Possibly the worst CVS service in TVs Bay Area! Called people behind us in the pharmacy - made us wait for 30 minutes. Finally had to ask what was going on. Oops - they forgot we were there. Another time cashier claims they cannot give the card discount if you forgot the card - which is not true, as most other CVS places allow it all the time. read more

Honestly, Yelp, I'm not sure what keeps me coming back. Habit, I guess? I used to love coming here when I was younger, when it was Longs. I would spend a bunch of time in the magazine section and in the makeup section. Longs was my jam. CVS, however, is more like my Vegemite. Like, I get that it appeals to some people, but for me, it's... eh? * Stock is OK. They have some interesting stuff, and the stock tends to be there if you're looking for it... except in the nut section. Why can I never find the peanuts I want? Do they have a customer who wipes them clean in one fell swoop? * Checkout lines are the worst. And with one or two exceptions, clerks need more training... people have jumped ahead of me and the clerks have done nothing; furthermore, many of them just give the "I can't do anything about it" answer if something is mismarked or mispriced. I understand there are corporate policies, but at least TRY to figure something out! (ETA: a day after writing this review, a coupon issue happened to some people in front of me in line. The clerk wasn't especially looking to make it work for the people... But the customers were, shall we say, unkind to the clerk over a few cents. Issues like this don't entitle you to be an argumentative unkind person.) * It takes FOR-E-VER to receive prescriptions even if your doctor calls them in. You have to check in on the pharmacy to make sure you'll get your prescriptions on time, and even then, they may not have it when you asked for it to be finished! The staff is nice enough, but (for example) if you're in extreme pain and they take forever with your meds, it's NOT COOL. * Oh yeah, parking is miserable. It's near a 24 Hour Fitness and, even though there are spots for "CVS customers only," my guess is that the gym people take the spots anyway. Compared to other CVS-es, it's OK. But they REALLY need to get the pharmacy stuff in order. Sitting around with a horrible migraine because they decided not to fill my order just yet is not my idea of "customer service." read more

Review is for the pharmacy. Every time I come to pick-up prescriptions here there's a delay and the staff is never pleasant about it. Today I had a similar experience where a prescription was called in last night for a procedure I'm having done today. I came to pick it up an hour before I have to be at the drs office and it still wasn't ready. I still have a 45 minute drive and the pharmacist just gave me a cold "we're busy" answer and told me to have a seat. I'm not sure why it's so hard for them to at the very least be pleasant and a bit more helpful but unfortunately it seems to be. I'd look at other pharmacy options in the area. Update 1-19-19 Sadly had to come back again and this pharmacy just gets worse and worse. I'm not sure why they aren't able to get it right but it just keeps going down. Have been very ill and dr. Called prescription in yesterday. Came this morning to pick-it up and they still hadn't even looked at the computer for the prescription called in more than 20 hours earlier. Earlier this week had the same issue - took two days for the pharmacy to fill the prescription. Another customer next to me in same situation... It just shouldn't be this hard. And the attitude still comes with the lack of customer service. :( updating to one star and moving on. I'd suggest you save the headache and do the same. So sad. read more

CVS has basically come in and and obliterated any and all reasons to shop at this drugstore. I come (came) here a lot since it's next to my gym and Longs used to have everything I needed. Since the change from CVS to Longs: -Checkout lines are consistently and unreasonably long. Either they only have 1 person checking people out and the line wraps around the aisle, or they have 2 and one of them is moving very slowly. Twice in the past two weeks I have actually given up waiting, left my un-purchased merchandise at the front, and left. Annoyed. -Their selection has probably been cut in about half. From energy bars to soap to office supplies - where the shelves aren't empty, they are filled with crap. -Longs used to have an amazing section devoted to natural and organic health and beauty. Burts, Avalon, Dr. Bronners, Kiss My Face, etc. abounded. They've downsized that to one shelf and replaced that section with crappy drugstore jewelry. At first I chalked it up to growing pains and a learning curve - adjusting and moving in. But this is unacceptable, especially now that they have been CVS for a while. read more

