Really not the best location. Not enough employees working here. Those who do don't know about anything about what they sell. Employees are rude. Not a lot of parking. It's in the same lot as Ralph's. Had another bad experience at another location. Cvs is just a bad chain. However they have lots of coupon offers when you get a cvs card. Prices are a little high on some products. Get the cvs brand its cheaper. For drinks and snacks you are better off going to Ralph's. read more

I like the pharmacy. And the fact this cvs is big. HOWEVER, the ratio between size of the store and the amount of workers are a bit disproportionate. There are only two cashiers at this cvs which tbh I don't mind, just an observation. The reason for my low review is bc of my recent experience with the photo section... Firstly, bc the photo area is in the VERY back of the store there's no one ever manning that station. You have to go to a cashier and ask them to get someone to help you there. They are also quite disorganized in that area just from looking at it. LONG story short + a tip to people that are very impatient, if you need help getting your photos don't ask Shannon. Shannon is pretty incompetent at her job or she just doesn't put in real effort to look for your things, ..but she seems like a nice person. The reason I didn't give 1 star is bc the rest of the workers are very friendly and extremely helpful. Especially Jason and I think the girl's name was Zeluma? I loved them. read more

Prep your video camera because you may catch something that could go viral on Youtube...... Watch out for the lady who claims you are in a satanic cult.....the same satanic clut that raped her the night before.....the same night her purse was stolen from members from Ozzy Osborne O_o As far as the actual CVS, whats there to hate? It is CVS people!!!! meaning place is wack! once in a while they have good deals but nothing more than that. This location seems to have a good up keep and it doesn't look all ghetto and dirty like most of them do, at least it hasn't gotten to that point yet. The ladies there have been nice nothing super cool but I PERSONALLY haven't had a complete horrible experience here. One thing is for sure their pharmacies are a complete ripoff!!!!! read more

Excellent customer service. I usually find someone almost immediately to ask questions and they are always helpful.

Horrible service! Waited in line with a migraine wanting to pay for my medicine. The Hispanic cashier with dyed blonde hair is extreme slow and just rude. I asked her if I could open the medicine that I'm paying for since my migraine is getting worse and she said no just wait. Understandable but then she proceeded to take her time trying to open receipt paper then tells me "I know you are dying but just wait" seriously? After the customer she was helping got tired of waiting for her to open a receipt paper roll he left and then she decided to scream across to the other register telling customer no no you're wrong. Can you help the person waiting in line? I grab my stuff and went to another lane. The gentleman who was in that lane was the complete opposite. read more

Kind of surprised when I read through other reviews here on this CVS location. My office is across the street so I go to this CVS on a fairly frequent basis. I have only had great customer service by the staff. Inventory at times can be an issue but I blame this on the CVS inventory system which in a previous life I have some experience with. read more

Let me start off my review by saying that I LOVE CVS. It is my favorite drugstore chain, and I will go out of my way to visit one. So, you can imagine how excited I was when one opened up right across the street from my work. Unfortunately, it turns out that this is THE WORST CVS I have ever been to. My first visit there was during its first week in operation. I picked up a few things, and then waited in line for 15 minutes with only one cashier open. Okay, I figured I would cut them some slack since they had just opened. Perhaps they were understaffed, and going through some growing pains as they got things established. So, I waited a few weeks and went back again. This time when I tried to enter off of Ventura Blvd, it was locked. Odd, I thought, since the store has been opened for hours. I walked all the way around to the front entrance. I did my shopping, and I brought my items up to the register to be greeted to a line of 8 people. Yikes. So, I got in line. About 5 minutes later, the cashier called for more help. A girl came and opened another register. She called me over to her register, and then as I approached she answered the phone at her register. She then proceeded to assist the customer on the phone for about 3 minutes without even acknowledging the fact that I was standing there. Then she rang me up while she was on the phone. Okay, rude, but I was still willing to give them the benefit of the doubt that perhaps they had still not gotten their issues straightened out. Then I got back to work and realized that she charged me twice for one of my items, so I had to go all the way back...wait in line for 10 minutes again...and have them reverse it. Then I went back again today, which is about 2 weeks since my last visit. I again tried to enter through the entrance off of Ventura Blvd, and it was locked. No signs indicating the entrance was closed. Annoying, but I digress. I once again walked up to the register to be greeted to a huge line. A majority of the people with returns. So, I waited. And waited. The cashier called Carl to his register. We waited. And waited some more. Carl never showed up. So, after waiting almost 15 minutes in line, I finally paid for my items and left. For good. Sorry, CVS. I'm an understanding girl, but this store is a hot mess. read more

