Staff members all give conflicting info on medications and policies. Super frustrating when not even the pharm manager gives accurate info and is contradicted by a pharmacist. Gave me inaccurate info that I passed on to my daughter's physician regarding what he needed to do so basically waisted not just my time by a physicians time as well. The only reason I go here is it seems to be the only pharmacy that consistently has her medication in stock monthly. Seems they have only partial quantity available for some reason the last few times which makes it really inconvenient with a C2. They state that corp does their ordering so someone needs to communicate their stock better with corporate it seems. read more

Absolutely horrible service. Drove far out of the way because it was the nearest one open. When we got there a guy told us that someone would be right with us and 20 minutes later sitting there no one came to help. The old lady behind us got out of her car to get their attention and when she did a lady came up saying that the guy didn't let anyone know he was leaving from the window. She then told us to come back in an hour which already is irritating as I'm not from the area and in a severe amount of pain. Came back over an hour later and talked to her again when she said unapologetically that it would be probably another 20 minutes (meanwhile it's now almost 10pm at that point). When I pulled back around to the window it was a male whom just handed over medication without checking id at any point. He showed absolutely zero remorse for the horrible customer service. Also how dangerous it is that he just handed over my muscle relaxers to my fiancé without checking either ids. Hope they don't get caught and lose their license There were at least 5 other cars that got into screaming matches with them in the 3 times I was in the drive thru. I usually deal with a female employee at the front checkout who is very friendly. Yesterday, I dealt with a dark haired male with a beard. He really needs to learn customer service. No personality at all. Did not greet me or tell me what I owed. Stayed silent the entire time and acted like he hated his job. Drove through today for a COVID test. I want to say the person that assisted may have been new but not sure. It took almost 20 minutes just to pull up my information and type in the information. I've been using this CVS Pharmacy for 5+ years now. It's always been awful, however, it's close to home and open 24 hours, so I just deal with it. After tonight, I'm finally switching pharmacies. My prescriptions are never ready on time. There's a whole waiting area also currently full of people who are also waiting for their prescriptions. The employees don't have any reason except for it "being backed up". My prescriptions were set to be ready over 25 hours ago now. At 1:00PM today they told me that it would be ready within 30 minutes. I'm here again, now, at almost 7:00PM and I was told another 30 minutes... This pharmacy needs a serious renovation and possibly new management. It's completely unacceptable for this many people to be waiting for their prescriptions. It's also unacceptable to wait every single month for late prescriptions. read more

Don't believe ANY of the good reviews for this store. I have foolishly been coming here for years and they have so drastically reduced their staff you are guaranteed a very long wait in the pharmacy. I was the fourth person waiting in line this morning and instead of waiting on customers the two boys behind the counter were completely ignoring all three of us and filling prescriptions instead. I would have understood if someone was waiting in the store but there was nobody else there... Like any CVS, though they take great pains to look the same from location to location, sadly, they are not all made equal. Moreover, there's a duplicity inherent to every one of them: The drug store, and the pharmacy. I have no complaints about the drug store at this location. Everyone has always been friendly, and even taken the effort to save me money on several past visits. Their selection of PDFs and ends is excellent, though prices are a bit on the high side. The pharmacy is another story. While most of the pharmacy staff have been kind, helpful and friendly, there is one pharmacist in particular whose ire I sparked when I had the audacity to come in and request a refill on the 30th day of a 30 day supply. Suffice to say, I managed to get ahold of someone at my provider's office (on a Saturday, no less) who authorized the refill as per previously set expectations. While on the phone with my doctor's office, the pharmacist made an attempt at inferential character assassination, trying to portray me to my provider as a drug seeker. I've never felt so judged in all my life. That's an ugly brush to be painted with, and I'm disappointed in CVS that they've equipped such an individual who asserts their own authority over that of medical doctors and insurance companies both. It amounts to little more than fanaticism, as I see it, which as George Santayana put it, "consists of redoubling your efforts after you have forgotten your aim." This pharmacist appears to have forgotten that many, and I would like to think most of the people she interacts with are there seeking help for a plethora of illnesses, injuries and complaints. I've had a lot of struggles, made a lot of poor decisions, but I've persevered to become a college graduate and professor, a husband, a father and a freelance comic book artist (my dream job since I was nine years old) and I didn't get here because of people like this vigilante pharmacist, but rather in spite of them. I'm leaving two stars because I want to leave this place as I found it. As stated in the beginning, this is the place to go when you need a steno pad, a string cheese and a Red Bull in the middle of the night, but as for filling prescriptions, I'll not be coming back. read more