Rude and disrespectful. The pharmacists a smug jerk and is always rude. Every time I'm here he delays my refills and then says come back the next day and when I do the refill is never ready. This guy needs to find a place to work where service doesn't matter. It's so stressful to deal with this sad group of non professionals. Even the cashier is rude. I watched a lady cry for 10 minutes because the cashier wouldn't help her. It's such a let down to see how people in need are treated so poorly. Walgreens... please fire your staff and start over. Train your people! If they don't like their job fire them and find somebody that will do it with a smile. It blows me away every time I'm in your store how poor the service is. Hey. I posted a review here before but I guess it's gone? Where to start. CVS is actively discriminating against empoverished Trans/LGBTQ/NB people? I went in on Friday night after trying for almost 3 days to get a post exposure Emergancy Prophylaxis script. It finally got the stamp from the county at 5:30 pm on Friday night and the Scripts said they were ready for pickup. All 6 of them. When I got there they told me that I had to go to a mail-order pharmacy for emergency truvada trough Medicaid and I could pay the 4000 dollars if I wanted. Of course the scripts were magically not listed as ready but listed as that the were last filled that day. Anyways, meltdown occored and I told them not to fill anymore of my prescriptions but of course they went and automatically refilled a bunch of other stuff including my nuerontin so I have to go back now? The pharmacy is awesome here. They are on top of their game! I have dealt with other CVS', one other one in San Mateo and another one in the East Bay, that hardly measured up to the service I receive here. And I moved away for a year to the East Bay and came back and am relieved to be back at this pharmacy. I'm super grateful for their awesome service which includes: prescriptions being ready when they say they will be ready, communicating with me if something comes up when attempting to refill a prescription, having a decent amount of staff/opening up more registers for long lines, not NOT letting me get a prescription because they can't print a prescription label (this has happened at the other CVS) and overall they are nice! They have great customer service and sense of urgency which I think is imperative for retail/customer service. The overall store is okay. The other day I dropped a script off and went to buy a water before I walked out. A gentleman was behind the register not in uniform/not in CVS branded clothing, but a button-down dress shirt and tie who looked to be in management. There was a customer there and I walked up to the his line as the others were full and he sent me off and closed his line and continued casually talking to the customer. I only had a water. Kind of annoyed me but otherwise I use the store quite a bit, mostly for my prescriptions. read more

I only came to this store by accident but I'm really impressed with the selection of the store. It's better than a Rite Aid and kind of like a mini Target without the khaki and red shirts everywhere. The prices here are very reasonable and you can get your essentials while getting a cheap pashmina as a bonus. They sell alcohol, lawn ornaments, loads of candy, and a very large selection of beauty products. I give this place 4 stars for the incredibly high end hair products at a great price. I bought Biosilk for $30 and got a $30 bottle of Silk therapy for free! The best thing is, no one would imagine this kind of stuff here. It looks like a country store sure, but it's trying to gain a wider range of people and I love it. The only downside is that there's only one register. Literally. I always seem to be stuck behind the woman that holds everything up and it's always when she's got a butt load of coupons and questions about Buy One Get One Free. )Grumble( read more

I shopped there for years way before the current workers and went in and sat down on a ledge inside as i was so exhausted and wasn't doing anything, The manager lady who is short and Caucasian with brown hair came and harassed and mistreated me and told me she was going to stand next to me while i shopped !!! The same day the light skinned hispanic man who works at the register.... when I asked him how much it was for 3 candies threatened to call the police as it was so close to closing time and he didnt want to answer my question as it was 2 mintues to closing. This is the only place I was able to find caramel blocks within a 5-mile radius around Halloween. They didn't have caramel at Long's, Safeway, Lucky, or Target. Like some other reviewers have stated, the check out lines took a really long time. There were two registers open, but both were equally slow and frustrating with over 5 customers in each line. I used to go to Long's for Jason Natural hair products because they were $2 cheaper than at Whole Foods. CVS doesn't carry it, so I have to order it online from vitacost.com, based in Florida. read more

Poorest customer service I have seen at any of the CVS chain stores, I don't normally shop here but needed some first aid after the gym. First the checkout line were 10 deep and they refused to open another line. Then once I had my turn the clerk said she needed my drivers licenses to purchase the item, I asked why and she could not explain nor could anyone else in the store. Never got an explanation and I did not make a purchase. read more

