I recently moved by Pharmacy here from the CVS on Oside/College because I didn't like the area (too many bums hanging around). Not knowing this was only slightly better, you still get weirdos from 7-11 and people hanging around at night from In N Out. I think the parking lot lighting could be better, lots of shadows. The pharmacy is faster, less crowded, but the store is worse. Less selection, less deals. Less offerings on services. I almost never grab things here before I pick up my prescriptions like at other CVS's. I try to come here in the day time only now. I also don't smoke, or drink anymore, so not picking up my old Bacardi Limon handles like I did 15 years ago. read more

Older woman with glasses and shoulder length gray hair was very rude . Her coworkers were much more polite. I came in very respectful and not only did she not know how to perform her job, when she finally figured it out she attempted to keep my big bills and give me back the small ones without having the courtesy to ask. When I asked for my big bills back she seemed annoyed. When we finally completed the transaction, she screamed NEXT instead of a thank you or have a nice day. CVS employees and pharmacy staff work really hard for the customers. Many go above and beyond to help you. Also they smile and make sure you get what you came in to buy. The pharmacy will have prescriptions ready when they say. I have been to other places and you have to call over and over to get your prescriptions filled. This CVS does a great job! I've been picking up prescriptions at this CVS on Frazee Rd for a few years whenever I'm in Southern California, and let me tell you, the chaos is consistent. Impressively consistent. If reliability were the goal, this place would be winning awards. For today's episode of "Why am I still here?" I decided to skip the drive‑thru (because that line moves slower than dial‑up internet) and walk inside. Big mistake. Huge. There were two people at the counter and one in the drive‑thru... all being helped by the same person. Three registers. One man. One headset. One soul fighting for his life. And the best part? His name is Tony Stark. I genuinely thought I was being punked. But no, Iron Man himself was out here juggling three customers at once, politely, patiently, and with the kind of emotional endurance I can only assume comes from years of pharmacy combat. I had one person in front of me and still spent 20 minutes waiting. Not because Tony wasn't doing his job, he was doing everyone's job. The real slowdown came from the customers who operate at exactly two speeds: slow and slower. Meanwhile Tony is over here running the register, the drive‑thru, the phones, probably the entire multiverse. This location is painfully understaffed. Painfully. Someone, somewhere, please send this man help. Not tomorrow. Not next week. Today. Right now. Stop reading this and go hire five people. And before anyone thinks this was just an off day, it wasn't. They are disorganized. For controlled substances, I have to call for a refill, when the doctor has sent the order a few days in advance. Sometimes they say they'll process it when it's due, but that almost never happens. I end up calling again to request the refill, and when I arrive on the day they told me it would be ready, no one seems to know about it. Then I have to start the process all over again. It's extremely frustrating. Additionally, their lunch break is listed as 1:30-2:00, but they often reopen 10-15 minutes late, which adds to the inconvenience. I will change the pharmacy. read more

This review was precipitated when I wanted my prescriptions delivered and had a confirmation date on Wednesday only for CVS to cancel the order on Thursday. I tried to call the pharmacy, left a message for a callback but never received the call. Pharmacists NEVER take calls because their phone system is set up in a way that that customers can never get through because CVS doesn't want to communicate with customers, like human beings. The CVS customer care call center is in the Philippines and damning proof that patients and customers are not worth CVS's time. The atmosphere in CVS is chaotic and I am happy because I can have my prescriptions delivered through Optum RX. read more

This CVS pharmacy is one of my favorite stores to shop. It has a little bit of everything when you are in a hurry and forget something (munchie's, toothbrush, makeup, water, cold remedies, etc.). The store is clean, organized, and always stocked. The entire staff is friendly, very helpful, and willing to help. I would recommend this CVS over any others in Oceanside. read more

I didn't catch her name but she was at the cash register saved me from buying new pants today (September 28th, 2025 around 1300). I had close call with surprise for tummy trouble. I mouthed "bathroom" and she told me where and then RAN to unlock it. She was so sweet and understanding. No mocking or acting like it's a hassle to unlock the restroom. Just compassion. This pharmacy is the worst, they never answer the phone, when they put you on "hold" they disconnect you. The customer service is non-existent. When you leave multiple messages they never call you back. Could they hire some people that actually gave a damn about helping people get the medications they need???? They are putting people at risk of ending up in the hospital, all because they are super lazy and horrible at doing their job, which is to help get customer's prescriptions filled. Avoid this pharmacy at all costs. Ive had so many bad experiences here but today was the last straw. I went in to get chemotherapy cream for possible skin cancer on my face. I had 2 simple questions for the pharmacist (which I had to ask to speak to, even though its pretty standard for the first time you get a medication)... Not only did she not make eye contact with me and acted like I was bothering her by asking questions, she did not even look at the medication I was asking her about (clearly said apply 2 times daily). I asked if the medication makes my entire body photosensitive, or just where I use the cream. She lectured me about wearing sunscreen all over my body anyways and did not answer my question. When I asked how long should I wait until after the chemo application to apply sunscreen. She said just put it on at night..... THE DIRECTIONS SAY TWICE A DAY SO ONE APPLICATION PER DAY IS NOT GOING TO BE NIGHTTIME. Anyway, I read the pamphlet and got my questions answered. I will never get a Rx filled here again. read more