I'm dumbfounded by their terrible customer service on the phone, the pharmacist was impatient with my interpreter who voiced for me on my videophone (I am deaf) and hung up mid-sentence. My interpreter was shocked by their lack of common decency and I felt discouraged because this was relating to meds for my post-surgery recovery. Worst service at the pharmacy ever. Just don't do it. Told me I couldn't refill my prescription (birth control, nothing crazy) because it was too early. That's not correct, so they said I needed to call my insurance to fix it. Call my insurance, they say CVS is putting it in incorrectly and explain what they need to do. Even gave me a help desk number I could give them to call with issues. Call back, they REFUSE to listen to the steps or retry, say they did it right, even as their description to me is wrong! I even mention the help desk number and they tell me there's no need to call the help desk because they don't need help. I usually try to be extra patient with service employees but this is too much. You're LITERALLY messing with people's lives here! read more

I came in at 5:30pm (a full 3 hours after my doctor appointment) and was told the prescription wasn't filled yet, and to come back in 20 minutes. Fine. I came back to the drive thru at 10:30pm and was told it would be "a moment" before they could help. I waited 15 minutes before leaving. They had at least 3 people in there, and the inside counter was closed, so I was the only customer there. Nobody ever bothered to get my name. If they had, they would have realized my prescription was already filled (in theory...). Clearly CVS doesn't value my time, and I'll be taking my business to Walgreens going forward. read more

whenever I call, no one wants to take the time to answer my questions or look up my information. and they get frustrated when I have to push for them to look up my basic information to inquire on a medication. this morning I called to have a medication delivered. The lady said OK. I will take care of that for you. Thank you and she hung up on me. I never received it so I called this afternoon and it was a huge inconvenience for the person who answered the phone to look into it for me. I was then told that they will no longer deliver my medication's not exactly sure why but whatever.. I didn't even feel comfortable getting into that because the employee that I was speaking to was already frustrated and wanted to get off the phone. The lady who hung up on me this morning if she had just taken one more moment, she would have been able to tell me that my medication wouldn't be delivered today It would've taken two seconds not a big deal. I have issues with this location every single time I try to get a medication refilled or to pick it up. They have a hard time finding them. this afternoon when I called I also asked how long can you hold my medication because I can't get there today and they said 13 to 14 days I said I'm not sure what date it was filled and I got a huge sigh so I just hung up. This used to be my go-to pharmacy, not any longer! Over the past few years service declined as staff changed, now there appear to be more pharmacists on duty than those to help clients. I recently went in for pain medication, the price changes from month to month though the dosage and amount remained the same, so I looked up the price for it on GoodRx and submitted it as my insurance... it was declined. I was told "this store doesn't take discounts for pain medication", I was also told that I had health insurance so that's what I had to use. I could have saved $7 with GoodRx and if it wasn't accepted why would it be listed??? That was the last straw, patients take a backseat to money is not where I want to have my healthcare needs taken care of!! read more

