The location is great to walk to because you would have to pay for parking to get to this establishment, but I left the store disappointed because it was not well stocked, and I was not able to find any of the items that I needed or even new and unexpected items that I may have been interested in. read more

Came in for a quick passport photo. Jennifer was awesome - quick, efficient, professional, friendly. 5 Stars for her! Carlos, at the register, was meh. I told him at the start of the transaction that I did not have the photos in my possession as I decided to quickly skim the hair aisle. At the end of the transaction, I reminded him and he tried to tell me to go back to the photo area despite me notifying him that the photos were behind the cash-wrap. My eye doctor is next door. He sent me over to get some steroid drops. After they let me wait 35 minutes they told me they didn't have. I walked over and got a different RX from doc and went back. I stood in line as they took people cutting in front. When I got to the dark headed woman in white coat she told me to wait in the other line. Went here today to buy some things and to use a couple of coupons from my mile long receipt. When my coupons didn't scan, a manager named Manal came over and accused me of taking someone else's coupons because the extracare card # didn't match up. I told her I had picked up something from the pharmacy yesterday and they didn't even ask for my extracare card or phone number. She said she wouldn't allow me to use the coupons and accused me of lying and said she was going to check the tapes. Seriously. She said she was going to check the tapes because I wanted to use a couple of coupons they gave me. I left because I didn't want to argue with an irrational person over a $6 coupon. After a terrible experience at the ER the night before, the minute clinic was a life saver. I only waited 15 minutes to see the NP who wrapped my finger nicely (I cut of the tip of the finger) adding ointment to prevent any sticking to the wound... the ER did not do this meaning if I tried to remove the gauze, the wound would be ripped open. I got a tetanus shot as I was concerned for the bacteria, another thing the Er refused me. The NP was super kind and even made a sweet joke to make me feel better, the night before the ER staff made fun of me for my pain and had zero sympathy. Best experience I have had, for any minor emergency that I can go to the minute clinic, I definite will read more

This CVS is the worst. The pharmacists are awful. Everyone else is great but the pharmacists always seem irritated and upset. I can't tell you how many times a pharmacist has told me they're going on lunch or break and they didn't call my doctor. Anyhow the only reason I come here is the location and it's always super busy. CVS really needs to change their coupon receipts. It's the most horrible thing ever when they give you a receipt that's 4 feet long! It is completely evident that I absolutely LOATHE CVS Pharmacies. I feel a tinge of anxiety whenever I drive past one. Going inside requires a brief self-pep talk. Such feelings arose when I realized that I did not have fully intact pantyhose for work. There are definately more fun things to shop for, but since hose is hose and CVS was there, I went in. It was chaos, as usual. There were an abundance of families wandering around with unruly children. But hey, that's not CVS' fault! I headed straight to the hoisery section, which was fully stocked...wait, what?!? Fully stocked! Even Target doesn't have a fully stocked pantyhose section. Woohoo! I grabbed my pantyhose and searched for a box of carbs. I grabbed some Goldfish and circled to the front of the store. WAIT JUST A MINUTE! Is that a refrigerated section of healthy and delicious looking snacks? Sabra hummus? Cheese and fruit boxes? What the what?!?!? I ditched the goldfish, grabbed some healthy grub and headed to the worst part of the store...check out. I didn't see a long line, which is absolutely unheard of for any westside CVS. "Why were there no lines?" you may be asking yourself. Well, I will tell you. There were no lines because this CVS has now installed Express Check Out lanes where you can scan your own items, pay for them without having to argue with a salesperson, and be on your way. And that was that. I will be going back tomorrow for more snacks. And to make sure that this wasn't just a dream. read more