I stood in line for Pharmacy pick-up, I was told that I need to go to the other window. I was picking up a GLP-1 RX. Then I stood by the other window and indicated what I needed to pick up, the blonde pharmacist was very nasty to me and complained that it was the drop-off window. She then told me to stand in line again at the other window. By this time the line was long. I asked if I had to stand in line again. She said that I do and that I have to wait anyway. I am a senior citizen on crutches. This pharmacist is very nasty and should not be dealing with customers. She had an ID on her that states she was the Pharmacy Manager. I asked if she was the manager. She then pointed me to the manager. I approached the manager and told him my experience. Manager defended the Pharmacist. When I turned around, they both laughed behind my back. It was loud that I turned around again, that's when I saw that they were laughing at me behind my back. This is a very bad experience and I've never been mistreated like that before. I will go back to the Douglas Ave, CVS. read more

CVS sucks! October 18, 2023 I had Cervical Spine Artificial Disc Replacement Surgery C5-C7. Dr. Yoos office sent over Rx. Got a text that they don't have Oxycodone and don't know when they'll get it in. Sp, my doctor changed it to Percocet. CVS said the same thing, they don't have it and don't know when any CVS pharmacy will get it. We tried several different pain narcs and same shit with CVS. I just had SURGERY AGAIN April 03, 2024 to remove my Artificial Disc and do a fusion. Couple days before surgery. Dr yoo sent my Rx again to CVS on Frazee in Oceanside and, I got the same bullshit story. I never got the medication needed for post surgery. I told my case manager at scripps memorial hospital and, she sent it to their out patient pharmacy with no problem what so ever. It's a week since my surgery and I called my doctor. They said they would send over a prescription to CVS for my 4 meds. And, of course got the same damn text that they don't have one of the main pain meds I need and, that my insurance wont approve it because its too soon to get Dilauded. So, I called I said to the gentleman that you've been saying this to me since October 2023 and, you still don't have any scheduled pain meds. He said "yup, that's right." Plus your insurance won't approve it. So, called Dr. Yoos off to send over Rx to Walmart. Just got a call from Walmart. All 4 meds will be ready by 6 pm. Had nothing to do with IHC not approving meds. It's about CVS micromanaging and, not giving patients the medications they need. CVS is horrible! Customer service is horrible! read more