I really like the size and layout of this CVS branch. Some CVS stores feel cramped, others are difficult to navigate around, but this one has an open feel and the sections are well-marked. The pharmacy is also very helpful. The only complaint I had against the store is the extra long receipts they give you at checkout, but there are some decent coupons on them. It's also in a good location - next to a Starbucks and Jamba Juice. I've slowly moved all my non-grocery item purchases to CVS Encino. Low stress, super easy. read more

Twice in the past few months I've renewed prescriptions by phone only to come in a few days later and have them tell me they never received the reorder. This last time I phoned in the reorder and then showed up three days later to pick it up. The pharmacist told me they never received the order but it would be in Monday morning. I showed up two days later on Monday and they did not have it in stock. So now I'm missing two days of medication because of their inability to fill a prescription. The only reason they got two stars is because the staff is generally friendly. I do believe that they are trying, but two mix ups in three months is a red flag. read more

Understaffed and confused when it comes to insurance. I think this is more of a CVS problem than just this one store in particular. After being told that they could not take my insurance I called my HMO the next day and he got it taken care of in about 30 minutes. My insurance is now in there system so there should not be anymore problems. We'll see! read more

Consistently botch my prescriptions. You can get a 90 day supply of generic medications for only $12.00 WITHOUT INSURANCE if you get a CVS Health savings Pass. However, WATCH OUT! If you have insurance that covers only a 30 day supply for $15.00, this pharmacy will insist upon processing your refill that way. I specifically tell them to process my prescriptions bypassing my insurance, but they process them in the manner most beneficial to the pharmacy, not the customer. Why would I pay $3.00 more for one third the medicine? CVS thinks I should. read more

Wow, I am really surprised about the poor reviews and problems posted with the CVS pharmacy! And this is only about the pharmacy and only my experiences. I changed from Ralph's Pharmacy on the other end of the same parking lot because Ralphs was under staffed, often did not have basic medications on stock, and the last straw was when I was over charged $753 over several months by their brain dead prescription assistant because she did not know that she made an on going error in billing and then commenced with excuses instead of graciously saying "I am sorry". I did not know about the problem until they asked me to pay $123 for one prescription which I knew was just a old generic $5 co-pay. I had to go through hoops to get my over charges refunded to me. So I decided to walk over to CVS. This is what I found: 1. Their prices are less then Ralphs--both for non formulary drugs and about 20% for covered drug co-pays. I do not know why as it is the same Medicare Part D plan. 2. I have never had a prescription that CVS did not have on hand. 3. The staff working at CVS has always been about as kind and courteous as you could hope for. Sometimes, if somebody is on lunch break, it takes a few minutes more but that is no different than any other pharmacy. 4. I was required to take a special drug that is covered under Part B of Medicare. The billing procedure is different for Part B than Part D. I checked with Walgreen, Ralphs, and Costco and none of those people knew much about Part B covered drugs. They just said something like "bring in the prescription and we will try to figure it out". The staff at CVS immediately knew how to bill Part B drugs and with Part B supplement, I paid nothing. 5. So why the four instead of five stars? Parking can be limited and there is one pharmacist who, when you ask a question, will not let you finish your question and answers or says something that has nothing to do with what you are asking due to not letting you finish. A very nice person but lacking in communication skills. Not a big problem but annoying. read more

Rude staff, constantly understaffed. They are in a very busy shopping center and there are always customers in there. The staff is usually unfriendly and not helpful at all. They will yell at you "Welcome to CVS" when you walk in the door, which is rather annoying when they have to stop ringing up your stuff to say hi to someone else. Every cashier I have ever had to check out with always seems like they hate their jobs. Look, I know that working retail is not fun, but when the customer is smiling and saying Hi, don't glare and grumble under your breath. Every time I leave there, I am in a bad mood. Walk in all happy, leave pissed off. Won't happen again though, I'm never going back! I would have complained to a manager the last time I was in, but he was too busy on a call with another manager (laughing and joking about another manager) to bother helping the 8 people in line behind me. A super, local pharmacy that's quick, efficient and friendly. They send you texts when your prescription is ready---so convenient!