2/2010: I avoid this dump like the plague, even though its 2 minutes from my house...but the other day I gave into temptation and looked in their sale flier and saw some vitamins I like at "buy one, get one free"...so they hooked me, I went in. Had several kinds next to each other, all on sale, I bought 2 and some other stuff while I was at it. The second I got home I realized I paid too much, I ran RIGHT back to the store to show them that the vitamins didn't come up at buy one, get one free. Holy Moly, what a mess! The woman behind the register, Tiffany, rolled her eyes and looked at the bottle and scanned it; it came up at a higher price and she said "these are $11.99" and again I explained to her that they're on sale. She scanned them again (as if the price would self correct in the last 10 seconds) and said, "well, they're not on sale". I told her they had the "sale" sticker on the shelf and she literally just stared at me and did Nothing...it was so bad, I was still being nice and said, Again, they're on sale and I'd like to refunded the $11.99. She said "I don't know how to do that" and called over another cashier, this one more clueless than she. They both stood there, staring at the register like it was going to bite them....I could tell Tiffany just wanted me to take my bag and leave, but hell no, you guys lured me in this place, I'm getting my sale price! By now a line is starting to build up, I felt horrible having people have to wait because of me (they rarely open up 2 registers here it seems)....so the 2nd casher goes back to her register and again Tiffany says "I don't know why this doesn't scan" and I said, maybe you should call a manager? So she does; but no one comes....she calls him again, he comes up and I have to explain AGAIN that yes, this is on sale, I don't know why its not ringing up correctly. WIthout comment he walks away, I correctly assume he's going to the vitamin aisle but after 2-3 minutes I'm wondering where he went and sure enough, he's not looking in the right place.....so I point out the shelf to him and he peels off the sale sticker and brings that up to the cashier, who's still standing there and mumbling about how she doesn't know what to do. He puts in his Magic Key into the register and rings it up, and walks away with no explanations or apologies or anything. Tiffany looks exhausted and worn out and thrusts me my money, I still was smilng and said to the lady behind me in line, "don't you miss Long's?" and she laughed and said "YES I do".... Seriously, this is the last time I'm going in there, ever. I don't care if they slash all their prices down to nothing, GIVE stuff away, I don't care, I'm not going back. Ever. My husband still has his prescriptions filled there but I'm going to do everything I can to talk him into changing!! Seriously....WORST STORE EVER! read more

I have lived up the street from this cvs my entire life, and never has it been so awful as it is now. The employees always look so miserable and unhappy. Makes me dread coming here. The lines are unbearably long too. Maryann took her sweet time checking me out today while 5 other people waited behind me in line. She was also texting on her phone when I walked up and she didn't even acknowledge me or say hello. Not to mention she is a "shift supervisor". What the hell man? I won't be coming here anymore, and I will do everything I can to avoid this store, even if it means buying on amazon or bearing the traffic on 92 to get to target !!!! This place is a huge improvement over the old layout, the shelves are more organized, they are improving the quality of merchandise compared to other drugstores. CVS has learned that customer service should be better, since they bought out longs drugs and the store was a mess, because they little to improve the store, like how rite aid didn't fix the stores, and ended looking like dirty store. The checkout lines are quicker, and the pharmacy has improved after complaints from previous visits. CVS is putting effort into their stores and customer service has got better, even better than the old longs drugs, which their stores look outdated before the remodel. read more

(wish I had gotten her name) was really sweet and helped me right away and joked around with me. She was totally appropriate and professional. I could see that she had some problem customers before me and she handled them really well also. Okay, the Sequoia Station CVS is not up on Yelp yet, so I am using this one for a review. I saw the "new" CVS last night and thought I was in the wrong space-time continuum. They transformed our newly-remodeled lovely Longs in Sequoia Station into what looks like a trashy 99 Cent Store. Walmart-like signs everywhere, left half of the store where really nice toiletries were beautifully displayed now chopped off into a stockroom. I feel so sorry for former employees of Longs if they stayed on. read more

The manager at this location implied that he was doing me a big favor when I returned an item (a) within the return period, (b) with the receipt, and (c) in pristine condition. The manager acted like the money was coming out of his pocket. No, actually. CVS is a multi-billion dollar corporation. There's no reason CVS's return policy should be any different from any other MBDC. He also said some items aren't returnable. Funny how these items are not labeled or signed as non-returnable. You don't find out till you try to return them, And since they aren't marked non-returnable, that means the list of non-returnable items can expand any time at CVS's discretion. This is a deceptive retailing practice. Forget CVS and their attitude. read more