I love this CVS because of it's convenience to where I live (across from it). When I need a quick fix for some drinks or snacks, this is where I go. I only give this 2 stars because their lines are always long and they lack cashiers ... Not sure what it is, but this CVS doesn't compare to the one more further down Westwood. I think this CVS carries less things than the other one though. 1 star for convenience. And another star because it has what I need. ***You drivers out there, there is a parking lot in the back conveniently for you. Beyond the wait time, their rude attitude, the fact that they hang up the phones (if they ever answer- be prepared to hold for hours) they are judgemental and uninformed. PHARMACY REVIEW ONLY: If I could give a negative star rating to this establishment, I would in a heartbeat. Let me tell you, I deleted my Yelp account almost 3 years ago, but the frustration at this place was so much that I just HAD to sign back up to be able to warn everyone and tell them to stay away from this place and avoid it at all costs!!! All I needed was to get my birth control pill prescription transferred here and let me tell you, I feel like getting an abortion would have been less painful. I went back and forth about ONE prescription from 8am (I was the 2nd person right when they opened first thing in the morning) until 2:40pm for these people to get the most simple thing done. They called me 3 times telling me my insurance was telling them they can't do the prescription transfer, and each time I confirmed with my insurance and they said they said no such thing to them. I LITERALLY had to walk over to the pharmacy, and stand in front of the lady and WATCHED her call my insurance for them to process this --after which she tells me it will be ready in 10 minutes. I had a work meeting so I told her, hell --take your time, I'll be back in an hour. 1 hour goes by and I came back --stood in a long line until it was my turn and they told me there was an "issue with my insurance" --which there was NO issue. Then they tell me they don't even HAVE my pills and that they'll give me another generic --WHATEVER, at this point give me whatever you got, I'm over this!! --oh, we don't even have any generics, we have to give you the brand name and it's $xx more. REALLY?! Having no choice (again) I just take it and leave...half way back to the office I realize they never gave me my insurance card back and had to go back a FOURTH time to get my card. I don't know if it's that they're a bunch of students or a bunch of morons. This review is for the pharmacy only... Beware. They're horrible. This pharmacy should be ashamed of themselves. Do they not care about service provided to customers who look to their dept for their medical needs? I should have read all their scathing reviews prior to choosing this location. Unfortunately, I chose them due to convenience and both my sister and I paid the price by not doing my "research" beforehand. My sister recently had surgery and I came by to drop off the prescription. When looking through it they told me a few items listed were over-the-counter. Fine. They made me feel like an idiot for not knowing this. Last time I checked, you were the expert not me. The guy instructed me to where to grab the item (Children strength, mind you due to the ml increments) but FAILED to tell me how much to multiply that by to meet the dosage as the doctor prescribed. Initially when they instructed me to pick this item up I thought the doctor only required mild strength bc one of the items prescribed included the real pain meds but I didn't realize this WAS her pain meds till later. Fast forward to two days post-surgery. My sister's at home and is extremely uncomfortable and in pain after the anesthesia is completely flushed from her system. She wrote down (she's unable to speak post-surgery) to mention the pain meds didn't seem strong enough so she is miserably holding two ice packs to her. I call CVS to check if the over-the-counter drug was instructed for several doses and after putting me on hold they said "Oh, She needed to be taking 4tsp of that 3 times a day". Obviously, instructions on package are intended for children's dosage but don't you think you should have mentioned how much more her doctor is requiring her (an adult) when we picked it up? We are not impressed and they are in dire need of an intervention. Even while waiting in their long lines a couple times I was able to watch their interactions with many of their customers. They looked like they felt they were doing everyone a favor by doing their job. A few of them seemed to HATE their job. Get another one if you think you are too good to service the customers. I also heard the mumble and grumblings from all the frustrated customers behind me asking them to open another window because two registers weren't enough for the volume of customers queued I did however up them a star because my interaction with ONE of their staff was better than the rest. read more

It was just around the corner from my apartment, so I really just visited for convience. They messed up my prescriptions on multiple occasions, giving me the wrong med altogether.. not the generic, just the straight out wrong medication. They never called me when something was ready to be picked up. I used their minute clinic last summer and was misdiagnosed with allergies.. I didn't feel better for a week so I headed to my primary care Dr. Turns out I had a major infection. Not only that, but all the customer service associates and pharmacy techs I've encountered here have been less than helpful. read more

Store # 9576 - CVS PHARMACY on Wellworth and Westwood Blvd. Not only is the service at the Pharmacy completely unacceptable, they are CHEATING CUSTOMERS AND INSURANCE COMPANIES!! I brought in a new prescription for 30 pills. They broke it into a 15 pill Rx with a refill for 15 pills. So they get $20.00 for a $10.00 prescription. And you cant get anyone to even help you. They have many staff, but it is still not enough. This place is completely dysfunctional. It is a shame because in the store itself, the service is great. But I will never ever take a prescription to this Pharmacy again. There are thousands of pharmacies in LA. Do not go to this one. read more

