EVERY SINGLE TIME I COME HERE, sometimes three nights in a row, after 11:30pm, they put this sign saying "closed-system upgrade open back up at 7am"...really? A system upgrade almost EVERY NOGHT from 11:30pm til 7am?? Um, they must think the public is stupid! I LNOW you don't need to upgrade any system that often, not usually even once a month..and for that long of time? Come on cvs! I'm sitting in the parking lot watching about 7 people come and notice this and are very angry as this is the ONLY place for miles that says "OPEN 24/7"! Put it as your hours if you're gonna be closed all the time so people don't waste time and gas! I always come at night cuz I work til then and it's the only place open, supposed to be anyways..but NEVER is for the last 2 months EVERY TIME I've come. I came cuz I need cat food and nowhere else is open at midnight around here now my cats either go hungry or I drive 10-15 miles to find another store open and hope they really are if they advertise it!! They say knock on the door, the hard thicker glass door, to get prescriptions, and it took them 15 minutes of POUNDING just to get the guy who is working here tonight's attention! What if an elderly came here and needed their meds now? My knuckles are sore cuz they can't here and u have to pound..elderly would have to go without..that's messed up! I wonder if corporate knows about them closing for the supposed "upgrade" so often or at all...?? I know they aren't doing anything to the system cuz the pharmacy register works. They said it didn't work for purchases but I came with my boyfriend to get a prescription once and needed cat food too and they let me do it as a separate transaction when at first the pharmasist said she wasn't able to due to the "upgrade", but then was nice and said "ok, I'll do it". Why would you call yourself a 24 hour pharmacy when you're really operational for 22 hours? I'm waiting here after a 4.5 hour wait at the ER to pick up prescriptions for extreme pain. The pharmacy is closed between 2-3am for the pharmacist's lunch break. Makes total sense to have lunch breaks, but the pharmacist isn't even on break, she is working behind the screen, sorting meds right now. If you're working, shouldn't the priority be to help a customer? Oh, and their system is currently down, so I can't get my prescription until 4am. Apparently, their entire system goes down at 3am. The pharmacist can't enter my meds until system is back up and then it'll take another half hour to fill it. What a crock of sh*t. I might as well have gone to the pharmacy that is down the street from me where, even though they're not 24 hours, they can help me during their advertised hours. Don't advertise to be 24 hours if you're only operational 22 hours. read more

My go-to place. Despite the convenience of traveling to my local CVS, this place does have its drawback with a few questionable staff (yes, that includes management). My review is purely on the lack of customer service. I came in today with an intent to purchase hair gel. With some items that are clearly advertised for some discount, I picked one that was clearly full price (if you're a regular CVS shopper, you'd get a promotional 40% off on any regular priced item). I was informed by the cashier that the item I've chosen doesn't qualify since it's a buy one get another 50% off. I return to the same isle to drop off the product I wanted to purchase and uncertain at this point which are regular and which are discounted. The manager approaches me; I provided her my feedback, to which she responds "it'll only take a few seconds to put the tags up." I'm uncertain but her response wasn't very customer-service oriented. Rather than finding a reasonable solution to rectify an error on their part, she gives me a lame excuse. After giving her a few other feedbacks, she regurgitates the same old excuse. At this point, I've had enough and just left. To both your marketing team and upper management team, how would your customers know this if your staff aren't properly placing your advertisement(s) on a regularly basis? If you're understaffed, hire more people. If not, do look into this as this location (both staff and management) are inept in providing service recovery. The least she could have done was offer atonement. Yes, I do want a follow-up. read more

Late at night my wife came down with an awful bug. This is the only 24 hour pharmacy in a 30 minute drive from my house. Called the pharmacist, John, in advance, and he was tremendously helpful over the phone and let me know that I should come in quickly as the line is pretty constant. Was very kindly greeted when I got to the store by the checker. John was managing a line of 5 sick, unhappy people, and did an excellent job making sure everybody was helped as quickly as he could. He did a great job explaining the drug and the effects to me, and entering in my insurance info quickly and efficiently. He has a great attitude considering what he is dealing with (and that it was past midnight). Would highly recommend this pharmacy, and more specifically John the pharmacist, if you ever have the unfortunate experience of needing to fill a prescription late at night. read more

