Situated in its own dedicated parking lot along the main road within Solana Beach, CVS gets quite a bit of foot traffic from pedestrians out on their daily walk, run, and swim. The lot is typically vacant for shoppers so it's a convenient stop to get things quick. I came in specifically to stock up on sunscreen during my visit to San Diego county as I had forgotten to pack it in my luggage. When you're in sunny San Diego, you better lather up before you burn! As I walked in the store, the staff greeted me and as I was browsing the aisles, they inquired and directed me to where I needed to go for the sunblock options. I appreciated them taking time out of their morning restocking and inventory runs to help me out. The sunblock section was organized and had nearly every brand you could have wanted including the Blue Lizard one we typically use. Sprays and lotions were available with varying SPF ratings. To top things off, many of them had deals to earn you additional CVS cash that can be used at the store for future purchases. When I went to go pay, they primarily had self checkout kiosks. It was quick and easy but should you need any assistance, the staff are at the ready to get you sorted. Overall, CVS shines in its convenience and this one is well stocked for all of your everyday needs. What truly makes the difference for me was the level of customer service offered from the first step in the store to the checkout process. I was satisfied with my experience with the store because of its friendly staff and the abundance of options for each type of item. When the need arises, CVS has what you need when you need it!

I politely said no and explained I had been trying all morning. She asked for my info to verify the prescription, told me it would be ready in four days, and then abruptly hung up without giving any explanation or confirming whether they were out of stock. I understand being busy, but this was beyond unprofessional. No communication, no courtesy, and no regard for someone trying to avoid a gap in essential medication. I finally decided to go in person and waited in line and explained the situation and asked Von's to contact my doc's office so the prescription would definitely go to the right pharmacy and they refused to contact the office, I had to call the office again myself. This is for a topical cream, and a local doctor. So don't let them talk you into transferring your scripts in unless you don't mind having to go in person for help and then not getting any!

My questions were thoroughly answered, and I always left feeling confident in managing all my medications. They also have good prices (on par with other discount pharmacies), but what really makes them stand out is the care, compassion, and attentive service they provide. The staff always treated me like a member of the family! They are lovely people, who genuinely talk and connect with you as a person, not just a number. My wife and I live in San Diego - her folks in Orange County and her 90 year old grandfather lives in Temecula...It takes them almost 2 hours to get to him and us about forty..and in a typical situation that would be fine - but he has had a double knee replacement surgery, his dog just died and his amount of exercise is down.
