Yesterday, I was there to pick up my prescriptions after having received multiple messages and calls about my prescriptions being ready, but when I got there was anything ready? NOPE. They didn't believe that I had received calls and messages, the girl at the counter kept trying to check call history and when I showed her my phone, she's snatched my phone to read the messages. She said the prescriptions had be put back because i hadn't collected them within ten days. Her name was Danjina or Jandina or something like that. Train her Walgreens!!! My first message was on the 15th. Most of the staff is rude there. They once told me they were out of my birth control only for another pharmacist to step in and say it's ok, we have some for you. WTF!! I picked up five prescriptions from them on a monthly basis and I'd have to go in five different times all within the same week, why couldn't they be consolidated? One of the calls I received, a girl asked me if i was interested in picking up my prescription, what do you think???? I went in, nothing was ready. They wouldn't give me my birth control until it was a whole month, but the supply was a 28-day supply. I could go on and on and on. Just don't go there.

Our Shopping Committee went to our local HEB (Creekside) to pick up more pumpkins for our pumpkin patch this morning and everyone was beyond wonderful - from the babies and little kids that we stopped to say hello to (and their parents), to workers and shoppers singing along with us as we sang and shopped, to our residents three new friends, employees Kaitlyn, Liz, and our cashier (who's name escapes me). Our Montessori Inspired Lifestyle truly brings out the best in our residents and shows off what they are still capable of doing, which I believe is infectious. Why do a boring fitness class, or hit balloons with a pool noodle, when you could be out in the world, doing normal tasks - like picking up heavy pumpkins to use for our upcoming fall parties/events? Especially when you have a community that supports and encourages you to do so, like everyone at HEB!
