I've really only regularly used the pharmacy here. I do really, really like that they are open 24-hours. I also agree with the other review that says they do not harass you over picking up controlled substances. They do answer the phone when you call which doesn't sound like a big deal unless, like me, you have a lot of experience with other pharmacies that will never pick up the phone! The main thing I don't like about the store is that some of the employees that stock shelves and clean up aisles are a bit rude. Sometimes there is a bit of a line for drop-offs which goes into the aisles. Several times I've witnessed employees being extremely agitated or annoyed that the line is interrupting stocking shelves. The solution here is obviously to put together a drop-off line waiting area (like they have for pick-ups) and not to get frustrated with the customers! read more

For a 24-hour CVS they are slower than dirt and are horribly understaffed. There is always a super long line and no one is ever in a hurry. Their management either needs to hire more or find another line of work. I'm one step away from never coming back here. read more

We went in around 11pm on 5/17/17. My girlfriend had awful pain from the wisdom tooth extraction she had the day before. We have the pharmacist. The prescription for percoset to be filled. He went over to his computer for two seconds. Then abruptly said, "we don't have it" and then walked away without saying anything else to be helpful. He was just plain rude and not what i expect from a pharmacist. Also, what reputable pharmacy doesn't stock one of the most common pain medicines on the market? I plan on calling to speak to the manager about his terrible treatment of my girlfriend tomorrow. For shame cvs. For shame. We are now at Walgreens getting her prescription filled by a better class of pharmacist. read more

Great customer service! The pharmacy did not have the hard-to-find brand I needed. The pharmacist called at least 10 different stores at 6:00am to see if it could be found elsewhere. I was treated with great respect and service. read more

Complete shit show. Twice they told me they had my medication in stock only to receive a call back 2 hours later saying they had to order it. When you need a pain medication you simply cannot go without your medication. They ended up transferring my prescription to another location and I had to go out of my way to get it because of their disorganization. I am never getting prescriptions filled here again. This pharmacy is too unreliable. My Mom has had similar issues with them. And they dispensed a liquid medication without a measuring device. read more

Since I don't live near a Walmart, CVS is my go to for personal care products and misc. When I've asked for help looking for something the staff have always been friendly and walked me right to it. Sale items can disappear quickly here so don't wait till the last day of the sale to go pick it up because it most likely won't be there. I do not recommend the pharmacy. I had to have prescriptions filled after I got my wisdom teeth out and the pharmacist refused to call and ask if I could get the generic brands since my insurance doesn't cover the name brand meds prescribed. read more

We were nearby this store two mornings ago and I needed to buy some stuff at CVS, plus I had a 25% discount coupon for non-sale items and a few other coupons that were soon expiring. On the positive side, the store was clean and it's well laid-out. In terms of negatives - and this is an increasing trend with CVS - they really, really want you to use self-check out. However, I happen to not *like* using self checkout - and considering how much money I spend at CVS, I think I've earned the right to have a cashier deal with my purchases (yes, I realize it's much more cost-effective for CVS to employ fewer workers - but I really think it should be a customer's prerogative). There was a guy helping people at the self-checkout (and the whole point about going that route is the issue of some of us not contending with self-checkout very effectively). Anyway; I kept trying to get him to go over to the cash register, but without success - and to be fair, he was obviously required to stay by the self-checkout registers. However; a woman who I'm guessing was the manager was at the photo counter, and she was very *brusque* with me (practically ordering me to use the self-checkout). I told her very pointedly that I wanted someone to ring up my purchases *right there* and she *finally* got that guy to do it. He was fairly pleasant - but still, the whole situation was very annoying. read more

I agree with the other Yelpers here - this place is run down. Bad. It along with the entire facade of the shopping center needs a facelift. I have never had a problem going into that CVS but I would only go there for medicine and of course other items like toiletries. Something about it is just off...I would actually recommend just hitting up the target or going to the Rite Aid right on 29. I think it's a little bit better. read more

This pharmacy is such a clusterfuck. They only have 2 people working in the pharmacy and they both have the attention span of a 5 year old. Nothing is getting accomplished because they keep stopping their tasks to start other ones. They quoted me a much shorter wait time than I actually had to wait, which sucks. Just be honest- if it's gonna be an hour just say it and I'll leave and come back. read more

They told me it would be 15min for my prescription. At 30 I asked when it would be ready, they told me another 20 because they didn't put it in yet. All in all I waited an hour. I would have left if I knew it was going to take that long. They need more people working there. read more

The Pharmacy here is the biggest cluster-f on the face of the earth. I've had to pick up a prescription here once a month for the last six months. All six of those times turned into hour long trips. Service at this CVS is horrible at best, non-existent on most days. The staff at this CVS has routinely ignored me, or stepped away to deal with other customers while checking me out. This type of service is unacceptable for the prices CVS charges. read more

Every time I come to pick up a prescription there is the LONGEST line. And on top of that they couldn't find the record of a prescription I had filled at another cvs in their system - but when I called in to that other pharmacy - it allowed me to do the auto phone refill so I just don't think that the staff here are that aware of how the system works between The pharmacies.... read more

