I called to transfer an prescription from a different Walgreens, the staff looked it up, said it was held up in the other store due to insurance charges, but then the next day they cleared it and got the prescription ready for it. When I came to get the 1st prescription, I had a second one to fill, it was incomplete (missing some key information) and the staff directed me to have my doctor's office call them... the issue was cleared in minutes. I waited about 20 minutes for the whole thing, which to me isn't unreasonable... During the process I sat right outside the pharmacy and saw how busy the staff was - phones were ringing constantly and many prescriptions seem to have issues! I imagine the operation of a pharmacy can be quite complex. But the few people who came during this short period seemed to have gotten what they wanted and left promptly. The store doesn't have a nice front entrance on Wilshire; you have to go to the back where there is a small entrance. The building seems a bit old but inside was clean and organized and the cashier on duty was friendly.

Gaslighting at its finest. I've been waiting an entire month for this medication. When they finally called, I was out of town, but I still contacted them BEFORE the hold date expired. Now magically it's gone? And they already told me before that if people don't pick up certain medications fast enough, they give them to their "regulars." So now I'm left without my medication because Jazmin says so? That's ridiculous. Don't call patients and tell them their prescription is ready if you're just going to give it away and pretend it never existed. I have screenshots, voicemail proof, and the app history. This is beyond unprofessional. THE WORST because them giving my medication to another person, I have to suffer ? NO this is horrible I don't know what kind of business are doing opening my medication to give to some one else.

But here the parking lot's too small. For all the 7-11 options in this 2-mile city this one's not that exciting. Rock 'n' roll Ralphs has way more crazy action. Probably cuz the very entrance of the store is lined with hard liquor. But I digress.

BEWARE - THIEVES - THIEVES - THIEVES - THIEVES - THIEVES - THIEVES - BEWARE - CVS located at 14735 Ventura Blvd. Sherman Oaks, CA My first mistake was sending my 80 year old husband to buy our Christmas gift cards. He paid $650 in cash for 4 cards at $100, 3 at $50 and 4 at $25 plus the activation charges. When these cards are purchased you usually receive a store receipt as well as individual activation receipts. My husband was not given any activation receipts. When he came home with the cards and I asked him for the activation receipts he told me he didn't get any but said I should look at the regular receipt. On the receipt at the bottom there were 11 different lines (one for each card) that said "activated" and then listed the last four numbers of each of the purchased cards. So I shrugged and figured all was okay. Then after giving out some of the cards I get a call from one of the techs at my Vet who thanked me for the $25 card I had given her as a gift. She just wanted to let me know that she tried to use the card and was told it's invalid. This led me to a call this CVS. I asked to speak to a manager and I was asked in turn if I wanted a flu shot. ARE YOU KIDDING ME. The manager, Heather, told me this isn't a store issue it's a corporate issue and proceeded to give me an 800 # to call. I told her point blank that the 4 digit numbers on the receipt do NOT coordinate with the digits on the cards and I firmly believe their clerk Emelita has pulled a fast one. Heather again told me she couldn't help me and I need to call Corporate. She didn't give a damn about any of it or the embarrassment this has caused us. So then I spent 45 mins on the phone with a man named Ken at Corporate who had no interest what so ever with my situation. He was beyond bored and blasé about it all. He listened to the details and told me Corporate would go over my case and make a decision. You have $650+ of our cash money and I have no Christmas gifts to give out and you're going to review things and make a decision. You are all out of your minds if you think I'm going to let this happen. Your damn clerk Emelita scanned cards that she kept and gave my husband unactivated cards. That's how simple this is. I'm still holding my breathe waiting for a call back from Corporate which I was told would take 48 hrs. Talk about a Christmas nightmare. I hope this store and it's crooked employees all go to Hell. I will take you to court to get my money back. I hope you enjoy whatever you buy with my money Emelita. Low life scum that you are. Trust me I will not just let this pass. Bastards and Thieves all of you. This is in regard to my review of 12/11/15 above. Well, Corporate finally left a message for me today 12/16 after 5 full days. I got the message after I got home from work so it was too late to call Corporate back. A dimwit named Stephanie said they went over my receipt and it seems all the cards on the receipt have been activated and if I have any problems I should contact the issuers of the cards who sell them in the CVS stores. OF COURSE THE CARDS ON THE RECEIPT HAVE BEEN ACTIVATED. These are the cards your thieving clerk kept and then gave my husband the unactivated cards. YOU ARE A MORON STEPHANIE. You haven't addressed the real issue at all. TOMORROW I GO TO MY LOCAL POLICE STATION. This will not end without a lawsuit. I guarantee it. read more

