This is a well-established motorcycle dealership that I have been a part of since I bought my first Harley in Hawaii. It is famous in Hawaii as a very dependable motorcycle shop, handling not only Harleys but also Japanese, British, Italian and Austrian bikes. With the latest bikes neatly displayed on the floor and dependable sales staff, it's no wonder they have so many fans. Eh, I really try not to write negative reviews but these guys just disappoint every time. Nothing horrible, just not great. I took my Vespa in for a check up and thought they would be thorough. Unfortunately, one of the lights was burnt out and it went unnoticed (and therefore didn't get replaced). I guess this is small kine stuff, but it is annoying since they are outside the city and it is a bit of a haul to get there. They recommended I get a new battery and said it will fail soon -- they seemed to be under the impression that it was the original battery, but no, it was a battery that they replaced about 18 months ago. At the very least, I would have expected them to know that. The final distasteful part of the experience was when I paid. They actually have the nerve to charge a percentage on top of the cost for using a credit card. Gross. This is such a turn off and while they are legally allowed to do it, I just think it is so petty. Here are some things I did like: they opened a few minutes before they had to. That is really nice and well-appreciated. The staff is nice, the place is clean. I will do everything I can to find another place for all my Vespa needs. read more

Ordered a part and wasn't notified until 2 weeks later that it was back ordered for another 2 months. Only reason I was notified was because I called asking for status, they informed me they tried to call a few days prior but left no voicemail or anything and the way they told me it was if I was the issue. Customer service is horrible unless you buy a bike. Unfortunate that they are the only authorized dealership for most brands beacauese you are forced to deal with them. read more

Went for a 500 mile check in service. Bike is literally brand new 2024. Parts came out about $75, but bill came out to $500! For the labor + shop supplies. If we knew the bill was going to come out that much for a 500 mile service, we definitely wouldn't have gone through cycle city. I had a problem with my ducati 999.. I took my bike to a nearby shop closest to my work place for convenience.. the bike was running good but had an issue of dieing out at 112 to 115 degrees.. the current shop said that it just need a new ground wire.. i paid 250$ for the diagnoses.. no currently the bike dont start at all.. i call cycle city and spoke to the Jr at the parts department.. he was very helpful and knowledgeable in regards of my issues i had on my bike.. how he conducted himself is a reflection of his company.. very professional, knowledgeable and friendly.. i will always do business and recommend friends and family to cycle city.. thanks again for your time brother and god bless for your time and patience.. AFTER EVERYTHING... I JUST NEEDED YOU GUYS TO ORDER THE RED Master KEY!!!! Only dealer on island!!! They won't do anything for you or your bike past ten years old...COMPANY POLICY. When I called Ducati North America's corporate, I was told that they only deal with authorized dealers and to go to my dealer CYCLE CITY. further explaining why they turned me away and requesting possibly another option I own a 2002 Ducati monster 620, which happens to be an awesome machine. Never had any problems and been very reliable and I enjoy the smiles as I go. I recently disconnected the battery to do some maintenance and the original "black" key is now not....my immobilizer is kicking in from not recognizing the key (programming/ computer issue and won't allow the bike to start (security for the ignition). I had my 21 Ducati Panigale V2 in for some idle/starting issues and they painstakingly went over the bike as if it were their own and resolved the issue (as best as possible given it's a temperamental Italian street rocket!) In particular, Alvin New is doing an outstanding job and should be promoted as soon as possible! He kept me apprised of the progress via email and phone; never growing impatient with all my questions and rush to get back on the Duc! Keep up the great work. When you call service durring business hours the phone rings until it goes to voicemail. I left nine messages, none of which were returned. The phone works in other departments, I checked, maybe you can borrow theirs? I had the pleasure of having Jason Duncan at cycle city parts and service department service my Motorcycle. I needed to have it towed to the shop for a new battery and a few other services after my bike died that same day. I called cycle city and Jason was there to answer the call and he ended up helping me get all the parts ordered and services done within the next week. He also had a great attitude and was very knowledgeable in working with me and answering all my questions. He even gave me a military discount and helped get my bike back on the road and the state inspection done for a reasonable price. Be told about all the work that may or may not need to be done. Pick it up. Stare at the bill and wonder how two minor things cost almost $400. Take it somewhere else. Get told the truth. Pay for the work that NEEDS to be done. Get good value for the money. The shop is nice and the people are decent, but life's too short to put up with that kind of service. read more