I'm done here. Several weeks ago my Dr sent over a prescription for codeine for a chronic cough. A week later still waiting, Dr send it over AGAIN. I called several times, nobofy picked it will pick up, Dr calls several times, same thing. So I GO in and the tell me they don't carry codeine ? WHAT ? You are a DRUGSTORE ! ....WAIT...Another one...I just was there . Menacing bum out front wanting money. I tell the manager. She says we can't do anything. I said if you can't then I will ! I had quite the altercation with him but he did leave. Don't anyone tell me I started it. If we don't get pro active, this town will turn into another Oakland. CVS Pharmacy: 4615 Frazee Road Oceanside CA WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!! I was visiting and needed an emergency refill for my nose spray. I called first and the manager said it will be ready in an hour. After an hour I still didn't received a text that is ready. I still went to double check. So, the girl said after checking my profile that it's too soon. I wondered why? I told her that the manager said earlier that it will be ready in an hour. She told me to go to the other side. Another older lady with very short hair asked me, can I help you? She said it with bad attitude and bad tone. I've noticed it right away. Still, I didn't say anything and she continued helping me and same thing after checking my profile from the computer, she said it's too soon! I told her can you please double check because I was told earlier that it will be refilled and ready and maybe the information that it says too soon is the information that the manager just did an hour ago. I told her also that I haven't refilled this particular prescription for a long time. After checking, it turned out that I was right. So, she said that it will be ready in 15-20 minutes. Supposedly, my prescription was ready for pick up because the manager said it will be ready in an hour but I believed it was ignored or the transaction wasn't finished and I had to double check with them so that the order will be completed. When it's time to pick it up, it was processed for 3 bottles. I asked if I can only get 1. The girl asked the manager and he said to edit the quantity. So, I went to the other side again and same old lady with short hair was actually wondering why I am back that area! I told her I needed only 1 bottle and she said right away that was the order from the computer. Again, she said it with bad attitude. This time I feel that she is rude and not happy in helping me. Anyway, she edit the quantity and when she was done, told me go to the other side! Again, she said it with bad attitude and very rude. I even thank her for helping me but didn't get any response. So, while I was in line to pay for it, I over heard another employee saying and repeating and laughing what the old and short haired lady said for me to go to the other side. I felt mocked, humiliated and disrespected!!! I've asked to speak to the manager but it turned out not a good conversation anymore because they all made me feel mad and I don't want argue and fight with them anymore. It was enough for me to make this VERY BAD REVIEW TO THE MANAGER AND TO ALL THE EMPLOYEES OF THAT PHARMACY. THEY NEEDED TO GET RE-TRAINED AND HAVE MORE RESPECT WITH OTHER PEOPLE. Went in at my pickup time, and they told me it would be a half hour. Which isn't a big deal, kinda annoying but I get it. But 30 later when I go back, they tell me that not only are they out of 1 of the 2 medications, but they're doing inventory so I also can't have the other one. CVS charged my card on file, yet told me it was free as this a supposed to a work comp claim for no fee. When I called after seeing they charged me and noticed they didn't even charge the right insurance company. Mr. Phat called me back, yelled at me, cursed me out, called me names. I absolutely hate this pharmacy. The service is HORRIBLE!!! I once spent over an hour in the drive-thru line after being told my script would be ready. As I waited, I was told numerous time to please move forward and drive to the back of the line. I was given a $5 coupon for my troubles!!! Tonight they said 30 minutes, went back an hour and a half later and was told 30 more minutes. BEYOND upset and frustrated. NEVER AGAIN!!! We'll be driving farther to a different pharmacy. I read her the text. She then found my order. I asked why she couldn't find my order. She said she misspelled my name. No apology. Pharmacist Minh refused to fill my prescription because I hadn't seen my doctor in person within the last year. When my doctor reached out to Minh, he refused to to cite any code or governing body that guided his decision. This is unacceptable. We have regular appointments every quarter and I have been seeing this doctor for this prescription since I was an adolescent; we started telehealth appointments during Covid and have continued remote sessions after I moved away from home. I will no longer be filling my prescription here and have filed a complaint with the Board of Pharmacy; I strongly recommend you take your business somewhere else. read more

Very rude person at the Rx drive-thru. There's gotta be a faster way to Covid testing. I waited in the drive-thru for 30 min past my appointment. Then found out why.. the person at the window gave very vague instructions and was impatiently sighing when you couldn't understand what she was saying. Didn't help that she sounded so annoyed. I can maybe understand why as the person ahead of me was super rude to her, but I didn't like that she took it out on me. I and others in line were confused about where to go for testing/ their prescriptions because they put out a 8.5x11 piece of paper with tiny handwritten instructions on it that had fallen on the floor. This review is strictly in regards to the pharmacist, Mr. Reza Khodadadi, from whom I have received vaccines more than once. The rest of the pharmacy staff, whether at the drive-thru or inside at the desk are okay. I haven't experienced any blatant rudeness, but they generally are either a bit brusque or indifferent. I am extremely disheartened to find with many businesses now that increased wait and cost are also accompanied by a decrease in quality of service. Reza however, is a standout not only in knowledge and skill but also in customer service. I waited approximately 15 minutes past my appointment time, but when Reza called me for the shingles vaccine he was extremely thorough, and patiently answered my questions regarding side effects of the shingles vaccine and the current vaccination booster recommendations for COVID. I've noticed, especially during the rush to accommodate COVID vaccine needs, that many other places have become OK with being sloppy in the preparation and administration of vaccines, disregarding proper technique in favor of expediency (i.e. giving vaccines openly in the main customer area, grimy counters, etc). Here at CVS there are small clean private rooms. Reza was meticulous about proper handling of the vaccines and needles. Also he made sure to advise on the best position of my arm to minimize any pain, and was very gentle in the administration. He treated both my husband and I on a personal basis giving his full attention to our scheduled procedures and not being distracted or rushed. Yes I understand that staffing shortages adversely affect wait times, however his willingness to complete his job at an appropriate pace, spending a few extra minutes in order to make sure all was done correctly and in the best manner possible made all the difference in the world in terms of our trust in CVS. read more

Starting from prescription drop off (she was a total bitch and just said can I help you with the biggest attitude) to pickup and the guy running the drive thru was a total asshole! He practically threw the prescription bags at us! And from reading these other reviews here, I'm pretty sure we're all talking about the same nut case! I'm not sure who's exactly in charge here but the person of whom they have a picture on the wall by pickup was extremely rude.
