UNBELIEVABLE !!!!! They don't even deserve a 1 star. Do not trust this pharmacy!!!!!!!! My friend's doctor called them to ensure his post-surgery medicine would be in stock. Guess what- for the SECOND TIME his medicine was out of stock when we went to pick it up post-surgery. I can't even believe it. He's in so much pain and they don't have the medicine they ensured they would have. The doctor's office called because of this happening for his first surgery- and it happened AGAIN! They sent him the day of- just hours AFTER the surgery- that he needed to check back in TWO DAYS for it to be stocked. Not to mention that the prescription from his first surgery MONTHS before STILL is processing?!?!?!?! I can't even. Thank God I had an injury from months before and I was able to give him SOMETHING at least, although he still is in so much pain. On top of it, when I had an accident and needed a prescription, the same thing happened. DO NOT TRUST CVS!!! Only trust mom & pop pharmacies. I would never set foot in here if it wasn't for my job making me, the front register staff is very nice and efficient, this is NOT about the front staff. The pharmacy staff on the other hand is a bunch of robotic morons who don't communicate with each other let alone their costumers. These people are Incompetent, illiterate, and rude, I was told by their staff my order would be ready at 6:45pm, I just now left with said order and it's currently 8:45pm, did they call and let us know there was a problem? Nope, did they apologize once? Absolutely not. It's absurd how clueless they are, the black void look in their eyes when I ask them what the problem is, I stay incredibly calm and try to be helpful, giving them information, reading off insurance numbers (even though it was sent and received by them via fax) but after hour 2 I'm starting to get a little bit annoyed! They weren't insanely busy or anything either. Every single CVS I have been to has this problem, it's incomprehensible that they can all hire these mindless drones and mismanaged every single store, truly it baffles me. Saturday Nov. 30 2021 my husband and myself got the appointment to get the booster shot for Covid 19.... at 3;30 pm The process was smooth, received my vaccine 15 minutes late from my scheduled appoint... that I can tolerate.. so many people there for the same purpose.. HOWEVER, there were two very important issues I want to address: 1) The person who administered the shots ( injections) to the customers did not followed the infection control techniques...NO GLOVES were changed between giving shots to customers. Upon questioning her, she said " I didn't change for the last three customers.. but I will do so now" 2) She was not wearing a name tag , so no one can ID her... I asked if she was a pharmacist or a licensed nurse, she said she was an RN. This is so scaring that an RN, a trained Health Professional , did not follow the infection control technique when administering injections to people. Cross contamination and transmission of blood born diseases can be a real problem when gloves were not change between customers. I hope the management at CVS will read my report and will do some infection control training/ quality assurance compliance to the staff at CVS.. read more

I visit this CvS when I'm in L.A. Visiting my family. I normally walk there because I don't have access to a car. It's the closest store to where they live. The store is very clean, well stocked, and organized. Getting in and out of the lot is very easy. You can normally count on some beggars outside the store. The staff at the store are not very friendly. They treat customers like a nuisance. Prices on certain items seem to be a bit high. Not sure I'd go there, if I had a different choice. read more

A-Ok..... The reason I like coming here, is because I'm never bothered by anyone. I walk in, get what I need, go to the self register, pay and leave. Every so often I have to talk to the cash register employee and they're usually never nice. Seems like they dread their job. The line for the pharmacy is usually 95% of the time LONG! One of the WORST expereinces I've ever had, anywhere. I was pretty sick and went to their Minute-clinic. Well, I signed up online so I could skip the line and where I get there, their sign-in machine was broke and the nurse REFUSED to honor the fact I made an appointment. So I sat and waited, and then she wrote me a prescription. Once I get to the pharmacy, 20 minutes after they've taken the script, the head pharmacist informs me that they are out of what I needed. Okay, whatever, I live down on the Westside so I made them send it to Marina Del Rey (after work, four hours later). On my way home after work, I called MDR and the girl on the phone informed me that my prescription had been back ordered across the state for four months. HOW DID NOBODY KNOW THIS? When we went to go pick it up, they claimed they never received any request and made us wait for over an hour - having us go around in circles. I was in great pain of UTI when my doctor called in to fill antibiotics. The pharmacist on duty on 6/22/2023 refused to fill the prescription bec he believes it will cause bad reaction with another medication I've been taking. My doctor called in but he still wanted to clarify with the same doctor who had called it in. Had I not called I wouldn't have known while their app shows that it's in process. First of all they already filled The same antibiotics 3 weeks prior. I don't know what God given right be had to refuse a doctor's order. My doctor who knows all my meds and my history. he refused to fill my meds and called his manager who looked like straight from high school. I will file a complaint against them. ive never seen a pharmacist dying for recognition playing a doctor, pharmacist and FDA officer and a manager who can't figure out how customers should be handled. I was there recently for my 2nd COVID booster, and the young woman who administered the booster for the woman ahead of me was not wearing a mask. Really?!?! I had to ask her to put one on, and she had a flimsy surgical mask which was better than nothing. Today, I went to the self-checkout and on top of the scanner was a half empty bottle of alcohol. I asked the CVS self-checkout attendant to remove it and he accuses me that the alcohol is mine! I am standing there in disbelief that this employee is accusing me and another patron comes to my aide and berates him for falsely accusing me. You can clearly watch your cameras and see it was not mine and it was there before I arrived. How do you falsely accuse a patron for what is clearly a complete negligence on behalf of CVS and its employees? I came back in to speak to a manager about how I was treated and the lady also accused me of it being my bottle of alcohol! They did not want to take responsibility for their error so they decided to blame it on me. So I go home and get on the phone to speak with someone else and they then accuse me of the same thing! I thought I was genuinely in the twilight zone watching a bunch of clowns operate CVS. Then when I tell the manager on the phone