Only one star because I can't give ZERO stars. The Outdoor Recreation Dept for US ARMY GARRISON brought our jet ski in to be serviced. Purchased at South Seas Cycle (absorbed by Cycle City). It had NEVER been in the ocean. The service Dept insisted (over 6 months!) that the ski needed new fuel injectors, spark plugs needed to be replaced and then the piston rings needed to be replaced. After all the replacement parts, service Dept could not figure out why the ski was still smoking. They charged us $1700 and said sorry it took us 6 months! BLUF - We took it to Oahu Performance Marine (OPM) and the mechanic found the WRONG size fuel injectors (wrong size engine) and installed the correct ones. Ski was picked up in 10 days and $500 less dollars! The mechanic for OPM even drove down to Cycle City and told the service Dept manager be ready to refund the Army what you charged- since your work was ridiculously wrong! After 3 weeks of calling all the way up to the General manager level, we were finally told they would refund our service payment. We appreciate the refund but the effort it took, both during the 6 months weekly asking for updates and then the last 3 weeks calling and no reply...super, SUPER poor customer service by the service Dept. I purchased a bike from CYCLE CITY tens years ago from Cycle City, always purchased parts and maintenance items from CYCLE CITY I took my bike in to replace the high beam head light, costs over $300, no problem if that,s the going rate. When I got my bike back I noticed they scratched the paint and did not tell me about it, I did complain and they did a sloppy paint touch up Job Recently I noticed the headlight lens is " Melting", so I took it back in for the service dept to inspect. Alvin in service showed me that the high/low beam switch was in reverse, And that I've been riding my bike with the High beam on all the time, while in the Low beam setting. Alvin checked with the manager and told me they will not replace the head light lens, or fix the switch when it was their fault for installing it wrong! So I paid over $300 to change a light blub , which was installed wrong and they will NOT DO Anything to correct their mistake. So much for Customer Service! And fixing and installing parts and reapirs. D- read more

I heard some bad stuff about the service side of Cycle City but I didn't when I came in today for my 1k service on my Harley booking online took a while to reach back but there service a lot of motorcycles and calling them back so I'll excuse them from that. Yeah dropped off the bike in the morning my service person was Andrew met him when he helped set the pin on my bike he remembered so that's a plus picked up the bike in the afternoon that day no problems bike is like how it was when it was 10 miles on it. Got to see Daven who helped me buy the bike I call him a friend then a sales person now days. But no doubt about it would recommend them for service. read more

I took my bike in for a 5K service I wanted all my filters changed out and they said it would cost $333 when I got the bill it was $813 and they charged me to use my credit card and didn't give me a military discount and wouldn't give me a gal of gas to get to a gas station when I got home I checked my air filter and it wasn't changed I called Edmond Schuman and told him that I would come and get one and put it in myself he said that I would have to pay for it myself he was very rude and unprofessional I will never go back to that HD shop again . They called me up and told me what I already knew was wrong and charged me $500 bucks diagnostic fee. WHAT A BUNCH OF BULLSHIT! Then charged me another $800 for the repairs plus an environmental impact fee, shop supplies fee, and some other bullshit fee and the three fees equaled $61 bucks for absolutely nothing. The facility here is BEAUTIFUL, so is the customer service!! I needed to stock up on some Harley Davidson gear for a friend. I met Faaesea and he mentioned Cycle City is THE place to go. The new service department is so much easier to access. I don't have to ride my bike down the ramp anymore. Just pull right up to the front and the service writers are right there. The service writers are always busy whenever I go but that's what happens when you're the only Harley service department on the island. There are other motorcycle shops in town but nothing like this. Service writer Ed was easy to work with and he knew exactly what was needed to fix my bike. Great guy! I purchased 2 bikes from cycle city, both were sold at thousand above book value. I paid close to 19,000.00, OTD, for a 2019 road king with over 10,000 miles on it, which I later found out that it was a rental, which was never disclosed. a week after purchasing it, I had to buy a battery. I talked to them about buying it back, after multiple tries, they offered me 12,000.00. Im self employed, have been for a very long time, and I find this to be very poor business. i bought the Harley 8/26/20, which Ive yet to recieve the title, depending who Im talking to, the story changes as to where the title is. Updated: My initial co plaint came from the "hands off" kind of attitude that comes about whenever you have parts awaiting release from the Mainland that are needed to fix your bike. Waiting about a month for my bike to get fixed, I kept getting told, "there's nothing I can do. The parts gotta be released." It took talking to Evan, the Service Manager, but I am assured I can pick up my bike this week. And I will get a free 5K service for my bike to help offset the troubles we had to go through to get our bike back from a manufacturers defect issue covered under warranty. The prices for servicing are super high, as you would expect from a dealership. But, Ed is polite (even if he won't fight for you to get your parts in,) and Evan took the time to listen to me gripe and complain and was very patient with me. If you have to deal with any part of Cycle City, you're going to have your work cut out for you. You will probably have to complain, haggle, and generally have an unpleasant time there, but! Maybe you can find that right sales clerk or the right manager or the right service clerk, and they will help you out. You just gotta hope, pray, wish, or fight to find the right people working there. Maybe you won't mind, but I expect more out of a business. read more

I came here to get my failed for registration safety inspection after having a horrible experience at another shop. The guys in the service and sales department greeted me immediately. I actually felt welcomed. Through no fault of their own, the printer for the inspection malfunctioned, and although they attempted to repair it themselves( ink all over their hands ) they were unsuccessful. They were very apologetic and told me they would call me when the printer was back up, they would perform it at no cost to me and accommodate my schedule to get me in. True to their word they called me the following business day and got me in and out quickly with no charge. I love how proactive they are at taking care of people and keeping their word. read more

