The CYC team provided/delivered comprehensive communication via meetings, emails/texts and prompt return phone calls for review, regarded feedback, and CYC recommendations which makes all the difference. As a result, design refinement, timely execution of simultaneous projects, budget concerns, skilled and knowledgeable performance, personal plant selection honored and secured, and emotional connection to the space with respect to the environment made for an enjoyable work experience. Mark also assisted us during the HOA approval process by knocking it out in only two submissions. Let me begin by admitting that I might be the most discerning person when it comes to work around my home. I worked in landscape and construction for 5 summers while I was going through school and came to expect the best in terms of quality of construction. In today's world where lack of pride in workmanship is commonplace it's nice to know companies like CYC are still out there. From the inception of my project there was attention to detail. Mike was always punctual for our meetings and spent all the time needed to ensure that the foundation of the project was in place before proceeding. He is available and readily returns calls. I truly believe that his client's happiness is paramount as he repeatedly made sure that things were done to my satisfaction. The design is sent to you electronically for approval and changes are made without hesitation should you so choose. They are busy to be sure and often there is a little wait to get your project going but take it from a guy who was in the business, if you don't have to wait for the company, there's a reason. Our project manager was Sean. He was on the project daily and answered all of our questions and promptly dealt with concerns. His crew was second to none. They were courteous, professional and clearly took pride in the project they were helping to create. Not only is it aesthetically appealing but all of the foundational aspects (drainage etc.....) were done properly. My wife and I couldn't be happier with the outcome. The landscape is simply stunning and we commonly receive compliments on it. CYC turned our dirt lot into an oasis where we now spend the majority of our time. We moved into new home 9 months ago that had nothing in the front or back. We had a grading issue in the back where the yard sloped away from the house but when it rained the water would creep up towards the home. We wanted to build up the yard past the patio so the water didn't come near the home. We had 3 companies come to quote. One company that we had used before and was A rated with BBB wouldn't even quote it since they didn't want to deal with bringing in a lot of dirt and compacting it to build up our yard before they could do the typical artificial grass, rocks, shrubs and plants. The 3rd company we had quote scribbled a few lines on a paper with no detail whatsoever and definitely not addressing what we needed done. Mike from CYC sat down with us and listened carefully and drew up a plan with details and a drawing. They started when they said they would start and finished in a timely manner. Along with building up the backyard with new soil and compacting it, we had a retaining wall installed around the perimeter of the back. They waterproof painted the inside of the retaining wall. We had an irrigation timer installed and irrigation lines run to the front yard and backyard. They also installed a large artificial grass area (made in the U.S.), a paver border, numerous tons of rocks, dozens of shrubs and two trees. They were professional and did a great job. As part of the plan, they had one of their guys come back in a week to adjust the timer on the irrigation but I find you have to know your own soil and watch how the trees and shrubs do and adjust accordingly. We have extremely clay soil so it retains the water and cannot withstand the "standard" watering schedule. read more

Not impressed. Contacted the business though Angie's List for an estimate. I did get an email very quickly stating someone would contact me withing 24 hours. I did get a call from Mark later on that day to discuss what I needed done. Mark notified me that he was leaving town on that Friday. It was currently Monday when I spoke with him. He said he wouldn't be able to give me a quote until he got back into town a week and a half or so after that. I found that odd being that I would think there would have to be someone else that can provide the quote after they had the measurements. However, I continued to speak to Mark and was even able to provide sq. footage based on another estimate I had. Mark asked for pictures which I said I could take right now & email them over to him. He told me that he was leaving the office and wouldn't be able to get me the information until the next day. I had no issue with that. The pictures were taken and emailed within 5 minutes. It has now been a week later and no reply to my email. My feeling is if you don't want my business just tell me. Oh well. I'm happy to give my business to another company. read more

As I former employee, the negative reviews are warranted. New management doesn't operate professionally. Unfortunately this company operates with fake integrity, you will understand after you've become aware of issues and the lack of compassion to address them. Cyc will charge you beyond top dollar, cause issues, use illegal immigrants and with no regards to customer satisfaction. If you don't believe me then ask previous customers. I guarantee that almost all customers had issues that they disapproved the corrective action taken if addressed at all. Doing service calls I've seen this first hand. Reid is in charge of crews (new to this position with no respect for employees or customers), Mandy is in office (owners relative who can be beyond rude to customers and employees for problems owner creates) and Chris is the owner (don't fall for his PHONY compassion about his company). I would take any positive review with a grain of salt- either under previous superintendent or were compensated for the issues (but was it really worth the time and frustration). We moved into a house with a spacious backyard but it was very "choppy" and had many features that weren't conducive for everyday life. For example it had a nice built in space Ramada but only people less than 5 foot tall could walk underneath it. Anyway, we had a vision of what an ideal backyard would look like for us but we didn't know how to put our ideas into drawings. When we met with Mike, we had several meetings by the way, he was able to see our ideas and help us design exactly what we wanted. Our project has top quality materials and the labor staff was polite, respectful and skilled. We wanted to go with cyc bc we plan to stay in this house for many years and we entertain often so we needed to go with quality. My wife and I wanted to add landscaping and pavers to our backyard. We wanted to get a resort like feeling there. I contacted four landscaping companies to bid for the job. I was amazed how much more experienced, knowledgeable, and diligent CYC Landscaping was compared to the other companies. They literally blew the competition out of the water. I was provided rendered blueprints of the proposal. An itemized quote and insurance on all the work. My wife and I were just speechless of the work Chris and his team at CYC Landscaping has done. In 2020 we did an extensive backyard remodel project. CYC did a terrific job with the design and installation back then. Fast forward to November 2025... 2 monsoon storms back-to-back with inches of rain caused sinking in the turf - 1 in the putting green, 1 in the lawn. CYC was very responsive with a service tech coming out and doing the repair work promptly. I think it is easy for a company to be helpful and kind when waiting for the big check during a big project, but sometimes that customer service disappears down the road for the little maintenance jobs. Not the case with CYC - what a great experience working with this company has been. read more

To be honest, I've never used them so I cannot comment on their work, but I continue to have problems with these people. When they visit my neighbors yard, they use our property as a staging area for construction. Today, I woke up to find a pile of dirt (we have photos if there are any lawyers out there who like to sue landscapers) in our yard, along with tools, bags of soil, water bottles, hoses and tree limbs all in our yard - not in our neighbors yard where the work is underway. I went over to explain to these people that trespassing was illegal, but low and behold - you will never guess what - NOT ONE PERSON SPOKE ENGLISH! How convenient. read more

I called CYC to get a quote for re-landscaping my yard. Mike Larchick came out and after listening to what we wanted and came up with a design. After some changes we agreed to have them do the job. The team that came out were professional and did a good job. Though we did have some issues both Mike and office manager Mandie were quick to have the issues resolved. CYC did a complete install for me almost 7 years ago. The design incorporated everything I asked for plus a whole lot more. I did not get nickeled and dimed to death with change orders. The bid they gave me was exactly what I paid. I am working with them again on some additional work and am very excited about the design as the price meets my budget and the new features in our yard will allow us to spend a lot more family time outside. read more

I hired CYC to lay travertine over my old pool decking and patio. It was a very large area and they started on the scheduled day and completed in the scheduled number of days. They had 1-3 workers on the job every day (2 week project) and we are extremely happy with their craftsmanship. The project looks better than I had imagined.