Would like to just drop a complaint over the pharmacy worker Lynn. She has an accent and a lisp and hardly speaks clear. When I ask her to repeat the first time, she got offended and yelled back. "Date of BIRTH?!" while giving me an offended look. Then an older pharmacist lady walks by from behind the counter and laughs. Is it that funny? She ended up asking if I had new insurance for the new year, and I could not make out what she was saying. I ask her to repeat again and she stares at me, not saying anything, as if she was gauging me emotionally. Are you serious? I am not here to fool around. I cannot understand you due to your speech problems and lisp. I am not trying to make fun of you when I said, "sorry, can you repeat that?" Absolutely ridiculous. I would have said something but I don't want her to mess with my antibiotic medicine. I will try my best to avoid her antics from now on. The pharmacist Ruby over at CVS at beryessa was rude and unkind . First they text me that my Rx is ready for pick up, when we get there the technician dispense the needles but no insulin , the technician told me to call the doctors office which i did and they said they faxed the RX 2 days ago .I asked the doc office to fax again which they did,I asked the pharmacist to verify if received and the pharmacist insisting they never received anything , so I felt like they just dropped the issue and nothing to do about it . It's my first time to go to that pharmacy to get my moms prescriptions, and I felt like she is not concern about not why the RX wasn't received , she keeps continue counting some pills on the table while I'm waiting what will be the next step , so I asked Ruby the pharmacist if she can call the doctors office to find out on why the RX wasn't receive ,she hesitated to do it instead she stated I don't want to guess " so finally the problem was the md office faxed a different medicine 3 x ,. The pharmacist should caught that and called the doctors office at once to let them know that They are getting a wrong RX faxed. As a patient ,I don't know what to do about it I did my part to call the doctors office which supposed to be the pharmacist job. At the end Ruby told me " if you wanna go back to Walmart you can" that's rude ! .I use to get my moms medicine at wall mart but cvs was closer to home that's why I moved . I hope the manager will read this and if you want more info about the situation let me know cause I recorded the whole conversation. Otherwise wise please make sure your pharmacist knows how inhale and exhale under pressure not being so unkind and rude to patients. I LOVE CVS! Any CVS! Sometimes you can get amazing deals by following their ads because they have what is called Extra Care Bucks (ECB), which is basically free CVS money. For example, this week they had a Halloween deal when you buy a 4-in-1 pumpkin carving tool for $2.49, you get $2.49 back in ECBs! The ECBs print out at the register after you initially pay for your items. That means it's practically free! Sure you don't get the instant savings, but at least you can save up your ECBs for another deal the following week and use that to pay for your items instead - basically rolling your rewards money to get more free items! Yay! But do remember to use your ECBs because they do expire - just like coupons. Plus if you register for a card and join their Beauty Club, you get $5 ECBs every time you spend $50 in beauty items. That includes toiletries too like shampoo, body wash, razors, etc - so it's really easy to get to $50. And remember to scan your card at the magic red coupon machine! It prints out coupons and your quarterly ECB rewards. Oh and scan it twice! Sometimes scanning your card the second time yields more coupons you might actually use. I've gotten coupons that helped me get items for free when stacked with manufacturers coupons or even free stuff right in store. Lastly, get a green bag tag for $1. Of course that means you'll need to bring your own reusable bag every time you shop but it also means you can get rewards. Really? I just left this location completely appalled by the cashier (Christian) or backwards store policy regarding cash back. The hubby and I checked out and used the "cash back" service on the automated terminal. The options are: "none" "$20" "$40" "other" To keep it simple, hubby chose $40 (a mediocre amount). Cashier Christian asked "how much did you choose?" And the husband said "$40.00" Christian got irritated and goes "it's supposed to be $35, but I HAVE to give it to you now". WTF?!?! This review is for the pharmacy only. I HATE THIS PHARMACY WITH A PASSION. Here are my reasons: 1. They gave me the wrong sized dispenser for my son's ORAL STEROIDS. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? 2. My new insurance doesn't cover an old medication. They didn't tell me upfront, but wasted my time getting all my personal information AGAIN, while I'm holding a baby in my arms and with a sick child waiting for me, before telling me. I would have updated the next time I came in, since I was picking up NOTHING ANYWAY. (And really, they don't need my information, as if I'll come back!) 3. They do NOT call you to tell you that your new insurance will not cover your medication. YOU have to go in and ask. 4. There are morons working here who can't look up the number for your old Walgreens location when the list is POSTED ON THE WALL. 5. I visited on 1/5 around 4pm, the line was super long at the registers so I decided to used the self-checkout station. It is not user friendly, and maybe that's why no one was at self-checkout. After i placed my item on the bag area, for some reason it automatically called for employee help. Then a girl came behind saying !! Excuse me excuse me!! and scanned her phone and just left to continue working at the register. She left it on the manager screen so I could not proceed with my checkout. Then another girl came from behind to clear out the screen again rudely saying Excuse me!! . She had a shitty tone in her voice, she said "if it's at the red screen that means it's not for you." Well damn then why the hell did your co-worker leave the station for? I also had a coupon from the CVS receipts and the scanner would not scan it. Then this same rude woman told us that we had to go to the real register and wait in the long ass line because the self-checkout could not scan their own CVS coupons. She said because it's too light. This CVS is so convenient because it's 24 hours. Everything is always stocked and the employees that work late nights are always helpful and quick. The parking lot could get really full during the day time since this plaza is shared with other little stores. During the day, there is usually a person outside asking for donations. Sometimes there are a few sketchy people outside, so remember to bring someone with you if you're going at night. Also, if you don't have a CVS card, get one now! You save so much money using their coupons. They also e-mail you some discounts and their "CVS bucks" that you can use as "cash" in all CVS stores. :) read more