The retail store has a great selection and helpful staff...but the pharmacy has literally been the setting for some of the worst experiences of my life. I don't know if it's the pharmacists fault or the system, but every interaction I have had with them has been fraught with issues. I will say that when said issues did arise the pharmacists were completely unhelpful and unsympathetic, and seem rather inept at addressing the problem and providing anything reminiscent of customer service. I have a feeling they deal with this all the time, but if so, it's like, fix the problem! When you fail to fill a prescription I just ordered over the phone from you an hour ago, WHY DO YOU MAKE ME GO GET IN A SEPARATE LINE WHEN YOU'RE THE ONE WHO MESSED UP???!?!? I will be officially switching to an independent pharmacy that fills my prescriptions without issue every single time. I mean IT'S NOT ROCKET SCIENCE. YOU'RE JUST FILLING A PRESCRIPTION. I should start counting the amount of times I come to this CVS to buy meds. While I don't come here for the pharmacy, thank god since it seems like all the poor reviews here are geared towards the pharmacy, I'm always here in the allergy or cold/cough aisle. And CVS knows exactly what's up since their cold medicine is seemingly always on sale. Awesome for people like me whose immune system sucks balls that I get sick every couple of months guaranteed and go through meds like it's nothing. What is nice about this place is that the self-checkout stations beat the other CVS location in the heart of Westwood village. Get in, get out, fast. While their self-checkout stations are awesome, they normally only have one cashier ringing people up. Could be a long wait if you're there to return something. I come here to exchange my bills for quarters and they're really nice about it. They got rid of their passport imaging system, which I was annoyed by since I needed to renew my passport sometime last year. They're doing some digital thing now, but I'm not exactly sure how it works now. Side note: Don't help the homeless outside. CVS put up a sign specifically stating they don't condone it, too. Last time I helped out a guy wanting money for food, I bought him a bag of chips and he was not appreciative. In late 2010, this store completed a significant remodelling, floor re-arrangement and upgrade, as did most CVS stores. It is seriously *much* better after the remodel - not due to the shiny new floor layout, but actually due to the addition of self-check-out terminals. No more waiting for the slow, bumbling cashiers to work through the line, thanks to the self-checkouts. One of the benefits of a good drug store is *convenience*, but before the remodel this location had managed to nullify pretty much all of the convenience, with their typical long check-out waits. When they remodelled, they introduced shiny new self-check-out terminals and they didn't even skimp on them (I've seen other retail chains that failed miserably in this respect, putting in only like two self-check-out terminals and then leaving them 'out of service' most of the time). I believe this location actually added at least six self-check-out terminals - a vast improvement in the overall number of check-outs considering the fact that there was usually only two or three cashiers working at a time before the self-check-outs came. On the several visits I've made to this location since the remodelling was completed, there has *always* been a self-check-out stand available, so I can just walk up, scan my stuff right away, pay, get out fast and continue on with my day. read more

The store part is alright, especially post-remodel, but the pharmacy suuuuuuuucks. Every time I go to the pharmacy I wait in line for at least 30 minutes, regardless of the time of day. There's usually someone with prescription drama in front of me that's holding up the line, and for some reason the pharmacists can't find a way to deal with drama off to the side while continuing to see other customers. I guess multi-tasking is not their strong suit. The fact that there does seem to be drama unfolding every single time I go there tells me that the pharmacy is consistently inefficient and not at all proactive about anticipating/managing issues between drop-off and pick-up. It seems to be understaffed so the pharmacists are always stressed and, as a result, they are often short with customers. And because the pharmacists are agitated, so are the customers. One time I was here and an 80-year-old lady tried to stab one of the checkers with a ballpoint pen. Yeah, it was wrong and a little sad because she was probably not all there, but she was definitely acting out how other customers were probably feeling -- frustrated, stranded and ignored. I finally moved all my prescriptions over to an independent pharmacy called Rancho Park. I have yet to wait in line longer than 5 minutes and some of my medications are actually cheaper there. These 5 stars are for Lettie who reversed a terrible experience. I'm immunocompromised and am unable to pick up needed medication at this time because of COVID. I used the automated service to refill two prescriptions and was confirmed. When I sent someone to pick them up, they weren't filled. The automated system now claimed that one wasn't even in their system. For two days I tried repeatedly to reach the pharmacy in person but no one picked up. Finally in desperation I tried to bypass their automated response system and log in as a medical office. Nope. I was dumped into the same automated system and was told one of the prescriptions didn't exist "goodbye". Finally after literally hours, I got through and explained my situation to Lettie. She couldn't have been more helpful. She located the prescription contacted my physician, refilled it and had it delivered out to me the next morning. CVS pharmacy 10 stars for your personnel, 0 stars for your automated system and for not hiring enough employees. Thank you Lettie for saving the day! read more

