The Baseline: For a pharmacy there must be a good amount of medication for ailments, extras for the home/pantry, and ease of finding items. Pharmacy: Good selection of over the counter medications with brand names and generics. Always good amount of sales on items so you need your CVS account active. Selection: Good amount of other items available. There is a Ralph's next door so they are competing against a grocery store on their food items. Service: Self check out kiosk and there is an associate at the counter. Very helpful and nice. Facility: Relatively clean and organized. Secure and safe location at the Manhattan Village.

    This is it!

The photo department is a joke and waste of time, I should have gone to Walgreens down the street. Corina the lady with long black hair was in charge of photos and even though I received an email my photos were ready they were not. She had me thumbing through someone else's photos because some of mine were in there... like what?! There was a lady on the floor cutting photos. This was after the fact I waited at a register for about 10 min while they looked for my photos. The photos look like pixilated like a computer print out from 2005. I asked for a discount for poor service and she said no and she said if I want to pay $24 to be some sort of cvs VIP and receive discounts that way. Like are you serious right now, I'm never coming back to this location I'm not spending MORE money ... am I on Punked? This location is out of touch

Don't even bother with this pharmacy. Staff are not friendly and wait times are ridiculous. Even to call in was 45 minutes

I happened across Rite Aid's El Segundo's Grand Ave. location because I couldn't find parking in the area to meet some friends next door at The Standard Station Sports Bar & Grill, and my Catholic guilt got the better of me. I always made it a habit whenever I parked at a business I initially had no intention of visiting, I would go inside and make a small purchase as a sort of "payment" for parking on their premises. Now that my conscience was cleared, I quickly reflected on the company's recent bankruptcy filing news. The company that took over Thrifty's decades ago was now on its seemingly last legs. I've had fond memories of both companies, so this visit was kind of bittersweet. Was I all right with this particular location before its demise!? PURCHASE Resse's Pretzels Miniature Cups 9.9oz Bag ($5.99): I was a fan of all the yummy sweets throughout the Reese's brand, so when I saw this in the nearly-empty Halloween candy section, I grabbed it because it sounded good and it was the last one so it looked sad there all by itself. Once I finally tore this bag open and shared it with my friends, each tiny cup was packed with crunchy pretzel pieces covered with smooth peanut butter and delectable chocolate. It was as good as expected - yummy! https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=LVCD_bwXBXM5UDwLiU72KA&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw SERVICE Because I had no idea what I was going to purchase before I entered, there was no need for any customer assistance. As I whizzed through the store, I came to the candy aisle and my decision was made. I quickly went to the self-checkout counter, paid, and I was out the door in minutes. I saw one employee serving Thrifty's Ice Cream, one cashier, and one other employee stocking the shelves. All was good! PARKING (FREE) Located within the Grand Park Plaza, they were on their own standalone corner and had their own private lot with a ton of spots - 'nuff said. ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE A medium-sized building that was clean and organized inside with easy directions and labels for each section along with spacious aisles. The pharmacy was at the very back, the refrigerated and frozen coolers also along the back and side walls, the ice cream counter up front close to the registers, and a surprisingly assorted well-stocked liquor section. A decent amount of natural lighting came through the front glass windows and doors while plenty of soul-sucking fluorescent electric ceiling lights covered the rest. I didn't recall seeing any TVs but Top-40 music played in the background. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=xxKABnVWyX0xms7iHFED6A&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL El Segundo's Grand Ave. Rite Aid location was perfectly fine for my needs although probably wholly not theirs. On my quick casing of the joint, everything was kept clean, organized, and what you'd expect from any other Rite Aid if you've ever been in one. And, they still had Thrifty's Ice Cream, so buy it now while you could! Honestly, I had no idea how long this location would be around since the bankruptcy, so I wished them the best. The prices may be a touch higher due to convenience and economies, and you may not find all the brands out on the market but possibly lesser-known ones. I found very good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $6.00 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... AMEX! 4.0 STARS

They always greet you when you walk in and the staff is always beyond friendly. My wife recently gave birth and we were able to pick up her discharge medications immediately on our way home from the hospital. There are never lines there like the big chain pharmacies. There is something very special about locally owned pharmacies. They do not have to answer to a corporation- their only goals is to serve their community and take care of their patients. South Bay Pharmacy is very patient centered and I'd recommend this pharmacy to anyone in the area. We need to continue supporting our locally owned businesses. Keep it up guys (and ladies)!

Not only was my medication not ready in a week (should have been by next day), but I was provided NO update on their inability to deliver the medication. And I was given no notice of their inability to remedy the situation (pharmacist vacation schedule) or proactive solution to send the script to someplace that could help In a timely fashion. I am obviously incredibly frustrated, and recommend that others DO NOT put their health in this team's hands.

Every single staff member I've interacted with has been pleasant, professional, and genuinely helpful. What really stood out to me is their communication. Whenever I call, they actually answer and if they miss the call, they call back. I cannot even explain how rare that feels these days. At my previous CVS, I would be on hold forever and never receive a callback. Special shoutout to the pharmacist Ariel (I hope I'm spelling her name correctly). She went above and beyond to help me and took the time to make sure my needs were met. You can tell she truly cares about patients. People are usually quick to leave reviews only when something goes wrong, and I don't think that's fair. Hard work, kindness, and excellent service deserve to be recognized too, not just the bad experiences. This team absolutely deserves the praise.

The positive pros... the staff are always friendly. It's in a Target, so if you have to wait for a prescription to get filled, you can always kill time to window shop or actually shop here. You can multi-task errands.
