Pharmacy department was extremely rude. We were told that our medication would be ready within 30 minutes, arrived and they told us an hour. We came back over an hour later and they told us another hour. They couldn't even find our prescription either and they claimed to have "seen" it prior to us coming. I guess anyone can be a pharmacist nowadays. Don't give customers attitude if attitude isn't given to you, don't work in the customer service if you don't want to speak to customers. read more

This is ridiculous. Set up an appointment for a COVID test. Drove 45 minutes for test. Been sorting in line for almost 45 minutes. Truck at the front of the line hasn't moved. It's supposed to be a drive thru. I can understand 15 minutes but this is ridiculous. read more

This was my worst pharmacy experience ever. My husband was released from the hospital with pneumonia and a heart attack. He couldn't wait until the next day to get his meds. We called at 7pm and was told they were extremely busy and they would not be able to fill his prescriptions for at least 3 1/2 hours. Three hours later, I came in to get his meds only to find out nothing had been done to fill them. So I wait, and wait, and wait. I see the one assistant leave and it's just one employee left. Watching her flit around was super frustrating. Finally, my order was ready, but the register would not accept my HSA card that had over $500 on it for a $25 purchase. She had the temerity to tell me obviously I had no money on the card. The manager came over and was dismissive of my concerns and frustrations, reminding me they are the only 24 hour pharmacy in the area. I finally had to pay cash for my order as they would not accept my valid card. If they are going to be the only 24 hour pharmacy in the area, then they at least need to be at least mediocre. I would suggest never go to this store if you value yourself as a person. Because they don't. read more

The pharmacy at this CVS needs a class in customer service. I went to pick up a prescription for my Granddaughter and was told that they did not have the medicine in stock that was needed but would have it the next day. I told him that would not work and could he see if any of the other CVS pharmacies had them that I would go there to get them. He looked at his computer and told me that he could not tell if any of them had them that I would have to contact them to see which one had the medicine. The prescription was called in by the Dr.s office and I didn't know what the name of the medicine was. He told me all I had to do was give them her name and birthday and they would see the medicine that was ordered. I did this and after calling two of them I found one who had the medicine in stock. Now wouldn't you think if any of the CVS's could look up her name and address and see, that CVS would have a software program that would tell any CVS who has stock of a medicine that was needed? That CVS employee should have called for me and found the medicine at another CVS. I understand that they run out of medicine but what happened to helping the customer? What if Mc Donalds told you they didn't have any buns and you would have to check around at the other Mc Donalds to see who had them? I done with the Pharmacy at CVS. read more