to watch the camera you can clearly see I refused to use the self checkout until the open bottle of alcohol was removed he responds by saying this CVS location doesn't have security cameras. I was able though to successfully report this CVS location to Alcohol and Beverage Control for negligence on their behalf and to also make a report to the L.A. Health Department. A severe lacking in both morals and ethics in the culture here at CVS that is stemming from management levels and trickling down to the employees. Fortunately, at the end of the day, I myself can say I have never, nor would I ever treat someone the way I was treated here today. It's evident that core values are slipping away from people and CVS is not gaging ethical standards amongst it's workers prior to offering them employment. I went there on a several different occasions and I don't know what the problem is! It's either the workers are just too old to be working at a location where a lot of people go to or the workers are just mentally slow. I went there yesterday just to get a pack of cigarettes but the lady took almost 15 mins to check the item out. She would be talking on the phone and would be pacing left and right to help the person on the phone. When it finally came to attend to us, she had to the time squabble with a co worker. The staff of the store could not have been less interested, and the pharmacy desk was the worst. Did not have the prescriptions in stock... ok, that happens. But refused to look up or call another CVS to see if anyone else had it. Merely suggested that I drive around, and pointed out that there's another store on Laurel Canyon. Wow. This pharmacy should be brought up on charges for malpractice and willful negligence. They have wrongly filled my prescription for Synthroid over 6 times. They never do anything to remedy the fact that they keep trying to give me a generic Synthroid called Levothyroxine that does not work for my system and can prevent my thyroid from working properly to the point of causing my body to go into a coma. The doctor has stated this and without the proper medication I could slip into a coma - because the medicine is the only thing keeping me going. Knowing this, CVS Pharmacy has still done nothing to repair giving me the wrong medicine every month. When I finally got upset and told them their mistake could end in my death the pharmacist said she was calling the police on me for disrupting her pharmacy and having me arrested for being angry with her. She claimed they have done nothing wrong and if I get the wrong medicine and it kills me it's my fault. It's a great attitude they have over there at CVS. When I asked them last month to try and get all my refill meds done on the same day so I didn't have to come in three times a week to get different medications - they actually laughed at me and said they liked to see me a lot and why should they make getting medicine easy for anyone ... as if it were all a big joke to them. There is always a god awful line at this place and the pharmacists are completely incompetent. They have proven efectively that they don't give damn who they harm. I am pursuing legal action to bring charges agains them. I think that all pharmacists should be held accountable for their actions when it comes to filling people's medicine responsibly. I could understand one or two mistakes - but this is the 6th time and that's not a mistake. At this point it's as if they are doing it on purpose. In any case, they should not get away with poisoning people because they are too lazy to look at the comments box on their computer to see if the client is allergic or to see any notes on the prescription - such as "DO NOT FILL GENERIC - and yet they keep doing it. This review is for the Pharmacy only. 1) The line to drop off or pick up prescriptions is ALWAYS ridiculously long with usually only one person working the counter. The wait line sometimes stretches an entire isle. 2) The wait on the phone to speak with someone is ALWAYS ridiculously long, never less than 10 minutes and when you do get someone on the line they are rude and dismissive like you're doing them a favor by using them. No "Hello" or "Goodbye" or any customer service kindness at all! 3) Your prescriptions will never be all complete and there is never an apology just another long wait. I've lived nearby this CVS for 8 years and the management feels different here. The manager does have a short temper. I never feel the need to leave a review but sometimes people at certain places of business have no patience for your questions as a customer and today I witnessed it again with a different customer. You ask a basic question regarding their coupons or items on sale and she starts acting aggressive and offensive to your legitimate question. CVS needs to take a hard look at the management here. If I could give zero stars, I would. It's bad enough that they often have low or no stock on things. But my biggest gripe with this CVS is: there are no people. This is bad when you need to buy razors, but it's really sucky when you want to check out. See, at this CVS, the people have been replaced by robots. Er, self-check out stations. I don't mind self check out in tandem with human being check out. That's fine, saves time, etc. But at this CVS, more often than not, there is NO HUMAN BEING checking people out. If they have an actual person in the front, he/she will only stand in the self check out area and tell you to use the machine. I know this is not CVS policy. And the interesting thing is, the two times I have seen a human being actually checking people out in the past 2 years, it's resembled something from a Kafka story. I'm talking 20 minutes to check out a little old lady who's buying one item with her credit card. Wow! I have a suspicion that the employees and managers at this particular location are actually the most lazy, under-motivated bunch of navel gazers ever to walk the planet. If the human race goes the way of these people, expect the robots to take over immediately. And really, it'd be for the best. The exception? The pharmacy. My doctor called a prescription in to CVS. I received an email through "My Chart" saying that it was approved and has been sent over. I proceeded to check my app for CVS and it said it was processing. I was going to be out and not have any more medication so it was very important that I picked it up. I sent a friend to get it because I'm quarantining. As I'm on speaker at the pharmacy with my friend and one of the pharmacist they claimed they canceled it and then another lady came up and said oh we never got it I went back to my app and it had disappeared. Therefore all weekend I'll be without my medication and I have proof through my app through my chart where it was processing and they just decided to cancel it or they claim it was never received well we know that's a lie because I have screenshots of them processing and end the dates. So here I am this weekend either having to spend all my time in the ER or just just go through withdraws. CVS is the worst pharmacy I've ever experienced across-the-board.
