Impossible to contact and incapable of fulfilling prescriptions. Awful. Can't stand dealing with this company

IMHO I haven't shopped this particular CVS in years but the CVS website said this store had a small supply of Hexol, which I couldn't find in my local store. I also had a 40% off coupon to redeem. Sure enough, I found two bottles of Hexol in stock. Yay! The cashier scanned my CVS Extra Care card which should immediately notify her that I have coupons or cash to redeem. She told me my purchase total (which didn't include my 40% off) and I had to ask her if I had any coupons available to me. She tapped her screen, said yes and asked if I wanted to use it. That's the only reason why I was there, to redeem my coupon. The cashier was very nice, but it shouldn't be my job to ask for my discount. With every customer, she should be asking if they had anything to redeem. 'Nuff said. If you shop CVS often, become a CVS Extra Care member. The coupons and Extra Care bucks that you earn for shopping are the only reason that I occasionally shop here. I loved this store when it was known as Longs. When they changed over to CVS, the prices seemed to be higher, and I only shop when I have a discount coupon, or if they have a product I can't find anywhere else. read more

This is the worst CVS pharmacy everrr, but it's the closest one and open 24/7. 1. The tech dropped the syringe for my kids' meds and gave it to me anyway. It was not in any packaging. 2. Saw the Rx manager yelling at an employee about the place being dirty/ a mess and to clean it up. It's almost always a mess. 3. There has been multiple instances where either they said insurance didn't cover it OR they had the wrong insurance information in their system (with previous Rx pick ups being fine).. making what should have been a 5-10 min stop because Rx was ready for pick up into a 30+ min errand. 4. Open, empty Rx bottles were in a box on the floor, exposed and open... Sterile? Idk. 5. Vaccines.. there were no signs, the Rx technician tells you to go to the drop off window. You wait there only for them to tell you to go around the corner. 6. Pharmacist giving vaccines was clearly not experienced at giving shots. 7. Sometimes rude, slow, gives wrong information, etc... It's a rare thing when an experience goes smoothly. I can't stand this place. I almost always deliver, but occasionally I have to go in, and we dread it. It's like going to Costco.. only when absolutely necessary. With that said, there are some nice, good staffers, and I *usually* try to have empathy as they are busy and a 24/7 pharmacy. read more

Typical bad CVS experience. Brought a friend here after urgent care referred us to a closed location. They insisted we could just show up at any CVS and they would transfer but we're too lazy to do the paperwork to make that happen. They also tried to refer us to a location that was also closed, insisted so even though the website said otherwise. We went here instead since it's 24/7. Like most CVS locations there was only a single person behind the counter who was handling everything. Insisted we needed to call the doctor to have them transfer the script instead of using their system to do it. The urgent care took 45 minutes and said they would call in. We continued waiting around the store while all that madness was happening. The person insisted the phone call that was waiting in the background on their system was probably not from the urgent care location and suggested we try calling again... so now we're in the parking lot, waiting _again_, trying to transfer the stupid prescription still. Every experience I have had with this chain at multiple locations has been terrible. Their systems are awful. Their pharmacists are overworked, the stores are constantly understaffed, and since they're basically a monopoly they don't need to care. Most of these places aren't open very late. OUTSIDE: Location is kind of sketchy. I see homeless people outside this CVS by the Redbox, which I'm glad they have a Redbox. The two homeless people I've seen in this area haven't been a threat at all. A blond lady and a guy who sits by Jade China just a couple suites to the left. Most times there's someone sitting outside in a chair with a donation box, which makes me uncomfortable because you don't want to give them money, but you also don't want to be rude. INSIDE: Carpeted CVS. Looks like most CVS's and you can tell this location has been here a long time. Shelves aren't always stocked well, but I think this is a common couponer CVS so that could be why or maybe they have a lot of theft at this location or maybe they're slow in restocking I'm not really sure. HOURS: Nice that this location is open 24 hours and pharmacy has regular hours. OVERALL: Overall this location is A-OK, nothing wonderful about it. Their pharmacy system is inconsistent nearly everytime I come here. I generally come here bi-monthly to pick up meds. I would either get a call from a machine that my meds are ready for pick up or a text saying so. However, when I arrive, they said there are no meds ready or they need a prescription from the prescribing doctor. There was even a time they change the birthday on me. Either them or their system or my own doctor. I would be told to wait 10 to 15 minutes. Sometimes they forget about me and I wait longer or I get it within that time. If another staff who didn't previously help me see me waiting, they offer to assist me to let me know I was no forgotten sometime. The staff them self, most are friendly but the load of work is obviously getting to them to effect their mood and service to their customers. read more

