I get it. With Covid 19 happening wait times are longer and the staff is doing the best they can. Even with that if I could leave zero stars for this location I would. I went through the CVS website and scheduled an appt to be tested for Covid 19. I then was asked a series of questions which I fully filled out on their site. I then received a text message confirming my appt. And a seperate text message with instructions on how to cancel. Lastly I received an email with a confirmation email. It took me 30 mins to drive to this location as the more local ones had no availability for testing. I got in the line at 11:10am even though my appt was for 11:30am. AN HOUR AND A HALF LATER I was finally at the window. The you lady at the window took my insurance card and Driver's license. After returning them to me she then asks me did somebody call you? I reply No. She then asks did I call the pharmacy? I replied No. There are zero instructions or notifications to call the pharmacy or that you will receive a call on their website or email. She then tells me well you need to register which apparently can ONLY happen over the phone (This can NOT be done at the window no matter how long you waited). In which case I would have to reschedule and do this whole ordeal over again!!! I told her I answered all the questions on the website and have an email confirmation. She is adamant that they tried to call me and verified my cell number with me. I have NO missed calls in my cell phone. Why do they not ask their customers to pull into a parking space and wait for a phone call at that time??? Since, this part of the process is so essential!!! Get it done. After getting home I called to voice my frustrations only to be told the manager is not in and for me to call her back?!?! Why am I calling the manager back? This is horrible customer service. Needless to say I will not be coming back to this location ever nor calling back their manager. I'm sure their is staff are good people. But this process especially the phantom phone call SUCKS to the upteenth degree! read more

This is a discussion of customer service and general store cleanliness. We have lived in San Clemente over 20 years using CVS exclusively until the last year and 1/2. The pharmacy still does a good job considering all but the rest of the store is sub par except for the women employees . Because CVS has a product I use and its not available at RiteAid, I still shop at CVS for1 item every couple of weeks. A male employee, tall and slender late 40's to 50 years old, is the reason for this very poor review as well as the general cleanliness and run down condition of the store. The past three times I have been in the checkout line he is sitting on the counter and only gets off to call out "next" ! He is rude and dismissive, but the biggest problem on his part and his manager is he is allowed to sit on a counter where customers place their purchases! Not on a chair if he's infirm, but a counter where his rear end comes in contact with the product one is buying! Unbelievable! The CVS management needs to help him understand the duties and behaviors appropriate for his job and a mandatory study in social awareness and etiquette.. I am writing to corporate to file a complaint as well. read more

I've tried to be a fan of this location, I really have. I drive from San Juan Capistrano but today's the end of that. I walked in and the register clerk and another male employee stared at me as I walked to the coupon machine. No greeting, no smile, just stares. At checkout the indifferent female clerk had someone in front of me so I placed my items behind that person's things. I tried to move them along but this witch said "I need those moved up here". Oh, please! There's a way to say that with a pleasant smile but she does not smile. And lest there be any confusion, this was Register #01. TRN#3628, CSHR#0587905, STR#8893. Helped by AERIALA. She has very black hair and is unable to smile. She has been there for years and I have no idea why. She's been miserable before and today she was especially so. Each time I said they would complete it and promised it would be ready the next day. The next day...same story. Worst Covid testing experience. Had an appointment for 1010 got in line at 0950 and an hour later finally had testing done. The website and confirmation email explicitly state to wear a mask AT ALL TIMES until instructed to remove. The guy in front of me had no mask on windows down for twenty minutes. When it was finally my turn and explained to the pharmacy tech that that is not best practice he asked me if I knew who Anthony Fauci was. Seriously? Also the test is being run under the auspices of Minute Clinic and yet there is no Minute Clinic Nurse Practitioner to be seen. The entire testing is being run by a pharmacy tech. How is that under their scope of practice??? I know it's hard to find testing right now, but please for your own safety and sanity, go somewhere else. Take the extra time and drive to a different Walgreens or Rite Aid!!! I've been coming to this location for the past 5 months because it's only about 7 minutes from our house. It's consistently a frustration because of the poor customer service and inept employees. The older lady with long dark hair is the worst and super rude. Her "I don't give a shit attitude" has been apparent every time I've come in. She's worse than a government employee! I asked what my balance was on my reward points when I went to check out and how they worked. Her response was "I don't know how it works". She handed me my receipt (after I had to ask about the points again) and said "You can read it on your own", referring to the bottom of the receipt. I'm used to Walgreens where you spend $ x.xx amt and get $x back. It doesn't seem to be the case at CVS. The photo department (if you can call it that) is also terrible!!! It's stashed in a corner with no signage. I sent pics there through the app. Went to pick them up after receiving the email that they were ready. When I arrived, my pictures were still sitting on the printer tray. Several were printed wrong and the photo guy told me it was MY mistake He called me AFTER I left to tell me that they had found my other pictures that were printed correctly. So unprofessional! I will be making the drive elsewhere for our pharmacy and quick grocery needs. Such a shame! read more

Worst experience in the world. Tried for 2 hours to get information about Covid-19 anti-viral medications. People who are this sick don't feel like getting lost in the endless loop of automated prompts alternating with people who don't know the answers and want to transfer you back to the another number where people don't know the answers. Bottom Line: There is no way to even find out if might qualify for Covid-19 antiviral medications without going to the site in person (thereby infecting other people). We need a telemedicine option for this people. And, your website, phone system and staff training needs to be better. read more

There was no one in line behind me and I needed to give them new insurance card information but said she couldn't do it and I had to come in. But I could pay the $10 even though I have insurance I pay for that would cover it fully. DO NOT COME TO THIS LOCATION. Unless you want your credit card number stolen. I went into this pharmacy last night around 9:30 to purchase one thing. A lady checked me out at the register closest to the door. I went home and went to bed. I woke up to about 18 charges on my credit card from gas stations all over CA. Their machine and/or their employee stole my credit card information. I went through the normal process with my cc company, and it will get resolved. However, when I called the store to let them know, they could not care less. At first Steve, the manager, was apologetic. But when I asked what he was going to do about it, he seemed confused. Like there was nothing he could do. Went like this: Steve:"I'll tell my employees to check ids and watch purchases more carefully". Me: "Don't know what good that is going to do but ok." Steve:"If you call the authorities we will cooperate." Me: "I should hope so, but don't you want to call the authorities to get to the bottom of what happened? Don't you want people to feel safe making purchases there? Because at this point I do not." If I could give a zero I would!! First, my doctor calls in a prescription and when I go in and give my name they tell me there is no prescription called in under my name. I start looking through my emails because I received a confirmation from CVS that it was here. They finally confirm that in fact I do have a prescription. They then proceed to tell me I will have to wait 45 minutes because there is no pharmacist on staff to fill the prescription. How in the world do you run a pharmacy without a pharmacist!!!!
