Every single person in this pharmacy is patient, pleasant and helpful. No matter how busy they get, they are always willing to go the extra mile.I have worked in retail and I don't know how they keep their cool, people are so annoying! Yeah came in here late at night to pick up a toothbrush and some random stuff, line was pretty long considering the time because of only 1 person at the counter, the self check out machine was broken with weird half done transactions and nobody was doing anything about it. i saw another customer ask the manager who walked by to fix the machines and she ignored him and just put a finger up ("give me a minute") RUDE, speak to your customers, "i understand, i'll be back in a minute to take care of it" would suffice, putting a finger up?! wtf you're not my mama! she eventually came back and reset both machines to get them working, shouldn't someone be keeping an eye on these things?! the two machines were both out for a solid 15 minutes or so until she reset them, unacceptable! they do have some cheap leftover holiday stuff for sale though, really good deals on those, but that's about it as far as the positives go! read more

This place had me and my 71 yr/o mother use the restroom at the back, then be approached by this cranky "I-know-everything-I-am-superior" lady and told us we're NOT supposed to use that restroom because it's only used for people to test for covid. There were absolutely NO signs, NO blockage or whatsoever. And she kept following us and spraying anti bacterial spray our every trail. I Frequent this store to help my mother. They're usually aren't very many cashiers and be Prepared to to have a nightmare at the cashier if you're getting your prescription drug. In addition to other items that have discounts that need to be over written. I waited for a manager and they had to process the transaction 4 times absolutely ridiculous. The staff is not properly trained including the pharmacist regarding cash register transactions. This is one of the nicer CVS stores in the area as it has been remodeled. I usually find everything I'm looking for, albeit the prices are a little higher than Target or Walmart, for similar items. I'm writing this review because of the service I received from Susan on Friday January 6th. I returned an item, unopened, with the receipt and expected a no problem refund. Susan immediately told me she didn't think I could return the item because it was a Christmas item and they had already been marked on sale. I printed out the item was unopened and my receipt stated I had until February 14th. Susan looked up and down the receipt and then said 'oh you didn't get this here, you got it at another CVS'. I asked if that was a problem. Susan said 'Let me see if I can return it'. She scanned the receipt and the item, and then picked up another scanner and scanned the item with that scanner. She finished the transaction and laid the receipt on the counter and said 'next time return it to the store where you got it'. What? That isn't anywhere in the CVS return policy. I guess she just does not like returning merchandise. I plan on contacting the store just to let someone know what happened. read more

So awful this pharmacy. Seriously so slow and nobody here seems to care. Or pay attention. Walked in and handed my prescription. Without even looking at it said "put your address and date of birth". It was already on there. Then after it was ready they charged it to the wrong insurance. Now I cannot pick it up and need to make another trip tomorrow, next week, month, or whenever these people can remove their heads from their posteriors. And the same guy had the gall to tell me it wasn't his fault, but the insurance. No, Forrest, it is your fault because you didn't pay attention to anything. I didn't have a problem with this CVS, unlike many of the reviewers. However, I didn't fill a prescription, which seems to be the main source of the bad reviews. I came in to see if I could find Babyganics sunscreen, and a kid-friendly, organic, non-fluoride toothpaste. The sunscreen they had. The toothpaste, they did not. They mostly had Crest and Colgate, and a kid's toothpaste shaped like a crayon. My toothpaste needs went unsatisfied, and I had to resort to ordering my organic non-fluoride toothpaste from Amazon. However, I kind of feel like this CVS should carry organic non-fluoride toothpaste, because they are located in Irvine, an area full of fussy parents who buy things like organic toothpaste. Ive only been here a few times, always for something specific. Each time I have had to ask where something is, and the employees are generally helpful. You are only allowed to purchase a certain amount of gift cards in one day as well - I think the maximum is $200... I honestly dont remember. I had to go down the center to Ralphs for the remainder... I needed over $1000 worth for a company holiday party raffle. This is the only store I know that has the limit. read more

