There is a particular bright white pill that just works magic for me! Is plentiful here as far as I know! Not for everyone I've found, but nevertheless! While I fully support nepotism, I think it's wrong what he's doing. Horrific pharmacy. The manager frequently lies to get you off the phone sayng they have a medication, when they don't, and leaves you to call daily until you give up. They won't transfer anything, so you just have to accept their lies and try to track it down somewhere else. No one is responsive, pleasant, or helpful. DO NOT USE THIS PHARMACY. Staff is incompetent, customer service is non-existent, and there are SO MANY other options locally (Fox Mill Giant Pharmacy is fantastic: 2551 John Milton Drive PH: 703-620-9664) The service and professionalism at the CVS at South Lakes Plaza have been going downhill for years, so frustratingly bad service was something we'd all gotten used to (See other reviews). But my latest experience with them is the pinnacle of bad service and incompetence. After waiting two days for a medication my child needs to take every day, I called the pharmacy and was told that they were out of the drug and that it would be another three days until it was in stock. I asked if they could send the prescription to another CVS with the meds and was told no. We waited three days and went in twice the following week to see if it was ready. Both times we were told there was no prescription ready. This morning, I called and was told the prescription had been ready for over a week. It had been ready for pick-up both times we were there in person. Let's remember, this is medication for my child - so when I reacted with shock and a little anger, I'll admit, and tried to ask WHY we had not been given the filled prescription the two times we were there in person, I was told, "Ma'am, I don't need your attitude at eight in the morning." My attitude? If your job is to look in an alphabetized bin for a paper bag, and even THAT is beyond your skill set, I'd say you better get used to hearing from people that are ticked off. Try and understand: 1. This wasn't dry cleaning I was waiting for - it was MEDICINE my child needs every day. 2. If you don't want attitude from customers, do your job. 3. Read the reviews - There are problems with how you conduct business. These problems could be solved if you LISTENED to your customers. 4. Customers are not an inconvenience - we're the reason you have a job. The CVS Pharmacy staff in South Lakes Plaza needs significant customer service retraining. In the meantime, I'm taking advantage of the over 50 other pharmacies in our area and will be moving our 17 prescriptions today. read more

I have been coming to this location for 2+ years and have seen the variety of service at the pharmacy change from bad, to horrendous, and now to EXCELLENT. Shoutout to Karly, Kevin, and Sam who so generously took the time to walk me through my migraine shot price changes and the nonsense with insurance coverage during a Monday evening rush hour. The new pharmacy manager is making big changes here to provide a more customer-oriented experience, and it's working. Having previously managed multiple retail teams myself, I can personally attest to how difficult this can be and he deserves special recognition, too. CVS front store colleague are always helpful in many ways. They will greet you and answer questions regarding the product you are looking for to buy with your coupons. They are friendly and happy serving customers like me especially when it comes to making payments for i we are buying. I will always love to come to cvs SouthLakes because of the staff. Also the entire store is clean and well stocked with items that are available at all times. The toilet is super clean when ever you need to use it. It's a CVS so fairly standard. Store is okay, carries the usual drugstore stuff one would expect (beauty supplies, candy, household goods and office supplies, yadda yadda yadda) - nothing too fancy and convenient in a pinch. Pharmacy is a bit of a mess though. read more

I love this location it's convenient to where I live. But it seems almost every time I'd like to go in there they've got somebody with a table set up looking for donations for some charity. The set up right at the front door and they speak up at you asking you to come fill out a questionnaire, survey or straight up ask for donations. And they allow DARE to set up there too and DARE is a well known scam. I don't know if the manager is getting a kickback for allowing them outside that CVS or not but it's very annoying and so I just avoid shopping or filling prescriptions at that store. I don't shop there for makeup or anything else I need and just go somewhere else. I tried to call corporate but they've got it set so it's impossible to really reach anyone. So I just don't use CVS anymore. read more

I came in here on a hot Saturday afternoon for a nice and refreshing cold canned iced tea. I walked out with the ice tea and a bag of lightly salted almonds. Social distancing was in full force as only a single self checkout lane was available. The checkout went smoothly and quickly, and I was soon on my way out. The gentleman at the counter this Saturday afternoon was super professional and friendly. The experience the pharmacy area would be a more true indication in terms how well this drug store services it's customers. I see a pattern here. Dismissive pharmacy. Twice I've had issues with their system and each person tells you a different thing, and the pharmacist gets pissed because she has different rules. Once I was given a wrong item, came back to return it (unopened). I was told I could return it but the pharmacist/manager had to do it but she wasn't there. After trying to catch the pharmacist twice, I finally find her and she gets testy because she says she can't refund me. Well, it was your people who told me you would take a return and i had to come back 3 times. Sounds like a problem on your end. Now I'm dealing with a barrage of texts and calls refilling my prescriptions. I call three times and they say the will stop it, but it continues. I call today and the pharmacist says I can't help you, you have to text back STOP, which I've done. But why did the last two people say they would take care of it. Everyone has different rules at this place and they get testy when customers are confused, when in fact they are confused. CVS should hire the kids at Chick-Fil-A to run the pharmacy. read more