If you need a minute clinic, this is the place to go, but if you need to pick up meds, run for the fucking hills. I was seen at the minute clinic and got a prescription sent 15 ft away to the pharmacy. I waited the 20 min they said, to find out they hadn't gotten the prescription yet. Even though I showed them the written one. Made me go back to the minute clinic and ask her to send the prescription again, was told 15 minutes once again, it has now been an hour waiting for 5 pills..keep in mind there are 3 pharmacists and 4 techs. No wonder these guys got hoodwinked by that biotechnology chick...... read more

Everything that you will ever need is pretty much consolidated into this one store!! Bonus Perk: its open 24 hour!! This is your typical drug store- nothing too spectacular but it sure does the job. I always find myself coming here whenever I am in dire need of something. Yes the shelves are empty at times but it doesn't take too much energy to find a worker and ask for some help. This location is a hot spot on the weekends for all the late night alcohol runs so there is never a shortage of people coming in and out. The liquor area is HUGE so there is something here even the pickiest drinkers. read more

There was a single window and only one line, some lady cut me even though the pharmacist called me to the window next. They were cool with it and told me to go to the next window. Someone else came to help, but there was also someone behind that the lady had cut too. That lady should've been the one to "move" to the next window AND after the lady behind me. If there was more than one line, then why was I called next? To add on top, it was a pain and a delay to get my prescription even processed. read more

such BS. made an appointment for booster check in 15 mins before appointment. tell my cousin to do so right after. after waiting for 20 minutes, her name gets called but not mine. pharmacist calls other people and i step in to let her know we made the appointment together why is my name not called?? pharmacist states on her system i just checked in at 5:25, that there are 6 people ahead of me. clearly a glitch in their system if i was the one to check in first then let my cousin know it's time now to check in. now i'm here standing just waiting around for my name to get called. i've been here since 4:50 and it is now 6pm. great job cvs, great job ! read more

Came here today to fill in a prescription for my fiancé. I was helped by Anil who was uber friendly and sweet at the pharmacy. We had a little run in about the date on the prescription form, but he was kindly enough to tell me that he'll call the doctors office and have it cleared right away. Waited for about half an hour for the prescription to be filled. While I waited the store was organized- your typical cvs. The workers that I encountered today were friendly and sweet. All were joyful. Probably because Christmas is around the corner and everyone is just very jolly! Parking was easy to find since there's an open space of parking spots, so you don't have to worry there. read more

They leave you on hold for over 20 minutes at times pick up and put you back on hold. There seems to be a lack of leadership. Every call is heard waiting over the loud speakers when in store, everyone that walk ins and phone calls should be in a system and delegated individuals on each shift just for phone calls this is 2020 there should not be 20 minutes hold something needs to be reviewed. Can you imagine how many hang up and don't get proper medication because wait and confusion when they do answer. Very frustrating when they hang up on you also after waiting so long. 1. The service was horrendous. We dropped off our prescription and since there were two medications and we only wanted one at the moment (as that's the one that's covered by my insurance). Later, we tried confirming the one was that was covered by our insurance and the lady got frustrated and asked "didn't I tell you earlier." If that's good service, I don't think I'll ever come back. 2. Also, asked the lady the cost for the other medication that's not covered and she said she wasn't able to find the price. What an absurd response? What if I want to get it? How much would I be paying? We later asked another guy and he was able to provide the price. 3. She told us it would take 15 minutes for the medicine, and it took an hour... waste of time... Overall, I will try to avoid CVS as much as possible. This review is solely about the pharmacy. I feel like this pharmacy is very consistent with meeting the needs of their patients. Today I got my flu shot on November 20, 2019. The main pharmacist, a woman, was very attentive to the customers and reassuring them often that they are working fast to help them. She was moving pretty fast and efficiently as it was so I feel there was no need for her to even apologize. When it came time to get my flu shot she carried a nice short conversation and apologize for not having a covering around us like a wall from other customers. I let her know not to worry I wasn't shy. I'm sure that other customers may have voiced an issue about it so maybe CVS could provide them with something for more privacy, but in my case I was fine. read more

This store is always understaffed. There's a manager and maybe two staff running registers, stocking shelves, and mysterious tasks at the photo counter. Everyone is working hard, and still friendly, but it's simply more work than three people can do. There's always a wait for the register. I watched three people set down their stuff and walk out of the store. They'v put in self checkout stations, but the stations have a software bug where they get confused if you touch the bagging area while you're scanning stuff. While I was waiting in line for the staffed register, I watched two people give up on the self checkout machines. The white status pole starts flashing and the machine announces it's calling for help. The manager comes with a key and has to wrestle an access door open, to clear the jam. It's pretty sad. The workers in the store can't fix it. Those stations never should have been deployed in that condition. read more

