I sometimes come here if I need to get something quick, like a card or some OTC, instead of going to Ralph's and every time I come I always wonder, why Soo? Their selection is so limited, and it's always messy with a long wait at the register. I'd rather go to Ralph's next door, even if Ralph's can get a little crowded. Love to give their pharmacy Zero Stars but Yelp makes you give one. Call 2 days ago to refill my prescription I never heard anything from them When I called to check my prescription nobody answers. One of the worst customer service I have seen. Update 10/12/19: I picked up my prescription on 9/7 after all the issues noted below. When I got home and looked at the bottle, it had the wrong date (9/20/19) to allow the 2 monthly refills so I called and was told it would be corrected. Today I tried to refill and date was not corrected so my refills expired. I tried to call AGAIN but this time no answer after 20 minutes on hold. Soooo I will have to visit in person AGAIN! Absolutely amazing! Original Review 9/7/19: The Pharmacy just sucks! Not properly staffed most of the time. Long lines and/or waits mostly at the pharmacy register. Meds sometimes out of stock or refills messed up as was the case this time. It took over a week along with a call and personal visit to get my prescription filled. Now I need to go back again to finally pick it up. Front of store is not that bad. Prices however are obscenely high for just about anything at regular price. Examples compared to Walmart in same center: 125 Benefiber CVS $27 Walmart $19 Dimatap cold Allergy CVS $9 Walmart $6 Saline spray CVS $5 Walmart $2 I needed all 3: CVS $41 Walmart $27 = -$14 Walmart. And the list goes on. Ok I would expect to pay more not have to spend time in Walmart, but omg that a lot of money. I have just come home from the hospital. I had complete knee replacement. My husband brought all the prescriptions to cvs to be filled. He was from about 1:30-2:30. The lady at the counter said it would take about an hour to fill. My husband then went to the market next door. Upon his return he learned the lady at CVS had run an incorrect i insurance. My husband asked very politely if you t would be another hour, if so he would have brought the groceries home and come back. A male older pharmacist yells out "don't rush us" my husband said I'm not rushing you and screams out from behind the counter, you need the calm down. My husband wasn't yelling he told this man he needed to calm down. The male pharmacist didn't even have the courtesy to walk to the front of the counter. I'm not sure this man should fill prescriptions, he got himself involved with my husband and took his eye if why he was doing. No wonder this store only has 1-1/2 stars read more

i'm pretty sure that the camera they're using for taking photos are outdated (old digi cam). if we're paying $18+ for passport photos, i expect for high quality photos to come out. i had to get mine taken twice but photo still came out poor quality and blurred! im so unhappy with the photo services! seriously. dont go here if you need photo taken! read more

This pharmacy is next to impossible to work with. They changed my prescription from 300MG to 150MG then tried to blame it on the doctor. It took me 20 minutes to get them on the phone. They demanded my doctor call them to verify what I was telling them. My doctor hung up after 30 minutes on hold. My prescription is still wrong, now I'll have to make two trips to Porter Ranch to get it resolved. They have customer disservice, but no customer service. read more

I needed to reorder a prescription and was listening to their recording for over 40 minutes and no one answered. I called the store and they didn't answer until after 4 minutes. The manager transferred me back to the pharmacy and after holding for 10 more minutes I gave up! Time to change pharmacies! read more

