During my visit I found exactly what I needed - home essentials like paper towels and laundry detergent . I never had any issues when I come here. Floors are clean. The staff is nice I don't have any complaints - what's funny is most people forget this location even exists. I come to this location often because it's roughly 10mins from my house. read more

This is one of the worst Walmart stores I've visited. My friend, a veteran of 32 years who served alongside me, was visiting from Germany. He attempted to purchase Shiner Bock using his valid passport as ID, but the store refused to accept it. In a separate transaction, I tried to buy Shiner Bock myself, presenting my Texas driver's license at 55 years old, and was also denied. Frustrated, we drove to H-E-B, a true Texas store, where my friend purchased the Shiner Bock without any issues. After waiting 5 hours, the blue-haired manager had the nerve to tell me my car was removed from the stall because someone with an appointment finally decided to show up. Unbelievable. This place has terrible customer service. They messed up a car and didn't own up to it. I watched them push the car out of their shop and just leave it in the parking lot, leaving a mom with three kids stranded with a broken car and no help. They basically told her it was her issue now. I have mostly had amazing customer service with the individuals at the store. Area of opportunity - inexperienced young cashier hands me a hundred dollar bill for cash back and immediately closes the drawer before considering or asking I'd like $20s or had a preference. The cashiers can't reopen the drawer once closed. The next cashier had a cash buyer coming. Before she started ringing up the order. I asked if she would switch the hundred. She was right next to the other cashier. She immediately insisted she couldn't. I ask for the manager and she told me that she was busy but would be there. Jason the team lead was incredibly rude. Told me that she couldn't break it even if the drawer opened. I explained that I didn't get asked a preference and that McDonald's or most quick places will not want to take a bill for a $1-2 cash bill. I asked if there is anything he could do. He told me to go buy something small to break the bill as I was holding the 4 bags of groceries in my hand that I had just bought. I said it really was a matter of customer service since his cashier doesn't know to ask about the cash back preference. More training in necessary. And Jason needs a reassignment. I give grace to the newer cashier and the young girl who was literally texting in her phone in between customers. Typical teen. For Jason, there is NO EXCUSE! He was rude, sarcastic and unacceptable example of management material. He could have easily apologized reiterated that it wasn't the policy to open the drawer once closed- which I knew but offered to go take of it since it was truly the mistake of an inexperienced cashier. But telling me to go buy something small to break the bill after I just went shopping and still holding the bags was like he was talking to a kid. What a pity and bless his heart. He apparently is operating in shoes he's not ready for. I heard Michelle was his manager and she wasn't going to be back until Monday. Please bring out some of your other shining stars to become team leads or managers who have amazing people skills. read more

Bad Lube/Tire Job-"One Bad Apple Trying to Spoil the Whole Bunch" Stop wasting your time going to the worst Walmart Tire Shop in this area. On the 6/24/2024, was the worst day I have had at my local Walmart Tire and Lube Store. One Bad Apple, Don't Spoil The Whole Bunch! Today was my worst experience at Walmart on Woodlands Parkway since the store opened. Less than 6 days ago a new tire was purchased from this location, and no offer of a warranty was mention. The problem is shortly after 2 days having the tire installed by this Walmart Automotive Shop, it was FLAT. I was out of town on a trip and the car had to be garaged for the next three days. On the sixth day the car return to the same location with the spare tire on hand, and when they received back the Lemon Tire/Defected, they did not want to honor a new tire, they sold for over $100 dollars. When confronted, the Manager, Ms. Lachastia, was condescending, when I was instructed by their Corporate Office out of Bentonville, AR., to have her to look into the issue, she stated, "that the only help she would give was a $20.00 Gift Card, and suggest that I use it, in sublingual language to get the tire warranty, next time. She had a similar tire issue, and she had to buy one for $300.00." That was rude and belittling to me. I felt as though she was trying to make me feel like as a customer, I was not important to her or her Manager in Automotive. I have purchased many tires from Walmart and many from this location over the years, so I do not appreciate the slang talk she gave me, as a customer. This location was once a hot spot for people in this area, but I see it now out of a different len. It appears there could also be some Illiberality going on at this location. Thanks to another location of Walmart, out of my area, I did get the job done, and with courtesy, professionalism, and a smile. I am not saying all Walmart Stores, have shady, rude, employees, working for them. However, the location at 10001 Woodlands Parkway, should be trained that we the customers, make their business a success, not them taking sides with each other at this location. My bad day, at this location, went smoother at the next location. Oh, by the way, contacting Corporate is a toss up, because while one employee Jose said he would help with the issue, Jason spoke directly with Ms. Lachastia, and decided she had the best solution to resolve the issue, which was take the Lemon Tire, a $20 GC, and buy a New one from them for over another $100. Seems like a rip off to me. Buyer, Beware, if you purchase any tires, at this location, you may get scam. Would not recommend this location to anyone. As far as Walmart's go, this is a pretty good one, from a store condition and cleanliness level. It is also in a fairly affluent neighborhood, so you don't have some of the stereotypical clientele one envisions at Walmart. But where this store is above average, it is still a Walmart in the way it operates.....ALWAYS DOING INVENTORY AND LEAVING SHELF SPACE EMPTY SO THEY DON"T HAVE TO COUNT IT. I get so tired of going into the store for a simple item and walking over the the well known location only to find a white tag hanging on the shelf or rack indicating they left the spot empty because they are doing inventory......I understand Walmart makes its money based on its inventory control but it gets a little ridiculous for this to happen 25% of the time I visit.......I have sworn I will NEVER return many times but I get too lazy or cost conscience that I eventually return....shame on me! The staff is typical....fairly friendly but without the right balance of people working on the floor vs working at a register......ALWAYS A LINE, especially on the non-food side. You will see 5 people standing around on the floor for every one working at the checkout. I typically don't need help picking out toothpaste but I do need someone to check me out.......they need to figure it out. They only open the 20 item or less line on crowded weekends and holidays. There is nothing fast about 20 people in a 20 item or less line......of course, your other option is to walk to the other end of the store (and then back again when done) and wait behind someone who has not shopped in 3 months and has enough in their cart to last the next Y2K scare. If you like Walmart and accept their operating practices, this Walmart is A-OK. If yI was just rating the condition of the store and the cleanliness....it would be higher....but I just can't rate any Walmart higher than 3 stars.....on principle alone. read more

