I don't know why it's taken me so long to post this. About almost a decade ago now I lived on Cleveland and was walking my dog down to the strand. I ended up being followed by an absolute psychotic predator and at the last moment ran into Wisconsin Market where thank god- Ray was working. He took one look at me shaking almost crying and asked what was wrong. I managed to get out a coherent enough sentence to explain what was happening and he just grabbed a wooden bat from behind the counter ran outside and swung it at my stalker who took off running. Ray told me to run home immediately and chased the guy down the St screaming he messed with the wrong girl. I made it home safely that day because of Ray. Less than two weeks later I went back to Wisconsin and Ray was working again, when he saw me he got real serious and called me over to him. To my horror he showed me 3 photos of the guy who'd followed me asking if that was him- when I confirmed he told me that a week ago he'd dragged another woman down an alley way only two streets away from my house beat her and tried to grape her. He was stopped when two marines heard the woman screaming came to her aid and beat him up and subdued him till cops came. Ray gave me the DAs card who wanted my testimony of what had happened to me. I don't know what came of it as the story was never in the news or anything but thank God the Marines saved that woman in time. Also thank God Ray was working that day as he saved me and possibly even my life that day. I just wanted to give him the recognition he deserves. read more

This is a review for the wonderful staff at Wisconsin Market including Ed, the overnight attendant, who returned my wallet to me after I left it there over the weekend only to realize after I had already returned to San Francisco. Even though it took multiple calls and coordination they sent my wallet to me and kept me updated on the status of things. As for the market it's a wonderful neighborhood gem that has everything you need for your time at the beach. Shop here before you make a run to CVS or RiteAid to support the community. read more

ICE CREAM GALORE They got new fridges full of all kinds of ice creams! They got Haagen Daz pints of every flavors not just coffee strawberry but white chocolate raspberry truffle or caramel cone. Ben & Jerry's. Mexican fruit bars w/ tajin. Popsicles. Etc Impressed with their food items here too! They have pastas like gnocchi, ramen, sauces, ethnic food like condensed milk, coconut milk, siracha hot sauce. They even have stuffing mix! Lots of meats and cheeses for a good chatucherie plate and deli meats for sandwiches. Even a head of lettuce lol. They definitely have everything you need here! read more

ZERO STARS IF I COULD. I ordered TWO 12oz 6 packs from Door Dash. What I received was ONE 6 pack with TWO BEERS MISSING because "they didn't have they didn't have the correct inventory?" You guys stole from me. You have the power on Door Dash to cancel an item when not in stock, but instead, you give me 4 out of the TWELVE beers I ordered. Yeah right. read more

Perfect lil market for grabbing late night snacks or quick drinks. Stays open pretty late. Always very friendly staff.

The cashier was friendly and the alcohol options were plentiful. Came in when we were nearby at a family party at a beach house on Oceanside Boulevard. Picked up some fireball, ginger ale, and a 12 pack of Coors. The price point was okay at about $40 for everything. The walking distance from the beach was convenient. read more

Went in for a bottle of wine. Three staff members there, no masks. Two other customers there, no masks. They want your business but don't care about your health. When I asked about their no masks needed policy, I was met with a shrug of the shoulders. Bought a $16 bottle of wine. It was one of the worst I've had. Poured most of it down the drain. read more

The Wisconsin Market is super cnvenient if you live by the strand in Oceanside. We buy specialty beers, postage stamps, lotto and anything random you forgot to buy on the trip to the store for dinner- like ice, a fresh onion or soda. They charge 75 cents to use a card if it is less than $15. Overall, a gem. read more

My wife and I took an 8 mile walk up from Carlsbad to Oceanside and we could use a soda. This market is n Wsconsin Street, thus the name. They had 99 cent sodas, but I noticed they had a great beer and booze selection too. If I was staying closer too here this would be my beer store! read more

Sam Is always helping me out with different Vape flavors, and he is great with alcohol recommendations as well. I didn't realize how extensive their collection was when it came to alcohol, but whenever I can't find some thing he knows where it's at or at least lets me the know that he can order it for me, since I live in the neighborhood. Staff are super cool, n friendly! Great wine selection. They have a variety of beer n liquor. Also they sell lottery tickets n scrathers.

This place is the absolute best for snacks and treats. It is centrally located which makes it very convenient. We enjoyed the wide variety of options that the Wisconsin market has in stock, whether it's suntan lotion, sweet tea, chips, alcohol, or food. They have it all. I want to love this place but it is so hard too. They over charge you for everything. I bought 3 beers and the total came out to 25.00 when I added the total of all 3 beers and tax it was about 5.00 off of the total. I am not sure where the extra 5.00 came from. It's location is convenient but their items are overpriced. read more

k so this place is a lil old but has everything u could need for a beach day. Spendy but what do u expect for being next to the beach. Doesnt have a deli or anything like that just ur usually store items like soda and drank. The best part is the liquer they have there. Pretty wide range of stuff, top shelf as well as cheap shit. Why would you leave your bubble if you can just walk to Wisconsin Street Market ? I've been a long time customer and I can't tell you enough how often I'm running over getting odds and ends. Although it's a tad pricey, that's the price you pay for not having to drive anywhere duh! The owners are always around and everyone else that works there is always such a pleasure, especially Jack. From a specialty beer or a seasonal offering from our local craft brewery's here in North County or a 24 of PBR for some beer pong, this place has got it. From the vast selection of liquor, to the bottle of Fireball chilling in the freezer, this place is stocked to the hilt. Offering the obvious extras like wood bundles for the fire rings at the beach, to propane tanks and ice, there isn't much that has been over looked here. I don't often do reviews on yelp, but I felt goodness had to be rewarded. This is a fun little grocery store where you can get basic necessities. It is not a full-service grocery store. But if you need small things it's a great place to go. The man that owns it is one of the kindest sweetest guys! Makes you want to prop up I chair and stay a while.