I gave a prescription for painkillers from the doctor at noon today to the pharmacy leader, and he told me to write down the address on the prescription and asked me not to give a pen. When the hospital issued a prescription, only the date and name of the birth were written, not the address. I don't know if it's CVS' policy or rule, but I was my first experience at the pharmacy of CVS. Today, CVS here is a drugstore that I often use near my home. I would have understood if he had asked for an ID without giving me a pen when he asked for it. I have a prescription that needed to be filled 5 days ago but due to it not being in stock, it got pushed til today. Now this! Tried calling so I can get an idea of how long it will take but no one is picking up. There are lights on in the store and several people pissed off trying to get in but door is closed. He told me I had to go to the 24 hour cvs pharmacy. So I had to go out of my way to the pharmacy and come to find out it will only take 10-15 minutes to get my prescription. This has been my pharmacy I picked up medicine from for almost a decade, but I noticed the more times that I go here, the more rude the workers are over there. I've also noticed that this last year and so, I've seen the workers over there show their true colors. In the past, a lot of workers over there are pretty nice and chill. However, this blonde white lady who works at the pharmacist counter, who I believe is named Nancy, showed a lot of impatience and anger towards me. I've seen her work there for a long time, and I've never seen this side of her until now. I was picking up medicine for my dad, who just got out of the hospital, and after they grabbed his medicines, I confirmed with another worker, who is named Anthony, if that was all the medicine that the hospital sent for my dad, and he said that there's one medicine on hold. So, Anthony then told me for medicines on hold, I can go to the drop-off counter to speak to someone at the pharmacist counter about why my medicine is on hold. I was able to speak to someone about that, and they weren't sure what was going on with it, so that's when this Nancy lady stepped in. She told me that the medicine is on hold because it's not covered. After that, I asked her questions like why the medicine is not covered and if they can call the hospital to switch to another medicine, but every time I asked these questions, Nancy keeps raising her voice in an angry way. After seeing her attitude towards me, Nancy doesn't seem so passionate and patient to work over here. Same thing goes with this short Mexican guy who works there. Anthony was cool with me tho. If you work somewhere and even if you don't like it there, don't try to take your anger out on a CUSTOMER instead. Speak to your boss or manager about why you're so frustrated working over here. Maybe, I should just call her "Negative Nancy" from now on. Overall, customer service at this location seems to get worse and worse as every year goes by. The pharmacy treats its clients well but the head pharmacist was so rude to her staff. She told one gal " you're gonna be in big trouble tonight" and then said to another worker " you're my favorite good job!l" Clients get excellent service And I learned from the general manager the pharmacist is noted to be the top pharmacist in the region BUT she's getting that recognition at the expense of mistreating her staff! I purchased 2 Nordstrom gift cards for $100 each. Cashier activated them and I gave them to my daughters for Christmas. Neither card worked. It appeared that someone may have tampered With the packaging to write down the code then resealed it. After many hours with phone calls to CVS and Nordstrom, CVS stated that gift cards are not refundable and that I was out of luck. No refund. I accidentally left my car keys in the restroom and went to retrieve them. I had to wait. After ten minutes I knocked on the door and simply asked if they saw my keys. There was no answer. I waited longer and knocked again, no response. My daughter came to me because at this point it was near 20 minutes. Finally a worker comes out, hands me my keys and tells me she doesn't answer the door like she is at home when she is in the restroom at work. Her attitude was condescending, and completely out of line. I told her I was worried I would have been stranded with my daughter. Then she tells me she told the front cashier. Well I had asked the pharmacy. Why couldn't she just be polite and say "Yes I see them, just a second." I know it was my fault for leaving them, but that rudeness was very unnecessary. 5 stars for the pharmacy. I've never had any problems with this pharmacy. They are very busy but also very efficient. Sometimes they smile, but most of the time they are concentrated on getting you the correct medicine. They have caught several allergies on the prescriptions and notified my doctors; they let me know when a prescription is not covered by my insurance. Overall I'm happy with this pharmacy. If I can give this place ZERO STARS, I would. It's a guaranteed BAD DAY whenever I go to this CVS pharmacy. There's always something either missing from my prescription, from their medicine supply, or just terrible staff who are incapable of what they are paid to do. 1st visit: Made me wait 30 minutes to "check" if they had my prescription. This was with one other person in line. Told me to come back the next day. 2nd visit: Came back the next day, still didn't have my prescription. Everyone there was confused and said "Well, if should have arrived." Told me to check again the next day. 3rd visit: Made me wait almost 1 hour for my prescription that was "misplaced." 4th visit: For a different prescription (someone should have slapped me for giving this place yet another try), they made me wait 30 minutes, told me to call my insurance on the "PHARMACY" line to give them instructions. The guy on the other side said what they were asking was common knowledge, and was quite simple. They still didn't get it. At the end of the convo, they were beyond flustered by their own incompetency and told me my prescription wont be ready for another 2 hours. 5th visit: 2 hours later, made me wait 20 minutes just to grab my prescription from behind the counter. I seriously want to strangle everyone there. PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, IF YOU'RE NOT GOING TO SERVE THE COMMUNITY, JUST OPEN ANOTHER DAISO AND GTFO CVS!! UGH. read more