This is legitimately the worst pharmacy I've ever been to. Half the time the pharmacist is "on lunch" and I sit around waiting for them to issue a prescription. The other half the time the staff doesn't have the slightest clue what's going on. I've never been in here and had things go smoothly and always end up waiting for a half an hour. My wife came here to purchase a package of DayQuil cold medicine. Got home and found the sealed package was missing capsules - half a card already punched out and used. She immediately took them back and, while her money was refunded, it was done so by the cashier in a very "we don't really care" manner. Upon looking for a replacement, we found that many of the products shelved were expired. Again, the employees here had no problem showing that they just didn't care. The employees that work the pharmacy are the absolute worst employees I've ever came across. (Besides the lady that works around 8:00 am, shout out to you girl). Anyways, you can tell by the medications that I pick up that I struggle with mental health. Every single month, I have issues with them saying my psychiatrist didn't send my medications in when he definitely did. I have to go through heck and back to get them to fill anything. Whenever I need to call them to try my best to get my meds filled on time, they are so mean that I actually cry when I get off the phone. When it's time to get my scripts filled, I dread how what they say/do is going to ruin my day because I'm struggling with mental health and super sensitive when people are rude. ive been nothing but nice because I don't believe in being a karen to any employee even when they're mean and bad at their jobs. They have hung up on me or just give me so much attitude when all I need is to not let my brain chemistry get thrown off or not get pregnant if they can't fill my BC on time. They act like one can get addicted to birth control or mood stabilizers/antidepressants. Dont even get me started on how they say the meds will be ready and they keep pushing back the time by hours. Overall, worst experience ever and i don't recommend choosing this pharmacy unless you want to deal with the meanest employees ever. First, after 0ver 20 years being loyal to Pucci's on J St., downtown - when Pat and Tom took such wonderful, personal care with even the newest of customers - even delivering some new heart med to my home - and refusing to take any money for the delivery - because Tom and Pat knew the Dr. had put a rush on it and I had no way to get it, myself. Everyone at that Pharmacy was family and we customers all looked forward to going in, visiting, even if we had nothing to pick up. Then this rude, arrogant, seemingly antisocial dude name Clint took over and it took less than a week before everything was obviously making a MAJOR CHANGE for the worse! After all the time he and this other guy bought it, I finally had enough and fired them, moved on to the K St. CVS. Talk about jumping from the frying pan into a blazing fire!! Especially this one clerk who didn't seem to know what she was doing most of the time and also seemed to resent MOST of the customers asking for help or refills or was their prescriptions ready - and often her screwing up or forgetting or making some other mistake? God help the customer getting flustered after the 3, 4, 5th thing she appeared to have "forgotten" to do or did wrong. When it's heart or B/P meds it can be quite scary if she forgot to do something so it still is not ready????? So my daughter told me about HER CVS at 5420 Dewey Dr. in Fair Oaks. We went in together. WOW!!! They are so patient, so sweet, so accommodating, don't mind all the questions I ask (because I am allergic, seriously, to at least the 25+ drugs I react to - from a mild case of the hives to, most of the time, anaphylactic shock. They even explained to be careful of changing a med since a doctor not in communication with my regular doctors ordered something related to something I'm already very allergic to. I was so grateful for the heads up and discussed it with my regular doctor, him ordering an unrelated option. I just LOVE all the people that work at the CVS Pharmacy on Dewy Drive. They actually know what they are doing and ay attention to it, as well - something i have not had since Tom sold Pucci's to someone I feel is little more than a cold-blooded robot/computer who not only never smiles, is always grouchy, but makes some mistakes that are dangerous - including, a couple, maybe more times, putting the wrong drug into my bottle marked as being my heart or B/P meds. Had to return it and get the right drug. Good thing I checked to make sure it wasn't unfamiliar-looking just because it was from just a different company, wasn't it. One woman who works here was extremely helpful to me and saved me about $200 on a prescription. Everyone else I have dealt with has been AWFUL. Maybe they hate their jobs. Stacy has treated me like I'm inconveniencing her several times, and always uses a condescending tone. Today I spoke with a pharmacist because I think I'm having withdrawal symptoms since they couldn't refill my prescription when it was due a few days ago. I called to ask about how to go about resuming my medication. I asked if it would be a good idea to break up my daily dose, and she said no. She told me to go to an ER, because she didn't know my symptoms or how severe they are. I didn't understand why she didn't just ask me about them. I called a different pharmacy, and the pharmacist there recommended that I split up my dose, just like I'd thought. It's really not that hard to be helpful. read more

Ridiculously and intolerably slow!! Walked in at 8pm and didn't get my prescriptions until 9:45 after I was told 25-45 minutes. I went up to the counter to check on it after waiting an hour to learn they hadn't even filled it! The pharmacist was so busy helping everyone in the drive thru (and by helping I mean taking orders and then not filling things). I told him I had been waiting an hour with sick kids and a sick husband in the car and his response "everyone is sick". Thanks a lot. Real compassionate. I'm sure everyone has their entire sick family in the car. As one of the only pharmacies open in the area, why on earth do they only have 2 people (1 pharmacist and 1 tech) working from 8 to 10? The pharmacist named Clesen refused to fill my 6 year old daughter's Rx for a cronic illness she suffers from. They had two months to get the insurance billed correct and I had to eventually pay out of pocket. Then after another month of calling, coming down to give them the insurance information over and over, and my daughter passing out because her levels were off, I had enough of them passing the blame on anyone other than themselves and I began to argue with Clesen over the phone, demanding that CVS fill her prescription immediately. He refused based on me arguing with him. We called a layer and they informed us that it is illegal for a pharmacist to refuse filling a medication based on behavior. My daughter is sick and CVS pharmacy took months to fill a sick kid's prescription and then when I demanded that they fill it, they said no. They're going to do this again and I hope the next father will figure out how to get them to stop. We were told in so many words, to take our Rx and go somewhere else because they didn't want to deal with us anymore. read more

