They had a helmet in stock that I couldn't find at several other places, I bought it, then second-guessed the sizing, not once, but TWICE (which is embarrassing to admit, but when it comes to helmet fit, you just want to be sure). They exchanged it both times w/o so much as a roll of the eye-balls, which is more than I would have done in their place! That, plus the fact that the shop had several much-needed stocking-stuffers (battery tenders, smartphone adapter cable, winter glove liners) at half-price or better days after Xmas... looking forward to hitting this place up again the next time I need stuff. If you buy tires from here, thinking you will get professional installation, guess again. The tires are installed by sales staff, as time permits. On weekends, this means leaving the wheels and coming back on another day, or if lucky, at the end of day. read more

Unprofessional & RUDE employees. I went into this store today to purchase a 2-pc Dainese suit. The first clerk I asked to help me wouldn't even make eye contact with me and turned to chat with a male customer (the only other customer in the store.) I figured I was getting the not unusual bad male attitude toward female riders. The manager gave me the "we're too busy" routine...by that time I was the only customer in the store. My credit card and I were clearly unwelcome. I'll be going back to the always helpful and pleasant guys at the Oxnard store. read more

They would have gotten a 0-star review but they really stepped up. I ordered (and paid for) a racing suit and was told it would take a few days. After a week I was told that they would call if/when the leathers showed up. After another week I went in to get my money back so I could go buy a set of leathers at another store. At this point, the manager stepped up and decided to make sure I would leave as a happy customer. He offered to upgrade my purchase from the on-sale leathers I had tried to get to a much better (and much more expensive) suit. After helping me find a great new set of leathers he told me about a pair of matching race boots in the back that were slightly "blemished" that he could give me at 1/4 the regular price. I didn't see anything wrong with the boots even while he was pointing out the "blemish", and after wearing them for a few months I still don't see any problem with the boots. I definitely recommend this store but avoid shopping on weekends and late afternoons, they get a little busy. read more

I came in here last month and bought a new jacket and 2 pairs of gloves. They have a pretty big selection and the jacket was on sale for $80 down from 170 and it is a great jacket. The checkout guy asked me if anyone had helped me and I said no and he seemed genuinely upset. I didn't have any issues finding what I needed but it was nice to know that they try and get to everyone who comes in. I will be coming back today to see if I can find a heavier jacket for winter. read more

I am glad there's a brick and mortar motorcycle gear store in the area but honestly their selection is pretty lacking. Specifically their clothing and helmet selections aren't that great. It seems like it's about 70% Bilt (their house brand) and not much else. I wish they would focus more on other brands. It might keep me from going to Amazon. read more

Came I'm here and Matt the manager is such a cool dude. He was on top of every question I had, along with helping me get the correct sizes and took the time to help me go thru all the helmets they offer to try and find somethin similar to my old vendetta 3 by seven zero seven. Man does he have patience. Especially with my 21 question ass. I'm so picky and such a girly girl that knows what I want and he handled all my picky personal needs with tenderness, care, and empathy. What's dope is he has an awesome staff seems like trained by him , because Kim helped me out when I came back in from having to bring back a helmet that my sons dome piece is alil too big for. I left the receipt at home but she was able to look me up and was more then happy to do it and help me get my refund in original form. You can tell Matt knows a lot about the merchandise but that Kim is right there with him knowing how some times certain companies might not make the right size for a kid with a big noggin.but I'll just bring him in next time so we can see what is just right for little man to be safe and stylin. Nice selection on jackets but their customer service is horrible. The staff was extremely rude and sarcastic. They ordered a part and claimed it would be there in 3 days. When we called in to see if the part was in, they claimed it would take 3 more days saying it had 2 tracking numbers with 2 different delivery dates. I think they honestly forgot to order it the first time but they sure didn't forget to charge for it! I would still come in to buy gear buy maybe they need a little lip back to keep them in check! read more

In July I bought a$15.00 battery tende, on sale originally $29.00,from the Lomita store. It worked for 2weeks. I finally had the chance to exchange, not refund, the tender today. Well, the girl at the register told me that it's been a while since I bought the tender and the only way she could do the exchange was for me to buy an extended warranty...I was not angry, I just smiled and said 'that's ok...keep the $15.00 battery tendet " that you sold me and i left the store. So it's safe to say that Cycle Gear had just lost another customer and all the references, word of mouth that I've been passing on ....all for $15.00 of defective item they sold me....very sad read more

There is a couple of sales people and we were in there for about 10 minutes and yes there was a couple of other people, but dismally at one point we walked up asking for help if there is anyone around to help the guy kind of snapped saying well I'm busy and there's other people in here..... The staff here are awesome. Super friendly and also check to make sure if you have a question they're there to answer. As far as selection and brands that is were I give the 3 stars. As its there is not much options for women to choose when it comes to our motorcycle gear and they do not have much here either. I ended buying guy gloves because the girls just didn't have enough to select from all small sizes. The chest protector for women they only have one to choose from and again they only had sm/med sizes. I did buy a chest protector, but again from the men's sections. They have a lot of jackets to choose from for men ended up getting my boyfriend a mesh protected jacket for the summer. The have some cool sales sometimes too. Helmets are a little high and again only sizes they have are Lrg & xl. Need sizes for smaller people. read more

I went in to order a helmet on a monday afternoon, they checked their warehouses and told me it would be shipped to them in 3-5 days. I called back on fri and they said it was not ever ordered. I spoke with Megan both times and she did not did not have much of an explanation, or even an apology for that matter. We drove 15+ miles out of our way instead of going to the Culver City location as my BF had visited before and had a positive customer experience. Not the case today. You may think, oh they were busy- no not the case, 3 customers and 4 sales people- after trying jackets and helmets on we had to ask for help. We were given two helmets and left alone. Even after we made quite a racket in the front of the store trying to find more helmets, still no attention- so we will go to Culver City next time and tell our many, many biker friends to stay away--and yes we spent 120+ on a leather vest only because I need one, prices were reasonable but I would pay a bit more not to deal with that treatment again. read more

I'm giving a 5-star review because I have consistently received such great help and service from one particular employee -- Trevor. He goes above and beyond, and sets a standard that not all the other employees meet. I like that the store has a good selection of dirt-bike products, and reasonable prices. The store can be VERY busy on a weekend, and it can be hard to find help. If you come when it's slower, everyone is very pleasant, most are knowledgeable, and its a better experience. read more

Let me first start with how amazing Laura at the Canoga park branch is ! She greeted us as soon as we walked in with a smile regardless of how busy she was. This was my wife's and my first time visiting a cycle gear ever!! So glad we picked this location!! After browsing helmets Laura approached us not with a sales attitude rather friendly asking about what kind of bikes we road and what features and benefits we were looking for in a helmet. She answered every question we had( we had a list). She had a stellar attitude lots of patience Totally made us feel confident that we had found the perfect place to get our gear from. We feel satisfied that We were taken care of correctly and not taken advantage of! The environment in the store feels really homely everyone who works there is extremely friendly and helpful! They actually try to help you not just out to get your money. I notice doesn't matter if youre spending $2 or 1000 they will treat you equally! You guys have amazing employees! Laura went above and beyond to get us what we needed! No wonder she's one of the managers there!! definitely 120% customer satisfaction!! We walked out with 2 helmets and 3 jackets!