Well lets see. This is really near me and near the library so its definitely a convenient location. The parking situation is real good as they have their own lot. The prices are okay especially stuff on sale. If you have a CVS card they do give you coupons and store credit back as a rebate. I thought the prescription drug prices were good until I checked at Costco. So unless I need something right away I am not going here for medication anymore. The service here is about as awful as you expect these days from a corporate retail establishment. You basically have to get in line at the registers to be able to ask someone a question of where something is. So I had a horrible toothache and needed meds. I came here and had no idea where to start. My buddy said we should ask the pharmacy-tech on toothache advice. We did and they directed us on which over-the-counter meds we should get. I immediately bought what they directed, took it home and like magic my ache went away. Most lines at CVS are kinda long, but I waited about 90 seconds to 2 minutes tops at this location . If you are feeling sick and not sure what to do, I would 100% advise asking the pharma-tech. This CVS is my drugstore of choice for my neighborhood (Westwood/Century City) because it has a parking lot, is close to other shops and the library (so I can take care of my errands all at once) and is pretty large and well-staffed. It has a self-check out center so that you don't have to wait in line for service. Also, they just remodeled and added an extensive grocery section so it's a good place to pick up stock items like milk, eggs, and bread without having to trek to Ralphs. The big problem with this store is the service. As other Yelpers have said, the pharmacy staff can be rude and apathetic. The other staff are not very knowledgeable about the store's products and the service is SLOW if you need to return something or decide not to use self-check out. If you're getting your prescriptions filled I suggest going elsewhere, but if you just need to get some lotion or mascara or whatever then it's not a bad option. read more

This CVS has a parking lot - one where you might have to scream obscenities to keep people from backing into you, but a parking lot, nonetheless. That is the only saving grace of this store. It smells funny, and not good funny. The selection is okay in the store itself, but if you need to fill a prescription, you'd be better off wandering through the desert and asking a cactus to fill it for you. This is the closest pharmacy to my house, so I gave them a long leash - five tries. The pharmacy staff is rude, overworked, and not terribly knowledgeable. It doesn't inspire a lot of confidence when you ask about drug interactions and get an, "Um... Yeah, you should look that up." No, lady, YOU should look that up, it's your job. My patience officially ran out when, desperately in need of antibiotics, I waited in line for forty minutes, turned in my prescription, and then was told to wait in the store for it to be filled. I waited TWO HOURS, checking back three times. At the two hour mark, I was called back to the pharmacy, only to be told "oops," they didn't have my antibiotic in stock. Pretty good CVS, it's not that big in comparison with other CVS. But, it definitely plays a convenience if you're in the Westwood area. I feel like one distinct difference this CVS has than the one in the Village is that it has a parking lot. Honestly, the parking lot sucks. Which is why I downed the review by one star. I feel like it's too crunched up together. But, it plays a convenience because you don't have to look for parking in the meters at Westwood Village. Overall the CVS seems pretty good. I felt like the workers there weren't too attentive, but I came late in the afternoon so I wouldn't blame them if they were working hours on day. They know their stuff though, I asked them were their razors were and they pointed me to the correct aisle. Would definitely recommend coming here if you're around the area. read more

When first started uses this pharmacy location they would never have my prescription ready. The wait would be extremely long so I decided to have my prescription automatically refilled ever month and I would receive a phone call in advance letting me know when it was ready to be picked up. The new CVS in Vacaville, CA on Depot and E Monte Vista is horrible. Pharmacist Tech James is rude and dismissive. Pharmacist Randy (Randall W Yee) #29220 is also the same or even worse. Pharmacist is usually never at this CVS...he is from CVS on Florin in Sacramento. His boss is Linh Nguyen in Sacramento. We bet his has a lot of complaints at his usual CVS, too. We hope that the manager Grace and Pharmacy manager Sean contact us as we've requested. Highly doubt it. Pharmacist Randy did NOT follow the doctor's prescription instructions and when corrected, he refused to correct. Even had to get our insurance company involved to inform him of his mistakes. He weakly said "sorry" after taking up hours of our time. WE WILL NEVER go to the store again. This was the last time they would take hours of our time up with their mistakes. read more

Cons: Rude cashiers at the main check-out. Bags that they sell do not have handles. There are very strange people who hang out near this CVS and often disturb customers; I sometimes do not feel safe going to this store when it gets dark. It is very dirty outside of the store. Pharmacy misspelled my name several times and could not locate my order. Several times they were out of stock on certain meds that pharmacies usually carry and had to order them. Pros: The store is well organised. Guys who work between isles are actually nice and helpful (they usually stand near the front isles and greet customers). I went to this location with my daughter and as we were walking out of the parking lot, parking guy start chasing us to the front of the entrance and told us we can only park for CVS only and that's for 10 minutes in a very rude way. I asked the him what happens if I take more then 10 minutes? Then started speaking in he's own language and started walking away. I actually got intimidated and scared and my daughter was shaken with the way he talked. Understand people park and go somewhere else but to chase us till the entrance and telling us only 10 minutes is really much!!!!
