I just started getting into motorcycles - I did some prior research before coming in on what kind of gear I wanted to get. But the research I did not compensate for the knowledge of one of the employees, Nate, as he was an experienced rider and also knew so much in depth about each piece of equipment and brand. I originally thought I would wear a Shoei but I now know an Arai is what fits my head. At no point did I ever feel pressured to buy anything, I was free to browse at my leisure and I tried on all sorts of gear. Will be back when I finish my MSF course in the future, thank you Nate for giving me such a good first time experience with entering a store about motorcycling. I walked in today looking for a specific part that I've been looking for over 5 months which was the Sedici Strada II Base Plates, I've been checking the cycle gear and Sedici website since then, but no luck, but today was a blessing in disguise. I asked JAKE if he had a specific part and he double checked for me behind the counter only for him to have an extra set of base plates which he hooked me up with. Man the look on my face when he gave them to me, I had to dab this dude up while explaining to him how long I've been looking for these little shits. Walked in the store on Sunday morning with a broken part on my Sedici helmet. Both Jason & JoJo looked through the spare parts bin and found just what was needed AND installed it ! I was out of the store in about 15 minutes a very happy customer. Be careful when removing/installing the face shield because the red piece that holds it in can break at the spring making it impossible to reattach the shield. read more

We were visiting Huntington and trailered the bikes over when I had noticed a manufacture defect. I immediately went to the closest cycle gear store asking if they could do anything regardless of their return policy considering I already rode in the helmet. Jake and Harley were very understanding and listened to my story as they provided me with possible solutions. I ended up grabbing the last limited edition Strada 3 forged carbon helmet because of them too! I'm incredibly happy with my purchase and pleased with my experience. Not a hit of displeasure while helping me, and they were nonjudgmental and especially not sexist! I went in with my boyfriend to look at gear because I'm trying to ride with him more. Tyler briefly talked to us, and didn't seem interested in helping beyond telling us the gloves had just been reorganized. Another person named David came up and was extremely helpful for our entire visit. When we were checking out, we let the manager know David had helped us. As the sale was closing, Tyler came up and told the manager it was actually his commission. While I don't know if there is some beef between them that's none of my business, this felt very tactless to do in front of us and made us feel uncomfortable. Both my boyfriend and I have extensive experience in customer service/sales and had to hold back from saying something, especially given that we shared who had actually helped us out. This place is not too busy during the day on a weekday which was perfect for me because I wanted to be in and out. The gentleman that helped me was very informative, polite, and nice. He helped me pick out a pair of gloves for my motorcycle classes in two weeks. I didn't want to spend too much money because it was for the class and I still didn't know if motorcycles were for me. Just wanted to keep it simple and cheap for now. I ended up buying Bilt gloves which were originally $50 bucks but they were on sale and ended up paying about $30 for them. Totally was satisfied with that price. They have a great selection here from helmets to gloves to jackets you name it. Prices were pretty steep but HEY ITS YOUR LIFE ON THE LINE. Only getting two stars because i have two reasons to give them one star. First 1 star is cycle gear in general. They just keep getting worse and worse. Store has so much stuff, yet still an awful selection. It's all garbage gear. Mind you, not inexpensive, just bad. Years ago they used to carry lots of real brands, but they have pushed it all out to make room for cramming so much bilt and sedici garbage into a room that you get claustrophobic. Second 1 star is the manager Cody who came to help out. My gf is taking her msf course in a month and I was just trying to show her some options and let her get an idea for what she might like. He started out nice so I welcomed the assistance, but then he just wouldn't stop trying to sell. We were looking at a pair of boots and just wanted my girl to be able to focus on if she like them or not. I don't think he took a breathe for 15 minutes, pitching everything from lowering kits to their loyalty program to kevlar jeans. It actually hit a point that we just clearly started ignoring him, but he just kept on going. Sad part for him is she liked the boots and we probably would have bought them if he gave us some space, but we felt so pressured that we just wanted to get out. Don't take the review too harsh Cody, just see it as opportunity to improve. If people feel you really just want whats best for them, they will want to buy from you. If they feel you are doing/saying anything to get them to buy something, they will run and that's how we felt. read more

By far worst store I've been too in my life, they must hire their employees right off the short bus. I call ahead and speak with some dip saying that he has a quad lock clamp in stock and will hold it for me. Just to arrive 30 minutes later and other knuckle head with bleached hair and stupid hat hands me a stem quadlock not sure if his head was so far up his butt he couldn't see or if he just didn't know what a clamp looked like... anyway long story short he offers to help me order one and I spell everything out for him nice and clear even sounded out each letter individually for him. Just for him to screw something up and doesn't go through and bro asks "is there money on your card". Swear it took the power of god to not backhand this kid. i went in to this Westminster Cycle Gear on last weekend in april 2021, there were about 5 staff members, everybody wearing mask, behind plexy glass trying to be safe.
