To make sure we get our CVS pharmacies right, the address for this Yelp listing is the CVS inside Target. Don't let the pictures of the one that closed across the street that was next to Trader Joe's. I know I checked into the wrong one a couple of times. Now that the one at the Village of Orange is closed, this is the closest CVS to me, although CVS originally transferred all my prescriptions to the CVS on Katella. For the most part, this CVS is fine. It can get busy, but then all of them can. What's challenging about this one is the hours are shortened compared to most stand-alone CVS's. This isn't good for people who work and might not be able to pick up prescriptions during the day. The other thing about this location is they often run our of over-the-counter medication, especially around cold and flu time. On the plus side, I've received my last couple of flu/covid shots here and found them to be very friendly and helpful. I always make an appointment which helps, but if a walk-up comes before you check in via the app, you might still be waiting 10-15 minutes. However, I appreciate the fact that they take their time with people and don't rush into just jabbing them with a vaccine and kicking them to the door. read more

I previously gave this CVS in the Orange Target store 4 stars. My review was based on the good customer service provided by members of the pharmacy team. That hasn't changed. I'm changing that rating to a negative review because I'm totally frustrated with the automated AI system they're now using. It has made talking to an actual person in the pharmacy department almost impossible. I have tried everything to circumvent the automated system and haven't found a way to do that. Many of the AI `bots' used by other businesses that I have encountered are responsive, and communication is interactive. The one used by CVS talks AT you, and can't be interrupted from its programmed monologues. There are times when I need to speak to a pharmacy person directly for my individual needs or questions, but the CVS 'bot' doesn't provide a means for doing that. I'm tired of having to drive miles to Target/CVS just to speak to a pharmacist, when a simple phone conversation is all I need. I've talked to the CVS staff and their response is that CVS is aware of the problem and is working to correct it. I'm inclined to not believe this since months have gone by and nothing has improved. I have even tried calling the Target store customer service desk to be transferred to a pharmacist, but after repeated calls and much wasted time I've discovered that nobody answers that line. read more

So they can't manage to ever pick up I've been calling for days because I can't get there but I need to know if my meds are ready for pickup I call and only ever get the robot who refuses to connect me to a real person and literally provides no answers or help at all it'll tell me I have 10 meds ready for pick up it'll name 6 and none are the ones I actually need then when I try to ask about the meds I actually need I'm told they don't have any information for them so now I have to find a way to get there just to maybe get my meds. This pharmacy has VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE! You can NEVER actually talk to a human. You have to either text them or leave a phone message and hope they get back to you. In my case, they NEVER called me back or texted me regarding a refill that they were supposed to refill for me. Another NICE thing they did for me is to refuse to answer SIX phone calls from my new pharmacy requesting them to transfer over my records. The new pharmacy called them 6 times. Been going to this CVS location for many years. It's really getting run down and very tired looking. Carpet desperately needs to be replaced, as well as everything else updated. Parking here is always a bit of a challenge. Trader Joe's is right next door and they seem to monopolize most of the available parking spots. Also, make sure to be prepared to use your aggressive driving skills to navigate getting in or out of a parking spot. It's absolutely crazy in that lot. They finally attended me after they got done chit chatting, just to tell me that they've been closed for 1 minute already and that the system shuts down at 6 . So I got there at 5 :45 and they got to me at 6:01 . I understand they don't want to stay after but this is medicine it's a restaurant. 2015 yelp challenge. 130/365. **updated review** The last few times Ive been here the line is ridiculous. One cashier and lines are often 8 deep. The pharmacy also always has a line. There is no excuse for this. Either schedule more cashiers or install self checkouts. That would be more convenient. Better yet, keep an eye out through the one way mirrors and pay attention to the solo cashier and line of customers. My last few visits here, Ive found myself waiting. Prices here are average drugstore prices. Once in a while buy one get one 1/2 off on beauty products. Over the counter medication pricing is more expensive than Target or Walmart. The only plus is, they have a variety of cold drinks and waters. This is something TJs, Vons, Sprouts don't have or have eliminated from their stock. Worst Pharmacy I have ever been to.... customer service is a joke! Came in as a new member and the person behind the counter essentially told me he didn't know how to enter me into the system so I was better off going to the CVS across the street. Realizing that I was about to go off, the only pharmacist ran up and offered to assist me with entering my information into the system. Granted he helped but he was snarky, rude and seemed like I was a burden to him. He then advised that he was the only one working so it would be about 2 hours so I advised I would leave and come back in 2 hours. 4 hours later I return and the pharmacist rudely states that because I said I was going to leave, he didn't bother to start my RX and it would be another 45 minutes. I'm liiiiiivid at this point because it shouldn't take this long for one RX and no apologies given or kindness shown. Once I received my Rx the pharmacist rudely handed it over and said "Thank you" to which I simply ignored because I was so done with this CVS. As I walk away I hear, "ya ur welcome" and I turn around and say "I'm not" and keep it movin. Same day I followed the original employees suggestion and transferred my RX to the CVS down the street. So long story short..... unless ur dying and it's the only pharmacy within a 10000 mile radius AVOID!!! read more

