COUNT your pills before you leave. I was shorted 4 out of 30. That's a lot to be missing. Not the first time either. An honest mistake? At a pharmacy? How much do you really need to get right? Went to print pics forgot my cord asked to borrow a cord and 2lady workers said just use the app we don't have a cord. I said no worries I'll grab mine from the car. They both insisted it's better to use the app. Keep in mind I'm on my 30 min lunch break. I order from the app get a email telling me pics delayed I went to show the email and the lady yells get in line !! I'm like umm I'm just trying to pick up pics she says again GET IN LINE !! so I wait my turn. Get the register show her the email and she like oh yea so the system is down nothing I can do about that. I'm like well y'all insisted I waste my time and order from the app now you can't help me resolve the issue with printing. She like no. So I do what I should have did to begin with use the kiosk and bam my pics print instantly. But also my lunch is over I'm late for work and all these people still have bad attitudes with their misinformation. No apologies just wasted time. CVS Is required by my insurance, and they have lots of products to choose from, BUT they don't understand the costumer or service. Take their bathrooms, always broken, not maintained, etc. You would think a store like this would make sure they have nice usable bathrooms for their customers, but ALL CVS stores make it difficutl. The Pharmacist Barry was so rude! I came in feeling not the best, my sore throat/ tonsils were feeling very uncomfortable that night. I stood at the consultation counter waiting for possibly a recommendation for something I could take. He didn't come over to consult me. Instead, he asked me what was wrong across from the counter he was working from. I tried to him how I was feeling as best as I possibly could. In the middle of my sentences he was being very unprofessional. At one point he seemed as if he was mocking me. I couldn't even get my sentence out because he kept interrupting me as I was trying to talk. This made me feel as if I was a bother to get help. I know the CVS policy and customers and patients are supposed to be treated with CARE. It shouldn't matter if I am working on the clock. This is from someone who works for CVS and in the pharmacy. I was expecting to get the same care as a regular customer, even though I wasn't working my shift. I work at a CVS at a different location in the pharmacy, but that shouldn't matter. Thankfully, Gershon helped me and recommended me with something to take as well as treating with best representation of a CVS Pharmacist. Gershon was clocking out and getting ready to leave from his shift and he went over and beyond to help me. Wow. The Pharmacy could be way better. So after getting a text saying my prescription was ready, waiting in the pickup line and getting to the front, the lady told me I needed to give my new insurance information first. Put into another line. There, the lady tells me to ignore my text saying that my prescription was ready and that I would get another text when the insurance info went through saying it was ready to be picked up. 10, 15, 25 minutes go by...nothing. Finally I just went up to the window (of course another long line) and it was all there and ready. No one ever texted or contacted me like they told me to wait for. The lady said they should have at least paged me in the store...but I'm hearing impaired so I wouldn't hear it anyway, I explained to her. And again she says, well someone should have definitely done that...basically ignoring the fact that I just told her I had a hearing disability. So rude and ignorant. Then when I went to the pharmacist to have him explain my meds, for one he was literally like, the directions are in the box....really? Okay...he was nice though, I guess..? The staff throughout the store is kind and helpful, that's why they get 2 stars. At least the store and pharmacy are open 24 hours. I had the greatest pharmacy experience at this 24 Hour CVS! I typically visit the CVS in Marina del Rey at 13171 Mindanao Way. My blood pressure has soared thanks to tolerating the Marina's idiot savant pharmacy crew behind the counter. How many pharmacy techs does it require to plow through a line of at least 8 people during rush hour? F this S! The staff at the Marina is so incompetent that I had been paying $50 for my monthly medication because they proclaimed my insurance didn't accept it. When I came to this location, the courteous pharmacy crew did the following: * Was able to fill my prescription in 5 minutes! (Whaaat? I was rubbing my eyes.) * Asked for my insurance information so they could see whether or not my insurance covered it. And it DID! And a considerable portion of it too. Those morons in the Marina were just too damn lazy or stupid to find out! * Gave me a gift card for $25 for being a new pharmacy customer Hugs to everyone at this pharmacy! You guys rock! read more