If I could give less than a star I absolutely would! Around 8:30 tonight I purchased some hair dye at the orangevale cvs. I PAID CASH! As it turns out, I don't need the dye because my friend had plenty to do my hair. It has just turned midnight, a mere the and a half hours later and Lon, the manager at the Dewey location, refuses to allow me to return this hair dye. I have a cash receipt, boxes unopened she on perfect condition. He lies to me and says their system will not allow returns after ten p.m. confused and frustrated, I leave the store only to be stopped by a very nice, clearly middle eastern man who states that the same manager just processed a return for him not more than five minutes ago! What the @$#! I can't help but scream discrimination, based on who knows what, the fact that I am a female? I'm wearing sweats? What? I go back into the store and ask Lon why was he able to return the gentleman's things but told me the system would not allow my return. He then days it was because I purchased at the orangevale location. Wtf?! Did I mention that I have a CASH RECEIPT and the transaction was for less than $30? I have NEVER taken the time to write about any horrible experience at a store but I will be calling and writing to anyone and everyone I can think of about this outrageous, discriminatory, experience. I truly hope that the higher ups at this compant I realize that they have some seriously uniformed, members of their management team behaving in such a unethical manner. I was very polite upon entering the store and even polite when I was told I couldn't be helped. There was absolutely no reason to lie to me. One of the most unpleasant experiences with a pharmacy I have ever had. I had used Walgreens, Kaiser and Safeway with above average experiences. However, due to my Medicare offering only CVS as a close provider, I had to use them. They have made several mistakes on my refills and always act as if the fault is either mine or the doctor's office. They have been rude, unhelpful and uncaring not only to me but others I have talked with. I would never recommend them as they do not help customers with questions and only want to push you along and get rid of you. Shame on them! I can only hope that my Medicare provider will offer any of the other three listed above as a pharmacy to use for the best prices. Ugh! read more

I dropped off my prescription at 1:00 and they said the pharmacist was on lunch and would not be back for for forty five min, and to come back at three. So I come back at the appointed time and the lady at the counter says that she couldn't find my Rx That no one put it in the system and I would have to come back in 30 more min. Very very irritated at this point and need my meds because I'm extremely uncomfortable. So I go back again third time have to wait in a looong line and finally get my RX. This poor gentleman was waiting in line as well he had been waiting for over 45 min & was very irate & so he took his RX elsewhere. This pharmacy is very unprofessional, with so many workers behind the counter how hard is it to fill Prescriptions in a timely manner & send people on their merry lil way. I tried to fill my prescription online through the cvs website. I filled them Friday and the scheduled pick up time was for Saturday late afternoon. Well I didn't get around to pick it up by Saturday so i went Sunday night. Somehow the prescription hadn't been filled I explained I had done it online and it hadn't gone through. They told me it would be about 15 minutes to fill so I parked and walked next door to Safeway. Right after entering Safeway I get a text saying it's ready. When I eventually go back over there, the line is ridiculous and they weren't even short staffed. There were only 2 associates helping and about 5 people back there. We waited for awhile and when I explained the situation again, they tried to say that it was probably an issue with my insurance and that's why it didn't work online. I proceeded to say that I have gotten this prescription before and there has never been a problem but he proceeded to argue with me. I also have an issue anytime I try to use my cvs card it won't come up with my phone number even though it use to. read more

This is in follow up to my review yesterday on November 21st. I went back to pick up my prescriptions that weren't ready yesterday. I decided to use the outside drop off/pick-up window using one's car. There was one car there when I arrived and I saw the patron's arm reaching out to the window. 15 minutes later, I got out of my car to see what was happening inside as there were now three cars behind me and I was trapped. The person in the car in front of me was very polite and let me know her prescription was being filled. (not she had been there at least 15 minutes. Obviously the pharmacy stuff will fill a prescription while the person is waiting in their car, keeping everyone else in line. It is obvious that the pharmacy management could care less about their patients. Such sad statement about our delivery system today. read more

I had to go to a 24 hour pharmacy but few were open. It was 11:30 at night and I called ahead of time because I wasn't sure how to use the drive through. They answered the phone quickly and the pharmacist answered all of my questions and was very polite. It took about 30 minutes to fill the prescriptions. The location also seems safer than the other CVS pharmacies or other pharmacies that were in my area. read more

Don't bother trying to get any help from this pharmacy. Apparently they're too busy to be of service to anyone, as we were told by the store clerk on the phone tonight. We called to inquire whether or not they had a certain medication, to be told that they didn't. We then started to ask whether or not they might know of any other CVS that might have it, to which she interrupted us before we could finish asking the question to state that she doesn't have the time to call around and hung up on us before we could even reply. In contrast, another pharmacy went out of their way to help us locate the urgent med that we needed, and we are forever grateful. CVS could take some lessons from them. read more