Worst CVS EVER! I don't know what it is, but East Coast CVS stores are COMPLETELY different from the CVS stores in CA - which are TERRIBLE! On the East Coast, they are fast, efficient, and well-kept. This review is in regards to the Pharmacy. I was refilling my allergy medication that I have been taking for 3 years and always filled at a CVS pharmacy. This was great when I moved so I could select the CVS location closest to me. I requested a refill of my prescription online since CVS texted me a reminder that I was due for another. This occurred 2 days before I went to the store to pick it up. Once I arrived at this store, they noted that I did not have any valid prescriptions on file and the order was not filled (not that I got any notice of this). I asked how was that possible when I already had my prescription filled the previous month at THIS SAME STORE! They had no explanation. However, when another pharmacist looked me up on a different computer next to the checkout counter, he found my prescription and the order from the previous month. HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE?!?! Isn't it all one system? Anyway, so I decided to wait for the prescription to be filled and the pharmacist noted that he would call my name once the order was ready. I waited...and waited...and waited. Two names were called (neither were mine). I waited some more, and just when I was standing in the pick up line so I could get an update, I turn on my phone (had low battery) and realized that CVS sent me a text message 15 minutes ago stating the order was ready! Granted they sent me the message, but I was waiting for my name to be called, not for a notice on my phone! So, I waited 15 extra minutes with EVERYONE else who were probably also waiting for their name to be called and are probably still waiting. What if some people didn't sign up for text messaging? I mentioned this to the cashier and she never answered why or apologized for the wait or mistake. All in all, a quick refill turned into 45 minutes of torture. Never again CVS. read more

For pharmacy only (I have no issues with the cashiers and staff that works in the store part): I had to switch to CVS from Walgreen's due to an insurance change. I didn't realize how good Walgreen's had treated me the last 15 years. I have filled 5 prescriptions at CVS in the last 3 1/2 months. None have been close correct. Twice they told me they faxed the dr for , but hadn't heard back. Once I called the doctors to expedite, found out neither doctor had received the fax. Three times prescriptions were not ready when promised. Once they only gave me one of my prescriptions (of 2) for my child and I would have gone home had I not come back from the car to get my credit card they didn't give back. The pharmacist had been mixing it in the back and the clerk had charged me but given me an empty bag. All 5 times I waited in line for up to ten minutes, once when no one was in front of me. I've never seen someone just pop in and pick up their prescription. Not a good place to have an adjacent blood pressure machine. read more

We're moving soon, and I never thought I'd actually miss a store like this -- but aside from the occasional slowness at the register during busy times (I didn't go to the pharmacy), my experience has been surprisingly positive. After being a happy Walgreen's customer for years, I switched over to CVS because my employer has a corporate deal with them to provide prescription drug services. Now that I've been obliged to go to CVS for a year and half, I now can safely give them a one star review with a perfectly clear conscience. And no this is not based on a single isolated event that had me fuming. This is a year and half's worth of experiencing what a crummy shopping experience this place is. Prescriptions not filled when they were promised, long lines and a generally dreary feeling about the store. But today was the last straw. I called in a prescription for my allergy medicine, which I've been taking for about 15 years. The sales associate behind the counter at the pharmacy tells me that because of a known glitch in their software he cannot let me leave the store with my medicine without speaking to their pharmacist, who happened to be at lunch. The sales rep insisted that this is a ridiculous corporate policy that he has complained about to his management for years, but unfortunately there's nothing he can do about it, and the staff of the CVS would face a stiff rebuke if I were to have my prescription filled. This is silly because I'm pretty sure all that would happen would be they would ask me if I wanted to speak with the pharmacist and I would decline, so why the hell couldn't I just waive my instructional session and get on with my life? He then informed me that my options were to wait 20 minutes or come back another time. I think I have one more option - switch to a mail-order pharmacy and never bother with what is clearly the B team, sorry make that the D-team of retail chain pharmacies? I don't give them out often, but one star clearly well deserved here. read more