Worst pharmacy ever. I had the unpleasant opportunity to get assisted by Caprice. Her demeanor and the way she talks to people is unacceptable. The line was so long and I kept over hearing that they were short staffed, so it's understandable for the wait in line. My partner had gone in early to pick up some meds for our 2 old that had been diagnosed with bronchitis. He did not come home with one of the meds prescribed by the doctor so I went back. I got to the front of the line at 8:10pm and I explained to Caprice about the missing meds and she looked at me like I was not speaking English. I asked her what info she needed from me then she asked to see my phone. She goes and looks up something on the computer and rudely says "they didn't send it, it's not here" so I ask her if I should call the office who ordered it and she said yes that would be the next step. I step away and call. The office says they don't know why it's not showing up at the pharmacy because it is showing up on their end. They ask if they can do a verbal so I go up to the side and try to kindly get Caprices attention. She was helping someone else and made eye contact with me so I took the opportunity to ask. I stated I was sorry and then asked if my office can call. She rudely says "my pharmacist is doing a vaccine and can't do it right now, have the office call in 15 min". I step away and let the office know over the phone. My office Wants to call before 15 minutes since they closed in about 10 minutes. I tell the office over the phone, "Maybe if you try they might tell you a different answer" and then Caprice Rudely stomps over to where I am standing and tells me with so much attitude "you tell them that they will need to wait 15 minutes because my pharmacist is doing a vaccine". I get taken back but let the office on the phone know again. About 20 minutes go by and I still haven't had an update so I try to get back up in line again to see if my office got through to the pharmacist. Caprice sees that I got back in line and she rudely yells across the line saying that the pharmacist is on the phone and I need to give them a few more minutes. I say OK and then I go back and sit down. Meanwhile, there are other people that are also waiting for their prescriptions and she keeps expediting their wait times and telling them to wait 25 to 30 minutes. I was never given a wait time or an update on if the office phone call got through. She kept calling other peoples names and let them cut the line when she had their meds. I try to get back in line around 8:50pm and she puts her hand up to me and rudely says "it's not ready". I finally heard my daughters name over the speaker at 9:10 PM. I get back in line and Caprice sees me in line. Instead of letting me know that I can come up like she did with previous customers, she makes me wait the whole time behind 5 people. I finally get up to the desk and she says oh your medication is finally ready. I was already very upset, but I decided to stay quiet because I did not want to blow up in front of people. I kindly asked if she could return the instructions for one of the medications that she had taken out of my bag. She then states "oh I put it in the bag , it should be in there". I tell her that it's not in the bag and she continues to fumble through my medicine bag. I then let her look for a few seconds, she kept saying it should be in there. Finally, she decides to step to the computer She took the paper to and surprisingly finds it at the computer where she left it at. She comes back and just gives the excuse that she's tired and I understand. Then she tells another staff member, I'm off someone's going to have to take Over. She doesn't even offer me a consult so I asked her if I could have one. She gets a pharmacist before she leaves and She was never apologetic about my wait. After my consult I confirm with the pharmacist if Caprice was the lady's name. Caprice overhears her name and asks if she had upset me. I say nothing and leave before I lost my cool. Finally left after 9:30pm read more

This being the only 24 hour CVS pharmacy in the Sacramento area, one would think that CVS would have the care and courtesy to staff the pharmacy better at night, when people often have emergencies. I had to leave my sick child at home alone to pick up meds for him. I've been waiting here for over 45 minutes despite his Dr. Calling in the script over 1.5 hours ago. The on staff pharmacist is doing her best but she's swamped and alone. There are six calls on hold and about 8-10 people waiting. This is unprofessional and unsafe. read more

I must say that the customer service at this location is top-notch! I was having such a difficult time getting through to the pharmacy department I was kept on hold for almost 20 minutes and then the call would get disconnected. I repeatedly did this a few more times and then got really frustrated that I wasn't getting through to the pharmacy so I spoke with someone at the front of the store and her name was Elizabeth. Whoever her manager or boss is needs to give her credit because she went above and beyond to help me. I really needed my medication and she told me that she was going to transfer me and if the same issue occurred to call her back and she would assist me. Unfortunately the call didn't go through again so I know for sure it wasn't my phone so I called back and spoke to Elizabeth and she helped me with getting a hold of someone at the pharmacy. She took down all my information including the medication information and I was able to speak with someone in the pharmacy and they were very helpful and then Elizabeth later called me back to see if I was helped and that really made my night! we waited for almost 20 minutes at the window without being greeted or anything. we saw at least 3 different people in walking around and laughing with each other while no one helped us (mind you this was our second time coming back because they told us the medication would take 30 minute). and when the person working the window finally came back we could hear her laughing inside with a coworker still waiting for our medication. when we asked what took so long, she said she was in the bathroom and there was only 2 techs their tonight, lying to us, because as I said we saw 4 workers now including the one working the window. all in all, terrible experience. will not be coming back. read more

