RACIST CVS! The dumb cock-eyed cashier who works at night would not sell me cough medicine because I don't have a California ID, and would not accept any other form of identification. As soon as this happened my dad came from the car to get the medicine for me and they still would not sell it to me saying it was the same as selling me alcohol. Go to Walgreens instead! I cannot believe this place. Not only is it old and dingy, but the pharmacy is HORRIBLE. At first I was attracted to the fact that the pharmacy was open 24 hours a day, but that does not make up for the terrible, terrible service. My prescription is rarely ready when I get there, even though I received the electronic call from the pharmacy saying it is ready. Worse yet, they always pull out the prescription (which has distinct packaging) out of the bag every time, even after I asked them not to. There is no privacy wall or anything either. I talked to the only competent person there about this, and she said they should not be doing that (even though one pharmacist claimed she had to, which NO other place I have gone before ever claimed). Additionally, there are always a million people behind the counter, looking busy (not filling prescriptions, either), and never a person to help you. I used to go to the CVS at El Monte in Mountain View, and thought it was great. I switched just because I moved. I have never been so disrespected at a pharmacy in my life. Story time: I am keeping an eye on two teenage twin boys and one of them came down with a flu-like bug. I went with the other twin to pick up NyQuil for him at this CVS since it was the closest open one. These boys have their driver's permits. The twin with me handed the man at the checkout the money, and he asked for an ID. I started to ask if a driver's permit would suffice and he cut me off MID-SENTENCE saying that he wasn't asking me because the twin handed him the money. I asked if I could purchase it instead and he snapped at me and said that no, he saw the twin trying to buy it and he wasn't going to let me purchase. So not only was he incredibly rude to me, but he also humiliated me--there was a large line behind us. I know I look young but I'm 30 years old and did nothing to deserve the rudeness this man was exuding. Now I do understand that there are strict regulations on controlled substances in medication. That, I get. But the way this man treated me? I am incredibly insulted and quite frankly, I'm beyond infuriated. I am shocked and appalled with how he handled this situation, so I will never go back to this location again and will gladly pay the extra $2 to buy the same thing at Safeway down the street. They were happy to take my business and valid ID for this purchase. And the twin who is horribly sick here at home can finally get a better night's rest without choking on snot rockets, no thanks to Jerk Checkout Man at this CVS. read more

This place was not the greatest when it was a Long's, but it has gone downhill. I do not like to write negative reviews but this place is not real! Some points: 1. Lots of parking 2. Some "strange" people walking around outside the front door throughout the day, especially at night. People you would like to avoid. 3. There can be 20 customers waiting in the check out line with one cashier. 4. Hard to find anyone to help answer questions. 5. The Pharmacy is a good place to avoid! Below is an example: I went to pick up my prescription. Does anyone speak and understand English or care about customers? I gave my name and received someone else's medication, and a completely different prescription. I explained to the person who helped me that this was not my prescription. I then received someone else's prescription. Again I returned it, and the third time (I had to wait 20 minutes) I received a prescription with my name on it and a dosage 4 times what the doctor had prescribed! At that point I asked to see the pharmacist, who did not understand the problems that I had just experienced. That is to say the pharmacist was indifferent and did not express an opinion. I did get a blank stare. Perhaps the pharmacist does not speak? It took four tries to get the correct medication. Then I decided to shop around. I was paying $144 a month for my medication at CVS. Target charges $10 for a three month supply, and Costco less than $7.00 for a three month supply. Why such a difference? So Costco has my business. read more

This is probably the worst pharmacy I've ever experience. There were more than 10 people at the pharm alone. The pharm techs are lazy doing their own thing, while there were several patients waiting for drop off and pick ups. Very disorganized and no one seemed to know what they're doing. Young and inexperienced with no adult to take charge of the place. First when u dropped off, told me 10 min wait. The after 15 min, told me not ready yet so I opted for text message when ready. Then another 5 min for pick up. Was told that I need to have consultation. Waiting more than 15 min for consultation finally I took my meds and left. The guy had no idea what he was doing with patient b4 me. Will def change pharmacy. Don't waste your time here seriously! In all, I was at this cvs for more than an hour for 1 lousy meds. read more

Wow. Just wow... I called the pharmacy to check on some things on wait for 10 minutes. Someone picks up the line and asks if I can hold, without answering they put me back on hold. That's fine I understand especially if they are busy. But then 5 minutes later someone picks up the line and disconnects. Poor customer service. read more

