Disgusting experience! Terrible customer service! Encino location, December 11th, 2024 4: 06 pm. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!! Danny from nail polish department sales person (he said that he is the manager) raised his voice on me, and almost stepped on me, also was waivig /gesticulation with his hands just in front on my face, also screaming at me. When I asked him do not wave his hand in front of my face, he didnt stopped. He actually starts doing it in more aggressive manner, trying to intimidate me. My mom, 72 years old, was next to me, she was scared that he would hit me. When i asked him, do not talk to me in such abusive manner, he said that I was not respectful to his employee. Which is totally not true, since I didn't talk to her at all, i didn't have a time to talk to anyone. I asked, she answered. Thats it! I asked to call supervisor, and supervisor by the name Luis , actually was there right after, talking to this guy Danny didn't do anything. So it's terrible experience. I've been leaving in the area , just around the corner, for 21 years, and never had such a disgusting, abusive, unprofessional customer service. This person Danny, should NOT working in customer service industry at all. Especially in woman's beauty department. BTW when I asked Danny phone number of Corporate office he refused to provide, also he refused to tell me his name. So be aware people. Soon they gonna beat us! read more

Fraud! Purchased a Sephora gift card (over $200) and it had a zero balance! Called CVS Encino and spoke to a manager (have receipt proof) and they refuse to take accountability. They push you off to the credit card company. Just found out another friend also bought a Sephora gift card here and the same thing happened and Amex would not refund the money. Total scam! Do not buy Gift cards from this CVS!! read more

Went to this CVS to get my COVID-19 booster shot yesterday. When I checked in around ten, the woman handling vaccine check ins was immediately hostile after I gave her my birth date. She berated me as to why I needed a booster shot (which SHE did not need to know) basing her bias solely on my age. Age is not an indicator of health or vitality and as a cancer survivor this was incredibly frustrating as I've been dealing with this bias since my hair grew back. Female Pharmacist Aylin Abed was incredibly rude and dismissive. She lied about not being able to take a health savings card saying it's "illegal" despite me doing so at other CVS locations without issue. This is flat out untrue, and as a physician with a DEA license myself, I am very disappointed with her poor demeanor and exploitation of a valued customer at this location. This is the absolutely worse CVS I have to go too. I dread it.... they are unorganized there is a constant line, then after you wait in a long line they never have your prescription.... you then have to go to the pharmacist window and wait in that line then go back to the line to pay for it ugggg. I went to the pharmacy I had ordered something that I had to pick up not a prescription. The young girl behind the counter was, very rude, inpolite, unfriendly, I became so frustrated I went to th front counter to pay for my order, I thought I had went ta different store. I found Adrianna to be helpful, professional, caring, friendly!! No attitude!!! I complained to the Pharmacy Manager, he just had a blank look on his face without any comment!!! He had the peronality of a mop, that I keep in my kitchen closet. I don't usually write reviews but I'm an observer and sometimes people put things wrong online and I feel like theese two young employees didn't deserve that and honestly I felt like it had to be known..... I went in maybe a couple days ago give or take and this was during the night time I was just doing some casual late night run for some items I needed. I wait in line and this young girl she's just helping out this guy , I guess something went wrong because he looked sort of upset so when she calls her colleague over to fix whatever happened he's clearly angry and putting all his anger on her as well and now dont get me wrong but this guy he took things way too far and just rudely handled things and just snatches things out of her hands as he's walking away i loudly think like what the f thats rude those girls are handsling this with such grace and some guy infront of me literally just asked why that guy was so rude and one of them barley gets in a word trying to say that he was just upset and not even a second later this man is yelling at them saying he didn't want to wait behind like what one person like ugh buddy you cut in front of more people just so you can yell at them on your way out like common sense is just walk out and go on about your night , leave a review on their survey and have someone else handle it . I realize the person left their own review and noticed that they have such mean and hateful things to say about a lot of locations and you never know a persons situation or mentality so I'm guessing from what I've seen that this person isn't exactly the happiest so I hope he gets some happy, but that was unnecessary and those girls didn't deserve to be treated like they were anything less . i used to work in the food industry in my highschool years and nobody should ever be treated so harshly! I do realize now that I've written a literal essay but oh well I hope this clears that out from someone else's pov as it wasnt mentioned by anyone of the other bystanders that saw how it happened . we are adults and should react like adults and not treat other people so rudely for a situation that was fixed on the spot. If you value your life, do NOT get your medications here. I have very expensive specialty medication. I've had multiple issues with CVS mishandling my medications (ie, refrigerating medication which is clearly marked DO NOT REFRIGERATE). Today they quite literally LOST my medication. Calling me after I left and filed a complaint with an excuse of "oops, gee, so sorry, we forgot to log it in" is not acceptable. Apparently I'm supposed to be grateful this was not my other medication which MUST be refrigerated. If my insurance would let me get my specialty medication anywhere else, I would. read more