For a Walmart - this one is pretty nice and not as scary (or entertaining) as most. This Valmart is more in a residential and small business area.. Heck, you even have a Starbucks by it. Every time I've gone in here, they have what I need, I grab, pay and split. Employees are often unique - but who isn't, right? And if you shop either early morning or later at night (like we just did) - store clean, stocked and fewer fellow shoppers around - which Is preferred. read more

A very nice Walmart, but not all items are set up like most. Makes shopping for an older, orientation challenged individual a little more difficult. More Hispanic items at this location due to the area. There is an influx of affluent Mexican residents who have moved particularly to this area of The Woodlands to escape the drug cartel in their native country and I can't say I blame them. It is never really crowded on a Sunday which makes shopping much more pleasant. Never buy meat there, at any Walmart. It has never tasted good. The produce is OK, and today I stood 5 minutes with Asian woman knowing I was there, but not asking if I needed help. The shopping is as satisfactory as it can get. Has a variety of items between foods, games, clothes, and sports stuff. All in all they'll likely have what you need. However, I normally shop during the evenings when its hardly busy. If I am on a long trip and need more stuff than usual I grab a basket. I like to speed walk between aisles to see if they have the items I am shopping for and place my basket in a spot where it wouldn't inhibit traffic (not that there's much anyway with the times I shop at) , and on three separate occasions I have walked out and my basket has been missing. The workers move it to customer service and it's kind of frustrating when there is no traffic and I wanna get things done without having a damn basket slowing me down. I pay higher prices here than other stores especially dairy and egg products. I check myself out and start to pay. The employee comes and stands up on my heels saying I'm checking myself out too fast and wants my drivers license. I told her no. I'm paying by credit card and she can look at that. She enters my age into her system. Walmart lost a decade long customer today. I have always been respectful to their team members and paid for every item I have walked out with. The grocery pick up with this location is a complete circus. You spend time on the app picking out all the items that you want. You arrive at the store and check in on the app and the parking space in the color of your vehicle as requested on the app. No one ever shows up to bring you your groceries. You finally flag and employee down who writes your name down and tells you that he will look into it and come out with your groceries. An hour later no employee and no groceries. I went in the store and ask for a manager. And then you stand at the front of the store looking like an idiot because the manager never shows up. To make things even worse while you're standing here to complain about your groceries never coming out you get an email from the Walmart app saying thank you for picking your groceries up. So your credit card was charged $300 for groceries that she never got and Walmart system shows that she picked your groceries up. Complete waste of time. read more

