Absolutely useless pharmacists, have no clue as to how to serve. When they're out of medication they don't lift a finger to actually help customers get what they need, and basically put the onus on the patient to come up with a solution. Dirty Store. No Cashier at the Register. They try to force you to use the self checkout. They go extra slow coming to the register to check you out. They think if they go slow enough you will just use the self checkout. I didn't wait I jus left my purchases on the counter and walked out. MINUTE CLINIC SUCKS. RUDE. INCOMPETENT!!! If I could give negative 5 stars I would. Had an appointment to get covid-tested at 8:20. Showed up at 8:15 and the Minute Clinic employee told me to wait in my car. It got past 8:40 so I went back in to check on my appointment and the same employee told me "I asked you to wait in your car"............. ok but it's almost half an hour from my appointment and no one has checked on me? Do you expect me to continue sitting in my car like an idiot? Now it's 9:30, over an hour from my appointment. I understand that people run late but the lack of explanation and the attitude from the CVS employee is unacceptable. It is also impossible to get anyone on the phone. read more

This review is strictly for the Pharmacy only. Every time I call to refill a prescription or need to preorder a prescription at this cvs location the hold times are insanely long. Not only are the wait times long, they hang up on you multiple times after waiting over 40min and have to call back multiple times. Sometimes I use multiple cell phones to try and get through. I can understand being busy, but I don't understand why they can't pick up and say I have c amount of patients in front of you. Got my Flu and 5th Covid shot at this pharmacy, It was amazingly quick, called exactly on time, cheerful, knowledgeable caretaker, couldn't even feel the shot going in. The pharmacy was incredibly busy. The poor people working there need more resources to do their job. Doesn't look like the big guys give a crap. This is my experience with CVS in north west Los Angeles. CVS Pharmacy must have the worst IT systems I have ever encountered. They are a 3rd party for my health care OTC products and I have had nothing but trouble trying to order supplies. Warehouses going offline due to winter storms, out of stock conditions due to poor inventory control, significant delays in filling orders on top of delivering orders with missing and/or broken items leads me to believe that CVS has serious operational problems and should not be one of the providers responsible for distributing something as important as the COVID19 vaccine. I wouldn't trust them. Similar problems exist in my local pharmacy where I've experienced a lack of inventory requiring a three day wait for a prescription, runaway computer systems programmed to automatically refill unneeded prescriptions while the same system doesn't recognize the need to refill a legitimate prescription, long lines and short staff at counters and a general air of chaos with prescriptions overflowing bins without any kind of discernible filing system. I'm going to encourage my health care provider to find another pharmacy partner. CVS is simply not ready for prime time. read more

A solid CVS. The lines for the pharmacy are outrageously long. And from the reviews from fellow yelpers, they don't seem to give a heck about you or your medical needs. I would recommend a smaller pharmacy on Westwood Blvd or a different CVS all together. This CVS is organized pretty well. With the random mix of transients, college students and people who need their prescriptions filled its fitting they have workers who ask you if you need help finding something. Good customer service. I guess I looked homeless or confused because one worker came up to me in a friendly manner and asked me what I was looking for. I told her and she directed me to it. Awesome ! I hate wasting time looking for things. The tiny cross street and Westwood is a mess. I'm not sure how parking works but it doesn't look fun at all. read more

To make it worse after coming here for a year for different things, the line situation at the pharmacy here is super troubling. Not sure if they seem to be understaffed, or if it's an efficiency problem, but something is a problem. Hope they can figure out a way to get this line moving because it really is a time waster. Just awful. There is always a line, and they never have my prescription ready. After my first problem experience with them, I started calling ahead to confirm the medications I would be picking up, as well as the time I would be there. Once, they called me with a reminder to pick up my prescriptions, and when I got there (after waiting in line for the usual 20-30 mins), they weren't ready. Another time, they refilled the wrong medications after I called to confirm (waited 20-30 mins again). Yet another time, they agreed to fill my prescriptions, and after I called to confirm and arrived to pick them up, they told me they could not fill my prescription until the next day (which they should have told me when I called). Also, they take forever to update your contact information in the system. I gave the guy behind the counter my new address in December, and 3 months later, they still have my old address in the system. When I asked if he had lost my new information, he said, "It's probably somewhere on my To-Do List." Really? I have since transferred my prescriptions to a different pharmacy. read more

