Been open for a while but I had not had a reason to stop in. I was heading out to visit some friends and since I was getting gas at the shell station next door I headed in to grab some beer. I walked in and the place was empty. I was sure that they head the doors open so I walked over to their well stocked cooler and grabbed a 12 pack of Modelos at a very decent price. I then walked towards the cash registers and waited and waited and finally had to go looking for someone to ring me up. I found the one employee at the rear of the store stocking some shelves. She proceeded to ask if I had rung the bell? "what bell" I asked and she pointed out that next to one of the 4 or 5 registers was a bell and a sign that said to ring for service. Really??? OK So I give them good points for being clean, convenient and well stocked...but they loose points for not having a better method or keeping an eye on the registers. read more

Yay, there's finally an uber convenient store, walking distance to the folks residing near the hustling-&-bustling Los Alamitos Blvd. & Katella Ave., unlike where Rite-Aid is... So far, since its opening Sunday, August 22nd, the staff was very welcoming & extremely helpful. I only walked to CVS to buy a couple of items--so I don't have to waste gas driving to Vons or Target =P, & all of the workers unhesitatingly offered me pleasant service with where certain items are located. For instance, I saw a sign near the entrance that said, "Sale! Bread for $2.50," & kindly asked the retailer where the breads were & which of these were on sale. Since he was unsure, after minutes of getting the answer from the manager, we both found out that the sign was an error, & thus offered me that $2.50 deal for the mishap. :D Sweet! Conclusively my review is purely for location, service & cleanliness--I hope that friendly service will be the same in the Pharmacy section & later on since its establishment. I had forgotten my thyroid and blood pressure meds. Wasn't feeling to good and I live in Az. Was visiting family, so I explained to the pharmacist attendant this evening on Wens and she was the kindest patient, person who looked up the info and was able to help in every way. She even had the time to smile and ask if there was anything else she could do and this was at the end of the evening on a Wens. I know during the holidays, lines get long, people are ill with flu's, colds and aches from the rainy weather, Ect.. humanly we all get burned out. But this Dept here deserves 5 stars, this particular CVS and that particular lady. I'm sorry I didn't get her name but she was handling the pharmacy cashier at 8pm better than most. I'm trying not to be one of those people, however I have to be. I've tried to get my disabled child's rx in the drive thru on two separate occasions now. Having to leave both times due to the wait being over 40 mins. My son cannot go inside due to his condition, and we have a hard time waiting so long in line. I don't feel like it's appropriate to have covid testing in the RX drive thru, where people need to pick up their live saving prescriptions. The covid testing is holding up the line to unbearable wait times. read more

Go there for the medication but please go anywhere else for groceries. I got an average size Box of cereal that cost $7! And a large Listerine that was almost $10. Complete highway robbery. The pharmacists are wonderful and they do a great job but all the other pricing in the actual store is very overpriced. You're better off going to Target or Ralph's read more

Horrible pharmacy service. We transferred our prescription to this location from Rite Aid on an auto refill. Our prescriptions are never ready on time. Pharmacists would always ask us to return the next day because they are too busy to fill it, and if I wanted to wait for it, I have to wait for over 1 hour. My doctor also sent them another electronic prescription, and the pharmacist told me they did not receive it. I called my doctor's office and they confirmed that the prescription was already sent 2 days ago. Do not use this CVS pharmacy location. Poor management, poor customer service, inefficient - they are horrible! read more

I'm sorry to see that the reviews on here are not higher. I absolutely love this pharmacy. The staff here is 90% genuinely nice and always seem happy. There is only one worker that always seems upset but that doesn't seem to bother the others. The staff is very discreet when they talk about your medications. I even bought extra strength Tylenol once and she was whispering the whole time about what it does and the side effects lol. I absolutely love them. However, I am giving them 4 stars because I always get text messages saying my prescriptions are ready and when I go to pick them up they are not. This doesn't happen all the time but often enough for me to notice it. Overall the staff is great, the wait time is average. I don't know what is going on with the text thing but that needs to be fixed. Make sure you call to see if it's ready before you go. read more

I think as far as pharmacies go, this one is as good as it gets (although I have never filled a prescription there). I love how it's conveniently located on my side of the street when driving to the freeway to a birthday party or some event for which I normally would need to get a card. It's clean, well stocked, but not cluttered. Parking is ample. I really don't mind ringing a little bell to get a cashier to help me. Seriously, it's not that big of a deal. read more

World's best pharmacy, hands down. We are totally sold. Had 5 days of trouble connecting with our doctor for a VERY important Rx refill.... The dr. Moved from office to office for several days, with all front desks giving us different advice. Finally, they gave us a fax number and said the pharmacy had to send them the refill info. So we called CVS and they said they would. The also asked for the doctor's phone number to follow up about the fax. We kept calling every hour or two and CVS said they left several messages and we're waiting to hear back. Finally, at least 7 hours later, I called the doctors office and said I was checking on an important refill. They asked if the last name was mine, and said, "yeah, the pharmacy faxed us like 100 times, we will take care of it, ok?" Ok. I smiled and felt relief. 2 hours later, CVS called and informed us the prescription was ready for pick up. Thank you so much. read more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE IMAGINABLE!!! Take your business elsewhere! For the 2 time, my online order for photos "could not be found", after I received a call that my photos were ready for pick up. To top it off, the CVS staff member who blithely informed me "I can't find them" after a brief 30 second search (Alma), then walked away to wait on 6 customers before returning back to me to say "we don't have your pictures". I told the clerk I had received n a call several days earlier (from a person at the store) who told me the order was in. I also told her that it was rude to walk away from me to help other customers while my request was dismissed. read more

