I wanted to like harris teeter as some sort of middle ground in terms of quality and price but everything I've gotten here is bad one way or another. Produce and bread that goes bad fast, store branded items that just taste off, overpriced, tiny, and dry rotisserie chicken. The parking situation is pretty good though.

I came here today to purchase anCesar Chicken wrap at $7 which under other circumstances would cost less than $5. The quality of the wrap a slightly better here, however probably not enough to justify a $2 price increase. When I came here today it did seem like they had a few promotions for some of the summer fruit and produce that they are more than likely phasing out for the fall season. The store is definitely modern and they have a sushi section as well which is nice. Today I found the few items that I was looking for and everything went just fine. There were many people available to assist customers and everyone seemed happy to be working here.

This store has a strange layout. It is on a diagonal, but very long. I asked where the cards were and I was directed to the back. They did have a nice selection of cards. But, I will say the prices were high. Then, I asked about candles. They only had fancy gold candles. So, I bought them too. I was happy to get what I needed. Service was great. They ALL have been friendly, professional, attentive and helpful. The painkiller my husband was supposed to take immediately after having a tooth extracted. Then they claimed they couldn't find the prescription so I had to call the dentist and get it resubmitted (I know for certain they had both). It took 5 hours to get the second one filled. I handed them our insurance card and they didn't apply insurance so that was a whole other deal that took 15" to pickup. Now I'm here for a prescription that I forgot to pickup 2 weeks ago. I got an automated call reminding me to pickup so here I am over an hour later still waiting on it. They can't find it, had to make a new one. Said will be 15", 45" later I'm still here. Handed insurance card when I attempted to pickup. Still didn't apply it so again they didn't apply. multiple lines and a 15" checkout process. 10/10 do NOT recommend. The prices are higher, the service stinks. Avoid at all costs. If I don't live above it I would never go back.

I really am excited to try their monthly medication packaging (no extra charge!) where my daily meds are packed in little bags, marked with the time to take. So I'll literally just have to tear it off and take my pills rather than fuss with all the bottles. John also took the time to go over my prescriptions with me to make sure everything is right. I only did 4 stars because refills and the ease of return visits is what makes or breaks a long term relationship with a pharmacy and I'm brand new to this one. I'm impressed and hopeful though.

Update: I left this pharmacy after my last review and switched to a different one, and the…read moredifference was incredible. The Centreville CVS pharmacy was awful; their phone number did not work -- any time I tried to call, I was on hold endlessly with no one on the other end to respond. To this day I don't know if anyone ever even answered the phone there. The people lost track of my medications twice. Once they informed me that my medication was not yet ready but I could pick them up at a certain date. Then when I went on that date, they told me I was too late and it had been ready the first time I went. Specifically, the time when I *did* go and they told me it wasn't ready yet. Someone was lying, but when I tried to find out what had happened, they tried to change the subject and imply that I'd done something wrong. One woman demanded to know if I was misusing my own prescription medication. They tried to put me on the defensive but when I ignored them and continued to ask what was going on on their end, they finally said that they had no idea and it was unreasonable for me to keep asking because they didn't have any record of their mistakes. Then they said they'd refill my medication and would call me when it was ready for pickup, some time in the next two weeks. They offered absolutely no guarantee or reassurance that the same problem wouldn't happen again, nor did they apologize or even acknowledge that anyone had done anything wrong. I was entirely fed up and told them I was changing pharmacies. The pharmacy I'm currently at has never had this problem. They fill medications at reasonable times, leave a voice message whenever they call, only call once and not three times in a row with no explanation, and answer the phone when I call them. They've also never lied to me about my medications or completely lost track of any of them. This all sounds like a pretty basic standard, but apparently some pharmacies are incapable of meeting it! Overall I'd give the Centreville pharmacy 0 stars if I could; 1 is too many.
