went in on a friday and was nicley greeted by the girls and every one was nice and pleaseant at first , then tyrone decided that once i was already in the isle to leave my messenger bag at the front desk!. he asked me loud infront of a crowd as if i was a criminal! i told him why he didnt ask the lady next to me to check her bag as well , he stated because its a purse, i informed him well mine is a messenger bag and i will not leave my 300 coach messenger bag in the front after i already walked in and in the store. if youre going to check in bags do it as soon as the customer enters not while they are already shopping! he was racially profilling me wich is not ok, it was embarassing and offensive i am a real estate agent and was highley offended!! that definatley needs to change!! i purchased my items and will never return again , please coach tyrone! read more

They always take Forever to prepare prescriptions here. The drive thru is sullose to save one time, however iv waited 30 minutes on more than two occasions. They are so unorganized! read more

I use this CVS because of it's close proximity to my home. The staff are consistently friendly and helpful. There has been a great improvement in customer relations since their opening, and it's appreciated. I really love the convenience of the drive-through RX pickup. read more

This 5 Star review is related solely to the customer service I received while checking out at the CVS store located in Duarte. I have shopped at various CVS's throughout the San Gabriel Valley, and never once have I been made to feel like a valued customer until I had the wonderful experience of being assisted at the checkout by a Cashier whose name tag identified her as Karen. She greeted me with a warm and friendly smile, and was so very attentive and kind; unlike so many of the other Cashier's that work at other CVS stores. Karen is an employee who makes a customer feel valued, and for that reason, I will drive out of my way to shop at the Duarte CVS. The friendly service I received is definitely the highlight of the store, but I also noted that there is ample parking, and the store appeared well stocked and clean. read more

This pharmacy is HORRIBLE!!! DO NOT GO TO CVS IN DUARTE!!! Had to switch from Walgreens due to insurance changes. Not Happy! Two prescriptions were "never received" from two different doctors and 1 prescription was partially filled because the remainder of the prescription was given to someone else who ordered the same drug!!! I had to go twice in two days to get the full prescription!! Every time I go to this Duarte CVS I end up spending at least 15 minutes while they try to figure out why my prescription isn't ready!! Our doctor changed the dosage on a medication and so only a portion of the order was given to me! I was told my insurance wouldn't cover the remainder for another two days. I gave CVS 4 days and after waiting for 10 minutes was told the order showed it was filled that same day. Was it filled by mail order, they ask? How the heck should I know!!!! So we had switched over to Walgreens who have been AMAZING! Well the other day we got a call from this CVS pharmacy telling us our prescription was ready. What a joke!! When we went to there they couldn't fill our prescriptions without some problem and now that we haven't gone to them in months! They are automatically refilling our prescriptions?!?! Please someone in administration, look into this pharmacy and make changes! Unless it's admin that needs the changing. Good luck to whom ever decides to get their meds from here!!