This is one of the worst locations in the west Hollywood area of CVS is when you go to get a prescription it takes you three hours and I'm not exaggerating when I say that second of all every time you go to self check out they monitor you like you're a thief and you're on your back when you're trying to purchase things which I feel is very prejudiced because I'm a dark skin person second of all the manager is a sweet man always goes out of his way to try to help me but the employees are just too much at eight maybe it's just as busy area but it just takes forever in that store and I don't like the way when you go to self check out that they always feel people are stealing when you're just trying to be normal No matter if you're black white brown Asian don't profile people love being thieves just because I'm a dark skin person with dark hair but that's America today thank you very much Donald Trump read more

I had a prescription called in from my doctors at Cedar Sinai for use that evening. I was there waiting for an hour as they told me it was "on hold". I waited patiently. Finally I asked what was going on. The guy tells me they don't have the medication. I won't go into details but the incompetence and lack of concern that I felt from the clerk that helped me and how this was handled makes me never want to do business with this pharmacy again. I then called an after hours number at my doctors office, they called the prescription in to a cvs near to my home. I went there and was out in less than 5 minutes. I just noticed most of their reviews are one star. this place should be shut down! Please save me from this pharmacy and West L.A.! read more

This place used to be a freaking dump until they recently refurbished it. The lines were long and very disorganized. I'd be waiting in line for 6 minutes with tons of people behind me....then another register would open up and the cashier would say, "Next in line"....then the asshat in the back of the line who was waiting for 2 seconds compared to my 6 minutes plus would waltz up to the newly opened register. This happened more than once and the staff were super bitchy. Now they have self serve check outs and its a dream come true. No line, no nasty cashiers...I"m in and out without having to converse or wait. Perfect. read more

Worst CVS PHARMACY in all of Los Angeles, I'd go as far as to say possibly all of US. The pharmacy is bearable when the whore isn't around, and the whores name is Jill. I honestly cant believe why she still works there, and to top it all off, she's the supervising pharmacist, PATHETIC. On many different occasions I have witnessed her insult and rudely speak with customers. She has no people skills, never gives a direct answer, and just by her running her mouth irritates half the people in line. WORST PHARMACIST imaginable. I had a cocktail of heroin and cocaine daily. My addiction was bad. I was constantly looking for more drugs. I always needed to be high and get out of myself. My relationship with my wife and children was strained. I went to CA Drug CVS Pharmacy Center and it hit me. During my stay, I realized I hadn't done anything hurtful to anyone that day and it really felt good. Matthew has been such a constant and knows you by name, which makes such a difference. He's incredibly kind and helpful and always goes out of his way to make sure everything is handled. There's a level of consistency and care from him that you can really count on. The front staff is always kind and welcoming, and Yvette is so warm and helpful. She makes every interaction easy and pleasant. There are also so many other people who work there, and they are all consistently great. I get all my vaccines there as well, and every experience has been smooth, professional, and handled with care. There's just a genuine sense of comfort when you walk in. You feel taken care of, and that peace of mind means everything. It's rare to find this level of consistency and care anywhere, and it never goes unnoticed. This is hands down the best pharmacy experience I've ever had.

While this may be true, it results in horrible service, over-charging, and a lack of ownership accountability. Multiple customers and doctors agree. A disgrace to its history. Very sad.