i left my credit card behind at this CVS recently. normally i'm watchful, but did not notice this time that the clerk did not return my card to me. and it was the store manager who was handling the merchandise return for me on the day of the transaction. when i went to get the card two days later, it was the same person who came up front to return my card when the register clerk called for the 'store manager'. and he denied originally waiting on me. i showed him my receipt for that day with the clerks ID number on it. no comment. in fact, he would not even look at it. and no 'sorry about that' ..either from him personally ..or on behalf of the store in general. come to think of it, he never did look me in the face either day i was doing business with him. to avoid looking at someone during your interaction with them is the ultimate in rudeness.. and demonstrates very poor customer service. needless to say, i am no longer a CVS customer. read more

This review is for the photo service. I've ordered pictures 3 times through Shutterfly for 1 hour pick up at CVS. Every time I requested pick up at this location they've always misplaced my photos. I've had to wait for someone to help me and then when I get someone to help they can never find my order. This most recent time the person didn't even help me find the photos so I had to go through every single photo myself until I found my order. Again it was filed incorrectly. How hard is it to file it under the correct letter? 2 stars for poor photo customer service. read more

Even though they have several helpful employees, there is one woman who works in the pharmacy that needs to be fired ASAP. I think her name is Carol. The one that's very tall and never smiles. She is extremely rude to the customers and I, along with several people who use to fill our prescriptions there no longer do so. I don't care whatever problems you have with the company or with whoever, customers do not deserve a dirty look and being thrown their purchases across the counter. I have even seen her calling customers and coworkers stupid and other names while I was waiting in line. This store needs a lot of improvement and the first step is to fire this woman! read more

When I asked if my coupon was applied becaude I saw in the system that it wasn't, the woman at the counter was super rude and said I don't know can you let me finish with an attitude. Wrong Dose I normally don't write a review, but this pharmacy is very dangerous. If you deiced to get your medications here, please check to make sure that they have given you the correct medication and the correct dosage. They gave me the wrong dosage and when I got home I realized that they had done that. I took it back and although it had not been opened they would not take it back. They did not even apologize for their mistake. I work in a hospital and medication error is very dangerous. We would write and incident report and this kind of mistake would be reviewed. At this pharmacy they don't really care. They don't think that it is a big deal. I feel that they are very rushed and don't have time to check medications. The pharmacist does not have the time to explain new medications. I think that this is a dangerous place to get your medications. read more

Unlike some of the other reviews, I've never had problems here. Always good good service from pharmacy and customer service. Checkout counters were quick too. There is a good variety of food, magazines, etc. Only complaint is that sodas such as Coke and Pepsi often cost more (for example $2.00 for a 2L bottle) but if you wanted food a better choice would be a grocery store. read more

Even though we have given CVS thousands & thousands & thousands of dollars since we have been shopping there for 20 years....& have only returned two items in that whole time , both times with receipts in hand...because I didn't hold on to the plastic wrapper that my eye pencil was in that was dried out...the Hispanic woman with long hair accused us of stealing & has always now treated me & my family like we are criminals. We had a receipt and it was one pencil, a dried out pencil of $6 bucks that I just wanted to exchange. I didn't even want money back. So if you have a return hold onto your plastic wrapper or whatever it came with so that you're not treated like a criminal. This place has really gone down hill anyway. Our prescriptions never are ready on time anymore either. You call in for a prescription a week in advance, you get there and they say you have to wait another 20 min. Maybe it's time to transfer all our meds to somewhere else and take all of our money somewhere else as well. Be prepared to be treated as a criminal for any returns or exchanges even though you have a receipt in hand. The funny thing is...we come from a family of cops...both sides of our family wear the uniform and have served their whole lives protecting the people. We respect the law & the good men& women who wear the uniform, the real uniform with the real badges. And I'm not profiling I'm Hispanic myself. read more

Can't decide who is slower - the employees doing checkout, or the people in line fishing coins out of their pocket/purse. Lines are often too long. I also sent a few photos here online. The price was next to nothing but the email they sent me was for a higher price due to a minimum order size not shown on the site. I emailed to cancel immediately but got a generic reply. Their system now automatically calls me every saturday to tell me pictures are ready. Very annoying. read more