This place is a joke, I took my jet ski to get fixed here and they charged me $900 to replace a $160 part, it was the start, stop switch, it takes about one hour to fix and they charged me for like three hours plus evaluation fee of like $200, they said they tested it before they gave it back to me but that is a lie! They ski would start but had trouble not turning off, then it would not shut off at all, I called them and took it back, they said they would look at it for free, called me back and said that the starter stop switch worked, that I would have to spend more money to find out what the problem was, the problem was the connection that the stop connection From the starter stop switch went into it was dirty and needed to be replaced, somehow it got fried, they should have seen this when they replaced the part, anyone could have seen this, I did not look because I had just paid them $900 to fix it and then they where about to jack me for a bunch more, so typical of a dealership! I would not recommend them to anyone, they do zero to try and actually help you! Lame lame lame!!! read more

My brother went to Germany and got me to watch his house and take care of his dogs. In exchange, I get to ride his 2014 Harley Low Rider every day. I flew here from California, and today was my first day to ride in years of not riding motorcycles. For my first foray in exploring Oahu, I rode way out in the boonies on west Oahu, and just as I was really starting to enjoy it, the the rear part of the shift linkage came off the gear box shaft and the bike was stuck in 2nd gear. I rode closer to civilization and called Cycle City. As quickly as they could, they sent a polite and competent young man to tow the motorcycle back to Cycle City, and I came along as well. Roy Baguio in Service arranged everything on the phone. And when I arrived, he immediately figured out the problem. Even though my service need came up suddenly and I had no appointment, Roy cared that I was stranded out in the boonies and that my whole vacation revolved around having a motorcycle to drive. They were out of the parts I needed. He asked every mechanic. Then he started looking around and took the parts from another motorcycle and installed them for me. I was out of there with plenty of sunlight left to ride, and the bike shifting perfectly. He insisted on only charging me for the tow. The price was reasonable, and the towing, by John, was done very carefully so as not to damage my brother's precious Harley. read more

Made a reservation over a week ago at Cycle City for the12K mile service on my 2014 Triumph Speed Triple R which I had purchased from them. Took the bike in this morning at the appointed time and was told that they would have to order the parts needed to complete the service. The service writer had no idea what was involved in the 12K mile service for my motorcycle, he thought it was an oil change and a visual once over. When I told him valve adjustment, coolant flush, brake flush, chain adjustment, clutch adjustment, etc., he said he would have to check with the parts dept to see if specific gaskets and o rings were in stock...of course they were not. He gave me the option of leaving the bike for 1 1/2 weeks until the parts were in or to come back. How can you make an appointment for scheduled service and not have the needed parts on hand. How can you not have at least one set of gaskets/o rings on hand for regular warranty maintenance of a motorcycle that you sell. Because you are the only game in town, that's how. read more

I highly do not recommend this dealer to repair your Harley Davidson. Dropped off my damaged but still usable Tour Pak so they could order the correct parts. Mind you, they had all the correct parts listed on the estimate sheet from months prior. When I went to go pick up the finished Tour Pak the old one was no where to be found. The service writer told me I never dropped it off. So basically someone in the dealership stole my old Tour Pak. Going to contact HD directly and file a complaint since the dealership won't contact me about this. read more

Matthew was a great service representative to work with. Just purchased a 2006 Fatboy that had some issues when cold start. Long story short Matthew found a service bulletin, M-1185 dated 20 FEB 2006, that pertained to my bike and replaced the injectors for free. If not for Matthew taking the time to find this bulletin we would still be chasing the issue. Truly grateful to Matthew for getting my first bike and first Harley up and running and at no cost to me. read more

I would give them a 0 if I could. We drop my husband's bike for a recall on his ZX10R after a few hours of them working on it. When we finally got it back we notice instantly it didn't sound right theres clicking sound that shouldn't be there. So my husband asked his fellow bikers that are more experienced with bikes told him to take the bike back to them because that doesn't sound right. So the next day we took it back to them. Finally for a "WEEK" on them having the bike on their shop let alone never updating us on what's going on with the bike & they never answer calls. But long behold we got ahold of them finally answered our call & told us the bike is good we can pick it up but the technician found a nail on the rear of the tire after a test drive. And they wanted $230 to patch the nail. We went to talk to them in person & asked them is it possible your technician had put it there when he/she took the bike for a test drive. Because my husband could've felt the nail when driving his own bike. His response, There's a possibility but it's unlikely. And you're not experienced enough for you to felt that & you haven't road many bikes. So we left but I decided to talk to a manager so I called them multiple times with no answer so I left a message. About an hour later finally a manager name Matthew called. We told him what's going on. Same excuses has the technician. His response, Yeah there's a possibility the technician had put the nail while he/she took it for a test drive but we get people here with their bikes having nails on their tires them not knowing it's there. I'm not an investigator. Do you even know the recall on your bike?!?! Etc. He also stated, There's nothing wrong on the bike when you drop it back. We did the recall twice for nothing when your bike was good from the first time we did the recall it sounds the same as the other ZX10R on our shop. Wow this is how they handle things around their shop?!?! They're good at selling bikes but terrible on their service department!! Don't want to own up for their mistakes nor solve any problem. We should've listened to most of the bikers here telling us to never take your bike to be serviced from them. read more