Worse pharmacy ever!! Came in on Friday morning to pick up a subscription after just having surgery. Pharm tech lady told me they restocked my subscription because I hadn't picked it up. She said it'll take another 20-30 mins to refill. I had just woken up from anesthesia and was feeling too weak to stick around to wait. I told her I'd come back. Tuesday evening I made it out there again after work to pick up the prescription. Same lady tells me it was restocked!! She said it wasn't restocked last Fri (she was mistaken) but it has since been restocked. She told me to wait another 20 mins! So ridiculous!! read more

This CVS has gone through a lot of changes! Remodeled and under new management and both were welcome changes. The store is much more modern now and the store is just overall cleaner. I never had any issues with the store personnel before and they are still great, very friendly and accommodating. If you live near by give them a look! read more

Every time I go here to pick up my prescription it is either never ready, they can't find my name, or it is apparently expired. I always have to wait for 10 - 15 minutes or even come back the next day until they figure things out. Always call ahead to make sure everything is all set. read more

A completely unprofessional establishment, as someone who was newly diagnosed with an illness and prescribed medication this CVS Pharmacy has put a horrid taste in my mouth. Twice I've had a prescription filled here without issue and on my third refill I found myself completely blackballed by the Pharmacists at the behest of their manager. The reason? I see my Doctor through Telehealth. I've spent the last 3 weeks trying to talk to the Manager and get it resolved and getting my doctor to call and talking to CVS Corporate to see what the policy is only to find out my Doctor has called but they still refuse to fulfill the prescription, and told me even if they would fill it they're out of stock. The Pharmacy manager at this location is dismissive, unprofessional, and should not work anywhere near anything resembling healthcare services. I was questioned on why I see a telehealth doctor as well as lied to. The only takeaways I have from this experience is CVS as a company has no policies or standards in place regarding clearing prescriptions or verifying continued clients, and if should you experience any issue just take your prescription elsewhere. It will save you and your doctor a lot of trouble and time. I've spent weeks trying to have this matter resolved only to find out I've been wasting my time. read more

everytime i come in here i always have a bad experience. it's always busy and never enough cashiers. a woman in my same aisle pressed the help button. and waited ten minutes, then i had pressed the button again and waited almost another 10 minutes. they seem really short staffed. the manager at the front seemed to really care about the fact that i waited this long and offered to help me out. previous times the line is almost halfway down the aisle. in conclusion, hire some more employees read more

This CVS used to be a Longs, which was not a very good store to begin with. The customer service here is pretty much non-existent and when you can find someone who works there, they are rude and unhelpful. The store is clean and there is a lot of parking, so I've added those niceties into the rating or this would be a one star review. Honestly the worst CVS I've been to. I came in with my mother to get her prescribed antibiotics, cough syrup, and also her nasal spray since we figured out she has pneumonia. We waited in line for a good 15-20 min just for them to tell us that the prescriptions were not ready until the next day. This review is for the women pharmacist. I work at a dental office and we sent prescriptions thru our online program. A patient called me that he was told their was no prescription for him. I called around 11am and the women answered rudely pretty much saying they just opened and duh their wouldn't be anything ready. I verbally gave her the prescription after being put on hold various times. Over and hour later I received another call from the patient that they still hadn't received the prescription and he asked numerous times and was told no. Once again I called and was on hold for 25 mins until I decided to call from my mobile and I got helped in less than 5 mins. I told her I talked to her over an hour ago and verbally gave her the directions and the patient is waiting. She then went on that he was told to wait an hour and I'm like that's not what he's telling me and rudely she replies " mam I told you an hour so it's an hour" and she would go quiet and talk on the background and then answer me until I just hung up. I called the patient back and he told me they were so rude and unprofessional. I apologized numerous times even though it wasn't our fault but being in this industry dealing with people, I wouldn't want to be helped by someone like her. I've been to CVS pharmacy in other states and this one is close to my place. But there's always a long line, and when I tried asking about some prescription refills, they couldn't find it in the system. They seem very disorganized and when I phone, they're always putting me on hold. I am reluctant to come this pharmacy sometimes, and the last time, I made some purchase while picking up some medicine, the pharmacist or technician made some comment about the groceries I was purchasing. I can understand why people go to online stores, especially the quality of customer service downgrading so much. I may just go to the Caremark for my prescriptions and just have them delivered. It's pretty sad that a pharmacist would stress someone out when that person is picking someone's medicine. Even more recently, since I moved from Virginia to California, you would think that getting my medicine refilled would be simple since all the information should be in their system. Not with this one. Every time I've gone to this CVS pharmacy to ask about a medicine to be refilled, I'm told I need to contact the pharmacy in Virginia to get them to stop putting in on hold. Hello? I'm paying them. Why do I have to do all the work. Even the CVS pharmacy in Virginia thought they were being ridiculous. It makes me wonder if Walgreen's is better. I really hate this pharmacy...I've even here a few months and each time I come I have to spend an hour or more getting my simple (and continued) prescriptions figured out because I have to wait in line at the pickup window and then at the drop off window and then the pickup one again...the pharmacists I've talked with are all very awkward and short when speaking. They don't answer questions very well, treating them like dumb questions. It seems like a very dreadful place to work because no one is in good spirits and they seem to feel a little bad when they've realized they haven't treated me very well as a customer, but they still haven't treated me that well. If you can find a different pharmacy to go to, definitely do. read more