I signed up for a 6pm appointment for a flu shot. Checked-in on my phone as instructed and was there waiting at 6:02pm. I even asked an individual at the Minute Clinic and he instructed me that that was all I had to do. One hour later, I was not only still waiting and never called upon but when some of us started questioning how long the wait was the pharmacist stated there were 11 people in front of me. ABSOLUTELY ASININE. What is the point of an appointment if they are going to make you wait that long? I suggest you go somewhere else that actually has competent people. read more

Worst pharmacy ever! Years ago they had a good pharmacist but it's gone downhill since she left. The last few months have been a total hassle to get my rx. My doc moved states and instead of calling me to tell me that I needed to get a new rx from the doc they just ignored my refill requests. I had to have a new rx called in 2 months in a row. This month they are going to fill it, but it is not ready at the promised time and I have to sit here and wait after a long day of work. I'll be looking for another pharmacy to try soon! read more

My husband needed a physical for a CDL license he has held for years. These physicals can only be performed by authorized medical examiners. Much to our surprise, the nurse administrator said he failed due to a heart murmur. Since my husband receives annual physical exams and NEVER ONCE have been told he has a heart murmur, we left the clinic in shock and disbelief. Plus, we were worried that he may have a serious heart condition. We went to our primary care physician who said while he could hear that a murmur was present, he didn't think that should prevent my husband from driving or should be of any concern. But, he said maybe he was missing something and suggested a thorough heart examination. So, off we went to a cardiologist for additional testing. The cardiologist we saw actually chuckled and said my husband was just fine and that he should have been issued the medical certification. Even armed with proof, it wasn't easy to get him certified. If I am the only one to give a bad review, please ignore this. However, if there are others out there with similar experiences, you might avoid this Minute Clinic for physicals. read more

I don't know why I keep trying to come here. It is so close to my house which makes it a shame that I no longer want to come to this store. I subscribed to the emails/ texts letting you know when your prescription is ready. I've gotten those messages and come here at least 3 times with the Pharmacy having no knowledge of a prescription. That is 3 wasted car trips. Today I thought I was going to have a similar experience. First, there were 3 non-minority customers in front of me who were asked the standard name and DOB. When I walk up I'm also asked for my full mailing address. When I made a face the young cashier giggled and said it was a random check. Hmm so you wait for the black customer to do a random check? I found that interesting especially since in all of my years using other CVS pharmacies that had never come up. It is bad enough that you have to give a full name, DOB, and now my address? So much for privacy at CVS. Then she couldn't find it after walking around a few times and had to get the actual pharmacist to assist (she found it instantly). I asked if I could use a $3 off $11 even though the vitamins were B1G2 free. She said yes. When I got to my car I checked and I didn't get the B1G2 discount. So I went back and boy did I regret it. The first lady was annoyed and not a good listener. I told her about my coupon and the sale. She cut me off and told me that I got $3 off. I explained again that I could forego that deal for the 2 for free. She called a manager. The manager came up and said it has to be the same brand. Although that wasn't clear on the sign I said ok I'll go get another of this brand. As I'm walking away the older lady mumbled "yea ok then how did she get $11 off" as if I'm some liar. So I turned and told her I had other coupons and sale items. She shook her head and did not apologize. I get back to the front and now the manager struggling to complete the return says oh it should only be B1G1 free so I asked if we could go look at the sign and she pointed to her screen. She didn't care what the sign said. So I told her nevermind I didn't want any of them. She couldn't for some reason put the money back on my card so she had to give me cash. I didn't argue I was ready to leave. I'm so disappointed. read more

