I have been a customer at this drugstore for over thirty years , and to the staff in the pharmacy I might as well be a first time customer. I am elderly and get ALL my prescriptions filled here and there are a good many. However there is never a flicker of recognition or any pleasantries passed. Today I was waiting for the customer ahead of me to finish, and when they did, the CVS counter person looked me in the eye and said we are closed for lunch. It was 1:30 pm on the dot. I had three prescriptions to pick up. I was in the store, waiting. No one was behind me. I felt it was an impersonal, uncaring act. CVS is a cold, non consumer centric , corporate, money making machine. Im looking for alternatives. read more

This CVS is below average and doesn't seem professional at all. The service sucks and the people working at the counter are very rude. They have a lot of stock but it's hard to find what you're looking for. The self checkout doesn't work well. They even had a random shelf in the middle of the store that I saw someone trip over. Multiple times they haven't fully filled my pills. I would recommend driving further to go to a different pharmacy than visit here, and I think it is an embarrassment to the CVS company. read more

Count the pills in your prescription medication!! I've been shorted multiple times. Ended up having to change pharmacies.

Well, ignore my last review - it must have been a fluke. The customer service has gone back down the tubes. I looked for something - and couldn't find it. I also couldn't find a sales associate, so I just got in line to check out with the rest of my stuff. I got up to the cashier, and she asked me if I found everything okay. I decided to tell her the truth - that I couldn't find something. I explained what it was (small make-up applicators that I had purchased there previously). She said that things are constantly changing. I asked if she knew about that item. She said I should call the store tomorrow and someone would be able to help me. What???? I should CALL the store tomorrow??? What the heck??? I said thanks, but I am not going to "call" tomorrow. I walked out wondering why she didn't just use the intercom to call for customer assistance, but that would have made too much sense. I found some of the other items I purchased at Shoprite for a SIGNIFICANTLY lower price even after I had a coupon at CVS. I am actually considering returning the rest of my purchase back to CVS, but I don't even want to go back into that store. Ugh. read more

Rude and unhelpful pharmacy staff. Made us wait an hour for a prescription that was sent 24 hours earlier and then said " we don't accept that insurance". When we said we would pay cash they said they 'couldn't deal with it'. This was a non-controlled prescription that was $25 before a Good Rx discount so a cash purchase was not a problem. Unbelievably poor and unprofessional treatment. Now our entire family will avoid CVS stores for any purchases. read more

This review is about the CVS in Chatham Township at Hickory Tree Mall. I've been to many CVS stores and they are all OK except this one. The check out woman was friendly and helpful, or as much as she could be, since she was the only one servicing everybody. But other than that, the experience is always unsatisfactory. It's hard to find things in this store. They are often out of what I am looking for. The self checkout lanes don't work well. Management seems indifferent. While we were there, there was a hold up because a customer was having a problem with a coupon. Little action on the part of management to get the line going. No effort to help people in self checkout who were just standing there because the machine told them "help was on the way" - it wasn't. It took way longer than it should have to just buy a few items. The CVS in Chatham Borough is better so that's where I'm going from now on. read more

For a COVID and flu shot, I went online and set up a CVS account. I followed the prompts for the type of vaccines I wanted, but this CVS store on Shunpike did not come up as an option for making an appointment. The next day, I went into the store. I waited in line, and after 5 minutes, one of the pharmacists from the work area behind the counter shouted, "Can I help you?". I explained the situation, and she said the pharmacy was out of vaccines and she wasn't sure if they would be getting more. Therefore, the store was not an option on the website. I will add that she was not very friendly. The next day, I went to pick up a prescription. I asked the pharmacist if she knew if the store would be getting any more vaccines. She said they were very low on stock and I should make an appointment soon. I said that it was not what I was told yesterday. She was surprised to hear that I was given that information. She asked who I talked with, but I had no idea the woman's name. I reconfirmed with her that there was stock, and she said yes, but it was very low. I spoke to the store manager and another store employee on my way out. They were friendly and tried to provide help. I was told when they get stock, it is in the morning, and I should try the site around 11:00 am. The store should appear as an option to make an appointment. Three different messages. Quite frankly, they should take the signs down in the front of the store that advertises these vaccines are available. I will go elsewhere. read more

This place has a lot in stock but the service is so slow it makes me not even want to go in and drive to a further pharmacy down the road. There is always one person working the counter and they usually have no idea what they are doing. read more

I'm in line at this CVS right now and there's an adorable dog in line in front of me and he's looking right at me, but I don't want to ask to pet it because the owner seems kind of weird and old. Okay, it's my turn to check out now so I have to go. Bye. (5 stars for the dog, 4 for the CVS) read more
