Their cancellation policy is not ideal, as it is difficult to arrange for makeup classes.

If you are not a member at ProClub, the sessions available to you need to be Monday-Friday: 9:00AM to 5:00PM. When I signed up for aquatics lesson, I was told specifically, that in event, I am not able to attend the session, I will be able to reschedule, as long as I provide them a 24hour notice. As such, I have a conflicting event for this weeks lessons, and I contacted the club 5 Days in advance, and was told that they simply do not do make-up lessons, and If I miss the class I will not be allowed in one of the alternative sessions. Mind-well, ProClub has 6 classes at similar level during the week, which I can attend, and I was specifically told by ProClub staff, I will be able to cancel and reschedule class if needed. The overly restrictive time for Non-members compounded by their lack of understanding that sometimes due to unavoidable reasons people may need to reschedule, make ProClub aquatics not a good choice.

There used to be 4 full basketball courts, one of which was used for badminton during specific days/times. Then, they converted another full basketball court to pickleball courts. That was acceptable, since there were still 2-3 full basketball courts (each full court actually had 3 hoops, 1 in the middle), depending on the day/time. The worst thing they did when they refinished the floors in April was convert another half of a basketball court to a single pickleball court, effectively removing 2 of 3 usable hoops. Now, on badminton days, everyone who wants to play basketball has to share 1.5 courts. The usual scenario is 10 people playing a full court game, leaving everyone else with just 1 hoop. It gets incredibly crowded and is starting to feel like trying to play basketball at LA Fitness but for a much higher monthly membership cost. And to top it off, I have seen only ONE pickleball court being used (a full basketball court's worth of space being wasted) on the last 2 nights I went to the gym. It's very frustrating because I used to look forward to coming here to shoot around after weightlifting. I wish they had surveyed the members before making such big changes. Added a star because I like that they upgraded the weight room downstairs and added more squat racks. I haven't used the locker room or other amenities much, but I did notice that the locker room cleanliness reduced over the years.

It isn't like typical gyms, it feels more like a gym-resort-wellness center. It has high ceiling and ventilation is great. It can get smelly if it's super busy but that's why I go in the morning. I also like how everyone just focuses on themselves and no one is judging or being "weird." It's like everyone working out on their own pace and no judgement. I also had no experiences of going to the gym. It feels daunting initially because there's so many machines and it's overwhelming, which is why I particularly wanted to get a personal trainer and I love mine. Ainura is wonderful, she remembers the body goals im after and she helps me with a workout plan that will help me. You can see photos of my 3 month progress as proof. I've also had to visit out of state gyms due to work and I can safely say... pro club still the best. Love the staffs, environment, aura, and my trainer. LASTLY, I know it's on the higher end compared to other gyms but the amenities make it up. For example, free classes of Pilates, yoga, Zumba, etc. Going to miss Pro club for the next 2 weeks since I'm traveling :(

The instructors came across as unprofessional, a lot of inconsistency, not much structure, and not enough attention on the kids. It often felt like they weren't prepared for the lessons or didn't really know how to manage the class. Because of that, the actual learning just wasn't there. Kids weren't getting clear instruction, corrections, or real progress. It felt more like loosely supervised pool time than an actual swim lesson, which is not great considering the hefty price in exchange for "golden" quality and the expectations they set. I would often see teachers chat with other staff during lessons which really disappointed me as a parent because not only are you not giving the quality of education promised, but you're jeopardizing the safety of my child by looking away. I don't understand why I need to pay a hefty price to feel anxious during their education. Along with the teachers, they swap out and change too often to be consistent. Overall, it didn't feel like a place where children could genuinely develop their skills or learn safely. I wouldn't recommend it based on what I saw. There are definitely better places out there, or even a family trip to a pool would benefit more than a yearlong subscription in my opinion.

This swim school completely fits the bill. My first phone call with Tracey, the owner, gave me a great first impression of the school. She explained the programs they offered, answered all my questions, and helped me choose which classes were a good fit. Since I have two kids, she shuffled some things around in the schedule so that both kids can go on the same night with one lesson after the other. This is very convenient :) Also convenient is that all administrative stuff is available on their website, so I didn't have to fuss with printing out paperwork. On the first day of class, Tracey warmly greeted us at the door, and got us set up with everything we needed (including complimentary swim caps). For my 4-year-old's beginner class (Minnows), there were 4 students and 2 very capable, hands-on instructors. They were both excellent with kids and you can see that the kids are having a lot of fun. To get kids used to the water, they play a game where each kid gets a turn to do an activity for a short burst of time. They work in round robin fashion, and go very quickly, so as to keep it fun and make it less frightening. This method worked really great on my son because within the first couple of lessons, he overcame his fear of swimming. At the end of the class, they bring out toys and inflatables and this is my son's favorite part of the class. My daughter is in a more advanced class where they work on their strokes and swim laps. Again, great instruction, and she loves the class. By the way, the facilities are really nice. They are in the recreation building of a new apartment complex (Avana 522). The pool is a great size, nice and clean. Outside of the pool area there is a lobby with free wifi, sitting area with tv, and vending machines. It's been 3 weeks now. My kids LOVE their swim lessons and it's amazing to see all the progress they've made in such a short amount of time. All in all, we couldn't ask for any better. If I were to grade this school, I would give them a solid A+.