So i decided to get an ice cream sandwich saw the price tag and it said $0.99 even the ice cream sandwich had a price sticker with the price $0.99. Went up to the register and it wouldn't scan. The clerk tried a few times and asked if i still wanted the item and said i would have to wait. I declined and walked out whats the use of a price sticker. read more

Worst service ever. Not enough staff. The manager wouldn't take the time to assist or answer my question. Too busy fiddling with the photo machine to even turn around and assist the 3 of us waiting. When she did eventually turn around she acted all surprised like where did you all come from. Thank goodness this isn't my regular cvs because this one is awful. read more

Incompetent pharmacy. How many mistakes can you make in one visit? If my insurance didn't require it I'd never come back

I've been going to this pharmacy for about eight years but today I'm done! Today I went to fill a prescription for my husband he needed Norco painkillers because he crushed his hand in the garage door and went to the ER last night The pharmacist said it would take until next week to get the medication in. When I asked her to please call over to the CVS on Ball and Walker she said they would not release that information to her so I asked for the phone number and called them from the parking lot and not only did the pharmacist help me out but he said it was in stock and when I got there it was ready in 15 minutes. Go to CVS on Ball and Walker it is worth the extra few minutes drive!!! read more

After going to the small Talbert CVS Pharmacy for several years and having such personalized service, they closed and all the great employees went elsewhere. I never thought I would find another pharmacy with such caring and knowledgeable pharmacists, but I did here. This CVS Pharmacy has an absolutely wonderful staff, especially the pharmacists Thu and Kim who have helped me so often with my elderly mother's prescriptions and concerns as well as my Rxs. They have great employees like Travis, Yanira ,and Johnny who are so very helpful and competent. This is a great place AND you receive discount coupons to save on products in the store. This review is for the pharmacy. If you have any other options for pharmacies, use them. This pharmacy has horrible customer service. Not just on one occasion, but this is an ongoing issue. I've been told that an unfilled RX was ready only to find out at the store that it wasn't, I've been given misinformation, and seen pricing issues. Just bad. read more

The cvs employees at this location need better training and need to figure it out in the photo department. I used the app the place my order hours before going to pick them up and ALSO called to make sure they'd be ready. After confirmation I go to the store to retrieve my photos. Turns out the employee says they are no where to be found and aren't even in the system. Doesn't bother to ask anyone for help and tells me to print them in store.. what is the point of the app? I am trying to save time and not have to deal with this in store. Management, please help and better train your staff. read more

My medical plan uses Caremark/CVS as the prescription plan. I went in today to pick up a 15 day no refill prescription. They tried to get me to authorize them to contact my doctor for a refill. I emphatically denied. When I got home I read the prescription info. The manufacturer clearly stated don't use for more than 3 weeks. So to make money on me without regard to me or the limited use of this prescription They wanted to get me a 4 week prescription thereby exceeding usage determined by the manufacturer. They also tried to get me to agree to phone notifications of prescription info but embedded in this authorization was marketing info. Watch out what you agree to at CVS. read more

I have been coming here since this location opened. My son is special needs on multiple meds. Came to pick up his refills and only 2 out of 4 were ready. They told me he didn't have the others but the other I just picked up were on the same prescription. After pulling up the original the tech who took the prescription just in put 2 of the 4. It was "Art" who has the personality and customer service skills of a sponge who carelessly omitted 2 of the 4. I was told by a girl they would fill In less than 15 minutes. Almost 50 minutes later and here I sit. Time to transfer the over $150 in co pays alone family prescriptions. Not once did I get an apology for their error. And why they keep assuming my son and I share the same last name is beyond me. If it's a minor, can't you refer to me as "patients first name Mom"? I corrected them and now their calling something totally different. So frustrating after a 10 hour work day!!!!! read more

DO NOT go here to get disposable cameras developed. I gave them my camera from a Costa Rica trip, and ordered double prints. When I went to go pick up my photos, I opened the bag and all of my photos except for one out of 27 were poorly printed, they were all blurry. Also, there were some photos clearly taken by a family of somebody else's child in a backyard and of a dog. They also told me that I could not get my negatives back, then gave me $8 off my $20 purchase. Do not let them send out your pictures unless you want terrible quality photos with which you cannot get your film back. read more

As with other people with a one star review, this is for the pharmacy. The wife asked me to pull up in the drive thru, so I did. Hit the button and I was told it would be a minute. Cool, handle yo sh.t. Through the window we see some patrons walk up and get service. Hello? We're right here! Finally were able to flag down the attendant who apologized for it being busy. Then we kindly let her know that there was no line when she told us to wait and we saw two customers walk up and get help. Regardless, we gave her the prescription and new insurance card. Another ten minutes later with her assisting the pharmacist at the counter she comes back to let us know that it will be an hour to fill due to other orders. Really? We then decide that it's not worth the drive back and we will just go to another pharmacy. She then asks if we would like the insurance information updated. Our response: Life is too short. Don't have another ten minutes to waste on this day with nothing to show. Needless to say, we will be going to a different pharmacy from now on. read more

Tried to return "100% guaranteed" CVS-brand item I purchased online that was simply atrocious. Associate at the register eventually realized she couldn't figure out how to return the item and called over another associate (after the line had grown to quite a few people and I was taking up the only open register). The associate she called over, Associate "Eden," was extremely rude and disrespectful, initially telling me I couldn't return the unwanted item. Then after an extended back and forth, Eden stated she needed manager approval to return the item and the manager only works from 7am to 3pm. WTF? I work as well, so this is not an option. Eden then rudely stated that I should go to another store if I can't come in when the manager works. I will be going to another store from now on: Target. You have lost a customer. read more
