Yesterday my 19 yo daughter went to pick up a prescription that her pediatricians office sent over for her. When she arrived, John (official title now being best pharmacist ever!) Pulled her aside and explained to her that he wasn't comfortable giving her the meds because she is allergic to penicillin and apparently people who are allergic to penicillin should not take Cefalexin either, as they often have the same reactions. They called me and explained what was going on, and not only did he catch what her drs office of almost 19years did not, but he called the office multiple times to try and get a new prescription. So while we will not be going back to that drs office, we will never leaves Bells! Thank you John, what would we do without you!

Not only was the pharmacist able to fix my *2 week apart* issue that my prior pharmacy had put me in, but he also called me & updated me on everything, considering he knew I hated the situation my prior pharmacist put me in. The prices are even cheaper here than at the small pharmacy in my town! While my prescriptions are free, my mom doesn't have prescription insurance. So, I used the app "Good RX" to try and save her $. The prices at Bell Pharmacy are CHEAPER than Good RX! My mom was paying approx $50+ more/month for her prescriptions @ our other pharmacy. So, for the simple fact that I loathe horrible customer service/incompetence & had her switch pharmacies also, (bcuz we go to the dr & fill our prescriptions the same time/day & I didn't wanna walk into my old pharmacy again b/c of the stress they put me under), she - without intent, instantly is saving $50+/month-$600+/year! So, I had a prescription of Iron medicine for my Kid. They provided an over-the-counter medicine charging me more than 3 times than its available on Target/Walmart/Amazon. It was not a generic / Custom medicine. Market price is around $8 and I was charged $31 for the same brand and quantity. That huge was the difference. When I understood the issue, I went back next day with the bottle (not opened and sealed and they didn't agree to take it back. If it was a custom created medicine, I would have agreed but it was just a standard medicine. Pharmacies do have a policy to not take medicines back but it's not applicable for over-the-counter ones. Sorry Colonia, I am not going to recommend you to anyone anymore.

The…read morecashiers are young, rude, clueless, and act like helping customers is the biggest inconvenience in the world. Half the time they're standing around talking while customers wait forever. The phone service is an absolute joke. You get put on hold for 20-30 minutes just to ask a simple question, and then they come back with an attitude like YOU bothered THEM. The pharmacist acts overwhelmed and disorganized constantly, also a rude dick. Prescriptions are never ready when they say they will be, nobody communicates with each other, and every visit turns into unnecessary stress. What happened to professionalism? This is a pharmacy, not a high school hangout spot. The staff acts annoyed anytime someone asks a question, and the customer service is honestly embarrassing. I've had better experiences at busy chain pharmacies than this so-called "friendly neighborhood pharmacy." Honestly, I'm switching to CVS. It's closer, faster, and at least when employees have attitudes there, management actually steps in and fixes it. Here, the bad attitudes are apparently encouraged because nobody does anything about it. And CVS calls you to tell them they have your medications and then call you when they're ready. Here, you have call them. You wonder why you're losing business? This is exactly why. The ownership changes constantly, employees don't care, and the whole place feels poorly managed. I give this place maybe 3 more years before it either gets sold again or shuts down completely. You'd think they'd read these and take them into account and learn from them, but NO! they think they're doing you a favor. We're right, you're wrong. What do you expect on Staten Island? This is why mom and pop businesses are going under and everyone would rather shop online just not to hear people's attitudes. Keep having this mindset. They're also only kind to you if they know you personally, if they don't know you they don't care. Rude much? I'm looking for your mother, whatever the doctor sent, you got my name, you see the prescriptions, why are you asking me. A joke. She isn't the owner, the pharmacist, and i'm sure i'm not the only one who has complained about her, yet, she's still there. This place will never do better, so don't waste your time. It's a shame. I support small businesses, but unfortunately, a lot of small businesses, especially on Staten Island, don't care. I guess because they're just miserable and arrogant to begin with and feel as if they got it like that and they're entitled to be a jerkoff because they're having a bad day. Imagine if we all did that because they're the only one'sallowed to have a bad day. I've worked in retail, personal stays personal, and most of all, the customer is always right. When you finally get someone on the line, they don't listen to your request. I advised the agent that I needed to report a patient's death so they can close the account. The agent proceeded to ask me what prescription I was calling for to have filled. I had to repeat and explain again the reason for my call. Then she.said the patient's file will be notated. I hope she actually notates the file and things are appropriately closed out on their end.
