Product and service is terrible. I will never use them again. The sales manager is a low level con artist.

That said, I finally decided to repair it, and called Instafix. Within 3 hours I was able to drop it off and pick it up, and it works like a dream. YZ understood the importance of prioritizing data recovery over a screen turning on, and spoke with both confidence and professionalism as I dropped it off. When I got a call back not even 2 hours later, I was shocked. Price wise, when quoted I thought the price felt a tad steep. In hindsight, given the professionalism, care, and speed at which YZ got the console fixed, it now feels like a bargain. Thank you so much, I'll be back if I ever need anything else!!!

I've had my PlayStation 5 since the console first launched, and up until recently it had been…read morerunning great. Over the past year, however, I started experiencing an issue where the system would randomly shut off while I was playing. The first time it happened, I assumed it was just dust buildup. I watched a few videos, removed the side panels, cleaned the fans, used compressed air, and thankfully that solved the problem for quite a while. Recently the issue returned, and this time cleaning it myself didn't help. After doing more research, I learned about a common PS5 issue involving the liquid metal inside the system Because my console had been stored vertically since day one using Sony's official vertical stand, years of use had apparently caused the liquid metal to shift enough to create overheating problems. I started calling around for repair options and was being quoted turnaround times of 7-10 days. Then I remembered seeing videos from InstaFix on TikTok where they specifically discussed this exact PS5 issue and showed how they repair it. I called their Lake Forest location and spoke with YZ. Right away he was friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to answer my questions. Since the Fourth of July holiday was coming up, I asked about turnaround time and was honestly shocked when he told me most PS5 repairs like mine could be completed in about an hour to an hour and a half. I drove over from Orange County, dropped off my console, and YZ walked me through what they would be looking for and what the repair process involved. True to his word, about an hour later I received a text that my PlayStation was finished and ready for pickup. When I arrived, YZ explained exactly what they found, what they repaired, and what I could do moving forward to help maximize the life of the console. What I appreciated most was that he wasn't trying to upsell me on additional services. In fact, he told me my PS5 was actually in pretty good shape overall and that the repair they performed should resolve the issue. The repair also came with a one-year warranty, which gave me additional peace of mind. The total cost was $150, and personally I felt that was completely fair. Some people may look at that number and hesitate, but when you consider that a new PS5 costs well over $500, the expertise required to perform the repair correctly, and the fact that I got my console back fully repaired in about an hour, the value was obvious to me. In a world where it's becoming harder and harder to find businesses that combine expertise, honesty, fair pricing, and excellent customer service, InstaFix absolutely delivered. YZ treated me with respect, communicated clearly throughout the process, and got me back to gaming the same day. If you're dealing with PS5 overheating issues, random shutdowns, liquid metal concerns, or any other console repair, I would not hesitate to recommend InstaFix. This was one of the easiest and most professional repair experiences I've had in a long time.

It was not busy and there were about 3-4 younger guys (different races) standing around talking. It was about 3-4 minutes until a taller man (Caucasian) who greeted me and asked if I had some questions about a WiFi modem. I told him I did and (on his headset) asked if someone could help me out (since he was in the middle of helping a customer). No one came and the 3-4 younger guys were still gathered around talking. When I was within 6 feet of them, they all saw me, but instead of asking me if I needed any help, they asked the Caucasian customer who was leaving if he needed any help. I had the intention of buying a WiFi modem, but they refused service to me and I felt so belittled that I was about to leave. Luckily, the taller man - who just got done assisting a customer - came back and approached me and answered all of my questions. Because of his help, I ended up purchasing the WiFi modem. BTW, there was another Asian customer who did not receive any help, but luckily the taller man acknowledged the customer and helped him outs. Unfortunately I did not catch the taller man's name. I had to write this review because I believe this was a case of blatant discrimination based on my race and the way I looked, especially when they clearly saw me (because I made eye contact with them) and they refused to help me, but acknowledged the Caucasian customer who was leaving. I should have asked for the taller man's name because he was so helpful (5 stars for him) but because the blatant discrimination, I'm giving 1 star.

Steer clear of this company and here's why:…read more 1. The cooling system for the computer I ordered did not fit the case properly and instead of providing a cooler that fit, they jammed it in with screws at 45 degree angles. The radiator fans do not even sit flush with the case. 2. The computer was not wired properly...the power button was not even connected. 3. The processor was dead on arrival, despite the fact that the computer was supposedly tested for three days before being shipped. This ended up costing me about $100 at my local computer store to diagnose. 4. Portatech did provide me with a replacement processor, however they billed my credit card company $364.99 (The price of the processor) without notifying me that I was being charged and certainly without my consent. I have attempted to contact them about the charge via phone and email for two days and have received no response. Their support phone line takes me to a voicemail inbox that is full and tells me to call back later and I have had no response to my emails. Clearly I am going to be forced to contest the charge with my credit card company. This is probably the worst shopping experience I have ever had.

It games on extreme graphics and never lags. The stuff I picked out was all top of the line except for the ssd and motherboard and it seems to function perfectly. I had to fuck with the biostar processor fan settings and calibrate them properly and format my own hard drive and put in my own ram but I like building shit and this was a nice start so I didn't have to do everything from scratch. The shipping was quite slow but I didn't mind waiting. Overall I was very satisfied with what they sent. I told them I was using it for gaming so they sent me a gaming motherboard to fit my graphics card at no extra cost instead of the baseline one. They knew their shit basically. With the prices they have it is hit or miss. The parts they put in my shit all seemed new but possibly refurbished, that's why some people have problems and others don't