You want a terrible pharmacy, one that thinks it is acceptable to make you wait in line for at least 15 minutes to pick up a prescription and then if you want to drop off another prescription make you wait in another line for another 10 minutes and then when you finally get waited on, act like they are doing you the worlds biggest favor, then this is the place for you. And the wait times I just cited happen any day, any time. When you complain about it, the pharmacy and the store manager merely state this is how it is and that CVS does it and that they refuse to adequately staff the the pharmacy and this is how it is. By the way Im typing this review while Im waiting on hold. It took literally 15 minutes for them to get to me. They have no problem substituting medications when you and your doctor say not to substitute. They also have no ability to read your file that says in multiple places not to use child proof caps, and make you sign when you pick up your meds that you agree that its ok to give you non child proof caps and then give you child proof caps. I was willing to deal with the ever present wait at the pharmacy register, but today I am firing this pharmacy! I am sick with an upper respritory infection, struggling to breathe and NEED these scripts filled for antibiotics and inhalers. At 2:30 pm they said they had them in hand and it would be an hour wait. 3 hours later I managed enough energy to go get them... Only to find they had not been filled. I was told 20 more minutes, to which I said, I will be back. Sent my husband back 2 hours later to find it was still not filled and had to wait another HOUR standing there to get them filled. Thank goodness I am not an asthmatic waiting for an inhaler! This is UNACCEPTABLE. I can accept an hour wait, but to be told the wait 3 different times oniy to find it was not even touched is dishonest and to take almost 6 hours to get a script filled is as unprofessional as it gets barring a tech or unforeseen crazy circumstance, none of which were at play. This is bordering on negligence. I will be calling the regional office tomorrow. read more

Every time I go to this pharmacy I get absolutely frustrated. My prescription has NEVER been ready on time. Okay, I think I can vaguely recall once or twice. I pick up my prescription once a month, you'd think that is easy, right? Wrong! There is always a line and I've tried to go at different times. The staff, isn't all that friendly and they just look hurried or over worked and probably under staffed with the phone constantly going off. So my prescription is on auto refill. It should be filled BEFORE I run out...is that so hard to ask for? I go in on Sundays...sometimes Monday when I've already run out and it's not ready. EVER. I finally said something and asked that since it's never ready when I need it if they could change the auto refill for a day or two earlier. Their advice was to just call in the refill. Are you kidding me? Doesn't that defeat the purpose of "auto refill"??? So I'm giving them one last chance. I called in my prescription yesterday and said I need it today (Sunday) we'll see if it's ready. If not...I'm switching to Walgreens. Okay...I went into CVS around 2pm today (Sunday) and stated my name and he looked for my prescription and it wasn't in the basket...GO FIGURE! He checked the computer and said, "Oh, we are in the process of filling it now." Then he printed out the prescription and went to fill it. Was that code for "Oh, it hasn't even been printed yet, but since you're here, I'll get right on it." I'm done. Thank you for two years of frustration at least once a month. Frustration no more because you broke the last straw. I'm no longer a CVS customer. It really sucks that you bought our Longs because Longs was a great pharmacy! read more

It is flabbergasting how this place operates in the midst of a global pandemic. NO ONE in there enforces that masks be worn. Not only does LA's indoor mask mandate dictate that masks MUST be worn indoors, this is a PHARMACY where sick people go to pick up their meds, and where people go to get vaccinated, meaning they're not yet protected. So it's UNCONSCIONABLE that NONE of the staff in there cares at all about enforcing masks. Every time I go, there's a long line and usually only 1 person at the register. Also, they have hung up on me multiple times after putting me on long holds. I have to call multiple times before I can reach an actual person. I'm not sure if there's something wrong with their phone lines or if the people working there are incompetent. So frustrating. I went in to pick up my prescription because i have a bad back am i am in pain. They told me 10 minutes, which was fine. I went back after 10 minutes or so and they said they did not have the medication. This is not the first time I have had issues at this location (Porter Ranch). Every time I have had to go and pick up a prescription, there was an issue. They either could not find my prescription or lost it. This has happened every time, not just once in a while. I have been patient, but now my patience has run out. I will no longer be going to CVS for my prescriptions. I transferred it to another pharmacy. FOR PHARMACY** I moved to the area not long ago. Before I was at the Encino(16416) location which was great! This one is a nightmare! Staff is horribly trained and managed corporate does nothing to enforce better service. They are slow, don't pick up the phone. Lines out the door because of their slow service at check out or drop off. Pharmacy staff often seen drinking Starbucks coffee while working. Run out of here as fast as you can. Better yet, don't even enter. I'm speaking solely on my experiences - yes, the monthly visits to pick up prescription medications throughout the last 10 months - in the pharmacy. There is one pleasant Hispanic woman that is always as sweet as can be but unfortunately they don't have her interacting with the customers whenever I'm there. Instead I deal with long lines and absolutely rude behavior. This evening I went to pick up my medication and they gave me a substitute because the brand I have been using for the last 5 years was out of stock. Not only did they pull a switcharoo on me but she didn't even tell me. I check my meds all the time and opened the bag to find a box I have never seen before. And... These are my hormones. Helloooooo pharmacists... You can substitute just about any other drug but not hormones. Ok- with that said I told them I would prefer to return and wait for the product I was prescribed to come in and the lady tells me she isn't sure when the product will come it. Not a good experience today at the cvs pharmacy. Was there 30 at 430, pharmacist said that she could fill my prescription. My name gets called 30 minutes later and she says that the Dr needs to be called to give authorization to give pills and of course it's now 5pm and my dr is closed. Couldn't you of determined at 430 you needed to call my dr? She says, come back Monday. I'm in pain today, feels like it could of been handled much better by the pharmacist. read more