In the former Barnes & Noble. Where I wasted away my senior year in high school and several years ofmy college years. I miss it. It's so sad to walk through this CVS. Has pharmacy. Didn't take too long to fill a prescription. Has good selection of of health care products (masks, scrubs, moisturizers, etc). They even have those expensive Oil of Olay Regenerist pretty close to the Costco prices... notlocked up! They have "Encino" tees and onesies. This is great for when I next get visitors from out of town. read more

The system here just tried to jipp mi for my money. Long story short an item that was an original price of $42.99 That was on a sale price of $14.99 with a cvs card. And regular $.20.99. As I go to the self check out line I see that I was about to be charged he full amount of $42.99 plus tax which would of been close to I dunno maybe $50 smacks. I askd one of the workers why this was happening. They didn't believe me at first so I showed them a foto of the price that I took a picture of. They had one other employee go back and check just to have him come back to the other guy helping me out telling g him yeah it does say $14.99. Took 4 people to figure out wat the heck was going on and wat the problem was. The manager finally just said to Manually type it into fix the issue. I've waited over 20 min to get this done when they could have done that in the first place. Topic to my issue is o double and triple check everything if needed so that you won't get money taken that was not necessary in the first place. You feel my drift? I'm glad they fixed it b4 I stared to give attitude to every one that works there. Cuz I'm bit of a hot head with a short fuse. read more

My elderly mother has been shopping at this location since it replaced the Barnes and Noble. She finds the location to be very convenient and the associates who work there very helpful. Two associates who have been very helpful to her are Tony, Bruno and Ashot. They make sure that every time she goes there that she has a positive shopping experience and is able to get things that are too heavy for her to lift into her cart and/or she cannot reach and/or cannot find. So this has made her a repeat/return customer for many years. read more

Never had a problem here until tonight and whoever was in charge left some poor teenager who can't sell alcohol to run the only register while she talked on the phone. Idk what's wrong with her when there's a line of customers and she can't pay attention to what's happening. I love this pharmacy, and have no idea why there are such negative reviews, they are not true, nor accurate. The pharmacy staff goes above and beyond meeting our needs, and is far away from the "typical" pharmacies with terribly arrogant pharmacists. I am so glad I found them after dropping my previous pharmacy. I would name the excellent staff, but perhaps not appropriate to list them by name, but I would like to thank them all; especially how they helped me today. Do not believe the reviews below. I highly recommend this location, and am very disappointed in the nastiness I read below. In these times, they went overboard to help me out. I like this CVS. Staff is always nice, they helped me download the CVS app so I can get extra savings. My card and phone number are somehow not linked but it worked on the app. It's CVS; it meets my needs. I'm not expecting to find a Prada purse here or a Kobe steak. It has all the basic essentials for home you need, i.e. Shampoos, conditioners, candy, toys for kids, q-tips, holiday decorations, etc... Convenient parking. Having Starbucks right next door is a definite plus for me! Don't know what others are expecting to give it a low rating. read more

This CVS is a nightmare in so many ways. I will highlight the three major issues I have observed in this review over the past year of picking up my scripts here: 1. Protection of consumer privacy (HIPAA violations) 2. RUDE ass staff 3. Sometimes smells like cat piss. 1. I went to pick up a prescription that I guess had some contraindications for use. The pharmacist was loudly prodding me about my health issues in front of other customers. Depending on what you're going through, this can be awkward and embarrassing. But above all, it's a violation of HIPAA. 2. A few months ago I went here, and there was an Asian man (not sure from where, I'm not an expert at this) who had an accent. The lady at the cash register was immediately, visibly frustrated with him and asked for his ID. Upon searching him, she found that he did not have a prescription there. The man had been trying to explain to her that he was picking up for his son, not for himself, but she was too impatient to receive the message, thus causing frustration and embarrassment for both. I also saw the same lady being very rude toward an older couple who were there to pick up their medication because they were closing soon. 3. IDK what happened in here but man when it rains, it smells like straight up cat pee. That will be all. read more

Man, I feel like a traitor. I mean, I tried my best not to go to this location and not to like it. I mean it took over Barnes and Noble. Yes, I cheated on my love, the bookstore. While there nothing like a bookstore, this CVS is one of the better ones. The pharmacists are on point. Super nice, professional, on time, get it right and actually care about what they're doing. The store has always been clean and well stocked. The cashiers are always friendly, greet you when you enter, ask if you need help and engage in small talk while checking you out. Yes, it's no bookstore and I completely miss Barnes and Noble with every cell in my body but, CVS isn't the enemy. And this one isn't so bad. read more

Came to this location because I happen to be in the area and needed my Rx filled asap. Pharmacy intern who helped me on 9/10/19 AM looked extremely confused, clicked around on the computer for a good 5 minutes while mumbling to herself, and told me my Rx expired. Called my regular CVS and they said they transferred my Rx to Encino and Encino must have deleted it from the system. Called Encino and the woman on the phone said she received no transfers and denied deleting the Rx even after agreeing with me that the intern from 9/10 was new and confused. Don't cover up your interns' mistakes or else they will never learn. I should have looked at the previous yelp reviews before walking in here thinking I could save time. Avoid!!! read more