Recently I have noticed some new male checkers who are NOT friendly.. No " Thank-yous" or anything being said just a cold stare or total avoidance of any eye contact... huh? I must say. More often than not, we pop in to Walmart for everything but produce, meat and deli. Today, I discovered why. While the Meat and Produce sections were so-so, the deli area was filthy. I mean food and dust under the scales on top of the serving counter. Just plain gross. When I asked the only one of 5 people working back there if serving people food in a clean environment was important, she just laughed and shrugged her shoulders. I passed on buying the deli meat and upon checking out complained. Had a brief interaction with the deli manager who stated: "Well, only one person closed last night and must have missed it." MISSED IT!!?? There were chunks of food and it was 11:40 in the morning. Helen Keller could have seen that filth and had the work ethic to clean the area up. Grocery pick up scam! I used the shop and pick up option a few times with no problems. Last time I got an email ten minutes before it was time to pick my order up. The email said they were still getting my items together and that they would message me when they had it ready. I sat around my job for three hours before giving up and stopping at HEB on the way home. I get a message the following day telling me my order is ready. Two days after that I get a phone call from the store asking me to pick up my order. I tell them that HEB got that and all future orders. They still hit my credit card for the full amount of the order. So now I get to spend all day on the phone trying to get this mess cleared up. On the bright side, the employee working that area was saved the time it would have taken to simply call me the day of my order and tell me it wasn't going to get done. I have decided that I am going top copy and paste this review all over the web as I sit on hold waiting for a Wal Mart manager to ask someone how to credit my money back. Update: I speak to the 1-800 customer service and the employee that called me lied in notes she added into the Wal Mart system. Wal Mart online read me the notes. After I complained to the employee about no one calling me and telling her I already went to HEB, she falsely noted in their system that I picked up my groceries. What a mess. My order number was: 7328200549778 for anyone at Wal Mart caring to look into this. 2nd Update: 1-800 help line advised me that I would need to go to the store in person to request a refund. They can take my order and credit card number over the phone, but when their lazy employee says I picked up an order I never got, I get to spend more time going into the store to fix it. No telling how many people this employee is doing this to because shes upset that she has to restock the items. An employee willing to enter false notes and charge a customer is likely capable of having a friend come pick the groceries up. read more

Yeah couldn't get any better than this, plus it looked pretty unique and different outside (it did not look like the typical walmart!) I give this a 5 star because it is Wal-Mart, so you cannot set the bar too high. It is by far the best Wal-Mart I have ever been to, you don't really get the people of Wal-Mart effect. I have had an issue before with an online order but after 3 days of coming back to the store because they lost or gave away my order they finally gave me a refund. Also every black Friday I can get a front parking spot and that is starting after 6 am on black friday. read more

But I can say that the "clown" at the pharmacy checkout is annoying and has no business "attempting" to entertain customers rather than taking the payment and moving on to the next customer. It's really more efficient to do the task at hand , rather than be obnoxious at the register and bounce from customers in the assigned line to passers by that are being as rude if not more than he is by blowing off the person that waited 20 minutes patiently. Best Walmart I've been to. Might be because of the location in the Woodlands, but definitely because of the people who work there. Helpful, funny, and make you feel comfortable. Usually I go to Walmart and receive great service! But I hate this one. I called to see if my package came in and they said it was sent back to the warehouse because I took too long to pick it up. After calling customer service and getting a hold of a manager, they "magically" found my package. Okayyyy... Got there and a dozen employees looked at me and walked by. Some even stood infront of me to chat with each other. I rang the bell about four times within 45min. Finally, one of the ladies that were chatting with a coworker infront of me helped me! Omg... So lazy... THEN, the other day I went to buy a game that came out about two days before I went to the Walmart to purchase it. Couldn't find it on shelves. Went to cashier to inquire and waiting for the customer ahead of me to finish. The cashier saw me waiting, but decided to help a lady that was looking around the DVDs instead who just asked him for help... (maybe she had asked for help earlier before I got in line) but still... I was annoyed at this and asked if anyone was around to help me out (first time in my life that I started to feel that maybe it was a racist thing? ... Nah... But you never know!) he just answered "yea just wait a minute"... Okayyyyy.... I waited and when it was my turn finally I explained how I couldn't find the game and he had that reaction like "he was annoyed and felt too lazy to move but he didn't want to get in trouble with the manager since he blew me off already" so he tried to say that if it's not on the shelves then they're out. I was like "I thought that might be it, but that was impossible since the game just can out a day or two ago and it's not THAT popular". He was hesitant but still retrieved a box full of games from the back and I finally found my game. He told me to go to customer service since I had to make an exchange as well. Had to wait over 5 minutes for an employee to come to unlock a peg hook to get a calculator in the back to school aisle, while 5 uniformed Walmart employees are all within 2 aisles of me doing other tasks. Typical and usual service lapses at Walmart. Lots of clearance displays in the clothing sections at this store - some real bargains. Store is well lit and relatively easy to shop. Skylights make it bright inside the store. Good news is that Walmart price matches, bad news is we had to stand at checkout over 10 minutes while store leader verified. Once again we experienced inconvenient and frustrating service lapses at Walmart. Bottom line is Walmart will never win with their current service levels. read more

As far as Walmart goes, this one is a keeper. I love that the parking lot is maintained better than most Walmart locations--haven't seen any dirty diapers lying around yet. I like the produce selection and quality. I get my staple food supplies here with the exception of meats. The parking lot has SUV/pick-up truck friendly parking spaces and a lot of shade. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The electronics department has a wide variety of movies and blu-ray at low prices. read more