I know how busy pharmacies can get given how drug-dependent Americans are nowadays. Everything is prescribed for even the slightest "pain" someone feels, even if it only exists in their head. But I, the customer, do not accept "I don't know" for an answer when my order is not ready after arriving 2 fuckin' hours after ordering it over the phone with a REAL representative. This is not a new prescription folks, it's a fucken refill! Two times, back to back, hey've forgotten to refill my prescription when I call in to do so but they've surely refilled my rage and frustration. The first incident ... the guy avoids eye contact with me as he puts in the order when I get there and provides no fucking explanation whatsoever. No apology, no reassurance ... nothing. He just walks back and forth behind the counter hoping to fulfill my order ASAP so I don't notice that it was not completed PRIOR to me getting there. Ass fuck. I let the first time slide. Second time (a few moments ago, actually) - the same shit happens. The woman on the phone who "helped me" said it would be ready in 30 minutes. I arrive 2 hrs later. This time, I express my dissatisfaction and ask "What happened?" Of course, the woman helping me was not the woman who I talked to over the phone and replies with a simple "I don't know." That's it? You don't tell me "I don't know but let me find out!" She even gave me a bit of an attitude the first time I asked why. I don't accept her fucken "I don't know" and say this is the second time it has happened and that I want to speak with a manager. I'm a pretty understandable person. The manager explains the situation of what could have happened but I don't care because I already know. Of course, there is nothing she can do about their crappy service and the person responsible for this shitty service. Fuck you, CVS. I DESPISE this CVS pharmacy. -- on hold for 1/2hour or more if I need to call in to ask if I need BOTHER go in, incase my prescription has not even been filled yet -- Just went thru a huge ordeal to find out they fucked up, NOT my insurance company, and I am covered for a certain drug. They were supposed to correct the problem when their "system" was back up and running (whatever that meant). 3 days, no call. LUCKILY, for personal and a long list of reasons, I do not need this prescription right away. --Everyone there seems clueless, haggard, or just hating life working back there. Do they need more workers? FUCK, lots of people need jobs. ANOTHER CVS just moved in a COUPLE blocks away, so CVS must not be hurting too badly in this economy. --Long lines for drop off AND pick up EVERY time I go in. If I had read these reviews beforehand, I would not have suffered through this POS. The people who work here are stupid and feckless. A pick up that should have taken 15mins: took 2 hours. When I arrive the moron behind the counter tells me that they dont have my prescription. They have no record of me or the prescription. I waste 40mins trying to track down where the doctor sent the prescription. I figure out that Im not the idiot here: its CVS. So I call CVS back and they say Because, "You werent in our system. So we didnt process anything. Even though your doctor said that the prescription was vitally urgent." No apology, no empathy. No care that they were depriving me of the medicine that I need to survive. In fact, they made me wait for another 40mins. These people suck. And they should not be working in a pharmacy or garbage collection for that matter. In general this place sucks for taking over Longs Drugs which was the best pharmacy chain I know. They had friendly knowledgable service and alwasy unique items they would bring to the store for sale. Now we got CVS taking over every corner, not to mention they just took the Barnes and KNoble book store location....What a disaster!!! This cvs pharmacy doesn't even deserve 1 star. That's giving them way too much credit. I came in this evening to get my prescription because my other cvs on Palms and Sepulveda ran out. Came here and the staff at the pharmacy were rude and terrible. Ended waiting 20 minutes just to pick up my prescription, which was previously already paid. I needed some laundry detergent, I had some tide coupons to use up before the expire. So I ended up purchasing 4 small bottles. There's 5 registers and only two workers on hand at a 24 hour location. Make sense right? There were a few people in line, I proceeded to self check out. I scanned my items and than my coupons, by the third coupon the register beeped. One worker came and told me that I could only use 2 coupons and that's their policy. I pointed at the description of the coupon and it clearly states 1 coupon per purchase. I purchased 4 which means I can use 4. This worker was dumber than a box of rocks, according to their store policy I could as many manufacturer coupons I want unless specified on the actual coupon itself. I hate this location. I can literally walk from my apartment to this CVS. That parking lot, in general is kind of a nightmare, so I feel pretty fortunate that I'm able to go here, (and the whole strip mall) at my convenience. I didn't find a need to Yelp this joint, as it wasn't outstanding, until the other day. After having a horrible day at work, I walked over to CVS to take care of some of my "needs." Alright alright, I needed to buy a razor. Sheesh! My favorite razor was cheaper when you have one of those savings club thingies. Naturally, because I never really bothered to join one of those club thingies, I