This is the worst CVS I have ever used. The wait times for a prescription are absolutely horrendous. I don't know how it's so hard for a company to actually schedule people to handle both inside and the drive through. Plan to spend AT LEAST 30 minutes waiting in line. I never go through the drive through to pick up my prescriptions because I already know how low the drive through is on the priority list for this place. You walk right into the store and get your prescription in less than five minutes but if you're in the drive through with a couple cars in front of you you'll be here for 30 minutes at least. Why offer a drive through if it is not going to be ran efficiently. I had surgery 3 days ago and it's hard to walk so I wanted to go through the drive through to avoid that but instead I have pain sitting in my seat for so long. I just visited my neighborhood CVS. They advertise in the drive through that over the counter medications are available in the drive through. I recently tested positive for Covid, I needed Sudafed to treat the symptoms. I waited in the drive through line, thinking I was being safe not to expose any of my neighbors to this terrible virus. I was met with an unsympathetic person that informed me she could not sell Sudafed through the drive through. Even after I explained my positive Covid status. I was prepared to present my drivers license and pay with my debit card. I understand that people use Sudafed for the wrong reasons. I don't know if this is a CVS policy, if so, it should be reevaluated especially during a world wide pandemic. read more

The drive thru is a joke and you're likely to spend attached least fifteen minutes just waiting to be acknowledged. Longest I've waited in the drive thru without even a "it'll be a minute" was 45 minutes. Today I called in a prescription that was quoted as needing 30mins to prep. I have my prescriptions sent here and for the last year I have had nothing but trouble service and things are even worse. Today, I have had enough. I waited in the drive thru for over an hour... third in line when I got here. I even called the store from the line (which I was stuck in otherwise I would have left) to see what was going on. After, getting to the window they stated my prescription wasn't ready (shocker it never is). They told me to come back in an hour. I came back three hours later and was the only car at the window after waiting 10 minutes to just get spoken to they stated my prescription still wasn't ready. I explained to the this is my second trip already today. This is ridiculous. I have had enough. This isn't worth the drive through I am finding another place to fill my prescriptions. An old man asked tonight why every worker wears their mask under their nose and there was no response. He said his wife is sick and it makes him uncomfortable getting her meds from cvs when he has to worry about the workers not wearing their mask correctly. I'm not even huge on wearing masks either but it's sad he has to worry about getting meds from CVS for his sick, elderly wife and nobody is wearing their mask correctly. What happened to customer service Worst cvs ever I called in to see if my prescription was ready because the lady the day before told me to call and check the status before coming in. I was told that it was never put in the system and would have to wait another 2 days. The lady put me on hold I waited and waited and waited another lady got on the phone and asked how can I help you I told her I was on hold with another lady and she said oh she went to lunch so what can I help with I asked to speak to her boss and she got Mike the pharmacy manager. He didn't get any communication from his employees so he came in blindsided. He asked for my telephone number which wasn't in their system even though I have updated it with them 4 times now. I called headquarters to make a complaint with their regional manager and come to find out my phone number was still not in the system. I got a call back from Mike saying there transferring my prescription to the cvs down the street. I will never give them my business again. This absolutely the worst pharmacy I've been here so many times only to experience long long lines. Now today I went to pick up cough syrup. It was for 240 ml. and they only had a 120 dose. So I get home and have nothing. I called the pharmacy and she told me the situation I said can I have the 120 dose? She said sure be ready in a half hour. My Daughter goes there 3 hours later (long lines again). They said they didn't have the prescription then they said they don't have a drop in the store. This branch is a wreck. I've complained to management but it's obvious that it's not a concern of the company. read more

There was confusion with my husbands meds and she spent quite a bit of time making sure that his pharmacy profile was cleaned up and correct. Warning*** Never fill your prescription at this pharmacy. This horrible cvs filled my prescription when I never asked them to and gave me the wrong medicine at that. They are unwilling to give me the correct medicine or my prescription back so I can get the correct medicine else where.