STILL not my fave CVS location at all. The store itself is small and common things like hydrogen peroxide have been sold out when I've been here. But - solely because I have now had 2 separate Minute Clinic experiences with Amy, I'm raising my stars. Amy is SUPER helpful, quick, professional - which is great. But on top of her professionalism, she's consistently warm and has really wonderful energy, and is clearly happy. So for the fact that Amy is so great, and the Minute Clinic here is open 7 days a week, that alone is worth raising them a whole star. It doesn't hurt that the parking lot is easy to park in. But really, Amy is wonderful!!! read more

The Pharmacist in charge is always unpleasant and has told me incorrect information. For instance, two prescriptions I have been on for two years that are covered by my insurance were transferred here, and she told me my insurance doesn't cover them. I told her they must, because they always do, and she insisted that no, they probably don't. It was weird. I asked her to fill the new orders anyway, please, and she did, and they were covered. The second time I called she couldn't find my prescriptions. The third time she couldn't either. She is always exasperated, rushed, and seems very unhappy. Yet, when I speak to anyone else in the pharmacy, they're nice and never have any issues finding me in the database or finding my prescriptions. It's weird. It's just that one woman. The last time I spoke to her she was really rude. I asked to speak to someone else in the pharmacy and she hissed that SHE was in charge of the pharmacy and so NO I could not speak to anyone else. I had it. I transferred my prescriptions elsewhere. I am sorry this woman is so unhappy and I feel sorry for her employees. read more

I like this CVS. They get u through the line fast. They have a huge selection including a pretty extensive grocery area. The pharmacy sucks, the customer service is pretty bad. Back to the store, I like it. They have self serve lanes and people to help you. They always have good specials and the workers are nice and helpful. There is a lot and street parking. Yeah, no. I've been a customer of CVS for a while now, and I've never experienced one this bad. First, like many others have said, the lines at this CVS are for some reason absurdly long. It's the closest CVS to my apartment, though, so I just expect any given trip will take me anywhere between 5 and 20 minutes. Second, I recently refilled a prescription that had a 90 count. While my order called for 90 pills, and while the bottle claimed there were 90 pills, and while I assume I was CHARGED for 90 pills, it was only filled with 30. The morning after I discovered the mistake I called the pharmacy immediately upon opening. 20 minutes on hold, no one answers. I eventually called another department and asked them to help me get someone on the phone, which they were able to do right away (so were they just screening my call that whole time...?). When the pharmacist finally answered, he was appallingly rude, as if I had somehow personally offended him by calling. It went something like: Me: *Explains situation of miscounted pills* Him: "First name." (Nothing else by way of apology or explanation.) Me: *Gives first name* Him: "Last name." (Still sounding upset with me.) Me: *Gives last name* Him: "Hold on." AND THEN PUTS ME BACK ON HOLD WITH NO EXPLANATION. Yeah, I'm done. I'm going to a different CVS or switching to a different pharmacy altogether. I'm not willing to go through the headache anymore. EDIT: In case you need further evidence that this CVS is actually a heaping pile of trash, they refilled one of my prescriptions automatically before I had a chance to request a refill elsewhere. I called them to confirm whether they had reached out to my primary care physician for the refill. (1) I guess massive rudeness is a criterion by which they hire their pharmacy staff, because the woman on the phone LITERALLY INTERRUPTED ME as I was explaining my question, stating she needed my date of birth. She then claimed CVS had reached out to my physician, so I asked if, generally, this means the refill would be ready within the next few business days. Her reply: "I don't have control over how quickly your doctor approves our request." OH, OKAY. THANKS, YOU INSUFFERABLE EXCUSE FOR A PHARMACIST. (2) A few days pass, and the refill isn't ready. I finally reach out to my doctor asking if they could approve the request. THEY NEVER RECEIVED A REFILL REQUEST. I REPEAT. CVS CLAIMED THEY REACHED OUT TO MY DOCTOR, BOTH ON THEIR APP AND ON THE PHONE, AND NEVER DID. This is an IMPRESSIVE amount of incompetence. Avoid this location at all costs, unless you like going through a giant headache every time you have to deal with them. They're like King Midas, except everything they touch turns into a total dumpster fire. read more