I think the employees here (excluding the pharmacy department) are some of the grumpiest people around. I go here because it's convenient for me, but I never look forward to shopping here if I don't also have a prescription to pick up. In that case, I can just pay for everything at the pharmacy. Otherwise, I know to expect grumpy cashiers who seem to resent you coming to pay for your items, and who don't answer when you say "hello" or "how are you" or even "thank you." The irony of it is, they installed automatic checkout stations not too long ago. I'd rather talk to those machines than the people behind the front counter, but the stations are often out of order. Go figure. If they see this post they'll probably get mad. But they already treat me like crap, so I figure it couldn't get much worse. read more

Ahh...hate this place. Customer Service is extremely bad. Every time I have to go in here, I dread it. I try to avoid coming here as much as possible. Everyone is extremely slow and don't seem to care about you. It is very disorganized here, as in, there is no proper line. All the customers just stands around. One time, my dad was extremely upset because he was waiting in line for a long time. There were about 10 people waiting around to be helped and only 1 register open. Then a lady finally opened another register. She called the person in front of my dad all the way at the photo center counter. Then my dad and others followed to the newly opened register. When she was done helping the person in front of my dad, it was my dad's turn. The lady said, "Go back! I didn't call you". But there were others that followed my dad as well. She was really rude. Seriously, how can you talk to your customers like that. The only reason why I come here is because they have a fast photo print machine. Other than that, no thanks. I think using the self-checkout machine would be even faster. But too bad, they don't turn it on. I would put a long rant here about how unbelievably retarded health insurance in America is. But I'll spare you the details. I have a high deductible PPO which means I have to pay out of pocket for everything and drug prices are insane. When I found out my doctor prescribed me a drug to try and it was $185 for GENERIC, I was floored. I did some research and found goodrx.com which gives a discount card and find that CVS had it for $70. Except that CVS is the shittiest pharmacy ever to exist on earth. First of all, they are really slow. I waited 45 minutes for my prescription (with 3 technicians working and no one else dropping off prescriptions) whereas my normal pharmacy only takes 10 min. They are also not very knowledgeable. And they act like you're such a disservice to them for being there. I have never seen such unenthusiastic people working in a pharmacy. read more

Let me explain how. I ran in here to purchase a few items and to get some quick cash. I bought over $30.00 worth of merchandise and then asked the checker if I could get $60.00 cash back. "No only $35.00 is allowed" she told me. Well, O.K....whatever. I proceed to punch in my pin number and then and ONLY then did I find out that CVS charges $1.99 for cash back. WHAT???? What an utter RIP OFF!!! CVS makes a ton of money, there is no need to rip off customers like this. I went through with the transaction only because I needed some cash for the car wash guy at work. If I had known this, I would have gone to Ralph's next door. I HATE being nickled and dimed like this! $1.99 might not seem like a lot of money, but $1.99 here, $1.99 there etc can really add up over the course of a year. I watch every dollar like a hawk and the checker should have told me about the fee when I asked about cash back. You know what, even if I were a multi millionaire I would be upset at this policy. Very rude customer service. I was at the first of the line, and the cashier told me to wait for another employee. That's ok, I went to the photo counter to wait b/c I just need to pick up my photos. Unlike the other reviews. I had a pleasant visit to this location. An employee named Guy, yes his name really is Guy! He had such an amazing personality. He literally yelled out to greet me while helping another customer and once I was ready to pay he helped me. He was very welcoming and has such great pizzazz! Keep up the great work Guy! I asked the pharmacy worker, kindly, for my vaccine record of having received my flu shot last year at CVS. She cut me off when I spelled my name for her, she stated I was wrong and that it was only a store to store record system, and literally said, "I don't know what you are looking for." ??? Once she realized she could access it and print it (which is absolutely a service they provide), she proceeded to print it out and just hand it to me without checking for my identification. This is a HIPPA violation. It's protected healthcare information that they should have confirmed my identification first before giving it me. Yikes. read more

I have to agree with previous reviews about the lack of customer service at this location. I always seem to get the same associate, and her attitude is horrible every time, with no hello, no eye contact, no thank you. She doesn't use complete sentences either, so it's up to me to clarify exactly what she's requesting or commenting on, e.g. "Credit card" Credit card what? Do you want me to swipe it myself, give it to you, or are you asking if I'm using one vs. a debit card? "Here" Here what? Are you giving me the receipt to keep, or am I supposed to sign this and give it back to you (if so, I'll need a pen), or something else entirely? She'll bag the items and then just leave the bag on the counter and call the next person over. Gee, thanks, it was a pleasure completing this transaction with you too. I've worked retail, and I understand that there are times/days you just don't want to be there or deal with people. But a smile and some eye contact go a long way to giving good customer service. And a bit of pep in your step doesn't hurt. The only reason I go back to is because of the convenience of the location. read more
