    Very disappointing. My parents needed a Covid test for their cruise, so I booked them here. First of all, it was annoying that I couldn't book them both at the same time. They're senior citizens, and not great at computers, so I had to make their appointments and you can't just make two appointments at the same time. I made the appointments a few days before because, obviously, you don't want to risk not having results before a cruise. Then, the night before their test, I got a message saying the tests were canceled because the CVS was closed due to a weather emergency! What? Too much beautiful August weather? I called the store and worked through their crazy phone-tree system for a long time, finally getting a human who said, no, they weren't closed, and no, she didn't know why I got that message, but they don't "do the tests" and if I have a question I should call Quest Diagnostic. Ok, can you give me that number? "I don't know, you can google it?" I went through the appointment system again and made new appointments for my parents (this time their appointments were 4 hours apart but we decided to just show up for the earlier time and hope for the best.) Luckily, they didn't get canceled so the non-existent weather issue must have cleared up somehow. Anyway, we got to the store and it was completely empty inside. Like, is anyone working here? I have no idea. My parents have to check in on a computer kiosk. Again, they're old, so I end up doing that too. Then they sit around. We literally don't see any staff in the store. After a while, we see a pharmacist in the back, then a care provider comes out of one of the little offices. It was just so weird. I guess I'll ask the obvious question, but don't they have a theft problem not having any staff in the retail areas of the store? Is the staff just hiding? Because they are certainly not cleaning. I was going to sit with my parents and wait for their test but the waiting area was filthy, and I didn't know how long the wait would be, so I went to the Safeway across the street to save some time and get some groceries. It was a good thing I saved time by multi-tasking because nearly 90 minutes later, my parents had their "15-minute" test results printed and were ready to go on their cruise. Next time we would absolutely find somewhere, anywhere, else to go!

Jin's consultations have been handled with genuine care and attentiveness, a refreshing change from the typical rush-in, rush-out pharmacy experience. She takes the time to walk me through my medications and has even helped ensure I can get my prescriptions continuously filled without any gaps. And besides, customer service at Fred Meyer's is somewhat lacking. Jin quickly took my personal information to put me on her customer list. Very small business located about two blocks west of PAC Hwy. Jin indicates they offered competitive prices. While waiting for my info to be transferred, a customer stated I would like the personal service received at Onuri. She's been coming for a while and has always been treated well. Good enough for me. A good review/suggestion by a complete stranger.

The biggest issue for me is consistency. Almost every time I walk into a CVS, I struggle to find the item I came in for because the shelves are either partially stocked, completely empty in certain sections, or the inventory system says something is available when it actually isn't. At times, it genuinely feels like the stores are just being maintained rather than actively improved or fully supported operationally. And unfortunately, the customer service experience often reflects that same energy. It's rare that I walk into a CVS location and encounter employees who seem genuinely happy, supported, or engaged. I'm not even saying that critically toward the staff themselves because honestly, it feels bigger than individual employees. It feels like there may be pressure from corporate expectations, staffing shortages, impossible metrics, burnout, or operational stress that eventually trickles down into the customer experience. But customers feel it. The worst experiences I've personally had tend to happen at the pharmacy counters, where interactions can sometimes come across rushed, cold, dismissive, or lacking empathy altogether. And when someone is already stressed, sick, or simply trying to locate an item they need, that type of environment makes the experience even more frustrating. My most recent visit was honestly simple: I walked in looking for a specific item and couldn't find it. But what stood out wasn't just the missing product -- it was the overall atmosphere. The store felt disconnected from the actual customer experience. Retail today is competitive, and customers notice when businesses stop feeling welcoming or fully functional. I've left positive reviews for many businesses because I believe in recognizing good service when it's deserved. I also understand retail is difficult right now. But I also believe companies need to revisit employee support, staffing, inventory management, and customer service culture because people absolutely notice when those things decline. At the end of the day, customers don't expect perfection. They just want to feel helped, acknowledged, and able to find what they came in for.

She responds very rudely and says "well what do you need!?" So I say, "there is no need for attitude, I was in line." I tell her that I needed a Plan B. She then says very loudly (now I'm not embarrassed to buy plan B) "Plan B!? Do you have a prescription!?" Now I didn't even know you could get it prescribed but that's another question for another time. But I told her that I do not. "She then says "you have to ask Target for Plan B. We don't have it." I then found the contraception aisle and it was there. All this terrible woman had to say was "oh it's in that aisle right there next to the pharmacy". Not to mention"go ask Target". Terrible customer service. What if I had been some teenage girl who needed the medication because she made a mistake or god forbid was raped!? Would she talk to the girl like that? My step daughter is 18 and I would lose my shit if she came home and told me she was treated like this. I will be moving all of my pharmacy needs from CVS because this interaction was absolutely absurd and her attitude was unwarranted. If I could give zero stars I would.

Lolo called the older lady a "stupid f***ing b*tch" because she couldn't move her car right away. Then we went to talk to a manager because that should be a fireable offense. All the manager said was that he would talk to her about because it was unacceptable behavior. He also agreed that she should be fired cause it was not the first they had problems with her. But the next time we went there Lolo was still there. Other than that, there are a lot of nice workers who are willing to help when you can find them. I spoke with her after an atrocious time at the Renton Walmart that left me frustrated because the online item I bought was defective. I initiated the return online per Walmart directions. I got an email that said just scan this code and bring the item to ANY Walmart for a refund. Ok simple right? Not! The Renton store CS did take back the item. In fact they got a reply claiming my payment for item was unsupported. I was in turmoil trying to decide which Walmart store to make a second attempt returning the item. I felt I should call this Federal Way store and I'm so happy I listened to my gut and called because this lead me to the employee Toni Bernard! Toni listened and immediately knew and told me all they needed to do was this and this. Oh My Gosh, she knew exactly what to do! She took charge made calls was a go between for me and Walmart Corporate While waiting on the line for her to come back I receive a text saying "Good news..." and I see I have been sent a refund! In addition Marc at Corp Walmart sent me a hard copy label via snail mail when he was told I do not have a printer nor transportation. Talk about exceptional service! She works at the Federal Way, WA Walmart store that is closing on 31 October 2025. I feel people like her are being sent out in the world so people know good people doing the jobs of Angels do exist! Wow! She is Amazing! I'd even go as far as calling her an ANGEL!