I called the pharmacy to ask my pharmacist about side effects from a new medication I started. I thought a pharmacy would be a good place to start when you have questions about medication. You know, because of it being a pharmacy. Believe me when I say the pharmacy staff does NOT agree with that sentiment. The staff is condescending and rude. She acted like she could not believe that I really called to ask her something. Where did I get the nerve? Who gave me the right? They simply cannot be bothered with anyone. Poor customer service, shortchanging customers, expired goods! I purchased a product on December 23rd and when I came home I noticed it expired 2 months ago. It was expensive $80 item and I used 20% discount for my purchase. I came back on December 24th to exchange it. Manager at South Lakes processed it as return and then tried to sell me new unexpired product for $80 without 20% adjustment. He said since I used my 20% coupon previous day, I can't get the discount anymore. I understand his logic but at the same time this is terrible customer service! They first sold me expensive goods that are 2 months expired and and when I asked to exchange it, they wouldn't adjust the price, shortchanging me $17!!! read more

Three and 1/2 stars! Friendly, attentive service from pharmacists and techs who seem genuinely to care about their patients. It is nice to be served where everybody knows your name. There are often lines at the counter for pick-up, but great service awaits those who are patient. I've been using this pharmacy for years, and have only good things to say about Lisa , Nancy, and other staff members who take time to monitor medications, check your entire medication profile, and warn of adverse effects. I have also experienced times when my prescription is not available and have waited the time to order non-emergency prescriptions. Once, a prescription I needed urgently wasn't available. The staff called other CVS pharmacies and located the prescription for me at CVS in Vienna, VA. I have been a devoted customer ever since! read more

My current pharmacy is closing therefore I'm forced to switch to CVS. Despite four phone calls CVS is trying to refill every prescription I have on history with my current pharmacy. It's a lot. It's messing with the medication's I need current. It's messing with my insurance. It's expensive. And the attitude of the majority of the staff well let's say some re-training could possibly be benefited. Rarely what I call anybody out because we all have bad days. But I think the staff at the pharmacy every day is a bad day! read more

Pharmacists here are helpful, patient, and friendly. That's a rarity. The rest of the CVS is adequately stocked, lines are never long, and I've got no problems with the place. Yeah, you need a club card. I fudged every single piece of information on my application and they never disabled my card. They have tiny cards you can throw on your keychain. If you've read any of my reviews you know I'm incredibly easily irritated, but this is really a non-issue. read more

The Photo Lab here is horrible. They cannot process anything in a timely manner. Seriously - management should be embarrassed by how horrible they are at getting orders processed. When you order photos to be picked up - they give you an estimated pick up time. This photo lab has NEVER been on time with the estimated wait time. We have had to make multiple trips to pick up a handful of photos. It is a joke. read more

Lisa is awesome...the rest of the staff is pretty good, but Lisa is sort of your neighborhood knows everyone by first name pharmacist. They are pretty quick, and answer any questions. Lisa really seems to care about the customers as well. Overall, it's a standard CVS pharmacy, but the staff makes the diference. The front of the store isn't as good, which is why I gave 4 stars, but if you need a script filled and questions answered, and feel like someone actually gives a darn about you then this is the pharmacy. read more

Came to the minute clinic because i wasn't feeling well and wanted to make sure i didn't have the flu. It has been the best office I've walked into. NP Keplinger and her student Jennifer were so nice and very professional. You can just tell that they are very passionate about what they do and taking care of their patients is their first priority. Especially that asian (Korean) girl and a dark skin lady who seems to only be at the cashwrap. They give you the looks, glance and giggle while you're in pain. The online feature to "hold my position in line" is worthless. I made an appointment that scheduled me for 10:05. I showed up at 10:00 with a code I was supposed to report in with. When I entered my code it was rejected and I had to repeat everything I had already done online. In the mean time, I was shuffled to the back of the line and wasn't seen until 10:35. I paid $69 just to be seen, plus the fees for the procedure I went in for. This is as affordable and efficient as Ubamacare. read more

Even though it seems ridiculous to love a pharmacy, I love this pharmacy! This is because the head pharmacist, Lisa, is AWESOME. She is SO friendly and nice, so helpful, so knowledgeable, so on the customer's side (versus the insurance companies who we all know can be such huge pains in the ass) and does whatever she can to make you feel as helped as possible...whether it be through answering questions about your prescriptions or giving suggestions for OTC stuff you may need. I swear, even when she's been telling me she can't fill something yet because of an insurance issue or whatever and I should be pissed off, I am STILL thanking her for her help because she is so nice about it and really tries to do everything in her power to help you out or suggest alternative options that could help you out. She remembers every regular customer by name AND I swear she remembers pretty much your medical history--very helpful and very impressive to say the least! Bottom line is I love using this pharmacy for all my prescriptions because I feel I am always in good hands, and that someone is always paying attention to the details and not letting mistakes happen or insurance slip-ups get in the way of fast, reliable service. It's like using a small local pharmacist even though it's in a CVS...to me that is so important! I'll be sad when I have to move! read more