Went in here one night to buy an Odwalla C Monster, because I felt like I was getting a cold and those always help out a lot. These jacks didn't have any, but in their food section everything looked like it way overpriced. I know this is not a grocery store, but still, there is a Trader Joe's right next door, they might as well try to be competitive. Also, everything on the shelves was a freaking mess. The place looked like it had just been looted. I didn't really check out the pharmacy side, maybe its worlds better then the food, but from what I saw this place is a bit of a catastrophe. Had a precsription transferred to this location from another CVS. Rude dude on the phone tried to say it wouldnt be available for 2.5 hrs! I drove to this location ask if there is any way to expedite the prescription. Nice gentlemen asks the pharmacist if they could expedite since I had already waited 1.5 hrs. Nice dude then gets chewed out in front of customers by a cranky ass balding co-worker. Completley unrpofessional and uncalled for. I NEED DRUGS!!! SERIOUSLY!!! THESE PEOPLE WILL GIVE YOU DRUGS!!! YAY! There is only one caveat... you need a perscription to get the druggies... So I had just utilized the minute clinic here and needed the drugs to fight whatever was ailing me... and while there was a short line (like 3 people) to drop off the Rx, it went fast. Pro Tip: Shop around or grab five guys next store while waiting for your perscription. It took about 15 minutes for my drugs to be put together and inserted into a container or three. You pay at the pick up point. They also have the pharmacist talk to you if there is something odd or special about whatever narcotics they are giving you. Consequently, they have a special spot set up for that next to the pick up counter to give some semblance of privacy. However, they pharmacist parrots whats on the label saying eat this with food or dont drink alcohol or something may cause drowsiness... Overall I was happy with my experience here. It was quick efficient and painless. I will likely be returning before too long. read more

Like previous reviewers mentioned, dealing with this pharmacy makes you want to be prescribed additional medication just to deal with them. It's true, the bald guy gives you an attitude and give you a dirty look even if I try to greet him with a pleasantry. He looks and acts like there's always something stuck up his ass. He never says thank you and thinks he's doing me a favor. He should work at a place like DMV if he hates his job and people so much. Waited 20 minutes to drop off prescription only to have pharmacy tech tell me that they aren't taking prescriptions because they close at 9. It was 8:15 when I arrived here. Nobody was waiting for prescription and they could've taken my prescription and filled it. This is my spot to come and grab some brews after work. They usually always have a good sale going on and are reasonably priced. Sure you may find a better deal at Walmart to save a Buck or two, but Walmart is not always a guaranteed in and out trip. Staff hers is always really nice and friendly. Sometimes you can get hit with a long line if they only have one person working but they usually call for back up to help. Five minutes later another lady comes in to pick up her prescriptions and is told they will expedite her fill. They immediately fill her prescription and I am left sitting here. It's a CVS...not a South Coast Plaza boutique...with that having been said... Have gone to pharmacy several times...on two occasions I've had to ask for assistance as to what I should purchase and both times, the men behind the counter (I need to go back and get their names) put down what they were doing and walked over to the aisle for the products in question and hand picked what they used for similar situations. Both times the product nailed the problem. Also, I recently had a prescription filled...flawlessly. I am not going to speak to what happened to other CVS patrons...but I left my Dr.'s office...20 min. I was at this CVS...it was ready. Lastly, I agree...darn fine prices on alcohol...purchased a 12 pack of Shocktop back in the spring on sale...equal to prices at Total Wine and Spirits. Checked out the alcohol aisle after picking up the aforementioned prescription pick up...I will be going back... Korbel Champagne and alcohol in general...when you buy 6 bottles...again.. prices equal to Total Wine/BevMo... Never choose this CVS store. VERY POOR SERVICE. Make sure you're given your receipt because nowadays you cannot trust people who may be capable of padding your bill. One word: HOT MESS! I've never had such a hard time trying to get my prescriptions! I've been frequenting this CVS a lot over the past month since this mysterious illness that has taken my voice for over a month! My doctors are ahead of the time by writing prescriptions over the computer to save time, so by the time you come to CVS they should be finished already.. NOT! This CVS is ALWAYS understaffed and it shows in their work! My prescriptions are never ready when I come in! Last week my mom called for me asking to know the status of my medicine and the guy over the phone goes "oh its in the computer did you want me to fill it?" SERIOUSLY? What kind of question is that? I think "ok" is the best way to describe this CVS. They have a pretty good selection and the staff are helpful. Unfortunately, as with most CVS's, they are in cahoots with the prescription companies, so I wouldn't get your prescriptions here. They're quite overpriced. There is always such a wait at this pharmacy I switched from my medical building pharmacy because this one is closer but there is always some sort of problem when I come inn. Today one of my prescriptions it was suggested I come back tomorrow I asked if they had it and I'd wait since I've been out of it! They said yes so I said I'm going next door to trader joes I'll be back so I went grocery shopping and came back waited in an extremely long line about 15 min? Then was told they didn't have my prescriptions on stock? It's never not been in stock before? The people are friendly, but it took upwards of 40 minutes and they had me shuffle back and forth between 2 different lines to get my son's prescription filled. All while I'm holding him. I just had the pleasure of receiving exceptional customer service from I believe the manager Lethie (sorry for the spelling). I was browsing the aisles when she came up and asked if I needed anything, then stroke up a friendly conversation, helped me pick out the best lotion for a new tattoo and she even went to the back and gave me free sample lotions.