Sometimes when someone is sick in the middle of the night and we find no medicine in the house, CVS is close by for us to drop by, buy medicine and head on home to rest up. I was on the phone talking with a male pharmacist about a prescription. He was talking very fast and I asked if he would slow down. His reply, "We are very busy today and have a lot of customers." My reply to him, "I am your customer now and if you don't mind, the others can wait until I am finished, thank you." I heard one of those, annoying "Sighs", and than a smart mouthed, "How can I help you." Without getting into a useless argument about his attitude, I asked again about the prescription and after he profusely apologized for his attitude, he kindly helped me. I had another similar incident with a female pharmacists. However, what triggered me is that she said my name was not on the database. I repeated my name and birthday 3xs until it finally showed on the system. Then she proceeded to talk very fast and when I asked her to slow down she, "Sighed" slowed down and helped me. I hate going to this place because there are always dodgy people outside... I always feel like I have to grip my purse tightly to my body or somthing like that. But once you get over that, this place is alright. I love that their pharmacy is open late, and they always have everything I need to get over any current illness (coughs, colds, whatever). I just got back from this pharmacy and it's almost 2 am. Went into urgent care tonight. Had a total of 9 prescriptions sent over. I arrived at about midnight to fill. They didn't have my insurance on file and every med ordered needed to be changed from 60 to 30 day supply. The pharmacist ( older gentleman with glasses) was honest said he was behind and if I didn't mind waiting he could adjust everything. I'm sure it wasn't something he wanted to do while backed up but he was very nice, helpful and worked as quick as he could. Pharmacy service is either really great or really horrible. More often than not, it's on the bad end of the spectrum. On more than one occasion has my prescription NOT been ready when expected. Take this most recent visit for example: I refilled my prescription over the phone and my pick up time for 10 AM the next day was confirmed. I then go to pick it up the next day, well after 10 AM, and there is no refill ready. So then I have to wait 20 minutes. What's the point of using the automated refill system if it isn't going to work? Again, this is just the most recent example amongst several. There is only one time that my pharmacy experience was an excellent one, and that was thanks to Alvin. Even the pharmacy's customer service over the phone is bad; almost every phone call I've had has been an unpleasant experience. read more

This place as been around for as long as I can remember. In the past it was called Long's Drug Store. I do remember coming here while growing up, riding my bike to get a snack or something cold to drink. Now that CVS has taken over they service from the employees is good, and the stock level is nice to see, as in the past it was good too. You could find what you are looking for with no problem. I do not personally use this pharmacy so I can not comment on that, but everybody will have an option on that. read more

Outside the store could up appear to look sketchy due to the poor lighting. I know there is no work around for this issue so I can't remove points for that. Hospitality: Relatively pleasant workers at this CVS. Many times I would get a greeting when I walk in. That is great customer service. I see the managers walk around and asking if any of the customers need help. Great to see the leadership even pitching in when it is needed. Response time: It appears when there are more than three people in the line, they open up another cash register. This is a great business model to get all customers in and out of the store. Specialty / scrumptious: One specialty that comes to mind is that they have chilled Hennessy bottles ready for purchasing. I usually come to this CVS for alcohol. Lastly, this CVS is open 24 hours. I always stay calm and don't ever say anything about all of their mistakes, but it has just gotten to be ridiculous. This is my 3rd time attempting to pick up my prescription. I've lived by this CVS for about 2 years now. I smoke American Spirits. They consistently had the best price for them. After about a year and half, they simply stopped stocking them for me. I come in a couple times a week to pick them up and for the last few months, they just don't order them. They obviously can order them since the Milpitas location always has them for me. Despite my constant nagging for them to order them for me because they are literally a block away from my house, they still refuse to order them. I mean I've worked in retail and if a customer is willing to purchase something, you order it for them. Right? The only perk of this place is that it's open 24 hours. Even then, be warned that the pharmacy will be closed randomly for lunch. I completely understand that everyone needs a lunch, but there should be sufficient coverage so it is open. Came on a Tuesday night at 7, and there was a fatty line, waited 25 minutes in line only to have them tell me my prescription isn't ready yet EVEN THOUGH when I set the pickup time to me 6pm the prior day. She said it would be another 20 minute wait, even though it was supposed to be ready over 24hours ago!! After that she said she can expedite it, let's see how long that's going to take. read more