They said they would call on the intercom. 35 minutes later I was back in line to ask about the wait. They gave me back my identification and told me it would be another 45 minute wait. The pharmacy here is often swamped. In the afternoons I often see a line of 12 or more customers. This leads to long waits and the pharmacists being impatient with answering questions because they are trying to rush on to the next customer. read more

The pharmacy is the worst. I came here to have flu shot. The have a big banner said "the flu shot here" on the front desk. But when I went on, they asked me " Deos the minute clinic close?" I replied "I don't know I came here because you have banner said " flu shot here". Then they asked me to check the minite clinic. And the minite clinic are closed. I came back to front desk and wait for 20 monutes. They asked the same question " Does the minute clinic close?" I said "Yes, it's lunch time." Then the pharmacist replied " You still need to wait for 30 monites". I already spent 20 minites to wait for they replied and finally I gave up. The most disapppinted thing is the pharmacists' attitude are bad. It seems they don't care about losinf the patients cuz they are busy. I agree with some of the reviewers' comments that the customer service is TOTALLY lacking in this store. Just went to this store today and had a bad experience overall. The pharmacist was not friendly, almost a bit rude in attitude. The cashier/supervisor wasn't helpful when paying - didn't bring my CVS card and somehow my phone # didn't work (which is weird), asked husband to send a picture of the card #, she couldn't scan it and said that she couldn't typed in the card #, without offering any other solutions. What a difference in customer service compared to Walgreens!! The pharmacist was smiling and friendly, offered to help without me asking for it. I walked in with a 25% off coupon that my friend gave to me since she wasn't going to use it. CVS said that because I wasn't the person on the coupon I couldn't. She insisted on taking the coupon away from me as well. That's a real shame and frankly, not appropriate business behavior. I could have given it back to my friend. 1 star. He still didn't want to do it, didn't even attempt to fax anything to start the transfer. I go the next day and now they lost my paperwork for the transfer. Super unprofessional. Horrible service. My review is not directed to this particular store, but is a general review of my CVS experience since they took over longs. My RX is never ready when I go to pick it up, even though I am signed up for their autofill service. I also signed up to get a reminder call, to tell me that my RX is ready. I get a call 3 days past when my prescription is actually supposed to be ready (I take birth control and if you miss a pill it isn't a simple inconvenience, it is important that i take my pill on time everyday, so the fact that I pick up my RX 3 days late is a problem). I never had these problems when CVS was Longs, they were so much more efficient and if I had a problem it was handled right away. I have informed every pharmacy tech that I encounter when I go to pick up my RX, they always understand my complaint and concern, but for the year I have been using them nothing has changed. I tried to be patient, but they just lost a customer...I called my MD to change who handles my RX. CVS policies needs to change! read more

I don't know if should be reviewing this CVS since I never been inside the store it self, but I do however deal with the pharmacy over the phone, Since this is where I get my meds from. So I will be basing my review on that. Well here goes most of the time when I do call in to inquire about my meds I do get put on hold witch is typical I am just guessing that it can be the time of day that I choose to call. If I do get put on hold I just eventually hang up and call in later. Some times I get lucky and not get put on hold and when that happens I always ask to speak with their senior pharmacy tech. This tech always answers my questions or issues that i have with my prescriptions. So far just as long as I ask for this tech I haven't any any problems getting my prescriptions done. I also have looked at other reviews of CVS locations it all basically the same I just wonder why people don't like CVS but still go there any way. ? Well folks I give this pharmacy 3 stars since I am reviewing how they deal with me over the phone, maybe I will have to update my review when i get a chance to go in a see the pharmacy in action for myself.