5 day old sale promotions that expired are misleading. After buying items we thought were on promotion because of the sign posted and realizing the sale price was not showing up, the cashier did not blink an eye. Even after we let her know about the expired signs posted with the expiration dates and fine print. Bad customer service. read more

Other than pharmacist the place is the worst CVS I've encountered in the area. No one is hardly ever at the cashier and if someone is they often are not very good. Employees stand near people stressing over the self-check out and hardly ever help. read more

Can I say that the tech Chris lie so well with an attitude! My doctor office called my prescription in and confirmed with me that the Pharmacist Ji said it will be ready for pick up in 30-45min. An hour later I was out there to pick up and the tech Chris said he cannot find anything in the system and sent me to drop off. Went to drop off and they said nothing was in and they have no clue. I checked the doctor office and they confirmed they called in over an hour ago. Drop off sent me back to pick up and again Chris spoke to me as if I can't comprehend that he cannot find any meds for me in the system. He was loud and rude and told me that I need to go back to drop off because there is nothing he can do when I go to a doctor that didn't bother to call in the prescription for me. I called my doctor office and at this time their manager got upset and got on the phone to call in the pharmacist (10min waiting on the phone) then pharmacist Ji picked up and she said she had the prescription there but got back up and didn't put in the system yet but any of her tech would know to tell patient to wait. Needless to say no apologies from Chris because he said it's not his fault that my doctor office doesn't tell me how back up they are. Making sense? Not at all to me but they don't need anyone business so why have to perform to standards. read more

One does not simply "pop in" to pick up a prescription here--you better have some time carved out to wait. I don't know if it's an issue of being understaffed, poor organization, or what but picking up a prescription here is a terrible, time-sucking experience. The CVS in general is fine, though their refrigerated section seems regularly on the fritz so it's probably best to avoid picking up anything that should be kept cold. Back to the pharmacy... the pharmacists are very nice and polite but don't listen well. They've repeatedly put my name in incorrectly while searching for my pick-up even as I pointed out the errors they seemed confused. Once the wait in line is over, once they've spelled your name correctly in their computer, it's smooth sailing from there but until that point it's a painful, frustrating experience. I would recommend another location for prescription needs while this one is fine for your more basic, immediate (non-refrigerated) needs. read more

This might have been the worst experience at a CVS I've ever had. I just had my tonsils out on Monday and on Wednesday I had called my doctor to call in a different prescription. Well, that was around 2p. We get to CVS around 6p and wait in line for about 25 minutes before we even get to someone. Once I get there, I had to spell my name twice before he finally got me to write it down to find it -- it's only four letters long, not really a tough one to find. He comes back and lets me know that the prescription isn't ready yet -- if I could just step to the side it would be ready in about 5 minutes. I asked if I was going to have to wait in the ungodly line again, but luckily I was going to be spared that terrible trauma. It does only take about 5 minutes, but the prescription had been there for around 4 hours -- what was the issue with filling it in such a time period?? Just to warn anyone -- don't head to that CVS for some meds, drive a little farther and wait wayyyy less. read more

Takes forever to get an Rx filled at night. Nobody in line, pharmacist is playing with organizing trays and eating a snack and ignoring the line that is forming at drop off. Will go to Vienna next time -- further away, but they are always fast. read more

out of all the CVS Pharmacy stores that i have been to in the DC area, this one (Store #1411 in Yorktown Center) is by far the WORST. I don't really have a problem with the store itself, but the Pharmacy is just awful. I don't understand - - do they hire these people who work in the pharmacy off the street or are they students with no experience? It's mind boggling the type of people they hire. People who have no customer service skills whatsoever. And what is really confusing to me is that this CVS Pharmacy has been at this location for ages (I remember when it was a "People's Drugstore" before they change the name to CVS Pharmacy") and still they don't realize that the busiest times are from 5PM-7PM when people are getting off of work and stopping in to get their prescription. For some reason, the pharmacy workers don't get that this is these are the busy hours and they have 1 person working the register. while 3 other pharm techs are standing around computers scratching their heads while a line of 10+ people are waiting to get their meds. unbelievable. the rudeness, the lack of concern (we're not just customers, we're patients), and just plain ignorance and disrespect is appalling. this CVS pharmacy (store #1411) also CALLED my house and left a message saying that my Rx was ready for pick up. I drive to the pharmacy after work around 6PM, wait in line and then when i get to the register, they tell me that the Rx isn't there. I tell them that THEY CALLED MY HOME telling me to come pick up my Rx. Instead of apologizing, the idiot girl just nods her head and doesn't say a word, all the while not even making eye contact with me. This is the last time I ever do business with this pharmacy. These pharmacy people don't know how to deal with customers. If any problem/issue comes up, they seem to totally disregard the customer, ignore them, don't communicate with them and just talk amongst themselves. They are pharmacists and they do not know how to communicate with people. Why the hell are they working in pharm? read more

No complaints here. The store is fine inside and clean and they have everything. The store does need a whole redo on the exterior however CVS has nothing to do that along witb any of the other stores here. read more