Hm, funny side note, there's a section labeled "Warm Beverages Section"... after passing by the refrigerated single drinks~ If you don't have a CVS card, one of the employees at the self-check out station can scan their "guest card" for you so you can still receive the discount price! This has been my pharmacy for the last 8 years but I recently changed because this store is so dirty and there are always homeless people outside. I got tired of being harassed every time I needed to pick up an rx. Got a flu shot here and had to wait a long time. That seems to be the way this oharmacy operates, long wait in line to drop off rx, long wait to get the rx filled, long wait to pick up the rx, they don't respect our time. Their inefficiency seems to stress out the staff and that is the last thing I want, is for the pharmacist and staff to be frazzled while fillIng rxs. read more

It's not that I'm antisocial or dislike people, but I tend to veer toward using the self check out at this CVS. In fact, I'm thankful that they have the self check out 'cos everyone working here always looks pretty miserable. I've had to deal with some of the staff who greatly dislike their jobs when their self scan machines malfunction (quite frequently). Be forewarned that if you're in a rush, this isn't the place for you. It will sometimes take several minutes if the self check out machine deems assistance is required for someone to come over and assist. (Note that the machine will tell you it needs 'checking' even if you've done everything right. Frustrating, indeed.) Aside from the staff and the check out, this store is all right. They carry any of your basic necessities. Occasionally I can spot a good deal here (got two large bags of crisps for the price of one), but I tend to find CVS overpriced, in general. Maybe it's just my perception. Regardless, it's convenient (walkable to my house) and has parking, if you need it. I haven't been to the pharmacy, so can't comment on that aspect. Live really close to this CVS and it's very convenient. I have never had a problem finding things I need there. The employees are extremely friendly and make my experience painless and easy. The self-checkouts are the easiest way to go and if you're having trouble there is always someone at the front waiting to help you out. Keep in mind, I don't have a current prescription for anything so I haven't used this CVS for prescription needs. I should have read the reviews prior to coming in. I guess that was my first mistake. I dropped off my script and the technician said an hour. I thought maybe they are busy. Then I see he quotes all the people after me 10 minutes. I still give them to benefit of the doubt. After waiting for 30 minutes I ask how much longer. The guy says I am surprised you decided to wait when I said an hour. It will take another hour or so. I asked why? He said the pharmacist has to go to lunch. I said you should have said 2 hours so I could go elsewhere. Regardless I had them return my script. I can't deal with idiots and liars and that's how the employees here are. read more

I feel a little uneasy with the review I'm about to make, but being on hold for 40 minutes today is really unacceptable...I know for a fact it's not that busy in the pharmacy. I really just had a couple questions about the prescriptions I was given & thought it was going to be at max a 10 minute phone call, but it quadrupled. I'm always reading negative reviews about this location & try to ignore them because I don't experience them once I'm there, but today I'm really considering just switching pharmacies & letting someone else wait 40 minutes for a couple questions answered. Not only that, I continuously heard someone pick up my call & immediately put me back on hold several times. Once again I repeat, I know for a fact it's not that busy in the pharmacy. I live & work in the area so I know how busy it gets. I hope you guys either hire more people or try to care about patients who aren't calling to say hello or chit chat, they have real life questions they want answered by experienced pharmacists who actually genuinely wanna help in a timely manner.