The regular store's staff is generally helpful. The pharmacy staff is a different story: ignoring customers, inefficient at maintaining a steady flow of customers and helping them. It's kinda like the pharmacists don't have a care in the world although their pharmacy technicians are the ones on the front line often having to respond to frustrated customers. The pharmacy hours are also way too short, especially on weekends when people have more time to come out. The general store staff is nice and I like the cleanliness of the store. read more

This relates to CVS #2958 Encino CA): I dropped off a prescription last Saturday and they couldn't fill it at the time. I was texted that my prescription came in and on the following Saturday I went in to pick it up. It was not ready and I was told I could wait. Then the pharmacist told me that she didn't understand the doctor's prescription. I explained to her that this same prescription had been filled by this same pharmacy for the past 2 years and they had never had a problem before. She them came back to me and told me they did not have my medicine. She did not apologize except to tell me that it wasn't her fault. This is not the first time I have had this type of problem at this particular CVS. read more

This place is not well managed at all!!!! When I walked in I found what I was looking for and went to the coupon center to print coupons.After typing in my information, which took so long because the machine had a delay, the screen froze. I decided to live without the coupons and got in line anyway. There were 2 cashiers and I was waiting in line for what felt like forever because the woman in front of me was using a credit card with a chip and their chip reader was not working properly. The cashier had her try different cards and nothing was working. I finally decided to get in the other line because it looked hopeless. When I went into the other line the cashier that I left had a smug look on his face and said "you left my line and I just finished." I continued to wait in the line I was currently waiting in with the other cashier and low and behold the person in front of me had a credit card with a chip and the chip reader wasn't working! I only had 2 items and I was ready to pay in cash! I was on my lunch break and didn't expect to spend 10 minutes waiting in line! I left my items on the conveyor belt and walked out to go back to work! What a waste of my time! I have never seen a store so disorganized and technologically challenged!!!!!!! read more

I used to get my prescriptions here, but the staff and store itself is awful. Staff is rude, doesn't care and is not helpful. This is my health and it's important to be treated with respect in an atmosphere like CVS. Unfortunately, I filed a complaint to upper management and I never heard back. The manager of the store always looks like she rolled out of bed and most of the staff has absolutely no clue what they are doing. Stay away from this location. You will waste time. A lot of time. I'm especially grateful for the Pharmacist, Dr. Sara Janashvili. Her professionalism, kindness, knowledge, intelligence, and helpfulness are exemplary. She's very knowledgable about insurance as well. Also can't forget to mention wonderful Rodney! He's the sweetest, so caring, helpful, friendly, always smiling. It seems so empty compared to all the other cvs' I've ever been to. I don't understand it. The absolute worst excuse for a Pharmacy, ever! I went to this CVS because they are close to my house and close to my Doctor's Office. Now we have all had bad service at one time or another, for people do get busy at their jobs and everyone is in a hurry, and the establishment may be understaffed. These types of things happen, this I understand. But my experience at this place can lay claim to none of those excuses. This is the first time I felt obligated to write a review, so I am not one of those people who are never satisfied and just vent and complain. I am sure you know the type. This review is for the Pharmacy only and not the whole store. I am a 65 year old man and I have horrible pain, the source of which has yet to be discovered. A pain so great that you actually have no life without some type of medication. I am sure some of you unfortunately know exactly what I am speaking of. The lady Pharmacist, I wish I had her name to post, was extremely rude and short with me. Then she actually lied to me about the meds I asked for and told me she did not have them. Lied! How do I know this? Because when I asked the checker to speak to the Store Manager, he told me! He then told me she would not fill my script because she doesn't know my Doctor. What? Does every Doctor have to go to CVS and present their Resume' and Diploma to every Pharmacist? As if. Then she proceeded to call me a liar, and accused me of being a drug addict! What? Mind you this was the first time I had ever tried to fill a script there. I was humiliated and belittled and I actually feel like suing this place. I will never visit this store again, ever and I would caution anyone else to never go there either. I had a valid script written by a Columbia Grad, whose has been in perfect standing with the Medical Board of California for over thirty years, and they refused me my medication. My Doctor is right down the street and they even refused to call him to verify my Prescription. What? This Pharmacy is a disgrace to the Medical Community, an absolute disgrace and should have their DEA license revoked. Members of my family hold high positions in government, I am not stating this to brag, I am stating this because this Pharmacy doesn't realize who they have embarrassed. I will pull every string I can in Washington to have this place reprimanded or at least fined! I will also do my best to have the Pharmacist's license revoked. I am serious, that's just how mad I am. I recounted the story to my Doctor and he was livid beyond belief! He suggested I go to Walmart, a place where I have never been. So I walked in, gave them my script and ID, they said thank you and please come back in 30 minutes. I did, paid for my script, they asked if I had any questions or was allergic to anything, they gave me my meds and I left. OMG! Somebody actually knows their job and how to perform it! Well done! I'll be back and never, ever go to CVS again for as long as I live. You shouldn't either. At this point I do not know what I am feeling, anger or humiliation, it might be both, but at least I am no longer in agonizing pain. read more