This morning I went there to pick up my medicines.. one was ready. One needed to wait 20'. After more than 30', I came back, they said the pharmacist just finished their lunch, so they will work for my prescription now and the medicine will be ready to pick up in 10 more minutes. Let me start off by saying the East Side of SJ is sleepless so it makes sense in having a 24hr CVS pharmacy with that being said its a hot spot. So.. It is unclear as to why during the day they have more staff versus the night shift. I had to wait 40 minutes for my prescription to be filled on a Thursday ( yesterday 9//21/2017) and only then 1 of my 2 medications were "ready for pick up" which was an anti biotic and the other a painkiller. I drove all the way from Gilroy to the Jackson Hospital due to extreme pain and discomfort of a post oral surgery, it was upsetting I had to wait so long while in pain but worse off because I only ended up leaving with 1 of the 2 meds at this point is was 9pm. Now then today, 9/22 day time the service was 180 my second medication was finally filled and it was a much smoother process and i didn't have to walk around to waste time. I had to go get antibiotics last night and the gentleman who answered my calls and that I talked to twice at the pharmacy is very helpful and very accommodating at such a late time. Such a nice experience to get my meds there since my usual CVS is closed and I just want to thank him for a great customer service. Update. Today the new store director was going through each aisle. Greeting people. Asking if they need assistance and general upkeep from nearby transients. Greeted at the door by the cashier. Friendly. Pharmacy. Well i avoided the pharmacy. So upgraded service 1 year later. Clean store. Short on sale items low on stock or sold out. Midweek. Not much I needed. Back to school stuff was wiped out. Seems they need an experienced or seasoned stocker or reorder checklist. Look at your POS upcoming sales. Then assign someone to reorder items based on demand, sales, and zero stock. Basic inventory management and accountability. Manager 101 class on keeping stock available and rotated. And signage is important. Visible signage. In order to compete with these online stores. You have to be frugal and dead accurate. Up to date on sales, inventory. Well stocked. Seasoned well advised staff and deliver a great product. It's hard. But achievable to survive this E-conomy world. read more

Came here at about 5am on a Saturday, and a lot of the shelves were empty. We were wandering around aimlessly. The 1 thing I came here for wasn't in stock, so I left with stuff I didn't even need...you know how that goes. I got 2 big bags of assorted Hershey's chocolates for $4. Harold at the checkout stand was what brought this review to 2 stars. Very chipper (especially for 5am, that is incredible) and friendly. Although our interaction with him was short lived, he left a lasting impression. He also made a comment on what a good buy the chocolate was, haha. And I have to agree with other Yelpers, there are some pretty sketchy people loitering around this cvs. So while being open 24 hours is advantageous, be aware of your surroundings! read more

Each person can pick up three masks at a time, according to the White House. The masks are given out per person, so more than one person from the same household can get them. This is what it said on the news. I took my dad to this CVS, I asked for N95 masks, the older lady with glasses at cashier in this store gave both of us only 3 masks total. We suppose to get 3 masks for each of us. CVS at this location is very bad. Masks are from government, they give to public to use due to omicron, they are not from CVS. To start off, this whole store smells like a restroom They have such shitty customer service in the pharmacy department. We literally called to ask 1 question about a tb test and were told no one could answer a question and that we had to go online to ask even though we tried explaining to her that we would be there in an hour for our appointment. I don't know that it really made a difference between when this place was Long's vs. CVS but I guess I'm a big fan of the whole open 24/7 thing. Sometimes you need the most random things at the random times and it's nice to have a place to find it when elsewhere is closed. Especially useful for medicine, like when you are coughing your lungs up and its 3 am. I like the pharmacy service, they're always friendly but the lines can get long since this is near a residential area. Also there are a lot of people outside (mostly homeless folks) who are actually very aggressive and will sometimes just fall short of attacking you while they scream and harass you for money. Otherwise, I generally like the convenience of this place so you got to take what it comes with. read more

The could have informed they don't carry it. I too a generic one and waited in the consultation line but was so super slow that decided was not worth and went elsewhere. read more

I really like this CVS. I really like CVS in general. All the coupons really make it worth it to shop there. Honestly, I've saved at least $50 using coupons. I think I'm definitely an addict when it comes to seeing how much money I can save using coupons. This CVS usually is very clean & organized. I have found sometimes that they run out of stock, which gets annoying when things go on sale. But the staff is really nice when you're trying to look for things. This review is only on my passport photo experience. I found a coupon on their website for $2 off passport photos. Originally it's $11.99 and with the $2 off and tax the total came out to $10.86. The service was extremely fast. The clerk assisted me immediately even though the register line was long. She showed me to the area of where she would take my photo. She even adjusted a nearby mirror and asked if I wanted to use it. She patiently waited and even helped me fix my hair a bit before she took the photo. The photo came out perfect. She printed the photo quickly and had a little issue cutting the photo with the passport cutting press they had. This took a few more minutes, but overall the experience was good. read more

And they are so inefficient standford gave them my insurance info and they didnt even saved it I had to pay cash because i was so sick i didn't want to deal with it.