This store is not COVID safe, especially the PHARMACY. They no longer have plexiglass dividers protecting you from cashier's breaths. One time a cashier waited on me in the pharmacy, not wearing a mask with no divider. I asked if she was required to get a vaccination to work there, and she said no. I asked if she had a shot, and she said no, she did not believe in it. How can she be working there? I called the corporate phone number two times. I was given a case number. Nothing ever happened. They were going to call me back to explain. Never happened. So the President/CEO must be a Republican who is not looking out for the best interest of their customers. All the other stores have them up, grocery, gas station, and on and on. Of course I am going to stay away from them, and if your are concerned about yur health you should too. read more

My first time at this location (Encino) and it was a pleasant experience. Store was stocked neatly and nicely; it was busy yet not overcrowded. Best of all, I met the cashier, Krystal. She was pleasant, had a friendly attitude and was helpful. I plan on going back just because of all the good things I experienced first time around. A simple RX was called into this cvs at 1pm and at 3:30 a text came through saying it was ready for pickup! I called anyway, spoke to a female pharmacists who confirmed! I end up at the wrong cvs- my bad- they see it in the system at this pharmacy, begin a quick transfer to them and find out they never even filled it and had it on standby! All that after a "ready" text and a call Havenhurst CVS. Just not good business. I'm hearing too many 'not such great things' about cvs in general these days. Sad. I grew up with reliable, caring pharmacists as a kid but these days there is no relationship between patient and pharmacist and surely it's not their choosing. I imagine it's fear of the FDA and Insurance companies- pharmacy's are pushed into productivity alone and generalizing patients needs, not personalizing. Takes too long. In and out, productivity is what is fed. Perhaps it's a little too much like what's happened to radio, DJs in particular (remember DJ's?) How DJs used to be able to play to their audience, their geographic location and even what the DJ wanted to play! AND... they'd take live requests! Now, every genre is fed the same radio playlist so what you hear in Kansas is likely what you'll hear in NYC. As if listeners were robots. Welcome to the robot service industry, CVS. I've been meaning to write a review for a long time now about this particular cvs. I have never been to a more professional, friendly cvs. You are always greeted when you enter and thanked when you leave. I'm originally from a small town and have never encountered this at my cvs at home. The pharmacy staff especially stands out to me. Pharmacists know your name and will always take the time to make friendly small talk to you. They are always making sure to move as quickly as possible so that you don't encounter a long wait. If you ever find yourself in any sort of line, someone will assure you that they will help you as soon as possible and will apologize for the wait. As someone who is used to waiting at every pharmacy I've been at, I'm always pleasantly surprised by this attitude. The last time I was there, there was a father picking up medications for his children, who were waiting in the car. In order to not make him wait, the pharmacist on duty worked quickly to get his order complete so he wouldn't have to come back. Pharmacists also always make time to explain everything fully to you and never make you feel silly for asking questions. I'm positive that even if I don't live this close to this particular location in the future, I will make the trip to continue to shop here. A little friendliness and customer service go a long way! read more

CVS Pharmacy - Reg 1 - Drugstores Near Me - Encino, California

CVS staff in the front helped me out. One of the Female Staff was very kind to me. (which made me want to spend $100) Give em a raise! Then, enter the Pharmacy Crew. They were having a good time talking about their weekends and dogs, they ignored some of the customers. The Pharmacy staff ignored me for about 15 minutes (during which there were no other customers there) And I was dressed nice, slacks, nice shirt, dress shoes and all :D What if I was dressed "urban style" that day? I probably would have waited an hour as if I was in Six Flags waiting to ride that new ride that came out. At least, Magic Mountain is fun and worth waiting for (many hot chicks and awesome rides that make you throw up) read more

Take my word for it, AVOID THIS STORE. Bought an item here and when it did not work I came to return it, with a receipt . At the front I encountered a large female employee who was rude, condescending and tried her best to cheat me. First she told me she could not read my receipt so she was giving me 1/2 of what I paid, than when I asked for a manager she was very rude and talked over me when I tried to talk to a manager Well, the supervisor could read the receipt and returned my product all while she continued talking over me. I was there on Saturday evening about 7:45 pm so if cvs wants they can identify this woman and send her packing. For now you would do far better with going to Rite, in fact I will tell everyone to pull their prescriptions out to another pharmacy just so they can avoid this type of an attitude. A girl manager with glasses was very rude in using the words as if I was using someone else's CVS card as a credit card. Very big difference. The guy who helped me should of been the manager. Super cool store - had fun exploring the makeup area and also purchased some gaming gift cards. I wanted to leave a nice review for this location and approached an employee, Staci, to ensure the location on Yelp was the right one I was leaving a review for. She was extremely rude and said with an attitude, "There are several stores on this road." and walked past me without addressing my question properly. There is ONLY 1 person at the register who is friendly and always says hello. All of the other workers act as if you do not exist. The most annoying part is that they let there lines build up to at least 7 people before the decide to ask for help and when they do it is usually the "beauty manager" who strolls up to the register looking irritated and is so beyond rude she should NOT be working in customer service, at all.