knew I was paying the higher price. I got some other "needs" as well. Alright alright, I got some Doritos! Sheesh! Because of the crappy day I was having...a girl deserves some nacho cheese Doritos every once in a while. Anyway, I walk up to the counter, and the cashier was like, "Do you have a discount card?" And I say, "No" with a sad face. The cashier says, "That's okay, I'll give you a courtesy scan, this time around." Wahoo! Dude, I saved myself $2! Thank GOD for this saving grace. (this is about the CVS photo department here) I was in a last-minute crunch to get a passport photo necessary for an application, and @5:00PM I realized I had to get it done and all mailed by 6:00PM the same day. So I wheeled on over to the CVS at Palms Blvd and Sepulveda, walked in, and realized that....The photo machines were down! Are you kidding me?! So I hurry on over to this CVS, and find out their photo machines are working perfectly okay. Woohoo! Then I set down to get my passport photo done. I ask the customer service rep Joe for help, and he tells me that they charge $11.99 for a set of 2 passport photos (can't get a single by itself). Then, he states that there ARE alternatives that I can get. He then shows me how to do it online by myself, and I can still print them off in a 4x6 at CVS which I can then cut! All for a price of...wait for it...$0.29! Yeah buddy! Joe was super helpful during this time of crisis. I got my picture printed in less than 5 minutes (it was supposed to be ready in an hour), got to the Post Office and mailed my whole app in time. I couldn't have done it so quickly and affordably without Joe. I owe him a big one here. I would highly recommend asking for his help, especially in the photo department here. I go to this CVS all the time, but I didn't really appreciate it until I (stooopidly) went to the one on Venice near In n Out. This location is open all the time, as in 24 hours. It's also conveniently situated in the same strip mall as a video store, grocery store, and (importantly) a Baskin Robbins. Staff is friendly and store is well-stocked. New personal pact to always consider this CVS first for ALL my post-midnight needs. read more

So I tried Walgreen's, Rite Aid, and for those from the south I did a short stint with Eckerd pharmacy, but none can compare to that of CVS. Their selection and service surpass all competitors. Example: I go to pick up a prescription and on my way down the aisle to the pharmacy counter I notice some moisturizer I like on sale, sweet. So I go to pay for my lotion and script and the kind pharmacist suggests I buy the script first so that I may procure some coupons and "extra care bucks", something I of course had not thought of, and sure enough out comes $5 in these "extra care buck" which means my on sale lotion will only cost me 2 bucks! The day I came here my only complaint is that the line to checkout didn't move so fast, but there was a lady in front of me who bought a bunch of stuff, then was checking her receipt over and over again and asking questions, wouldn't give up, blah, blah, blah. I used to live in the Culver City area so this was the most convenient 24 hour pharmacy nearby. However, now I live in the South Bay, but I continue to come here b/c I've always been very happy with their pharmacy. When I first started using their services, I found that sometimes if I placed the order online, they didn't receive it, but even when I came to pick up my order to find that out, it'd be ready in 15 minutes or less anyway. Sometimes they are completely swamped so the best time is to come in, in the middle of the night when there are less customers. Being a 24 hour pharmacy, I'm sure they get share of "unique" customers, so remember to be patient and nice to them. With the development of their mobile app and putting prescriptions on automatic refill, it's not so much of a chore anymore. All of their pharmacy employees have been nothing but nice and are very helpful. As far as the front of the store, there's never enough cashiers. One cashier for a significant line is typically the norm. I'd rather them leave the DIY registers open all day if they don't have enough cashiers to ring you up. Random fact, they are always out of baking soda. read more

This is our neighborhood CVS and we just had the worst customer experience with the customer representative Laura. When we pointed out that since the store cannot cut the passport photos to the current size and hence we cannot use them, the store should not charge us the full amount. She refused to empathize, refused to acknowledge the inefficiencies of their system, but preferred to win a verbal war and only escalated and provoked us. In the end she just said "I'm losing more money by the minute you are here so I will give you what you want?" Wow. That's a first!!! She was rude and did not know how to communicate with customers at all. What a shame when her team works hard there and have been doing a good job. This CVS is the most poorly run pharmacy ever! It is always under staffed and some are incompetent. Plan on spending at least one hour in a line to fill a prescription and another hour to wait in line to get it and pay after waiting at least an hour in between!! It's a nightmare operation!!!!