This is the worst pharmacy I have EVER had the misfortunate of attempting to fill a prescription. I called ahead and had a prescription transferred from another CVS, and Charles told me that he could have it ready at 2:30. I went to pick-up my prescription at 3:45. The customer ahead of me was taking forever because their prescription was not in stock, but I finally made it to the front... only to be told the SAME thing! They said that they did not have my prescription in stock, and even had the gall to say that they were surprised ANYONE could ever fill my prescription. I have NEVER had a problem filling this prescription at any other pharmacy ever! I was in disbelief by their excuse and by the fact that they failed to call me to let me know that my prescription could not be filled. I straight up asked the pharmacist if he enjoyed wasting my time with his substandard customer service. He stared at me blankly. Didn't even apologize. I then asked him if he could find a CVS that DID have my prescription, and he replied that it would be difficult (really?). I requested that he check the Encino location because it is very close to my office, and he said he was going to call the Tarzana location instead, because it was closer to the Porter Ranch location. I told him no, I wanted it in Encino, and repeated, yet again, that I worked near that location. He then proceeded to insist upon calling the Tarzana one, saying that I didn't want to drive all the way to Encino. SERIOUSLY!? I would like to hope that this was a fluke for this pharmacy, but based upon other reviews, I don't think I can give them the benefit of the doubt. I called the Walgreens in Chatsworth to fill my prescription instead, and what a shock, they had my medication on stock... the woman couldn't believe CVS didn't! Sheesh. In short, if you value your time and would like to avoid dealing with quite possibly the most incompetent pharmacy staff ever, fill your prescription elsewhere! read more

This pharmacy team deserves -100 stars. If you need them to contact your doctor for a prescription refill, good luck to you. I've tried calling and using their app. Both are a waste of time. I'm always required to call my doctor and have them call the pharmacy. They claim to have "tried" contacting my doctors but magically, all of my doctors never get their requests. The staff is rude. I rarely write negative reviews, but I (and so many other people I know) have had awful experiences here. I had an emergency wisdom tooth removal and was prescribed Percocet as a pain reliever. A relative of mine was the dentist who performed the surgery and I was in excruciating pain. I went to pick up my prescription, and the pharmacist so rudely told me she will not fill my prescription because a relative wrote it. First of all, she is a DMD WHO PERFORMED MY EMERGENCY WISDOM TOOTH REMOVAL. I was left in unbearable pain because of a stupid rule that a "manager" of the pharmacy made up. This is so unacceptable! The next day, I went to Rite Aid on Zelzah and they were so kind and helpful and filled my prescription. Save yourselves the hassle and just go to Rite Aid, CVS is useless and beyond rude read more
